The family had decided to go to Career Day at the high school. Iris had wanted to look into the art colleges and Siri and Remy had set up a booth for the garage. Being your own boss was always a plus to teenagers. Fred and George had come as well, they didn't want to be left at home and since Miss Caroline was going, they were sure to follow.

Iris noticed that Liz must have made Care mad because she had been at the Broadcast Journalist booth when she stomped out of the gym. Remus and Sirius had seen it as well and were talking with Liz to see what had upset her.

Iris and the twins ran out after Care, they had just seen her be knocked out and thrown into an SUV. Running to her car, the twins jump in and Iris flies out of the parking lot. Chasing down the SUV, none of them know that it was one of the vampires that had been coming into town. They needed to get to Caroline.

"Logan Fell just showed up. Which is impossible because we know he died. He's a vampire now. I need to let the whole council know but I don't want to leave Caroline here alone" Liz says to Remus.

"She can stay at our house tonight, I'm sure both girls will be okay with that" Remus tells her. Liz nods to him just as her phone begins to ring.

Liz answers, "What do you want Logan"

"I think I want the satisfaction of turning your daughter into a vampire" Logan replies

Iris watches as she speeds behind the car that has Care in it, slamming on the breaks when the car comes to a complete halt. Iris jumps out of the car, running for the SUV. "Care" Iris screams.

Damon, catching sight of Iris yells at her, "You need to leave, NOW"

The twins wrench the door open at the same time Iris realizes what stopped the car. The fangy bros are fighting Cares kidnapper. Iris moves so that the twins can pick Care up and move her to her car. Iris stands there for a minute more when she hears Liz coming from a phone on the floor.

Logan Fell is knocked to the ground and Damon grabs the phone, "Liz, hey we got her. Yeah Iris was chasing the car that took her, here" handing the phone to Iris.

"Hey I'm going to take Care to my house. I don't want to leave her alone" Iris tells Liz, glaring at Damon and Stefan. "Okay we will see you soon"

Iris looks from her car to Damon, "Are you going to take care of that or should I" Damon scoffs at her.

"I'll deal with him"

Iris nods and goes back to her car where the twins have Care sandwiched between them in the backseat. "Let's get home"

Iris didn't notice that Stefan left and Damon was alone with Logan where he let him go.

Liz closed the door to Iris's bedroom softly, her phone ringing brings her to a pause, "I'll be right there" walking down the stairs she looks to Sirius and Remus.

Remus speaks up, "Caroline is more than welcome to stay with us while you deal with this"

"Iris may be hard pressed to let her leave now anyway" Sirius adds.

Liz takes a deep breath and tells the men, "If you're sure. I know she feels safe here with all of you. I need to get back out there"

Both men nod that it is and Liz looks to the younger two men, "Thank you both and tell Iris I said thank you. Damon said you were chasing the car that took her, we wouldn't have even known where he took her if it wasn't for you three"

Fred and George looked to Liz, "Iris is a little sister to us and Caroline is a beautiful person that didn't deserve tonight. We would walk into fire for both of them" Liz was shocked at their response.

Nodding she walked to the door with Remus, "I'll update you when we find him. We may need your help if this continues. The council isn't as large as it once was" Liz tells Remus. He nods to her.

Iris decided after the whole kidnapping episode that they all needed a vacation. Both girls were caught up on school and could afford to take a couple of days to relax. Bringing the idea up to Remy and Siri, they agreed that the girls needed a weekend away from everything. Taking the twins was a must because they could help protect them.

Talking Liz into the plan was a little more difficult. Care decided to play the kidnap victim card and got her mom to agree to a long weekend. This was how the girls found themselves driving to New York with the twins.

Everyone took turns driving so they were able to make it there in good time. They spent the whole weekend looking at museums, shopping, eating and just enjoying the nightlife of New York. Magic had its advantages when trying to look older and get into clubs.

Iris had woke up before everyone else and wanted to grab breakfast for the group. Standing in a cafe, waiting on her order she noticed a man walk in behind her. Something about this man made her magic tingly. Trying to shake the feeling off, Iris went to the counter and grabbed her order. She had turned to walk out of the cafe when she bumped into the man.

At first contact her magic went haywire. She had never felt this in her life. Checking that she hadn't spilt anything on the man, Iris looked up into the most beautiful blue-green eyes. Taking in his whole face she noticed his mouth quirked to the side.

"Hello luv, I must have been in your way" the beautiful man said.

Iris was mute, it took a minute for her brain to come back online, "I am so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was walking"

The man looked surprised, "You're not from here are you"

Iris shook her head, "I'm actually with friends for the weekend, we are from Virginia" she replied.

Smirking the man replied, "I meant you're not American. The accent gave you away love"

Iris blushed and shook her head, "Uhm no, my family is from London"

Understanding that she was giving a broad answer, "May I help you with your coffees, would hate for you to take out another unsuspecting victim"

Iris looked at the man, smiled and then asked, "Maybe you should tell me your name before trying to get into my hotel. I'll start, Iris Black"

Smiling, the man shook his head at her cheek, "Nik Michaels" he told her. Iris had a feeling that he may not be telling the complete truth on that. She wasn't sure why but that name didn't fit him for some reason.

'Nik Michaels' walked Iris to her hotel lobby, chatting about the museums she had visited with her friends. Stopping in the lobby he looked at her before asking, "How long are you in town for"

Iris thought for a moment, "We will be here until Monday"

Nik smiled at her answer, "Could I possibly ask you to dinner tonight"

Iris nodded her head, "I would like that, my friends are going out and I didn't want to be a fourth wheel" she joked. He looked confused for a moment then chuckled.

"We definitely wouldn't want that. Well I will pick you up at seven, right here" Nik kisses Iris's hand before walking out.

Iris was giddy as she made it up to the room with food and coffee. Thank Merlin for heating charms, opening the door Care caught the smile on her face.

"Where have you been young lady! We have been so worried" Care tells her. She smiles at her friends before setting up the breakfast she had gotten.

"I went and got us all breakfast and then I was asked on a date" Care squeals at this while both boys put on their serious face.

"And just who thinks he" "can ask our baby sister out" the twins ask her.

Iris smiles and tells them all about Nik Michaels. She doesn't tell them about how her magic felt or that she thinks he's not being truthful on his name. She doesn't want them to worry and she didn't think her magic would lead her wrong.
