Iris awoke to the void space like when she met Death. Confused, Iris hadn't been killed that she knew of. What the hell, "Death" she called out.
"Mistress" Death said, appearing beside her.
Iris jumped, "Warn a girl, Merlin" she mumbled at him, "Care to explain how I ended up here"
Death stared at her then began, "Sheila Bennett was supposed to move on, meet the ancestors"
Iris flinched, turning to stare at Death, "Well I didn't want her to go yet, it wasn't her fault and I didn't see that as a reason for her to die"
Who knew Death could be over dealing with his Mistress already, "You have changed the course for that whole world now. Sheila Bennett was supposed to die so Bonnie Bennett would take her place"
Iris was mad now, "Bonnie is a child, no child should have that kind of pressure put on them. I was not about to let her turn into me. Sheila is now teaching Bonnie what she needs to know and she won't be sent down the wrong path by people who want to use her" Iris paused, "I would have loved to have someone change the fabric of a universe for me, oh wait. You did" she states looking right at him.
Death sighed, "Next time, use the bracelet I gave you. If you have to do anything like this again you will not be seen"
"Thank you. I know I should have called on you to ask for help but I felt that you wouldn't agree with what I wanted" Iris tells him.
"Just ask for help Mistress. I'm here to serve you" Death tells her. Waving an arm, the room dissolves.

Liz called Sirius and Remus for a council meeting; she warned them beforehand that Mystic Falls favorite son had come back. Attending the meeting they notice Damon is creeping in towards the end. When the mayor introduced John Gilbert, both men knew that something was going on that Liz didn't know. She tried to keep them in the loop, being outsiders, it was difficult for the council to accept them easily. Liz vouched for them because of their daughters.
John tells the council about the blood banks and hospitals that are reporting missing blood, dead hunters and hikers. John tells them that it is time to be serious about the vampire issue. Showing the council the Gilbert device, he explains how they are going to end it.
Remus and Sirius know that Liz doesn't want it to happen but she's being out voted. The men leave the meeting, calling Alaric to tell him that he needs to be there tonight.

Iris is helping Caroline get everything together for Miss Mystic Falls and the Founders Day parade. Iris had no clue how Care was able to do all of this, she had to be Supergirl. Care had been so excited when they announced the court for Miss Mystic Falls, her only worry was that Elena was on it too. Trying to keep up her cheerfulness, Care asked both Fred and George to escort her. They had planned for the twins to switch off during the event so they were both able to.
Iris is helping Care do her hair and make-up, they are almost finished when they hear Elena talking to her aunt. Care gets a look on her face that pisses Iris off. "Bathroom, now" she tells her.
Iris shuts the door behind them once they are both in, "I swear to Merlin Caroline, you had better not sabotage this. You deserve to win this, no one and I repeat NO ONE does as much for this town as you. You're seventeen years old and put more effort into your community than most people in their forties. I understand better than most how Elena feels but that doesn't matter in this. You want this and have worked so hard to make it here, don't throw it because she has puppy eyes that people can't see past."
Care looks at Iris, her eyes very wide, "Do you really think that I can win" she asks in a small voice.
Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Iris tells her, "Since the first day I met you, you have always been there for me. You helped me navigate school and become a cheerleader. You got me out to do things normal teenagers do" Iris hugged Care and continued, "You didn't turn me away when you found out what I was." Pulling back to look in her eyes, "You are one of a kind Care, I don't know anyone else who deserves this than you"
Care waves at her eyes, "Ugh, don't make me cry" pulling Iris back into a hug, "I don't care if you're a witch or even if you have a weird thing with Death, you're my sister" They head back out of the bathroom and double check Cares make-up.
"Let's do this, I'll see you at the end with the crown" Iris tells her, heading off down the stairs while she lines up with the others.
Standing at the bottom, watching all the girls get called down, Iris notices that Stefan is a no show for Elena. Damon of course steps in for him, gross. Amber, a girl who was supposed to be before Care doesn't come down. Well shit, missing girl and missing vamp can't be good. Iris watches as Care is called and smiles so wide that her face hurts. Fred and George are having a great time switching off and spending time with her. They are so good for each other.
When the announcer calls them all over for the awards, Iris is standing with Fred and George. She has her arms coiled through theirs, she's so jumpy that they are holding her in place. "Relax Iris" "You're going to" "Break our" "Arms" they tell her. Iris takes a deep breath, then another and holds it. Here we go.
The announcer opens the envelope, taking a dramatic pause of course. "May I have your attention, the results are in. Your next Miss Mystic Falls is...Miss Caroline Forbes"
Care is completely shocked, Iris is jumping up and down screaming for Care. The twins are trying to get her out before she embarrasses Care.

Iris and her family had been at the carnival for a couple of hours now. Sirius and Remus had told them all what John Gilbert and the council had planned for the night. Everyone was on alert and planned to leave before shit went down.
Standing next to a booth, Iris hears a 'pop'. Dobby would never expose himself unless he knew something that they needed. Iris is automatically worried. Looking around to check if anyone is watching, Iris ducks under the booth with Dobby.
"Missy Iris and family need to leave, a bunch of vampires are here. They are angry" Dobby tells her. Iris thanks him and sends him straight home. She gets back up and finds Remy and Siri. Luckily they are standing with the twins.
"We need to leave now, Dobby just told me that a bunch of angry vampires are here" Iris explains. "I need to find Care to make sure she leaves, her mom wanted her home tonight" looking around she finally spots her. Her uncles agree and take off, the twins follow Iris.
Running up to Care who is standing with Matt and Tyler, Iris pulls her off to the side. "Care you need to head home. Dobby just told me a bunch of angry vamps are here" Care agrees, telling her that Tyler will take her. She kisses the twins and leaves. Iris sends the twins home too. Iris knows that they didn't want her to stay but since she can't die, she's the best one to make sure nothing happens.
Walking back to the main part of the carnival, Iris starts to hear a ringing in her ears. Looking around to see what could cause it, she notices people dropping. They're covering their heads like a sound is taking them down. Shit, it's the Gilbert device. Iris doesn't see the sheriff anywhere. Thank Merlin she got her family and Care out.
Iris notices Stefan and Elena trying to run when Stefan hits the ground. Iris takes off towards them, Alaric meeting her. Alaric luckily gets the officers to let him deal with Stefan, they get him away. This can't be good. If Stefan is here where is dickhead. Pulling her cloak out of her pocket, Iris disappears. Shes checking buildings when she notices John Gilbert coming out of one. Her Animagus senses are heightened and she can smell gas and smoke on him.
Iris enters the building that he came out and finds the source, a fire has started in the basement. Running down the steps she notices all the bodies in the basement, Anna is dead with a stake through the heart. Damon is crawling towards the mayor who ends up with his neck snapped by a vampire. 'Ugh do I have to be the one who saves him' Iris thinks to herself, of course she could leave him. No she's a better person that that.
Iris takes her cloak off and back in her pocket, running over to Damon she helps him stand. "What are you doing down here" he asks, he almost sounds drugged. Shit the vervain needles.
Iris starts dragging him up the stairs, her magic making a path for them, "Saving your dumbass I guess, now hurry I'm too pretty to burn" she tells him. They get to the top of the stairs and Stefan is standing there. "Here, take him and you never seen me" Iris tells them running off.

Iris finally arrives home. She derserves an award for saving Damon. I mean who would save the person who snapped their neck. Obviously she's a better person than him. That's got to be it. walking into the house, Iris is greeted by Siri and Remy hugging her.
"Why do you smell like smoke" Siri asks
"They burnt all of the vampires and the mayor for some reason, I saved Damon from burning alive" Iris tells them. Thats when Sirius' phone goes off. He stands and answers it. He looks at Iris and the twins then walks out of the room. Remus gets up to follow.
Iris is really confused, Fred and George look just as lost. It couldn't have been more than five minutes when they walk back in. Remus sits by the twins and Sirius sits next to Iris.
"That was Liz" he begins, "Care was in a car accident"
