Everyone, I apologize for the lengthy hiatus of this story. It was not my intention for this, but I do hope you enjoy this new chapter. Thank you to everyone who has been waiting patiently and to those who have favored and chosen to follow the story. Once again, here is the newest chapter!

It was coming for you, the dark shadow. You ran as fast as you could down the hall that stretched endlessly, no matter the distance you covered. Your heart was pounding; you felt its presence growing closer and closer. It was nearly atop you, and you felt it nipping at your heels. You wanted to scream, but if you did…the shadow would find you, or worse…you didn't want to be tangled up in its grasp. Not again…not ever again.

You pushed harder; your legs were burning. But you kept going; there had to be some way out of this….any door you came across and found was bolted shut, even as you pounded a hand on it. Banging against it until it was raw, you heard an eerie swish.

Your hair stood on end, and you bolted down the hall. It was close. A coldness encroached on you, and even the breath you took came out as a frosted puff. It was almost here. You needed to run faster. The shadow had you in its sight and sped up.

You needed to be faster but tripped, and the shadow pounced….you screamed….and fell…down and…

"I am sorry, Aizawa-sensei!" you shout in a slight panic, snapping your eyes up. Half expecting to find yourself still running the dark halls of UA, you were gravely…mistaken.

Very mistaken.

Instead of dark halls, and after adjusting your perception, remember and find yourself in a dark, familiar bedroom. A bedroom you've come to…recognize by the posters and the desk, but also from the bed you were supposed to be sleeping. It was empty because you weren't….in….it. Confused momentarily, you essentially put it together…you fell out from the nightmare. You look down and find yourself tangled in some of the sheets and…yourself on something hard.

You look down and discover two things: first, yourself in an interesting position, and second, Bakugo's red eyes glaring like hot-tipped daggers at you. They were the only color in the dark room you could see.

You stare back, blinking a few times, tilt your head, and ask, "Why are you under me?"

Bakugo snapped and shot up, flipping you off him, "Get off!" He growled, being mindful not to raise his voice too loud otherwise, wake his parents. That was the last thing he wanted, especially from his mom. If either parent came in and saw this….he was glad it was dark. First in class with you in his lap, and now this!?

The room flipped upside down for you before becoming straight again. You found yourself on your back looking at the ceiling when a shadow covered you, and Bakugo blocked your view. His look was….to say the least….not demonic, but he reminded you of an angry bear woken from hibernation.

Still, it was a slightly scary look. You just weren't sure why something about it was humorous. But you dare not express it but, but your eyes did. Bakugo grabbed you by the collar of your shirt, which happened to be one of his; his mother made him….share; your clothes were almost here, and he hosted you up until you were inches from his face.

His breath was hot, like a dragon's, and his grip was like iron. You clasped a hand over his and began prying it off with minimal effort. He noticed and tightened his grip, so you used your other hand and pushed against his face.

"You're hot!" You unintentionally say, moving your face away.

Bakugo's face switched from anger to confusion for a second, then reverted to his anger.

"What!?" He growled.

You kept pushing his face away, "Release me!" You demand quietly, being mindful of your voice level.

"No. I've had it up to here with you!" He hissed softly.

You squirm, "I meant no harm. M-My apologizes. Now release me. This is quite uncomfortable."

He drew you closer, "Uncomfortable!? You were on me!"

"It was a dream. What occurs during one's sleep with images, thoughts, and sensations-"

"I know what a dream is, Floor Face!"

"Then why are you upset?"

You were now dangling an inch off the floor, both from your quirk and him. He noticed what you were doing and started up his quirk.

"Because you woke me up!"

You noticed his quirk activating; it actually looked pretty in the dark, "It was an…an accident."

"I don't care. My room. My rules. No more dreams!"

"Actually, I was mistaken, it was more a nightmare. A frightening and unpleasant dr-l

He cut you off, "I know what that is! Stop giving me definitions. I'm not stupid." His raised a bit.

You managed to pry his hold off and created a foot distance, still hovering off the floor.

Neither you nor him said anything in the tense silence, his quirk still setting off sparks. As tempting as it was for you to go into that mode, you resisted and came down. Bakugo watched you, expecting you to make a move. His blood was pumping, and his muscles were still tense. You eyed him, still quietly thinking his prevention was hilarious, and to his surprise, you sincerely bowed.

"I meant no harm, and my apologies for awakening you from your slumber." You come up and look him straight in the eyes, "especially since you need the required hours tomorrow, which is important."

There was something in your eyes that Bakugo couldn't detect, but he stopped his quirk and calmed down slightly, with annoyance.

"That's a shitty apology!" He snapped, crossing his arms. His hard stare at you hadn't disappeared. "Keep your nightmares to yourself next time! Or I'll blow you out of the room! Tch that won't work next time."

His threat sent a small shiver across you, almost making you giggle for some reason, but you simply smiled and agreed. He turned away and went back to his beanbag. You waited until he was in it before flying over back into the bed. You lay down and remembered most of the sheets were with Bakugo looked at them and were just about to reach for them, but you pulled your hand back. You shouldn't push it. You managed to get out unscathed.

Master Splinter always said to choose one's fights wisely, and you just did, even if the face was humorous.

It was time. Morning came, and you woke up, finding yourself floating a few inches off the bed outlined in your energy with….sheets on you; you were confused, wondering how, but that went away when you found Mitsuki standing over you with a kind smile.

"Hey, you're finally awake."

You rub your eyes and sit up; you notice Bakugo is gone. He must be getting ready.

You stretch, "Good morning, Mrs. Mitsuki. Yes, I am awake."

She chuckled softly, "Aren't you cute? I've been trying to wake you for a minute." She held up your uniform, "Might want to hurry; you don't want to miss today."

She handed you your uniform. You take it, thank her, and drop lower yourself onto the floor. You hurry out of the room when you remember something and turn to her, "My papa, has he left any messages?"

She gave it a thought, "Not that I could think of ."

Your face dropped a bit; she quickly added to ease you.

"But I'll make a call today to reach out to him, okay?"

Your face lit up, and you leave. Quickly, you get dressed. You overslept, and you knew that because you missed breakfast, but Masaru packed you something to eat along the way. Bakugo stood at the door dressed, ready and peeved. Every second that passed and hearing you rustling around to get ready and the sound of your voice calling out to his parents on something or about something squeezed his brows tighter and tighter. You were taking too damn long; he wanted to shout but held it back, knowing what would happen and-

"Mrs. Mitsuki!" You call from upstairs, "Have you seen my book bag? It seems to have been displaced, and my tie as well."

Bakugo clenched his hands. His mom answered.

"Did you check the closet?"

You went back to check and came out empty-handed, "It is not there. Neither."

"By the desk?"

You went back again and came back with the same response. Why did he have to get stuck with you? Bakugo was fuming from his fist with smoke. His dad, who was getting ready for work, noticed a strange look on his son and the fact he hadn't once exploded at you. Even at breakfast, when you were still sleeping, Masaru noticed his son just grumbling while aggressively eating. He couldn't make out the words, but it was clear it was about you and something his son added to his ire…maybe.

Mitsuki kneeled down and looked under the bed in Bakugo's room, reaching underneath. She grabbed something and pulled it out. Your eyes lit up—it was your book bag and tie!

"Here we go," she stood, dusting herself off, and handed you the items.

You glowed, "Thank you! Thank you, Mrs. Mitsuki! I wonder how it managed to locate itself under there?"

She shrugged with a half smile, "Who knows. Now, let's get you off to school.

"Yes! Agree!"

Bakugo's smoke darkened, and sparks started flickering. He had it. His limit was off.

"Hurry up!" he roared, snatching the door open. "Or I'm leaving you behind, Floor Face! I swear if I'm late, you're gonna pay!"

Mitsuki stepped out calmly and shouted back, "Don't be rude! Be patient. She was looking for her things that somehow ended up far under the bed!"

"What are you saying? It's my fault or something, you old hag!" Bakugo fired back.

You came flying and landed next to Masaru. He quickly pulled you out of the line of fire, and he covered your ears.

"Well, who else could it be!?" Mitsuki grilled, "Last I checked, I told her to hang her backpack in the closet! And May's pretty good at listening dutifully!"

Bakugo's hands were really smoking, "Maybe she forgot! Don't blame it on me!"

The two of them kept going, and Masaru slowly navigated you towards the door. Quietly, he wished you a good day with a kind smile. You thanked him with a respectable bow and smile when Bakugo, finally finished with his word-throwing against his mom, came out and slammed the front door.

He looked at you for a second and walked right by, snapping at you to hurry up. You come up and, as usual, follow him a few feet behind.

What a rocky morning, you thought with an inward sigh, staring up at the sky. It wasn't how you wanted it to go, considering what today was, and no doubt everyone was excited about it.

You wondered, still with your eyes on the sky, how Izuku's, April's, and the guys' mornings were probably not as….lively as yours. You'd have to ask when you saw them before heading out for the day. Though you had no doubt April and Izuku's went well, you just knew it and couldn't wait to hear about it when the two of you were doing your internships together.

If only you knew what your sister chose, hopefully, you huffed with a frown. It wasn't with Ochaco. They spent enough time together; besides, you were April's sister, not her. You hoped it wasn't with her. As for Izuku, your concerns wrapped around him, and you wondered where he was placed. You hoped it was a safe internship, but your heart hurt at the thought of anything happening to him.

For a moment, Izuku appeared in your mind, smiling at you. You stopped for a moment and smiled. When he suddenly vanished, everything became distorted, and that grim chill ran down your spine; your heart screamed, and the world around you faded into darkness. You stopped and couldn't feel anything….around you, everything felt cold and lifeless, but it was what appeared before you, a horrific sight that seemed so familiar and felt familiar. The tremor that came over you was familiar, too.

What was this?

Some daymare of some kind….how…just a second ago you were walking to-

Bakugo!?

Where was he? Your hairs stand on end as you frantically look around. He wasn't here. It was just you and Izuku, who was….he was….before you and…

You jolted, pushed off, and ran! You were unsure where your legs would take you, but you just wanted to get away from what you saw and alls and feel something, anything, for that matter. Where was everyone? Why were they gone? Where did this darkness come from?

Why were you in this daymare and-

A calming voice with an ethereal echo spoke, "Shhh. Calm yourself, sweetie."

That voice you've heard it before, maybe, you didn't think much about it but latched onto it and-

WHAMP!

You hit something hard, toppled over, heard sharp gasps, and felt a gentle breeze brush against you. You could feel it again and sigh, relieved.

Everything was alright. The darkness was gone, and that scene was gone, but…your heart was still hammering against your chest, and you could hear-

Giggles and growling?

No, that wasn't right. You shake your head a bit, but the sounds still remain. Finally, you look about to see a few people walking down in your direction, pointing down in your direction with surprised expressions and either giggling or smiling. You raise a brow, confused. You figured out where the giggles were coming from, but you hadn't with the growling, which was starting to sound….thunderous.

Though important, where was that rumbling vibration coming from? Was someone using a quake quirk?

Remembering the people pointing at you, you drop your eyes and once again find Bakugo's fuming red eyes staring at you with an intent that you couldn't describe. Only that…you hopped off, snatched your bag, and took off to the sky, barely missing Bakugo's hand from snatching you back.

Hopefully, the others were having a better morning.

"Bye, Mom!"

"Bye, Mrs. Midoriya!"

Inko smiled and waved at April and Izuku from the front door as they went to school.

"Bye! Be safe and have fun during your internship!" She called after them like any proud mom. "Oh, and April, see you when you get back, alright? I'll make you a wonderful meal when you return."

April couldn't stop the grateful smile from appearing, stopped, turned, and waved back to Inko.

"Really!? Thanks!"

Inko nodded and remained at the door until she could no longer see the two. She was proud of them both starting their internships with respectable heroes. The two would do well, but the Midoriya household would be a bit quieter than usual now. It would only be for a few days. Still, Inko couldn't deny the tinge of sadness in her at the thought. She wished April would have chosen a closer internship, but she understood why. The girl's quirk was unique, a dual type. Reading minds and moving objects with her mind was helpful around the house, especially in setting and cleaning the tables.

Inko went inside and shut the door. The silence hit her, and though her son would be back, her eyes wistfully rested on the dining room table. There were only two place settings for now, she reminded herself. It was only for a few days, she reminded herself. Until then, she'd try again to reach Mr. O'Neil.

"So, who is this hero you're going with?" April asked Izuku as they boarded the train. "And how does All Might know them again?"

The train moved, and they both shared a pole.

"Well, they were a mentor of All Might and specifically requested me." Izuku answered, thinking about it, "I'm just glad I managed one."

April raised a perplexed eyebrow. "Honestly, I thought it would have been All Might, considering how close you two are. You practically have that mentor-student relationship going on."

Izuku flinched slightly with an uncomfortable laugh, "W-What makes you say that!?"

Some people looked at him, annoyed; April smirked with a scuff, "Geez, worked up much. I was only teasing." Izuku calmed down; she added, "Plus, he suddenly showed up outside our door and took you away. Next thing you have this internship. It's rather obvious. But hey," she shrugged casually, "your business is your business."

He blinked a few times, smiled grateful and relieved, "Thanks."

"Sure," she winked, "but where does this person live?" Her switched to a serious tone almost protective.

Izuku laughed a bit to himself, "Yamanashi Prefecture. That's where."

She had no idea what he was talking about, "Huh? Where's that? Did you forget where I'm from?"

"Oh, sorry. Yeah, I forgot," he sheepishly smiled and laughed. It's about a 45-minute train ride from UA."

"Okay, that's not the best information, but I'll go with it. Well, at least I might have an idea. You won't be close by me, but that's okay. I've got some idea of your location, though I highly doubt I'll be able to make it back if anything happens."

The train came to their stop, and they got off.

"I'll be fine, April. Don't worry." He assured her.

She raised her shoulders, "Oh, I'm not worried. I know you can handle yourself, Deku." She nudged him a bit.

He got it, and they laughed, "You excited about yours?"

"Yep! I think it should suit me. Though it's a bummer I won't be enjoying your mom's meals. It's just for a few days and who knows within that time my dad will get back with me."

Izuku gave her a sympathetic look, "Still nothing, huh?"

She shook her head solemnly a bit, "I hope he's okay. I know his work keeps him busy."

"I'm sure my mom hear back from him soon. Have you asked May?"

April's shoulders dropped a bit, "No. Not yet."

Izuku sensed something and opened his mouth to say something. April continued, "I hope she'll be good with her internship, whatever Mr. Aizawa picked." She sighed. " I hope she'll be alright."

"I'm sure she will be." Izuku smiled though was a bit worried himself about you, and sighed too.

They both sighed lengthy together.

UA was coming into view. April looked straight ahead and noticed a tall, dark blue-haired, glass-wearing person. Her eyes followed them into the grounds and narrowed, observing them with concern.

"April, you okay?" Izuku noticed her distraction.

She nodded, never breaking her attention. "Something's wrong," she whispered worrisomely.

Izuku missed that, "Did you say something?"

Her head snapped to him, and she quickly put on her friendly smirk, "Yep! I'm just thinking about today."

They enter the grounds, "I wonder if May made it alright?" She asked as they walked past Pony and Kirishima, waiting at the front.

"Izuku-chan!" You pounce with your arms open and wrap them around him, forgetting to hold your briefcase. "Izuku-chan!"

You squeeze and press your cheek, "Let us ride together! I am sure our destination is the same! Then, we shall partake in the tasteful delicacy of sharing and eating ramen together! Oh, and have a glorious tea under fallen Sakura blossoms!"

Izuku and others in 1-A, as well as some onlookers in the train station, stared with disbelief or laughed. Leo facepalmed, embarrassed; Mikey threw his head back with a loud laugh. Raph rolled his eyes, and Donnie shook his head.

"Umm…May," Izuku called tentatively to you, rubbing the back of his neck, "Umm, May, that's not me."

You opened your eyes and found Izuku standing with April, Ochoa, and Iida. In your hold was…that boy with white and red hair and a scar on his face. Instantly, you let him go and jumped back. Shoto dusted himself with a small grunt and walked away.

You try again. "Enough!" Aizawa commands. You freeze and straighten up. His eyes whip at you, and you throw yourself behind Mashirao and Kirishima. "Keep it up, and you'll be tied up all the way to your internship. Got it!"

It wasn't a warning; you could tell and go pale. Heave him one and quietly apologized, waiting for your response. You g.

Aizawa kept his eyes on you for a few more seconds and continued what he was saying after arriving with the whole class at the train station. Everyone had their customs to wear during their internships, which could only be worn during the internship. Leo listened attentively. Raph barely paid attention. Mikey was showing Kaminari something on his phone. Donnie kept quiet and moved to the back. April kept stealing glances at Iida. He kept his eyes forward, but she noticed it wasn't at their teacher. It was on the train. She saw a dark eagerness in his eyes by the way his brows hardened.

A knot of concern tightened in April; she felt her hand lift and wanted to reach out to Iida.

"Sister is everything alright," your worried tone brings her back.

April turns and finds you there, looking at her with the largest eyes on her, searching her own. There was no smile; you had a relaxed expression with a slight frown.

"Oh just thinking that's all," April gave you a pat on the head and smiled, "nothing to worry about." She looked past you at Iida, seeing him talk briefly with Izuku and Ochaco with a plastered smile, then leave them.

You didn't believe April, "Are you certain?"

She didn't even look at you, "Yeah. Okay, see you." She patted your shoulder and hurried away.

You tried calling after her; you had something else you wanted to say. But she was gone. Your heart dropped, and you reached up a hand to touch the empty spot on your hair where your lost flower hair clip used to be.

Someone came up from behind on your side and tapped you lightly on the shoulder, "May."

You turn around. It was Kirishima. He was smiling at you and thumbing over his shoulder, "Want to ride together? Where's your internship?"

There was a level of hope in his tone. You didn't notice the light dust of red on his cheeks. But someone did, and they smiled mischievously with interest, reminding themselves to return to this. It was just cute!

You considered his question, but your thoughts were on April. You looked back the way she had gone; she had already boarded the train. Your heart sinks. Kirishima noticed the change.

"Hey, you okay?" He asked softly with his eyes filled with concern.

You turned and lifted your eyes to him, a look that momentarily made the world halt. The way you looked at him, that sparkle seemed to fade, almost like a wilting flower losing its color. A seriousness hardened over Kirishima. He reached out a hand to rest on your shoulder and assured you everything was fine.

When you suddenly smiled, and your color came back, he dropped his hand quickly and tried to play it off with a nervous laugh.

"I am alright, Red Riot. Thank you!" Your sweet, airy tone returned.

His heart sighed, relieved. He smiled back, "That's good. So," his voice lowered with a fidgety tone, his eyes shifting here and there as he scratched his reddening cheeks with a finger, "So, umm, do you want to….ride together to our internships?"

You tilt your head a bit, trying to hear him, and giggleut you only hear Barry, catching what he said, b a few.

You get ready to respond when Aizawa's shadow looms over you. You froze and could feel his pulsating anger.

"I've been calling you for ten minutes to get on your train!" he growled. You gulped and slowly cracked yourself around to face him. "Well?"

You hold up your briefcase to hide your face and whimpers, "Sorry…sorry sensei. I shall get on my train."

Aizawa's brow twitched. You jumped back, accidentally hitting your back against Kirishima's. His face had changed to the color of his hair.

"You missed the train!" Aizawa said, either in anger or rage. You couldn't tell except that you were shrinking and hadn't removed yourself from Kirishima.

You missed your train!? You panicked a bit and peered about the train station; most of the class was gone. A few were waiting; Donnie was still present, but his brothers were gone. What could you say….what could you do? You try to think of something.

But nothing came. Kirishima made a suggestion after collecting what he could of himself.

"Uh, sir, I could take May."

Aizawa snapped his thunderous eyes at him; Kirishima slowly held up his hands and trod carefully.

"I don't mind seeing I'm left too. Where's her internship? Maybe it's close to mine or might be at the same location." He hoped.

For his hopes to be crushed, "No. You need to go." Aizawa thumbed over his shoulder in a calmer tone, "Thank you. But I have that covered." He began unraveling his scarf. You quivered.

Disappointed, Kirishima wanted to say something but realized it wouldn't work. With a solemn nod, he bid you bye and hurried to his train.

"Now, then," Aizawa returns his attention to you, that anger returning. It's time to get you to your internship. So listen closely," he takes an authoritative step toward you. You slowly lift your eyes to him. I'm only going to say this once."

The train doors shut, and you were inside—but not alone. The train jerked and departed, Aizawa's eyes locked on with a warning outside on the platform. You took a step back and quickly sat next to the other person. This was part of Aizawa's instructions, and you wished it wasn't.

"If you don't take the next seat over, Floor Face, I'll blow you out the train!" Bakugo combusted, shooting off small explosions from his hands.

You flinched a bit and kept your laughter in but got up and quickly moved two seats over, not three seats over. Bakugo watched you sharply the time, and when he grunted, you moved over one more. He turned away with a heated humph.
