Chapter 11: Party Crashing Mishap
One early morning in Hell, there is a building known as the Goetia Mansion of the Great Prince Stolas. The mansion is a regal burgundy colored building. Its windows are elegant and tall with pink stained glass, which light long corridors filled with plant vases. It also has Stolas's glyph carved in several places such as the balconies.
In one of the chambers, the Goetia Prince is sleeping in his bed. Prince Stolas is an anthropomorphic owl demon. He is tall and slender, with a white, heart-shaped facial disk and small black beak, resembling that of an owl. He has gray-blue feathers, which gradient to dark gray-blue on his head and long, plume-like tail. He has a lighter gray-blue puff of fur on his chest. His limbs are long, thin, and black, and his feet are tipped with owl claws.
He soon opens his two pairs of almond-shaped red eyes, one set atop the other, with no visible irises or pupils.
Stolas wakes up feeling dejected. He sits up and groans as he gets out of bed. He soon dressed in his burgundy robe and hoes to his boudoir. He brushes back his feathery head, and takes a bottle of pills. Then he walks to the library and opens up the grimoire and sees the magic floating out of the book. Stolas soon closes the book and walks away.
Stolas walks down the halls as a female voice muffle, "Yes, together we're-"
Stolas opens a door that has three stars on it to see his daughter named Octavia, a young owlet in her teens sleeping in her bed. She has a coat of gray feathers two tear-like streaks below both eyes, and has a white mask-like face, along with shaggy scruffy hair feathers.
He then wanders in the kitchen to see his wife, Stella. A tall, slim, white avian demon. Stella has long, hair-like feathers that have gray tips and a large gray stripe on her head. She has a short pink beak, and very long curved eyelashes. She has gray markings underneath her eyes, which themselves have red sclera with light pupils. For attire, she wears a white dress with puffed sleeves and feather trimming, along with black accents. She is seen wearing a crown, and has painted nails underneath her black gloves.
As Stolas walks in the kitchen and grabs a kettle, Stella talks loudly on the phone, "I know still being married isn't a big enough occasion, but to be fair, it's no picnic being married to a boring stiff like Stolas." And turns to see Stolas, who has entered the room.
Stolas tries to start a conversation, but she holds her index finger at him. Knowing she's on the phone, letting him know she's preoccupied. Stolas walks away and to the kitchen table to drink his morning beverage. He uses his magic to open the newspaper in front of him. He soon notices something particular in the paper. It reads, 'Not Divorced: Anniversary Party! Couples only.'
He turns to his wife and asks, "Stella, what in Hell is this?"
Stella turns to Stolas and answers, "Ugh, Stolas, you know I like throwing parties. Plus, it's true, so you know you can come if you want." And flips her hair feathers.
Stolas decides to drink his morning beverage, hoping to ignore what Stella has said.
Meanwhile, in Moxxie and Millie's household, Blitz is inside his bedroom looking into his special treasure chest. It also has a lock attached to it. The treasure chest is brown with gold designs on the edge areas, even on the lock is gold with some rhinestones decorated on them. The box is the size: 7.3"X 5.8 ''X6.2". Blitz then takes out the yellow key and unlocks the lock. Then opens the chest to see a few things. A few jewelry, a few photographs, a few fishing lures, and other small items, which are really Blitz's small treasures. He also brings out a certain picture of him and his family. Blitz smiles to see the picture and looks down to see his mother's pearl bracelet and places it on his wrist.
"What you got there, Blitz?" Randall voice answers.
Snapping out of his inner thoughts, Blitz quickly turns to see Randall and yelps in surprise that he almost falls off the bed. And sees Randall sitting on his bed.
Blitz says in surprise, "Randall?! You scared me."
"Hey Blitz, thought I might drop by and see what you're up to," Randall says.
"Um, I'm doing fine. I was just looking into my treasure chest. It is where I keep my special things. You know, my special treasures," Blitz says.
"That's pretty cool. So what's in there?" Randall asks.
"Well, a few photographs, things I collected and made, and things that were given to me from my friends and family," Blitz answers.
Blitz brings out a lure that is a green and black color fish, with a bright green and black flashy tail, and has a hook. There is also a lure that looks warm, and another that looks like a red crawdad.
"These are some of the fishing lures I got from my dad," Blitz says.
"You fish?" Randall questions.
"Well sometimes. I usually do it with my dad, brother, Uncle Matt, and my cousins Tim and Andy. We kind of have a guys day and go fishing for hours. We even caught some and grilled them. Of course, we take them to a professional to help with the guts and stuff," Blitz says.
"Sounds cool," Randall says.
Then Blitz shows the bracelet on his wrist, "And this is my mom's bracelet. She gave it to me before she passed away."
"It looks really nice. Where did she get it?" Randall asks.
"I remember my mom telling me that this actually used to belong to her mother. According to my mom, her great grandfather was a jeweler and specialized with pearls, jewels and accessories when he used to live in San Francisco," Blitz says.
"So he made it?" Randall asks.
"Yeah. I never met him, but my great-grandfather made this for my great-grandmother as an engagement present. Then when my grandmother was getting married, she passed it down to her. And then my grandma passed it down to my mom when she was marrying my dad. And when she was dying, she decided to pass it down to me," Blitz says.
"So it's a family heirloom. Pretty cool," Randall says.
"Yeah. I don't plan on giving it up for anything. It was the last thing my mom gave to me before she died," Blitz says.
He then brings out a gold medal that is attached to a blue, red, and white ribbon. Along with a picture of Blitz along with a few campers, including his brother and sister.
"This is the medal I got. I won an obstacle race with my siblings and team from camp when I was a kid," Blitz says.
"Nice," Randall says.
"I guess with being in the circus, I wasn't too worried about being on the zipline," Blitz says.
He then brings out a drawn picture of the night sky along with different constellations, some look like animals.
"And these are the drawings I did. I know my drawings aren't great, but they're good. And some I got from my cousins," Blitz says.
"Looks nice," Randall says.
"Thanks," Blitz says.
Then Randall asks, "So what are your plans tonight?"
"Not much. Moxie and Millie are going out to dinner tonight, so I was just going to stay and hang out with Mimmy," Blitz says.
Then turns to see Mimmy happily playing on her little playset.
"Well, if you have nothing better to do. I know where we can have some real fun," Randall says.
"What's that?" Blitz asks, confused.
"You remember us talking to you about Prince Stolas, the guy who allowed us to use his spell book to get us to the human world?" Randall asks.
"Well kind of. You guys told me about him, but I never met him before," Blitz says.
"Well, I think it's time you actually met him," Randall says.
"Huh?" Blitz says, confused, arching an eyebrow.
"Tonight is the 'Not Divorce' Anniversary Party Prince Stolas' wife, Stella is hosting. There will be a lot of Goetia Demons, relatives, friends and all that shit. I already convinced Razor about crashing the party. How would you like to come with us?" Randall explains.
"You want us to do what?!" Blitz asks in shock and exclaims, "Randall, we can't do something like that! Sure you told me that Prince Stolas lent you guys his book, but it would be bad if we crashed his anniversary party! We could get in serious trouble!"
"Relax, I don't get caught when I go to that party to have some fun and mess with those Goeitas. Besides, Stolas really doesn't mind. He really doesn't enjoy his anniversary party," Randall says.
"Why not?" Blitz asks, confused.
"Well, it's a long story, but to put it simply, Stolas and Stella don't really uh, like each other or love each other. The only reason why they're married is because they were arranged," Randall says.
"An arranged marriage. That sounds rough," Blitz replies.
"That's what I heard. I sometimes go there to help liven things up a bit so Stolas won't get fuckin bored. Course, he gets mad at me for causing trouble, mainly from his wife's rage," Randall says.
"All the more reason not to go," Blitz says.
"Come on, we'll go over there, sneak inside, and crash the party, and help Stolas to not deal with that bitch. It will be fun," Randall says.
Blitz thinks for a bit and sighs, "Alright, I'll go. Besides, I'm actually curious about meeting the Prince you guys are associating with."
"That's the spirit. You're going to have a lot of fun hanging with us," Randall says with a grin on his face.
He grabs Blitz's wrist and pulls him out of the room and closes the door.
Time has gone by, and it's already night time, well, as night Hell can be. The Goetia mansion is deep blue with violet tones, to imitate the night sky, and the glyph is glowing a blue color as well. Inside of the building, there are many different Goeita demons who are either dancing, eating or drinking, or even chatting among themselves. There are also servants serving food and drinks to the guests and piano playing. Soon, Randall, Razor, and Blitz peek out through the window to see the party.
"There it is, the big party. And it looks like the Goetias are having too much fun than to worry about us sneaking in," Randall says.
"And how exactly are we going to do that? You say the paper, it's for couples only, and there are only three of us," Blitz says.
"Blitz is right, Randall. Besides, I don't think it's a good idea," Razor says.
"Relax. I know what I'm doing. I say it's about time you have fun with me when it comes to crashing parties," Randall says.
But Razor says, "I say, you're going to get us in deep shit."
"You guys worry too much. I used to sneak here during Stolas' parties a few times," Randall says.
"You what?!" Razor whispers in anger.
"Come on, we can sneak through Stolas' room. He usually keeps his balcony unlocked," Randall says, and heads off.
Razor and Blitz soon follow. The two soon follow Randall to the back of the palace and stop to see Randall looking up somewhere.
Randall says, "This is where we need to enter."
The two look up to see the balcony above them. It's practically on the third floor.
"You want us to climb all the way up there?" Blitz asks.
"Exactly," Randall says.
"Wouldn't it be easier to use the door?" Blitz questions.
"Come on, Blitz, I'm sure you like to make an entrance during your shows, and I figure you're used to climbing up high places," Randall says.
"During my shows, yes, but not to break into someone's house," Blitz points out.
"I say, you're going to get us in trouble," Razor says.
"Oh don't be such a puss. We'll be fine," Randall says.
Randall soon becomes invisible, doing who knows what.
Blitz turns to Razor, "Are we really going to do this?"
"Well, Randall did manage to convince us," Razor says.
"How did he convince you to come?" Blitz asks.
Razor then places out a gun that has a grappling hook attacked, "He said I can test my gadgets to use for our missions."
Razor then fires the gun and the grappling hook flies over and it's hooked to the part of the roof.
"Come on, let's go," Razor says, and climbs up the wall.
Blitz follows after him.
The two climb up the rope to the balcony. When they reach the top, Razor is about to climb on the balcony so they can get to the mansion.
Suddenly, Randall appears and shouts, "Ooga Booga!"
Blitz and Razor scream in fright and they both fall off the rope and crash into the bushes. Randall begins laughing with a big grin on his face.
"That was hilarious! You should see the look on their faces!" Randall laughs.
Randall then climbs down the balcony and lands in front of the two friends. Razor and Blitz groan in pain as they sit up.
Razor glares at Randall, "Randall, you fuckin jerk! You almost gave us a fuckin' heart attack!?"
"Ow. That really hurts," Blitz says, feeling pain from his head.
"Oh relax Razor. It's supposed to be fun. Besides, you only get in trouble if you get caught," Randall says.
"Hey! What are you punks doing here?!" Someone shouts.
The three turn to see two Hellhounds, one of them looks like a wolf and the other looks like a dachshund or a different species of dog.
"Looks like we got caught, huh Randall?" Razor says, glaring at Randall.
"And we're in big trouble," Blitz says, worried.
Randall shouts, "Less talking, more running!"
And with that, the three friends begin to run as the two Hellhounds chase them across the years to capture them. Just then, Blitz ends up tripping and falls into the bushes. The hellhounds run past them and continue to chase Randall and Razor. Soon, the two rush out of the gate and down the street.
The wolf-like Hellhound shouts, "And stay out!"
Sometime later, Randall and Razor are heavily breathing from the running.
Razor glares at Randall and says, "I knew this will fuckin happen."
"It's not my fault those Hellhounds showed up when we were getting on the balcony," Randall angrily says.
"This was totally your fault. I knew we shouldn't have come here," Razor angrily says.
"At least we got away and Stolas won't know about it," Randall says.
Then looks around to notice, "Hold on, where's Blitz?"
Razor becomes shocked, "He must still be at the estate!"
"This is bad," Randall says.
"No kidding. We were supposed to keep an eye on him, Randall," Razor angrily says, and shows his claws.
"Well, it's kind of hard while we were running and being chased by the guards," Randall says.
Razor then grabs Randall by his neck and angrily says, "Well then, you better get your fuckin ass at that mansion. If those Hellhounds find him and kill him, I'll personally kill him with my claws.
"Okay okay! I'll go to the mansion and find him! I'm sure Stolas is just going to toss Blitz out if the Hellhounds bring him inside!" Randall nervously says.
"You better be sure about that!" Razor angrily says, and drops Randall to the ground.
Randall glares at Razor as he rubs his neck to feel the pain from it.
Back in the bushes, Blitz lifts his head as cherubs his face.
"That really hurt," Blitz says.
Blitz looks around and begins standing up, "I need to get out of here before those Hellhounds come back."
He soon hears footsteps and looks to see the Hellhounds from before are coming back. Blitz panics and notices a window on the first floor open slightly. Blitz acts fast and slowly opens the window, jumps inside, and closes the window quietly before the two Hellhounds walk by. Blitz lowers to the floor and remains quiet to wait patiently until the Hellhounds are gone. Blitz takes a small peek to see the Hellhounds are walking away.
Blitz sighs, "Phew, that was close." He stands up and dust himself, "But I can't stay here. I need to find a way out of the mansion without anyone noticing."
Soon, Blitz begins to walk around the mansion to see the mansion. He notices there are a lot of potted plants in a straight line down the hall, each of them on a small piece of furniture or on the floor.
"Wow. the place actually looks very nice," Blitz says.
And so, Blitz decides to walk down the halls to see the many different plants and glass windows as he walks down the hall. Blitz walks down the hall to see so many different kinds of vases, jewels, and other expensive valuables. Blitz is amazed to see so many different things. He looks up in order of the rooms to see different forms of constellations on the ceiling.
"Wow. This looks amazing," Blitz says, amazed.
Blitz then walks down the hall to find the kitchen, and notices a rather large plant inside.
"Huh. Never seen a plant like that before," Blitz says.
Blitz looks at the plant and suddenly notices it starting to move. Blitz feels a bit uneasy, and decides to leave while he's ahead. Blitz continues to walk down the hall.
Blitz sighs, "Well it looks like I'll be exploring the palace without the others. How on earth, I mean, in Hell did I let Randall talk me into doing this."
Blitz continues to walk down the hall to explore the palace, and see what else it has to offer.
Meanwhile, in the ballroom of the Goetia mansion, Prince Stolas is taking a sip of his wine and looking around to see the Gorilla dancing, and chatting. Among them is his wife Stella along with two other Goetia Demons.
Stella laughs loudly, "No, Stolas is terrible in bed. I swear to fuck, he just lays there staring at the wall, and I have to do everything. It's embarrassing." Then lets out a sign, "I'm glad one egg fell out of me so I could stop pretending to want to fuck his scrawny twig ass."
She then drinks from one of her glasses, and tosses it behind her, and it smashes at the window. Her friends soon laugh with her.
Not far from the group, Stolas is simply standing and clearly hearing everything that is being said about him to his immense displeasure. Stolas simply turns to see Stella walking away with her two friends as they laugh.
Stella then looks directly at Stolas, "What a pathetic fucking man."
Stolas snarls and makes bird sound effects in pure anger.
Then catches a waiter's attention, "Do you have anything stronger than this?"
"We have absinthe, your highness," The waiter says.
Stolas places the wine glass on the tray and takes the skewers of mice, "Bring me all of it." Then eat them all in one bite.
During the time, Stolas can still hear Stella's voice from a distance, "Poor people! Ugh, I'm so glad that they're not allowed into this thing. I don't want them anywhere near me." along with her laughing, "Can you imagine if you didn't have money?" and still laugh.
During the time, a different waiter brings Stolas a tray with a tiny shot and a green bottle of absinthe, and he pours a shot. But instead of taking the small shot, Stolas takes the entire green bottle and chugging it down.
He says in thought, "This is going to be a long night."
He then turns to a different hallway and notices a few portraits on the wall.
One is a picture of Stolas as a teenager, and is holding a mirror with another demon's appearance on it.
Blitz looks at the writing on the bottom frame, "King Paimon and Prince Stolas."
Blitz looks at the portrait and wonders, "Huh. I wonder if that's Stolas? And the one in the mirror might be Paimon."
Blitz then looks at another portrait. The second one is the picture of Stolas and Stella, both of them have frowns on their faces.
Blitz then looks at the writing and reads, "Prince Stolas and Princess Stella."
He then looks at the picture, "They both don't seem too happy. Randall did tell me that they had an arranged marriage, so maybe they didn't like the fact of being married to each other. Randall did also mention they don't seem to like each other."
The last one is Stolas and his daughter Octavia, who was a younger age at the time. They seem to be happier in the picture.
Blitz reads, "Prince Stolas and Princess Octavia."
"So this must be Stolas and his daughter. She sure is a cute kid. Judging by the picture they both must be very close," Blitz says.
Then sadly sighs, "Just like me and my mom were."
Suddenly, he hears footsteps and turns his head back to hear footsteps coming in his direction.
Blitz mutters, "Shoot, someone's coming!"
Then, Blitz quickly runs down the hall and into the fist door he sees. He opens the door, runs inside, and closes the door before anyone can spot him.
Soon, Blitz finds himself in a dark room, there is a large canopy bed with curtains attached, a couch, and a few pieces of furniture. Some have candle holders with candles on it. There's also a small library with one of the moving ladders. He also notices a glass door that leads to the balcony.
"I might be in Prince Stolas' bedroom," Blitz says to himself.
Then tries to process what to do, "What am I going to do? If I leave someone is bound to see me and I'll be in big trouble, but if I don't, one of the royals is bound to come in."
Blitz sighs, "I guess the best I can do is stay in here and hope someone will come in."
Blitz then walks to the bookshelf and says, "He sure does have a lot of books. Maybe I can read a few while I wait. "
Blitz then takes one of the books out of the self, sits on the couch close by, and begins to read. He figures since he's going to be stuck in the room, he might as well make the best of it.
