Chapter 48: Battlefield Dancer

"Unfortunately," Kivn started. "Your attacks will never reach me in this sealed space."

"Water Creation Magic: Sea Dragon's Nest." Noelle cast her spell after realizing her 'Sea Dragon's Waterball' was nullified.

"You're just wasting your magic." Kivn renewed her needle rain, the defensive spell was also nullified. "You're only going to exhaust yourself. And after all I went through to try to let you die peacefully. You're trying very hard, but I wonder how long you'll last."

"If we don't break through her spell, we can't get out of here." Solid realized. "There's no way out."

"I can't use creation magic within this space, but I can intentionally cast that rampaging spell." Noelle's mind was churning. "Nozel-nii-sama, please help me out." she then proceeded to flood the entire area with water, just as Nozel encased his siblings in a mercury sphere and forcing Kivn to undo her spell and let the water out.

Nozel wasted no time in letting loose a long strand of liquid mercury to capture Kivn in a cocoon.

"It was quite a crazy method of fighting, unbefitting of a royal." Nozel remarked. "But we were able to win because of it. So, this is the method of fighting you've learned. Because you looked like our mother, I feared I'd lose her again. I didn't think you would become strong. I couldn't lose you. I had to protect you. That's why I tried to keep you out of the battlefield. But you became strong, and that means I was mistaken. So, I apologize, Noelle." he flushed slightly. "The fight is not over yet." he reminded. "We must treat Nerba at once. No..." he muttered when three large compass needles stabbed him from the back.

"Too bad for you." the enraged Kivn melted off her restraints, activating another more powerful 'Another Atlas'. "This mad world will not end. It's now even bigger and more powerful. It cannot be stopped. There's nothing you can do. Give up, grieve and regret your actions, royals. I can wait until you slowly weaken, but I think you'd prefer to die quickly, you foolish and sinful humans." she was taken aback when a new spell appeared in Noelle's Grimoire.

"Water Creation Magic: Valkyrie Dress." Noelle donned her water armor and she took the fight to the air.

"You managed to cut through all of that attack?" Kivn was shocked to see Noelle not only smoothly dodging her compass needles, and also destroy the last needle wave with her lance. "Willful Compass." she raised a shield to block Noelle's charge. "The mana currents you dance through so elegantly; I'm going to change their destination, as well as your own, to hell." she redirected the attack. "Fall, royal. She overruled my mana compulsion?"

"Sorry, but I'm not dancing elegantly." Noelle corrected. "This armor, everything that touches this mana is under my control. I'm desperately struggling and fighting, forcing my way forward. Now be destroyed, both you and this mad world." her lance punched through Kivn's compass shield, knocking out the reincarnated elf in the process and deactivating the 'Another Atlas' barrier, only to find the Silva siblings surrounded by six more elves from Kivn's group.

One of Zora's trap circles redirected one of the elves' fire blasts back at its caster. "Now that's what I call a perfect surprise attack." the Trap Magic user grinned. "Go on, get to work, you royal attendant jerk." he dropped Paplo to the ground. "If you don't hurry up, you won't have any masters anymore." he reminded.

"Bubble Healing Magic: Bubble Refresher." Paplo instantly went to work, healing Nerba.

"You lost your will to fight?" Zora rebuked. "Give me a break, you royal Magic Knight. The other two got their asses kicked, too. All you do is flaunt your arrogance, and this is all you got? Pathetic. You can't even protect your own family, you royal Magic Knight Squad Captain? You guys are supposed to be stronger than us commoners, aren't you? Let's see how brave you can be."

"He's exactly right." Nozel sealed up his wounds with his mercury and got back to his feet. "Grovelling at something like this brings shame to the royal House of Silva as well as the title of Captain of the Silver Eagles."

"All of you bastards have so much magic, it makes me sick." Zora tsked. "I'm gonna need you to dial it down to commoner level. Ash Magic: Revelation of the Cowardly." he sent out two strands of ash, letting Nozel and Noelle know where he set his traps. "I've rigged plenty for ya." he informed, stopping three of the elves from taking off after Noelle. "Considering your reactions, I guess you guys don't know about complicated magic like counter-traps."

"Water Creation Magic: Sea Dragon's Roar." Noelle deliberately missed the elf with wind magic and sending it into one of Zora's trap circles.

"Mercury Magic: Silver Rain." Nozel also sent his spell into the same trap circle.

"These spells were derived and developed over countless years." Zora stated, the elves were taken out by the combination spell. "Complicated humans spells; looks like you elves don't know about them."
