Iris awoke, refreshed after sleeping like the dead. Heading downstairs she found everyone nursing coffee and inhaling the breakfast Dobby had prepared. Sirius and Remus were telling Fred and George of what the council had been doing. John Gilbert seemed to have been attacked by a rogue vampire and was heading back out of town. Iris was only half listening, more worried about the food in front of her.

Hearing the ding of a text, Iris thought it was Nik checking on her. For someone Iris had only spent hours with, he was an amazingly caring man. Iris wouldn't have made it through this nightmare with Caroline without his extra support. Remy and Siri tried but they couldn't break through the fog that had swallowed her.

Getting up to grab her phone, Iris startled when it started ringing as soon as it was in her hand. Looking at the screen she smiled when Carolines name popped up. Answering it, "Hey Care. We were just about to head to the hospital to see you" silence met her, "Care" Iris was walking over to the table, putting the phone on speaker she set it down.

"Iris" came a very tiny reply. Iris knew then something was wrong. Caroline Forbes was not a quiet girl.

"Care, what's wrong, talk to me" Iris asks, waving for the twins to hurry and get ready.

"I need your help, I thought it was Elena visiting me but it wasn't" Care whispered.

Fred and George were already running off to get dressed. Iris took off up the stairs, Remus and Sirius were running to get the car ready.

"Care we are headed to you right now" Iris tells her, meeting the twins on the stairs coming back down. She had made sure to grab Care some clothes too. They weren't leaving her again.

"Care, I need you to tell me exactly what happened. What did the Elena look alike do, please Care" Iris asks.

"She came in, late last night. I thought Elena had finally come to visit me, I should have known better. She talked like Elena did but then it flipped, she was sneering at me. She told me she needed me to send a message" Care sniffles, "Iris, I think, it's crazy but I think she killed me" Iris sees the twins pale, she was sure she didn't look any better, "That's crazy though, I would be dead wouldn't I" she asks quietly.

Fred and George look to Iris, she's the only one who had died and come back. They had been brought back by Death and knew it.

Iris tried to remain calm, "Care we are almost to you, try to keep calm and we will be with you shortly. Matter of fact, is there anyone near your room that would notice extra people" she asked.

They could hear Caroline shuffle on the bed, "I don't see anyone"

"Care the twins are about to be in the room. I won't be far behind but you don't need to be alone. They're coming now, sit on the bed Care" Iris instructs her.

Iris looks to the twins, "Go" 'pop' 'pop'. Quiet pops could be heard from both ends of the phone.

"Oh thank god, they're here" Care tells Iris.

"Good, I will be there in ten minutes max Care, Stay with Fred and George" Iris hangs up.

"Pup, I hate to ask but do you think one of those idiots gave her blood when you left. I couldn't imagine why, she was healed but we all know they're not the brightest" Sirius asked, Remus had been watching Iris, when she paled he told Sirius "Pull over"

Iris barely got her door open, throwing up everywhere, wiping her mouth she looked at her uncles, "I'm going to murder those fucking morons" She screams.

Pulling into the hospital, they rush to Carolines room. Walking in they see the twins on the bed with Caroline smooshed between them. Care stared at her with wide teary eyes. Iris climbed on the bed with the others, "Care" she whispers.

All four were laying together while Sirius and Remus were trying to convince the charge nurse to let Care go home. The nurse told them she would page a doctor for her release.

Iris asked Care, "Other than Elena's double, have you seen any of the Scooby Gang" at least that got a giggle out of her.

"None of them have come to see me" she tells them quietly, "My mom said that she had seen Damon early yesterday" this cause Iris to growl. She had to love her Animagus traits. That confirmed it for her but she needed to clarify it for Care.

"Is there any way that the dick head could have slipped you blood" Iris asked her.

Care took in a sharp breath, "Did he turn me? Am I a vampire because he couldn't leave well enough alone, oh my god, then Elena's creepy twin killed me" Care started to hyperventilate.

Remus hurried to silence the room, "We do have a way we can check but only if you want to"

Care started crying, "I'll be a monster if it's true"

Fred and George stopped her line of thinking, quick, "Caroline, no matter if you're a human or a vampire, we will love you regardless" "You love us, knowing what we are. It's the same with Iris, Sirius and Remus" they tell her.

Iris squeezed her tighter, "I will never not love my sister" Remus and Sirius each grabbed her feet, agreeing.

Care took a deep breath, "Can we do the test and then get out of here, I've had enough of this place"

Sirius nodded, "Boys be ready to grab her" he says as he makes a cut on his hand. It was instantaneous, veins began to appear under her eyes and she leapt towards Sirius. The twins had grabbed her arms and Iris put all her weight on her legs. Sirius got rid of the blood and Care went back to normal.

"I am a vampire, aren't I" Care asks them, tears falling down her cheeks. Iris climbs further up the bed to hug her.

"We are going to make it so your life is no different" Fred began, "We will make it as normal as wizards can" George jokes, "We love you Caroline Forbes" they say together.

Iris gets up from the bed, "I need to talk with Sheila. You're going to need a daylight ring" Iris starts to say.

Sirius and Remus jump in, "Iris, we will go see Sheila and get everything ready. You three take care of our girl and take her to the house as soon as they release her" Sirius hands Iris the car keys, "Just get home safe. Maybe we can head out of town for a bit. I'll talk to Liz and get everything sorted"

"I'm thinking the same rogue vampire who attacked John Gilbert is the Elena Caroline met" Remus told them, "We can use that with Liz, tell her we want to get you girls out of town for safety reasons" Iris gives them hugs and they hug the rest and head out.

Iris is helping Care get ready to leave when her phone goes off. She knows its Nik.

Nik: How's Caroline doing Luv? How are you doing?

Iris: Care is being released, I think my uncles are going to take us out of town so she can relax and heal.

Nik: Do you have anywhere specific you plan to visit?

Iris: Not that I know of, why do you have an idea?

Nik: Come back to New York. I can send a plane to you so that you wouldn't have to drive.

Caroline is looking at the phone over Iris's shoulder, "You had better tell him yes" she squeals.

Iris snorts at her, "Care do you really want to be in a city full of people while we are trying to help you learn how to handle this new lifestyle"

Fred and George walk back into the room, noticing Iris's stare they ask "What is" "Going on"

Iris tells them about Niks offer and that Care wants to accept.

"Maybe it would be a good idea" "We can stay outside of the city" "Help Care learn" "The big test would be" "Going into the city" they tell Iris. Care has a huge smile on her face but quickly looks at Iris with pleading eyes.

"We will have to talk to Siri and Remy but I will tell Nik we are thinking about his offer" Iris tells them.

"YAY" Care squeezes Iris in a hug.

"Care, you're crushing me" Iris wheezes. Care lets her go and they all laugh. Iris texts Nik back.

Iris: Let me talk to my uncles. You do realize you're setting yourself up for meeting the parents, right?

Nik: I wouldn't have asked if I hadn't thought of that. It would be worth it to see you again.

That causes Iris to blush a deep red. The others laugh at her face.

Iris: You are just too sweet. Okay let me talk to them and I will get back with you. XOXO

"AWWWWW" Care squeals

"Freddie, I think we need to have a big brother talk with Nik" George says

"Georgie, I think you might be right" Fred replies. Iris swats them and continues out the hospital room.
