Chapter 4: Unknown Beings from Another World

13 Years Later:

One day at a large open field, the Cirque De Eccentrical is in town and are setting everything up for the show tonight. Everyone from the circus, from performers to other employees are setting everything up. They have their cars with platforms attached, and decorated with balloons, streamers, and props for their acts. The animals are wearing accessories like ribbons and feathers, along with decorated collars with bells.

In one of the tents, many of the circus performers who are dressed in their circus outfits, are prepping the last touches such as makeup, accessories, and other last minute touches. Among those is Blitz, who is now thirty years old. He is wearing black pants and a short sleeve shirt, and black shoes for his feet. Blitz then places black sleeveless gloves on his hands. His fingers are red, but the rest of hands to his wrists are now white picks up his choker and places it around his neck.

"There we go," Blitz says to himself.

He looks at the mirror to see himself, and he has a large white blotch around his right eye.

Blitz may look rather different, but he's still Blitz and everyone still cares for him just the same.

"Hey Blitz," A voice says.

Blitz turns to see Andy who has gotten older and is now in his thirties. He is still the same, but his body is a little muscular, he is also wearing red and white color leotards, and black shoes for acrobatics.

"Hey Andy, I see you're all set," Blitz says.

"Sure am. Are you ready?" Andy asks.

"Yes. I'm ready," Blitz says.

"Glad to hear," Andy says.

Just then, everyone hears Tim's voice, "Alright everyone, time to get a move on. It's almost time for our first performance for the night."

Everyone turns to see Tim who is wearing a magician's outfit with a top hat. And his dirty blonde hair has gotten a little longer than it he ties it into a short ponytail.

"If we're all ready, it's time to get to our positions. Those who are riding the animals and performing on the rolling platforms at the trucks make sure to get your acts set," Tim says.

Everyone agrees and makes sure to have everything ready. Everyone begins to leave the tent to get ready for the show.

Tim turns to Blitz and Andy, "So how are you both doing?"

"We're doing great. We're ready when you are," Andy says.

"Yeah. Can't wait to perform another show," Blitz says.

"Good to hear," Tim says.

Suddenly, they hear a, "Meow."

the group turns to see a small Calico cat. It's a small tricolor kitten, almost a year old. It's has a white base accompanied by black and brown spot, and large amber color eyes. The little kitten has a red collar with a small yellow bell attached, along with a heart shaped name tag.

"Oh, hi Mimmy," Blitz says.

The little kitten, Mimmy meows, "Meow. then nuzzles her side against Blitz's leg.

Andy chuckles, "I think you little kitty wants you."

Blitz then picks up Mimmy and places her on his lap. Then begins to scratch under her chin, causing her to purr.

"She's probably hungry," Blitz says.

"Well it's best you give her something to eat before the parade start. Once you're done, we'll get going. Dad, mom, and Candy are waiting," Tim says.

"Sure," Andy says.

"You guys start heading over. i'll be there after feeding Mimmy," Blitz says.

"Sure," We'll see you later. Make sure you're not late," Andy says.

Blitz nods his head in reply. With that, the the boys and many of the performers leave the tent and get ready for the show to start. In the train car, Blitz gives Mimmy some kitty kibble and some milk safe for little kittens.

"There you go. You're doing good, Mimmy?" Blitz asks.

Mimmy happily mews, "Meow!"

Blitz gently pets Mimmy and says, "I'll come by after the show. Sounds good."

"Meow," Mimmy replies with a smile.

"Alright. I'll see you later," Blitz says and leaves the train car. He makes sure the windows and door are closed so Mimmy doesn't try to get out.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the middle of the town, there is loud noises in one of the warehouses. There are screams, gun shots, something splattering, and other kinds of noises. Just then, the door opens and a little bit of blood is seeping on the floor.

Coming out of the door is a small man that has white hair with black streaks brushed back and some sticks up on the back, pale white skin, and yellow eyes. He is wearing a navy-black coat with red buttons and white cuffs, black pants a white shirt that has a black turtleneck, a large red bow-tie, and fingerless gloves. He is also holding two revolver guns.

The man sighs and says, "That was a very struggling assignment."

"Don't worry sweetie, we managed to get the world done," A female voice answers.

Walking behind him is a young woman with tan skin around the man's height. She has dark gray short hair in a messy bob style with bangs, a beauty mark on her left cheek, and a gap between her front teeth. She is wearing black lipstick, a simple black choker, a cold-shoulder black crop top with gold buttons where the straps at the top meet the torso piece, torn black pants, fingerless black gloves, and black footwear. She also has a black heart shaped tattoo on her left shoulder.

Then the male asks, "Are you okay, Millie?"

"I'm okay Moxxie, don't worry. I've got a lot worse than this," The woman, Millie says.

Then turns her head, "Hey Drew, Berry, you can come out.

Just then, two figures walk out of the building.

The first one is a tall man named Drew. He has black hair that is fringe up, and bright red color irise in his eyes, and has light tan skin. He is wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes, and wears black sleeveless gloves.

The second one to come is a beautiful woman named Berry. She is about the same age as the man. She has pale skin, pink irise in her eyes, and long light blonde hair in a ponytail with bangs covering her right eye. She is wearing blue short jeans, a black crop top, and a gray bra strap showing on her shoulders, and black high heel boots.

Drew says, "I admit, that was a workout, but we got the show done."

"And that was our last job for the day. Let's call Loona and have her open the portal," Berry says.

Millie soon notices, "Hey guys, look over there."

Moxxie, Millie, Drew, and Berry walk over to see a poster on the wall. The poster has the word 'Cirque De Essential', with a picture of a circus tent, an elephant performing, trapeze performers, clowns, and a magician.

"A circus?" Drew says, interested.

"That looks so amazing!" Millie says, excited.

Then asks, "Can we go, Moxxie?"

"I don't know. We really should head back to the office since we're done with work for the day," Moxxie says.

"That's true, but it's the weekend and we don't work during the weekends," Berry says.

"She's right. And since that we're done with work, I'm sure we can squeeze in some fun," Drew says.

"Yeah Moxxie, it will be a good opportunity. And since Drew and Berry take the money from our target's wallets, we should definitely go," Millie happily says.

"Well…" Moxxie says, thinking about it.

He then answers, "I suppose we can go to the circus since we're done with work. We should call Sarge to let him know.

Millie squeals with glee, "Alright! We're going to a circus!"

Drew and Berry are also excited to go to the circus.

"According to the poster, the first show is tonight. Let's hurry and go get the tickets," Drew says.

"Alright, let's go!" Millie happily says.

Later in the night, people are already lighting up for the circus. They have arrived to either buy their tights for various shows, or are going in to see the first showing with pre-sell tickets. Inside the circus, everyone is already in their seats, waiting for the show as they see three smaller rings, around the center ring. Among those are Millie, Moxxie, Drew, and Berry. They have shacks like peanuts, popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks.

"I can't wait to see the circus. It's going to be so much," Millie says.

"And it looks like a full house, or tent per say," Berry says.

"I must admit, people must really like this circus, I wonder why they call it eccentrical," Moxxie replies.

Just then, the lights turn off in the circus tent.

Drew whispers, "I think it's starting."

Soon, the lights turn on to the spotlight to reveal Matt.

Matt announces, "Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls of all ages! Welcome to the Incredible, Unique, Freaky Cirque de Eccentircal, where us not quite so normal beings show you all of our performances and we're proud of that and our appearance. I'm Matt, Ringmaster. A pleasure to meet you.

Then announces, "Tonight, you'll all see performances that will stun and amaze you! And leave you breathless. Bring cheers to tonight's act!"

Soon, the performers run on the stage, while two others are on the trapeze bar.

Matt adds, "And now, to start off with our magnificent show, we will have The Great Tim, who will show you magical feats. So let's begin."

Tim then takes off his hat, waves his hand over it, and makes fireworks fly out, surprising and exciting everyone in the tent.

Swinging on the trapeze bar are Andy and Candy, and are both wearing their trapeze outfit. Candy is wearing a candy apple trapeze swimsuit, with light red frills around the waist and on the straps. She is also wearing tights, matching her skin color, and cotton candy pink slippers. Andy is wearing the clothes he has before.

Matt announces, "First up, we have two talented trapeze artists!"

The two performers continue to swim on the trapeze bars. Andy soon begins to hang upside down with his legs holding on to the bar. Candy then swings out and lets go of the bar. She performs a few loops before he takes Andy's hand.

Everyone claps in amazement.

Matt announces, "Andy and Candy!"

Next, there is Juma who is more muscular and is wearing a black tank top with blue pants, and wearing sneakers. He he is lifting a wooden platform that has a few tons of bricks on it,"

"One of the strongest among strongmen, and the most muscular man…" Matt announces.

Then Juma has the platform over his head.

"Juma!" Matt announces.

Everyone claps and cheers.

The next performers show Claude, wearing his is even more hairy on his body. He then howls and his dogs howl like they're singing.

"And our spectacular Dog man, and his canine comrades, Claude!" Matt announces.

Everyone cheers and some of the children are excited to see some dogs.

And now the next act, Dylan riding on a unicycle and riding on top of the elephant.

"And next is our unicyclist, who can ride over ten elephants in a row!" Matt announces.

Then the last elephant raises its trunk as Dylan rides it to the top.

Matt announces, "Dylan!"

Everyone begins to clap and cheer with excitement. Drew, Berry, Moxxie, and Millie are excited.

The circus looks really great. I've never seen a hairy human before," Millie says.

"I have to agree. And those trapeze artists look great. Kind of reminds me of you and me," Berry says.

Then turns to Drew, "Right Drew?"

"Yeah. It's pretty cool," Drew says.

Just then, Matt announces, "And for last and not least! If you all can look up above…"

Everyone looks up to see some light above to reveal Blitz walking on the tight rope as he jangles knives in his hands. Everyone becomes astonished and amazed, and a little surprised by his appearance. Moxxie, Millie, Drew, and Berry however are in shock.

"What the…" Drew says, stunned.

"Is that…" Berry says, stunned.

"It can't be… how… it's impossible…" Moxxie says, shocked.

Millie is so shocked that she doesn't have any words to say.

Above, Blitz continues to juggle his knives.

Matt continues, "One of our bright red stars of our troops. Expert with sharp knives, and balancers on the tightrope. Blitz!"

Blitz then stops juggling his knives and has the handles of the knives tied around his tail. Blitz pulls his tail back with his knives. He then slowly performs a split with his legs on the tightrope. He then leans back to grab on to the rope. Then lifts himself into an upside down position. Everyone is shocked to see this. He then moves his legs around to perform a split with opposite legs. Then he stands back up to a standing position. Everyone begins to clap and cheer with excitement. Drew, Berry, Moxxie, and Millie are still stunned to see what they've witnessed.

After the performance, everyone leaves and heads home for the night. Everyone talks about the great performance. Moxxie, Millie, Drew, and Berry are among the crowd and are rather shocked to see Blitz among the circus performers. They separate themselves from the crowd and hide behind one of the food booths.

Moxxie is having trouble finding the words, "What…? When…? Why…? How…?"

"Moxxie, try to calm down," Millie says.

"How can I calm down?!" Moxxie shouts.

Berry says, "Millie's right, freaking out of what we saw is not going to help us."

Moxxie takes deep breaths and says, "Alright, I think I'm calm now."

"Now then, let's go over what we just saw," Drew says. "We saw an actual Imp with that circus. Judging by the circus performers and the Ringmaster, it seems that they're either away that he's an Imp or that this one is wearing a costume. And this Imp seems to be well experienced at the circus."

"You're right. It's like he's used to performing in front of all these people," Berry says.

"But how can we be sure that this Imp is real or not?" Millie asks.

"Well, the best way for us to figure it out is to investigate," Drew says.

Then Moxxie says, "I suggest we come back here tomorrow. There will be a lot of people at the circus tomorrow, and the employees will be distracted. That should give us some time to investigate."

"Alright then, let's come back here first thing tomorrow. We know the office will be closed, but if we explain it to our boss, I'm sure he'll agree for us to investigate," Drew says.

The Next Day:

The sun shines bright in the sky as the employees of the circus are working. Among these are Blitz, Andy, Candy, and Tim. They are helping feed the animals for their lunch inside one of the animal tents. Andy and Tim use pitchforks to place the hay in some of the animal stalls. As Blitz and Candy bring the water for them.

Just then, Moxxie, Millie, Drew, and Berry peek their heads from outside of the tent to watch Blitz working with humans.

"Wow. Blitz seems like a hard worker," Moxxie says.

"And the humans are helping him. They don't seem to care about his appearance at all," Drew says.

"But the humans in the circus seem different from the rest of them. I wonder if they're demons in disguise," Berry says.

"Let's keps observing a little longer," Drew says.

"I suppose, but I feel like we're no better than Randall when it comes to spying on someone," Berry says.

"At least we're doing something important, rather than just doing it for the fun of it," Moxxie says.

Everyone nods their heads in reply.

And so, the four continue to spy on Blitz from a distance. They watch Blitz help the employees set up some of the performers' acts, clean up, bring some supplies like food, tickets, souvenirs, and etc. They also see Blitz play with Mimmy, who is actually his pet kitten, and see him petting Mimmy and taking care of her. After their investigation, the group are at the train tracks where the circus train is at.

"So far, Blitz seems to have a life in the circus," Millie says.

"I have to agree. And the humans seem to like Blitz as well," Moxxie says.

"And he even has a pet kitten. She's really cute," Berry adds.

"I feel that we need to know more about him. Still, there are a few humans he seems to be very close to. Almost like they're family," Drew says.

"So where to next?" Millie asks.

"Well, since we're at the train car, I say we look here," Drew says.

"Alright, let's go look around," Moxxie says.

The group soon begins to investigate the inside of the train cars. Even though they're breaking an entering, they feel it's necessary to learn more about their mystery circus star. They search from the caboose of the train and search their way up.

In one of the cars, Moxxie looks around and soon finds a photograph on the small furniture. He looks to see Blitz is in the picture along with his family.

Moxxie peeks out the window and says, "Guys, this is the car Blitz is staying in."

The others hear Moxxie and hurry over to the train car he's in. Moxxie opens the door to the train car and allows them entry. With that, they begin to explore around to see the bedroom that belongs to Blitz.

"Good, now we're getting somewhere," Drew says.

The group then begins to look around the train car, and Blitz's bedroom. Soon, Millie pulls out one of the books, opens it, and sees a bunch of pictures.

Millie smiles and says, "Aww, look. He has a photo album."

The group then begins to look at the photos as Millie turns the pages. They're some of Blitz when he's a baby, his childhood, and his young adult years. There's even some photos of himself with the people from the circus, and all of them are really human, except Blitz himself.

"Aww, he looks so cute," Berry says.

"But from the looks of it, he's been with this circus all his life. And these pictures prove that he's one of us," Moxxie says.

Then wonders, "So then, how did he get here? He shouldn't have any access to the human world."

Outside of the train car, Blitz walks with Candy back to the train car, while Mimmy is in his arms.

Blitz turns to Candy, "I'm going to go get some rest and might take a shower later before the show starts."

"Sure. I'll see you later," Candy says, and walks off to check on the rest of the preparations.

"Bye," Blitz says as Candy takes her leave.

Blitz looks down to Mimmy, "Come on, girl. Let's go inside and get some rest. And maybe we can play a little."

"Mimmy happily says, "Meow!

Blitz approaches the door and about to unlock it with the key.

But soon notices something off, "Huh." He gently touches the door to notice that it's slightly open.

Blitz arches his eyebrow with a confused look, "The door's unlocked? Why is it open?"

Blitz slowly opens the door and walks in. As he slowly sneaks inside, he begins to hear voices.

"I'm sure there's a reason why. From the looks of it, the humans in the circus raised him," Berry's voice says.

"So then, how did he get here to begin with? He doesn't seem to have a human appearance," Drew's voice says.

"Should we really do something about it? I mean, he seems to be doing fine. And from what we saw, he seems happy here," Millie's voice says.

"But it's only a matter of time before humans realizes that he's an Imp. Demon hunters might be after him if they find out. He'll be in danger," Moxxie's voice says.

Blitz then slowly walks over as he hears the voices, and they're coming from his room. He slowly walks over to see the four humans inside his room.

"You're right. It will put him and everyone in the circus in danger if anyone figured it out. I wonder why he's not disguised," Drew replies.

Curious, Blitz calmly asks, "Um excuse me."

The four humans become startled and turn to see Blitz peeking through the door entry of the door.

"What are you doing looking through my room?" Blitz asks, and places Mimmy down.

Berry nervously says, "Um well, uh you see."

Blitz crosses his arms and calmly asks, "Well…"

Moxxie then steps forward and says, "Hello, I'm Moxxie, and we apologize for sneaking into your train car and going through your personal belongings. We had our reasons. We saw your show yesterday and well, we were surprised to see you."

"I guess it's understandable," Blitz says.

"It is?" Moxxie says, confused.

"Um yeah. I know it's a bit confusing, but yeah. I'm very different from everyone else here. Sometimes I'm not even sure if I am human. I know this is going to come as a bit of a surprise, but I was adopted. I was found when I was baby and lived in the circus ever since," Blitz answers.

Then asks, "But what does it have to do with you sneaking in my room? And what is an Imp? And why do you guys think I shouldn't have been here?"

The group soon turn to each other and are taken by surprise. In their head, they understand why Blitz has been living with a human family despite his appearance and what he is.

Millie then questions, "You see Blitz, what would you say that uh, there are more like you?"

"More like me?" Blitz asks, confused.

"What my friend is saying is that there are others like you, others of your own kind?" Drew says.

Then turns to Moxxie and Millie, "Show them guys."

Moxxie and Millie look at each other, and nod their heads in reply. And with that, they both soon transform.

Moxxie is now a red skin creature with white freckles on his cheeks. His white pointy hair leads up to his curvy black and white striped horns. He also has yellow sclera with black slit pupils. He also has a long red thin tail with a quadrilateral barb at the end, as well as lanky digitigrade legs ending in what appears to be cloven red hooves, reminiscent of artiodactyls.

Millie is now a bright red creature with a long devilish tail and white markings. Her eyes are yellow scleras and black pupils, and long black eyelashes that extend beyond the sides of her hair. She also has two black horns with three thin white stripes.

Other than that, their clothes seem to be the same, but more adjusted to their new bodies.

Blitz is shocked to see that not only Moxxie and Millie have changed appearance, but their appearances seem a lot similar to Blitz's appearance. Mimmy becomes startled and hisses in reply.

"How is this…? Why do you…?" Blitz asks, shocked.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but…" Drew says.

And with that Drew and Berry transform as well.

Drew and Berry transform as well, and their appearance has changed as well.

Drew has maroon skin with horns are maroon on the bottom, but the upper parts are black. He also has a long devilish tail with a black tip, and black wings on his back.

Berry's skin color is strawberry red. Drew, she has the same type of horns, and black wings. She has a long skinny tail, but has white tip, and her left horn seems longer than her right horn.

And both their clothes are adjusted to their new appearance.

"The truth is, we're actually demons, and you are a demon as well," Drew explains.

"What?" Blitz says, shocked, and feels like he's going to go into shock.

Before he can say anything, he hears Andy's voice, "Blitz, are you here?"

Blitz and the others turn their heads to see Andy, along with Tim, Candy, Lily, and Matt walk in.

"We're going to go to order some lunch. We want to know if you want…" Andy says, but stops to see the four demons staring before him.

It comes as a shock, including Matt and his family.

"Uh yeah. This is a shock for me as well," Blitz says and lets out a nervous laugh.

Matt and his family remain silent, and Tim practically faints on the spot.

Blitz sheepishly smiles and asks, "So… what are we having for lunch?"
