A/N: Take the Girl will be updated tomorrow. Bloody work, messing with my schedule
Had to go in early again today, but thankfully Advent was able to whip this up beforehand.
This chapter, like the last two, is written a bit differently from my usual format, and I apologize for any confusion. Hope you enjoy it.
My co-writer, Adventreader221 wrote 95% of this chapter, as I'm in no shape to do it with everything going on, he's a godsend as always and the reason this story is still going strong. I'm still in mourning from losing my Aunt, and working more and more hours due to my sister's surgery -she's home now, but in a lot of pain- if not for him, this chapter would've taken forever.
Sister is being held by the hospital after surgery. They won't let me see her for some reason; I've been getting the runaround all day. Excuses, excuses...
I'll be heading over there after work and woe to them if they try to stop me. They say she'll be out for about two months, which means my hours are going to double, if not triple while I struggle to pay rent. But enough about little 'ol me. Despite my injuries, despite RWBY being liquidated by Warner Bros and despite Long Covid, I'm still here. So let's get things started.
Once again, a heartfelt thanks to everyone out there for their heartfelt support in these trying times. As ever, we own no references, themes or memes and certainly no quotes. They're tributes made for the sake of entertainment, nothing more.
So here we go. The fate of this story depends on you, the reader. Your feedback determines the fate of this tale, and many others.
I'm just a humble author trying to make his way in this wild world, one word at a time.
Time and feedback will determine if this remains a story. Simple as that.
In other words...its up to YOU, the reader. Do let me know~!
And here we finally see Naruto acting a little like his old self...
...because our boy wants a good fight~!
"You are lucky Saber is not the one fighting you, it would have been over quite fast."
"Aren't you an arrogant one."
"It is not arrogance if it is true. She is the only person to this day that has ever bested me in combat."
~A talk.
Test Your Might
William and Pyrrha Stood in the middle of the arena, their eyes locked as the crowd around them howled for some action.
Pyrrha turned her body, briefly drawing an arm to her hip as she held her free hands palm upwards while she held her spear horizontally. She then quickly spun the spar of steel once-twice-thrice and leapt into the fight. Spinning around, she drew the spear up over her head before swiping down, William dropping to his knees and spinning around to evade the strive before raising himself back up and blocking her spear using both blades-a rain of sparks filling the air from the force of their blows connecting with one another-the crowd cheering wildly as the fight began in earnest.
Swiping back up, Pyrrha hummed in awe at how fluidly her opponent blocked her strike, even as she tried to bring it back down on his neck he was undeterred and hyper-focused on her movements. His red eyes showed no compassion, no remorse, only the thrill of the fight as he fought her.
William leaned back as Pyrrha spun around, her spear singing in the wind as she drew her arms back over her right shoulder to finish him off. William-having had enough of the defensive game-swiped out with a sword, forcing Pyrrha to pull back or she'd have lost her head. With a growl, he swiped at her, only for her spear to put itself in the path of the swing.
However, that was just the distraction as he went to swing up at an angle, only for Pyrrha to step back once again and block the strike as a clash of metal filled the air-sparks burning bright with each strike they made at one another, the force of their blows enough to rip the world apart. Naruto spun as he swiped from overhead again, Pyrrha leaning down as she spun away, her spear being thrust out at her adversary-no, her rival's head as he swiped her spear away with a sword. As she pulled away, William leapt up and performed a spinning kick that would have knocked any others head clean off, but Pyrrha gasped as she rolled back and away. The edge of the ring was too close for comfort.
With a growl, both fighters struck from high, steel once more ringing in conjunction with each hit taken from the others weapon. William swiped from down low, but once more Pyrrha blocked him with her spear, their eyes locking for the briefest of moments as they let their weapons do the talking for them. He was demanding for her to fight him serious, she herself was hoping to get more effort out of him. They were equally matched her and he... no, he was stronger, he just didn't know how he could exert himself fully without having to rely on all his treasures hidden away. This was what she had been missing, the challenge, the relish of possibly losing in a fight she knew she had no chance in winning.
William broke the lock they had and spun away as Pyrrha thrust her spear at him once more, but the tip was deflected when William swung from behind his back to intercept. What he wasn't expecting though, was that when he turned back to face her, she was in the process of spinning herself where she smashed her elbow into his nose-bursting the cartilage and a spew of blood to fly out into the air.
With a spin, a swipe and a kick; William was divested of one of his swords. The sword spun rapidly through the air before it flew up into the stands where it stabbed itself into the staircase next to his family, cries of shock filling the air as the sword embedded itself into the stands above.
And yet, William was not even slightly deterred from the fight. He found himself relishing the challenge and decided to see what she could do against him when he only had one of his weapons. Leaning back from a spear thrust, Naruto began to pull away as Pyrrha bounced up to give herself some height while she wrathfully brought her spear down upon him, the clash of metal ringing again and again with each blow she sought to land on him but failed to do so. Down-down-up, she tried to break through his guard, but to no avail, his offense and defense were simply just as good as her own no matter what technique she tried to pull on her opponent.
And then William grinned as he blocked her spinning combo aimed at his sides before he leaned forward and performed a roundhouse kick to her face causing her to stumble back. With a pulse of magnetic force, he called out to the other sword he had lost, holding his hand out to catch it in his palm while Pyrrha recovered from the blow, holding her jaw as she rubbed it. It was a bit more painful than she had thought it was going to be.
William grinned at her as he held the recovered blade in his hand, "You are lucky it isn't Saber who fought against you, it would have been over quite fast. The way you're fighting, she'd have chewed you up alive."
Pyrrha lowered her hand, "You sure are an arrogant one, aren't you?" she questioned him.
He winked at her. "Nope, its not arrogance if it is the truth. She's the only person to this day to have bested me in combat."
As they circled one another, their eyes told them that the other was still sizing them up. As they came to a stop, Pyrrha grasped her spear in both hands and whirled it around her body as William resettled into his stance. And with that, they were back at one another's throats. William swung down, but Pyrrha saw the feint for what it was and blocked the sword coming up at her from below with great speed and reflex, two more blows deflected as they tried to break through the other's guard. And although she was never going to admit this aloud to anyone in her life, her dropping the shield was the only thing keeping her in the fight at this very moment.
William Schnee was a walking calamity, her spear the only thing holding back the wrath within his destructive nature.
Pushing William back, she whirls the spear around and ducks under a swipe, before smashing the butt of her spear into his back causing him to stumble. Pyrrha, seeing a potential victory spins around and raises the spear up and stabs it down, barely missing him as he moves away as her spear ends up stabbing into the earth, and just in time too as William spins around and slams both his swords into the weapon. However, the sheer power behind his blows is enough to cut the weapon apart, barely missing Pyrrha as she falls back to avoid injury if not death itself. Rolling to her feet, she uses her shortened spear as if it were in blade form, forcing William to block her strike before swiping the other sword down to stop the other half.
As her entire weapon was composed of metal, her control over it was absolute, and now she was truly putting in the effort to try and overcome William who smiled at her, "Now this is a spar, I was hoping to see more of this power, show me all what you can do!" he cried out ecstatically. Pyrrha recalled the other half of her spear into her hand, now beginning a duel wielding fight that none had ever thought they would witness from her. Spinning the spear, the hidden blade at the butt end pulsed out and blocked a downward strike, William spun about and gave a swing, forcing Pyrrha to deflect using both halves of her own weapon to stop it.
A upwards blow was stopped with a cross-guard block and William ducked underneath her flowing movements and stopped her flanking blow with the back of a blade, sparks flying under the force of his power. Stepping back, Pyrrha panted a foot as she drew back her right arm and swung down with all her force that she could muster, William grinned eagerly as he used both his blades to stop the swing in its tracks, a ring of metal filling the air as he did so. Pushing her away, he then spins and blocks her left hand, his sword held upside down to protect his side. He then thrusts his free hand at Pyrrha, causing her to pull back so that she wouldn't be stabbed in the gut.
Pyrrha spins in a similar manner as her opponent had done just seconds before, but she brings her spear at him from a downward angle aimed at his flank, the strike is easily blocked when William merely turns his upper body and places the twin swords in the path of her swing, deterring her yet again from striking him down. She spins around, aiming to bisect him from top to bottom, but William takes a step back and brushes her swing to the side as he watches her fighting style changes itself to a new stance. Blocking yet another downward strike with both his swords, William watches closely as to how her feet position themselves.
How she shifts her body with each attack. How she moves her feet when she goes to defend against him. How her arms switch when she aims to strike from above or from below. Each movement is honed and perfected through her own regime, but not to the levels of those who came from the forgotten era of Shinobi. She would have made a damn fine ninja with her Taijutsu alone if her body language was saying anything; probably a Special Jonin or High Chunin, her would save judgement for everything else as he watched her throughout the remainder of their bout, but one thing was for certain-this young girl was a hardened fighter.
He blocks another strike, rotating his right hand twice to block to separate attacks as the crowd cries out when they see the sparks flying from the clash of blades. Then, the two fighters take a step back and swing both halves of their weapons, the clash between the four were resonating like never before as the ground cracks beneath their feet.
With a push, William-Naruto! broke the lock that they held between one another yet again, forcing Pyrrha back a few steps towards the edge of the ring. He could sense the crowd on the edge of their seats as they watched them brawl, two warriors give the fight what amounted to a wars effort and beyond.
And none realized that even as he fought, he'd suppressed every budding emotion he could to test the redhead and her skills.
Chakra-sealed. Aura-reduced to the bare minimum.
Semblance-under lock and key.
Senjutsu-blocked off.
There was nothing that Pyrrha could use against him that would be made to work in her favor. She was using her Semblance to try and take his swords from his grasp, but his physical grip was simply beyond the veil of her understanding. Swinging once again, the two teens immediately lost the holds they had on one their weapons apiece, the blade and spear flying in opposing directions as the strike rips them out of their grasps in a spray of golden sparks that shower the ground around them. Together, they stood stone still as they hear the crowd gasp while the two weapons stab or land on the ground at the opposing ends of the circle they stood within.
William sighed, this was getting annoying. He makes two practice swings off to his side, the action startling the crowd into silence. On the third, he brings his sword up and a wall of sand flies up from the force exerted. His energy has changed, the flow denser and sharper than before.
Pyrrha, noticing this, looked at him with an annoyed expression, "What is it now?" she asked in frustration, "First you seem excited to fight me and even push me to the point where I'm forced to go against you with everything I have, leaving me on the defensive end of this fight the entire time, and now you're getting annoyed. What is it?"
Ahhh, if only she knew...
"I've gotten a little soft lately. It's like my muscles had shrunk and I'd lost my edge." He swung his sword again, golden energy dancing along the length and causing ripples in the sand. Pyrrha's eye widen as she finally realizes the situation, and his grin grew to shit-eating proportions, "Thanks for that. It was a great warm up."
A WARM UP!? How the hell did that count as a warm up?! She was getting her ass handed to her out here!
He grinned, "Now let me return the favor, with this!"
Dashing forward, he swung low, striking with a vicious twist. Pyrrha was caught off guard and barely managed to parry the blow. Before she could thin to strike back, William once again slashed at her, drawing a line of blood from her cheek, the thin of crimson trickling down her cheek as she gazes upon him.
The crowd howled above her; worse, she couldn't blame them for it. Not this time. He was the first person in her life to physically hurt her in a match.
Something kicked in her chest. Why, it almost felt like joy-
"PAY ATTENTION!"
Still shocked by the fact she had been caught off guard, much less injured, she was careless. With a roundhouse that knocked her off her feet, she lost her grip on the spear and rolled away. Now right on the edge of the combative circle, she popped her jaw. She needed to focus, she couldn't keep letting her guard down the way things were going.
A loud and overzealous laugh from overhead drew her attention, causing her eyes to widen as she watched William race towards the ground, his foot extended out towards her as he went to drop his foot down on her head. Rolling out of the way, she barely escaped the serious injury of William's drop kick as she got back to her feet.
Looking left and right she tried to find where her spear had gone only to lay her eyes on the golden blade she had managed to take away from William, holding out her hand, she called it to her and grabbed it before rolling away from William as he stabbed the ground where she once stood, "Now this is getting fun, stop holding yourself back! Give me a real now!" he demanded from her.
Oof, she might not be able to with the way he handled a sword fight. She was more of a spear user, never having to use the blade in a actual fight unless absolutely necessary. She had the skills for a fight sure, but for extended sword fights, not so much.
Regardless, she hardened her resolve, "As you wish then." she responded with a smirk after which both she and William gripped their blades and fell into their own individual Sword stances.
Within moments of doing so, the two immediately raced forward at top speed until their swords clashed with one another. After his sword made contact with Pyrrha's, William brought his sword back and then spun around to Pyrrha's unguarded left side. William then attempted an horizontal slash, which Pyrrha narrowly avoided by spinning around to William's left and made the same attempt on his unguarded side.
Catching a glimpse of what Pyrrha was doing from the corner of his eye William quickly jumped to his right side., narrowly escaping the slash and putting some distance between the two, although he received a slight cut of his shoulder. Upon evading Pyrrha's slash, William immediately spun around to face the redhead girl, where he then moved forward to re-engage her. For the next two few minutes the two fought in a fierce battle of steel, with each moving with impressive speed.
To the civilian members of the audience, the two teens were blurs, moving from one end of the field to the next, appearing only for a second to clash swords before disappearing in a blur again. The members of the audience who were Huntsman on the other hand were able to keep up and follow with their movements, where many of them were impressed with the two competitors speed and movements.
As the fight progressed, William jumped back to avoid another one of Pyrrha's downward sword slashes. After which he then moved forward and tried to use a feint that would catch the redhead off-guard. But Pyrrha was prepared for this, as she had watched William's fights in the previous fights closely and saw him switch his sword from his right hand to his left in mid-swing.
Ignoring William's faint swing, Pyrrha jumped back at the last possible second to avoid the real swing by jumping backwards.
After avoiding William's attack, Pyrrha then moved forward to take advantage of an opening that now appeared after William missed her. But just as she swung her sword down on William, the Schnee heir leaned backwards to avoid the slash and then used the same feint to pass his sword from his left hand to his right behind his back in an attempt to surprise the girl.
But just as he swung his sword, Pyrrha brought her sword up to block his slash, where she then pushed William back. Who then disappeared in a blur, preventing Pyrrha from striking back at him. William then reappeared behind the redhead and tried to slash her from behind, only for him to cut through air when Pyrrha rolled away from the strike. This continued for several times where the two teens would move around the arena at high speed trying to avoid the other's attack, while trying to slash at the other at the same time. As the fight progressed some of the audience began to see sparks erupting from the two sword when they clashed with each other.
At one point, William was narrowly able to avoid a deadly slash by jumping into the air and over Pyrrha in the process. But what William didn't know was that this was what Pyrrha wanted, as he was now open to attack, she then used a reverse beheading slice maneuver to slash at him. She of course did not have the luxury of cutting William as she caught a glimpse of reflective light from the blade of a sword out of the corner of her left eye, where she immediately spun around and narrowly blocked a deadly sword strike from William. Who then forced Pyrrha on the defensive with a series of rapid attacks, forcing her back.
Seeing this William ducked under the swipe and attempted to cut Pyrrha legs from under her with his sword. But before he could finish his swing Pyrrha preformed a backwards flip to avoid the sword swipe and at the same time kick William underneath his chin, causing the Schnee to fall backwards.
Recovering quickly both teens raced towards one another at top speed and engaged each other in a fierce fury of steel. As they fought, Pyrrha was able to knock William's sword out of his hand. But for her trouble she left an opening that William exploited, allowing him to hit her with a strong punch in the stomach, causing her to skid several feet back across the ground and double over slightly in pain from the punch. Wasting no time, William then charged up his right fist with Chakra and moved in to deliver the final blow. But just as William was about to hit the Invincible Girl, Pyrrha jumped into the air and performed a perfect mid-air flip over William, avoiding the punch and at the same time kicking the Schnee heir in the back of the head, causing him to fall forward where he grabbed the sword he had dropped moments before on the ground.
The two fought furiously trying to push the other back. But neither one gave much ground, proving that they were evenly matched with one another.
As the fight dragged on, William ducked under one of Pyrrha's slashes and made a swipe at her legs with his sword in an attempt to cut one of her legs. But missed when she jumped backwards, forcing William to pursue after her where he made another slash at her. Seeing the slash Pyrrha quickly brought her sword up and blocked William's attack and pushed the young Schnee back. Thus allowing her to go on the offensive, where she made a stabbing motion at William with her blade. Only to have it be deflected by the Schnee, who then made another slash at the female red haired spear user forcing her move back and allowing William to go on the offensive again.
This went on for several minutes going back and forth between the two, where each time one would have the advantage. The other would do something that would put the fight back in their favor. Eventually the fight turned in William's favor again where he saw an opening and delivered a sharp knee kick to her side. Catching the redheaded girl off guard and damaging one of her ribs, forcing her to move back. Not wanting to let the initiative go, William tried to stab Pyrrha in the arm with a one handed sword thrust, but missed as the female side-stepped the stab. He then tried a side slash, but she evaded that as well by jumping to the left side near the edge of the wall.
Seeing that Pyrrha had run out space to move, William turned and attempted a downward slash on Pyrrha's head. But before his attack could hit, Pyrrha brought her sword up and blocked his slash, where she then took a step forward and pushed him back, breaking his stance, leaving him open to attack.
But just as Pyrrha moved in to deliver the final blow, William used the time he was offered to switch his sword from his right hand to his left once more, catching the redhead off-guard where she tried to move out of the way of the blade; only to find herself slashed on her right arm. Startled, she stumbled away from William.
"Blast! That was too close…" Pyrrha thought as she held her bleeding arm, "…if I had been any slower, I might have lost my arm."
Before she could ponder any longer on her injury William moved forward and swung his sword at her, hoping to end the match while she was injured and distracted. Against anyone else, he might've succeeded. But she wasn't called the Invincible Girl for nothing; she leaped up into the air and flipped over her opponent to land behind him.
Pain!
She cried out at the sudden strike she felt to her back, forcing her to her knees as she placed her hand to the ground and rolled out of striking distance. He'd caught her off guard with that sudden strike to her spine, but he wouldn't be able to do so again-she swore on that...
.
..
...for all the good it did her. He closed with her in an instant and the world dissolved into a slurry of sparks and steel.
Riposte!
She gasped in pain as the shock rattled her body.
Parry!
Something creaked in her shoulder.
Defend!
Bones bent.
Counter!
Aura was agony, she felt every bit of pain as his blade grated against her ribs; without it, he would've broken them outright, as it were she felt three of them crack on impact.
Block! Muscles manged.
Attack!
She had to fight back; she'd never
Climbing back to her feet, she turned to see that William had turned to face her and had resettled into his original stance from the start of the fight-just only one sword shorter than before.
William grinned, "How amusing, for someone such as yourself to match me blow for blow when I am hardly fighting serious...very well then, I shall grant you the privilege of my blades full power." he told her as he grasped the hilt in both hands, "Awaken, Sword of End; Enki!" he commanded as a pillar of dazzling blue light erupted and filled the air, the arena shaking from its presence alone as the blade was filled with unfathomable powers. The heavens shook as the earth split itself apart from the power being unleashed by the sword. Chakra filled the void of power between them as Enki devoured everything he offered unto it, empowering the sword by a dozen times more.
Pyrrha grinned in eager excitement, "I see you actually are serious for a change. And if that is the case, then I too shall give you a taste of your own medicine."
Having taken the twin sword's other half away from the silver haired teen, she could feel the innate power it possessed, and as such, she twisted the handle on the golden blade, a glimmer of blazing red energy sparked before exploding off and streaking through the heavens. Rocks and dust shifted and rose into the air as they gazed upon one another from their positions,
"Get ready to lose Schnee!" the redhead said boldly.
"Come at me, Lancer!" he declared with a smirk of challenge,
His blade swung down in challenge, one she mirrored with a triumphant shout of he rown and from it, a pillar of twisting crimson and azure roared up into the sky as the explosion enveloped the both of them in a shimmering dome of raw power...

"Give me some forceps. I might be able to catch it in his colon."
"Huh..." Qrow felt his heart drop... why was he filled with dread?
"How're you going in?" Tai asked him.
"Rectally." the doctor said.
Qrow gasped in utter terror, "No~!" he cried out in a squeak of horror, his head shaking madly back in forth in plea for them not to do it.
"I'll get the lubricant." Glynda said turning to grab the bottle.
"There's no time for lubricant." the doctor told her.
Qrow felt his eyes nearly pop out his skull, "THERE'S ALWAYS TIME FOR LUBRICANT!" he called out in panic.
"So we meet again! I admit, I had my doubts."
"Ha! Of course you would. Not me. I never doubted for a moment."
"What the heck was that!?" Yang exclaims in shock.
"What the hell do you mean, what was that? That tower fell over and almost killed me! If that thing had come any closer, it would've broken my ass!" Nora exclaimed.
"Speak, English..." Ruby sighed.
"Retreat?" Adam looked to William with a grin as the Schnee heir looked back at his only friend before they turned back to Qrow, "Hell, we just got here?"
"Get off my grandmama's carpet! She don't like nobody on the carpet! Especially police!"
"Huh. Nobody died."
"I could shoot someone if it would make you feel better." Nora offered.
Ruby felt herself cringe, "Nah, I'm good."
"How can you fight your own people?"
Adam scoffed, "Anyone who fights us is either stupid or on someone else's payroll. Killing the latter is business. Killing the former is a favor." he responded.
"Do you want us to arrest you, Lord William?" the cop questioned him.
William smirked, "I want you to try."
Clenching his fists, William began to gather his energy, "I won't lose, I REFUSE TO LOSE!" snarled the Schnee heir as he used his Chakra to enhance his strength. To the shock and amazement of nearly everyone in the stands, cracks started to appear on the wall around him and continued to spread, until suddenly William broke free and massive explosion erupted, where a five meter long section of the arena wall came tumbling down.
"All I am surrounded by is fear... and dead men..."
"Is the future of our race not worth a single human life?"
"You'll never stop at one..." he spat out a glob of blood, "I'll take you all on!"
"Mistress, I failed you on my mission. The Relic is destroyed and without it, our plan will fail." the Scorpion Faunus knelt to the Witch.
Salem gives a dark chuckle that sounded like a seductive melody, "Oh, you much have much to learn, my disciple. The Staff was merely a vessel. It's power, it's knowledge, can never be destroyed. It can only transform." she informed him.
Tyrian looked at her with shocked eyes, "How is that possible?" he asked her.
Salem smirked darkly, "The energy that made up its physical form has been absorbed by the Schnee child. The key to saving our plans now lies within his body." she explains to her demented servant.
Tyrian gleams in excitement, ready to fulfill Salem's darkest desires, "Well, then, let me strip the very flesh from his body!" he pleas to her.
Salem looks at the sociopath with a calm visage, "And you will, my pet, in time." she tells him, "For ten millennia, I have dreamed of my return to my mortal form where I, Priestess of the Land of Demons, was once betrayed by the man I called my brother, my twin... My beloved husband. Only a Uzumaki can defeat me... and now, only one remains in the form of my dear husband." she gleams eagerly.
Oh~ if only she knew...
Tyrian glowers, the boy had embarrassed him to many times now, "Ozpin... he protects the boy, and that's not mentioning his own abilities." he growls out.
Salem nods, "Then he will lead us too the boy, and success will be ours." she states.
Tyrian turns almost ecstatic with glee, "Yeesss..." he trills happily.
Hercules bows his head, "The boy will not escape us! We will succeed in capturing him!" he swears.
"Fail me, and you know the price." she states darkly, the two men shuddering in terror.
"I need a credit card! Adam, where's your wallet?
"Pocket!"
Weiss balks when she crawls behind him and looks, "Which pocket?!" she demands
"MY BACK POCKET!" the Faunus exclaims as he shoots a set of twin pistols, rapidly eating the ammo within the clips before reloading.
Weiss almost started to cry, "You got like ten back pockets!" she exclaims.
Dropping the emptied pistols, Adam then hurls a dark orb that explodes violently against a tower of containers, the ground shaking, "LEFT CHEEK! LEFT CHEEK! LEFT CHEEK!" he tells her repeatedly as he pulls off the rifle on his right backside and begins firing the explosive rounds.
"I hope those fighters have good aim." Adam said as he popped his shoulder back in socket.
"Oh yea, why is that?" William asked him.
"I told them to hit the orange smoke." Adam tells him.
William sighs, his body slumping down in exasperation, and then he turns to the billowing cloud of colored smoke, "You mean that orange smoke?" he asked as he turned back to the redhead.
Adam felt his cheeks turn red, "Look it wasn't my best toss, okay." he admitted.
The two share a look before they jump to their feet, "RUN!" William shouts as he and Adam rush out from behind the containers.
Raising the pistol he pointed it at her head and ducked down as the sounds of gunshot went off down the hall

'Time to die,' Ren thought to himself as he once more brought the pistol up. But before he could level it at Nora, the ceiling suddenly melted away.
He saw it distinctively, a circle in the ceiling turning to a column of dust, cascading in a shower of disintegrated dirt, steel and other commodities. Like sand from an hourglass, the particles hit the floor and billowed out in a thick cloud.
As the haze cleared, Ren saw a figure standing in the corridor. He wore a black coat with red flames, black boots, black shirt, and a pair of goggles over his eyes. On his hands were a pair of glowing tensors, so much energy coursing through them they glowed an eerie green.
William had finally arrived.
The officers opened fire, a storm of bullets racing down the hallway. William snarled as he thrust his hand forward, and Ren could have swore the very air itself hummed in approval.
Bullets burst apart midair, crumbling to dust. They hit the blonde as little shavings of steel and were no more dangerous than pinches of dirt. Hundreds of them pelted his skin and the ground around him, the ones that missed flew apart in the air and caught the light.
Suddenly, Ren understood why he wore the goggles.
He stood up slack jawed, gun forgotten in fingers, he had assumed he was good with the tensors, but to see William destroying bullets mid flight…
It was beyond comprehension of a mortal brain.
William didn't give the baffled soldiers time to recover as he leapt free of the dust. He carried no weapon that could be seen, but he didn't need one now did he. The Paladin units started firing, but they used their rotary guns, hoping the larger caliber would slow him.
More bullets popped in the air, shattered by William's tensors. His feet skidded across the ground on the dust as he reached the troops.
He attacked with only his fists.
Ren felt his eyes widen more as he watched William drop a soldier with a fist to the face, the helmet melting to powder before his attack. He was vaporizing the armor as he attacked. Spinning around, William spun between two soldiers with the grace of a ballerina, slamming a fist into their guts as he destroyed the armor plates before he spun low and destroyed a leg.
Dust sprayed out as their armor failed them, disintegrating just before he physically hit them.
As he came up from the spin, he pounded a hand against the side of the steel wall of the chamber, a wall that was easily three feet thick. The pulverized meral gave way, and something long and thin fell from the wall to his hand, a katana made of pure steel, carved from a incredibly precise blast of a tensor.
Steel flashed as William struck at the disoriented officers. Some tried to fight back, but their valiance was nothing compared to the skill William wielded with both sword and tensor. Each bullet they fired was turned to dust, their secondary weapons vanished as their arsenal was disintegrated. He wielded the sword in one hand, tensor in the other releasing nigh invisible blasts of power. Dust streamed off soldiers who got to close and they slipped and stumbled.
Blood flew in front of high powered flashlights, and men collapsed. It had only been mere moments since William had appeared, but he had already dropped half of the enemy before him with the power of a god.
The armored units finally drew on their shoulder mounted Dust cannons, but it was too late as William closed the distance. He slid to a stop, still on a knee, and the armored unit collapsed with a resounding thud as he leaped forward and drove a hand through the second armored unit's leg. He pulled his hand out and the leg bent, then snapped, collapsing behind him sideways. It fired a yellow-blue blast into the ground as it fell, melting the floor.
One foolhardy member of the group tried to charge William, who stood over the fallen units, and the teen merely rolled his eyes. He didn't bother with the sword anymore as he performed a powerful roundhouse that laid the man out in a single second, his neck snapping from the assault.
As the soldier dropped William spoke with a deep voice, a tone that made even Ren shiver in slight fear, "My name, is William Schnee, and your boss just fucked up." he told them, "Tell him that i am more than aggravated that he has done this far just to procure my attention." he stated deeply, angrily, as he gazed upon the shocked Faunus, "Know that it won't happen again, cuz now, he has it, and he won't be too happy now that he has it." He growled as he strode past the remaining units who were stunned just as much as Ren was at the shocking display.
Ren looked at William in shock and awe and could only mumble, "That was amazing." when he stopped next to him.
"Grab the girl." he told Ren.
"How did you-" he went to ask, but a look from William silenced him.
"Grab. The. Girl." he said sternly before he walked past Ren down the corridor before his voice carried down the corridor, "This land in which you stand is now under my control. You have one hour to get out, or die!" the Schnee yelled out.
"Ok, here are the ground rules." she said smiling, "You can punch me, kick me, pull my hair." she told William as she began counting fingers, "I am a-ok with being stabbed." she smirked, "Biting, scratching are on the table." she told the now shell shocked Schnee heir, "You can use fire." she stated as his jaw dropped to the floor.
"These are the ground rules?" he questioned in shock, "is there anything off limits?" he questioned her moral sanity.
She quirked a brow as she leaned back, "Damn man, you got something really sick you wanna do, huh? You little pervert." she grinned at him, William wanted to take a step back, "Alright, I like it." she grinned as she bobbed her head excitedly, "Don't tell me, surprise me." she said as her eyes lit up, "Ooh this is gonna be fun!" she called out happily.
Oh... fuck...
