Reasons To Fall
Chapter 2
Later on that day
Brooke gazed at herself in the mirror. She looked reserved and proper. A simple green dress. Black heels. Make up on her face.
She needed to push that night out of her head.
She was engaged. She had accepted his proposal.
This was her life now. She took a deep breath as she left the bedroom. Got in her car and drove over to the location.
She smiled for cameras before going into the building.
"I was just going to call and text you." Victoria said.
"The Davis's. We would love a picture." A photographer requested.
"Of Course." Ted said.
Victoria pulled Brooke into the shot that was being taken.
"Where's Julian?" Ted asked. As the three sat down at the booth in the front.
"Business trip. He'll be back in a few days." Brooke replied.
"When are the two of you going to get married?"
"I would like a grandchild soon." Victoria questioned.
"We haven't even started planning. He's always off on location shoots and stuff like that. I have plenty to do at the store." Brooke explained.
...
"Do you even want children anymore?" Peyton asked.
Lucas sighed deeply. The two had been going back and forth for hours on this subject.
And Lucas couldn't do it anymore.
"No I don't. I don't believe i'm meant to be a father. Especially to a biological child of my own." Lucas confessed.

Weeks Later
Brooke awoke slowly. Julian asleep beside her.
She raced into the bathroom. Turned on the water and threw up.
She had welcomed him home. And they had spent hours getting re acquainted.
She had what her parents had wanted and dreamed for her.
Julian grew up in LA and always planned to move back there.
That was what they were planning once they got married.
Tree Hill was nothing more then another location movie set to Julian.
For Brooke it was home and leaving it all behind felt impossible.
She cared for Julian. But love that didn't just happen.
There were parts of her that Julian didn't know about.
The last time she had given her heart to anyone she was a teenager. That was years into the past.
The real Brooke Davis was a stranger to Julian.
