Chapter 48: The Goetia Princess Rescue Case Part 2

Sometime later, after a bit of a drive, Sarge arrives at his home with Octavia sitting next to him. He parks the car and picks up Octavia as he exits the car. Soon enough, Sarge enters his home and walks inside with Octavia in her arms.

"There we are, home sweet home," Sarge says.

"It seems kind of nice," Octavia says.

"Well, it's different compared to the palace you live in, but it's a good place for two demons," Sarge says.

Sarge then walks to the living room and places her on the couch.

Sarge then pats the princess on the head, "You stay and make yourself comfortable, I'll go order us some lunch? Anything in particular."

"Um, can we have some pizza?" Octavia replies, shyly.

Sarge chuckles, "Sure. I'll order some for us."

He then calls out, "Loona, I'm home!"

Just then the door opens and Loona walks over with her phone, "Hey dad, how was work?"

"Good, and we have a guest staying with us for a little while," Sarge says.

Loona becomes confused, but then turns to notice the little owlet sitting on the couch.

"Uh hi," Loona says, confused.

"Um hello," Octavia replies shyly with a wave of her little hand.

Loona then turns to her dad with a confused look, "Uh dad, who is this?"

"That's our guest. Loona, this is Octavia. Octavia, this is my adopted daughter, Loona," Sarge says.

"Wow. I didn't know your daughter was a Hellhound," Octavia says, a little surprised and amazed.

"That's right. I adopted her a long time ago," Sarge says.

Octavia looks at Loona with curious eyes.

"What? Have you ever seen a Hellhound before?" Loona questions.

"Oh no. I've seen a few Hellhounds, but they usually act as security. But I have never seen a girl Hellhound before," Octavia says.

Then tilts her head, "Are you an adult?"

Loona chuckles says, "No, I'm actually ten."

"Really? I'm five and you look pretty tall," Octavia asks, surprised.

"Well, Hellhounds can grow bigger than Imps, well, some of them anyway. I have a bit of a growth spurt going on so yeah. I'll be taller when I'm an adult," Loona says.

"Do you think you'll be as tall as my dad?" Octavia asks with eyes sparkling.

Loona shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know, maybe."

Then asks, "So Octavia, you wanna play a game?"

"Sure," Octavia happily says with a nod.

"Sounds good, I'll order the pizza while you two girls play," Sarge says.

"Okay," The girls replies.

Then Loona says to Octavia, "Come on, let's go to my room and have some fun."

"Okay," Octavia happily says.

The two then leave the couch and head to Loona room. Sarge can't help, but give them a calm smile.

"Now then, I'll call for lunch and then see if I can get in touch with Octavia's father. I just hope he'll come before Skeeter comes over," Sarge says, and dials the phone, "From what I've heard, I'm afraid Skeeter might be up to something if he learns I have a Goetia Royal in my apartment."

Meanwhile, in Stolas's home, Stolas, who's in his twenties at the time, is in his chamber walking around in circles in deep concern and is almost seconds away from exploding.

Stella watches as Stolas practically pacing around and says, "Stolas, stop walking around in a circle, you're going to create a hole in the floor."

"Stella is right you know, it's not going to help with the situation," Another voice calmly says.

Stolas stops and turns his head to see an avian demon with white feathers, turquoise eyes and beak, and periwinkle hair. He wears a bright blue fur coat and a long white dress. He also wears a turquoise colored crown. His name is Andrealphus, brother to Stolas' wife, Stella and Stolas' brother in law. He is also known as 54th rank of the Goeita demons and ranked Marquis.

Then Andrealphus says, "I know that you're worried, but walking around as you're deep in thought thoughts isn't going to help."

"How can I calm down? My house was invaded while I was away on important duties, and my daughter is missing," Stolas says, clearly upset. And soon, he begins to panic, "For all I know, she could have been kidnapped, or ran away and got lost, or even… I don't even want to think about it.

Suddenly, Stolas has been smacked upside the head and yelp, "Ow!"

Stolas turns to see Stella who is holding a calm and serious look on his face.

Stella sternly says, "You need to get a grip of yourself. Panicking and frantically worrying isn't going to help with this situation. It also makes you look pathetic."

"Now Stella, I'm sure you're worried about Octavia too," Andrealphus says.

Steall takes a deep breath and says, "Of course I am, but I'm trying not to panic about it."

Stolas sighs and says, "You're right. I need to remain calm. I just want my daughter back. I want to at least know if she's okay."

"I'm sure she'll be found soon. Many of the guards are still searching for her," Andrealphus says.

Stolas sighs, "I hope she's found soon."

Suddenly, the two hear a hooting sound and turn to see the telephone ringing.

"Who could that be?" Stolas question.

"Possible that one of the guards found a lead, or could be the kidnapper," Andrealphus says.

Stolas glares at the other Goetia Demon, "That is not something I wanna hear."

"It's best that you answer it," Andrealphus says.

"Fine," Stolas says, growing frustrated.

Andrealphus whispers, "I think your husband is about to explode any minute, dear sister."

"I'm surprised that he hasn't yet," Stella whispers.

Stolas then picks up the phone and answers, "Hello."

"Hello, is this Prince Stolas Goetia on the phone?" Sarge's voice appears on the other line.

"Yes. This is him. To whom is calling?" Stolas calmly says, even though he's minutes of exploding.

"My name is Sarge Ryders from Imp City, and this is going to sound a bit shocking, but it's very important to hear what I have to say. Especially of what has happened to you and your family," Sarge calmly replies.

Stolas sighs, "Of course, I'll try to remain calm."

"Right," Sarge replies.

Then explains, "You see, I'm an assassin, and was just hired to kill four Imps who turned their backs on one of their members. I agreed to take the job and managed to kill the four Imps. However… turns out they had a hostage there."

"Uh, your point?" Stolas questions, irritated.

"Sorry, I'll just give it to you straight," Sarge says.

Then explains, "I ended up being hired to kill four Imps who kidnapped your daughter, and I suspected the one who hired me is their accomplice. And I have your daughter at my place right now."

"My daughter's with you?!" Stolas asks, shocked.

This also shocked Stella and Andrealphus.

"Yes. She is," Sarge says.

Before he can explain, Stolas shouts, making him move the phone away from his head, "Where is she?! Is she alright?! How did she end up with you?! You better not harm a single feather on her precious head!"

Then Sarge says, "Calm down your majesty! I understand you're upset, but you need to remain calm."

Stolas soon takes a deep breath and decides that it's best for him to remain calm.

Then answers the phone, "Um, of course. I apologize for my outburst, I was just worried because I haven't made any progress on my daughter's whereabouts."

"I understand. I'm actually a father as well, so I can understand that you're worried," Sarge says.

Then narrows his eyes, "Believe me, I did not take kindly to those Imps who kidnapped a child. I may be an assassin, but I wouldn't stoop that low as to hurt a child."

"Oh, I see," Stolas replies over the phone.

He then asks, "Where is my daughter right now? I wish to speak to her."

"Sure. She's playing with my daughter in her room, so I'll be sure to give her the phone. And I'm sure she'll be happy to hear you," Sarge says.

Sarge then walks to Loona's bedroom door, opens it, and walks inside to see Loona and Octavia are playing a video game on a game console attached to the small television. More like Loona is teaching Octavia to play a video game. Octavia is holding the controller while Loona is giving her instructions.

"Okay, you jump right there," Loona says. "Great. Now jump into the pipe, it will lead you to the next area… be careful, there is a mimic chest there."

"What's a mimic chest? It looks like a treasure chest to me," Octavia asks.

"That's the trick. It looks like a treasure chest, but it's actually a monster. If you get too close to it, it will eat you right up," Loona says.

"Oh. So it's a trap?" Octavia asks, tilting her head.

"Yep. Best to steer clear of it," Loona says.

"Okay," Octavia says.

Sarge walks over and says, "Hey girls, I see you're having fun."

"Yeah. I'm teaching Octavia to play my new video game," Loona says.

"That's nice," Sarge says with a smile.

Then says, "By the way Octavia, I managed to call your father and he's on the line for you."

"Really?" Octavia asks, excited.

"Yes. He wants to talk to you," Sarge says.

Wasting no time, Octavia passes the controller to Loona and rushes to Sarge. Sarge kneels down and gives Octavia the phone.

Octavia holds the phone close to her head and answers "Hello daddy."

And once again, Stolas shouts, "Via! Are you alright?! You're not hurt are you?!"

Loona then says, "Your dad shouts really loud?"

Octavia turns to Loona and nods her head.

Then turns to the phone and answers, "It's okay daddy. I'm okay. I was really scared, but I'm okay."

"Oh thank goodness. I was so worried. I heard what happened in the mansion and what happened to you. Oh, you must have been so scared," Stolas says frantically.

Octavia sadly nods her head, "Yes, I… I was really scared. When I woke up I found myself surrounded by these scary Imps, and I was really scared."

But then smiles, "But Mr. Sarge saved me."

Then nervously says, "It was kind of scary when he started killing those Imps, but he still saved me and brought me to his home. He was nice and Loona is really cool."

"Loona?" Stolas says, confused.

Octavia nods her head, "Hmm mmm. She's my new friend. She's teaching me how to play her video game."

"That sounds nice. I'm glad to hear you're safe. I'll be right over to pick you up, so be good to Sarge," Stolas says.

"Okay daddy," Octaia says.

Then Stolas asks, "Could you hand the phone over to Sarge?"

Octavia nods her head and hands Sarge the phone, "Daddy wants to talk to you."

"Sure," Sarge says, and takes the phone.

Then answers, "Hello."

"Hello again, Sarge. I want to thank you for keeping my daughter safe," Stolas says.

"No problem. However, there is something you should be aware of…" Sarge says as he walks out of the room.

"What is it?" Stolas asks.

Once out of the room, Sarge closes the door and continues, "Well, Skeeter, the name of the client who wanted me to kill his former accomplice will be coming by soon. I'm not a hundred percent sure, but he probably suspects I will find Octavia and bring her here. He might try to kill me and Loona and take your daughter."

"I see. Do you have any other information?" Stolas replies.

"I don't know much, but they were hired by someone to kidnap your daughter for their client. I don't know who their client was, but it appears that whoever the client is, they wanted to use your daughter for some experiment, involving revolutionizing Hell," Sarge explains.

Stolas nods his head, "Of course, thank you for bringing this to my attention. If this Skeeter does show up, be sure to protect my daughter and I'll be right there."

"Alright. I'll see you soon," Sarge says.

Then hangs up the phone. Suddenly, he hears a knock on the door. Sarge stands and looks at the door in silence. Just then, he notices the doorknob jiggling hard, like someone is trying to force the door open. Sarge narrows his eyes and rushes to Loona's room to see the kids playing the game.

Sarge says, "Loona, turn off the T.V. And hide in the closet with Octavia."

"What's wrong dad?" Loona asks, turning off the T.V and the game console.

"Sorry. I don't have time to explain, just take Octavia and hide in the closet, and don't come out," Sarge says.

"Alright," Loona says, and stands up.

She picks up Octavia and says, "Come on Via."

Loona then rushes to the closet and closes the door. Outside of the room, a gun clicks, and bullets fly through the door and around the doorknob. Then the doorknob falls off the door and hits the ground. Sarge then rushes out of Loona's room and closes the door as the door bursts open, revealing that Skeeter has kicked the door open and has shot the doorknob off with a machine gun.

Sarge glares at Skeeter and says, "I thought you might try something like this."

"Pretty smart. It's a good thing I brought my machine gun when I did," Skeeter says with an evil grin.

Then points the gun at Sarge, "Now then, I suggest you hand over the princess, if you don't want to have holes in your stomach."

Sarge glares at Skeeter and answers, "Sorry, but I'm afraid the princess will not be going anywhere with you."

"Come on, I promise I'll give you the share of the payment, if you know what's good for you," Skeeter says.

Sarge angrily says, "You're not getting her!"

"Hard way then," Skeeter says, and begins to fire his machine gun.

Sarge begins to dodge as he runs across the living room. Sarge climbs the wall and takes his guns that are hanging on the wall. Sarge dodges the bullets and fires his guns towards Skeeter. Skeeter dodges the bullets and fires back. Sarge fires his guns and dodges the attacks. Soon enough, both of them have run out of bullets. Skeeter then charges and pounces Sarge on the ground. Sarge then begins to punch Skeeter on the slide. Then manages to kick Skeeter off of him. Then Sarge manages to get on his feet. Skeeter soon does the same. Skeeter then brings out a sharp knife and evilly snicker. Sarge then brings out two of his knives. Then the two charge and cause a knife fight. They both clash their knives, and Skeeter manages to stab Sarge in the leg. Then Sarge punches Skeeter in the face. Then Sarge stabs Skeeter in the arm, making him scream in pain and anger. He becomes so mad that he kicks Sarge in the stomach, causing him to crash into his television, shattering it.

In Loona's closet, the young hellhound and young owl princess are hiding safely, but can hear the noises coming from it. Octavia is so scared that she's practically hugging Loona around the waist, and the hellhound can feel her ribs being a little crushed.

"Easy kid, you don't want to crush my ribs," Loona says.

"I'm sorry. I'm… I'm scared…" Octavia says, frightened.

He turns to Loona and asks, "Do you think your dad is going to be okay?"

"I'm sure he's fine. My dad is a great assassin, and will have this guy dead soon," Loona says.

Octavia hugs Loona in fear. Loona can tell Octavia is very scared, and wraps her arm around Octavia to comfort her.

Back in the living room, the fight continues like crazy. Sarge then grabs the lamp and uses it to smack Skeeter on the head. Skeeter stumbles. Then uses her tail to grab Sarge by the neck and throws him into the kitchen. Sarge sits up and looks to see Skeeter holding a chair over him and swings it down to hurt him. Sarge quickly doges and the chair hits the floor, breaking into pieces. Sarge is able to stand and grab one of the kitchen knives and uses it to stab Skeeter in the stomach. Then rams him to the wall. Skeeter then stabs Sarge in his stomach, and is pushed back. Then the two Imps begin punching and kicking each other with full force.

Just outside of the apartment building, the portal opens and Stolas walks outside and looks at the apartment building in Imp City. Andrealphus and Stella could have come, but Stolas wants to deal with this himself.

"Hmm, so this is the apartment this Imp, Sarge lives," Stolas replies, "I hope Sarge is keeping my daughter safe."

Stolas walks inside the apartment and soon reaches the fourth floor and walks down the hall. As they reach the fourth floor, they soon hear loud noises, like crashes, and screaming.

"I have a feeling I'm in the right place," Stolas says to himself, and walks towards the room.

In the apartment, Sarge manages to kick and punch Skeeter even though Skeeter has stabbed him in the arm. Then Skeeter punches him in the face, causing him to fall. Skeeter is about to stab Sarge, but Sarge is able to kick the knife off his hand, flies and stabs into the wall outside of the apartment, causing the two royal's attention. Then Sarge stands up, grabs Skeeter by his arms and flips him over, causing him to crash to the ground. Skeeter and Sarge struggle to stay on their feet. Although, Sarge seems to have more of the advantage.

Skeeter coughs out blood and mutters, "Fuck."

Then glares at Sarge, "If you think I'm going to let you get away from this, after I paid for you to kill those assholes."

"Consider it off, even if I've already killed the targets. However, what you and your colleagues have done is considered worse than a simple hit. You and your accomplices abducted a Goeita child. I suspected that your group turned on you to act as a decoy. You want me to kill those guys so you can avoid doing it yourself. Then try to kill me or force me to give you the young princess," Sarge says, and holds out his knife and prepares to kill him.

Skeeter snickers, "Well, aren't you smart. That's right, my pals and I were simply hired to kidnap Stolas' annoying little brat for our client to use as a test subject."

Just then, Skeeter reaches into the back of his pants and pulls out a gun that is black with glowing white patterns. Sarge glares at him and the gun and knows exactly what it is.

"And now it seems that you're a little weak to keep fighting. Say goodbye Sarge, because you won't be seeing the princess or that kid of yours." Skeeter says.

Skeeter plans to fire his gun, but something catches his attention, something that has him deeply frightened. Sarge arches an eyebrow with a confused look, and wonders what's the expression on his face.

Before he can think of a reason, someone questions, "Is that so?" and a black claw hand calmly sits on Sarge's shoulder, "I suppose this saved me the trouble of interrogating you on your crimes against my daughter."

To Skeeter's shock and fear, he sees Prince Stolas right behind Sarge as his hand on Sarge's shoulder. Sarge turns his head to see the Goetia Prince Stolas.

Stolas then turns to Sarge, "Your name is Sarge, correct?"

"Yes sir," Sarge calmly says.

Stolas nods his head and says, "I shall thank you properly. Now, I suggest you go and check on our daughters, and remain there until I call you. I will handle this Imp accordingly."

"Of course," Sarge replies.

Sarge then walks to Loona's room, opens it, walks inside, and closes the door.

Stolas then turns to Skeeter with glowing red eyes, "Now then, what was it about sending my daughter to your client to be used as a test subject."

Skeeter shakes with fear in his eyes, and panics, "I… My friends and I were hired from this group who wanted to use your kid in some experiment. They want to test it on a high class demon to see if this serum works on an Ars Goetia. They never told me what it does, but they think it will be a good idea for them to test it on your kid. I don't know the demon who hired me specifically, but said that they used to belong to some organization. That's all I know… I swear! I swear!"

Just then, Stolas eyes open wide and Skeeter becomes petrified and turned into stone. He then lifts his left claws and uses his magic to levitate the petrified Imp in the air. With a hard clench of his claws, Skeeter has been shattered into dust. Stolas continues to show a vicious glare as he drops the shattered dust to the ground.

In the matter of seconds, Stolas calms down and turns to the door, "Alright, you can come out now."

The door opens and Sarge walks out with Octavia in his arms, and Loona closes behind.

"Woah. Our place is a wreck," Loona says.

"Yes. I have a lot of cleaning to do," Sarge says.

Then turns to Octavia, "Hey Via, someone is here to see you."

Octavia turns her head to see Stolas, and is more than happy to see him.

She cries out, "Daddy!"

"Oh Via," Stolas says, relieved.

Stolas picks up Octavia and holds her in his arms.

Octavia cries as she hugs her dad, "Daddy… I was scared! I was really really scared."

Stolas gently pats her back and says in a kind and caring voice, "There there, Via. It's okay. You're okay. Daddy's here."

Sarge and Loona look at Stolas who is very relieved to have his daughter back.

Flashback End:

"After having Octavia back, I was very grateful for what Sarge had done that I decided to pay for the damages done to his apartment. And since Octavia has taken a liking to Loona, we agreed to let them stay friends and hang out every once in a while," Stolas says.

"And of course, you decided to give me a job as your bodyguard when you needed it. Of course, it took some time to convince your wife to let Loona and I visit your place," Sarge says.

Stolas nervously chuckles, "Um yes. It took a lot of convincing that I also had to tell her that Loona is her personal guard."

"I'm still surprised mom was able to agree to that," Octavia says with slight laughter.

Loona shrugs her shoulders, "At least it worked. Since then, you and I have become friends, and show you some cool stuff."

"That was a nice story, and you two have been friends ever since," Blitz says.

"Yes it has. Of course many years later I kind of allowed Sarge to use my grimoire for his company, as long as he's careful on choosing his targets, and to make sure he gets human disguises so no human will identify them as demons," Stolas says.

"And of course, the company has grown, but we still perform bodyguard duty for Stolas and his family every now and then," Sarge says.

Then says, "Let's just hope that the next bodyguard duty we work at doesn't end up like the Loo Loo Land fiasco."

Razor groans in frustration, "Don't remind me." and covers his face with his cap.

Everyone soon begins laughing.

Then Moxxie asks, "So where you able to find out about this organization who wanted to us the princess as a test subject?"

"I'm afraid not. With the Imp group dead and little information about this organization, we have no way of tracking them down," Sarge says.

"And we did everything we could, but we haven't any leads to who they were and what serum Skeeter was talking about," Stolas says.

"It will be very hard after twelve years has passed," Drew says.

"I know, but I've been working on the case for a long time, and I will find this organization and learn more about this serum they were planning on use on Octavia," Sarge says, sounding determined.

Mimmy looks outside the window, "Look daddy, it stops raining."

Blitz looks outside to see the rain has stopped and it's dark outside in Hell.

"You're right, but it's very dark outside," Blitz says.

And soon, Mimmy lets out a yawn.

"And it looks like It's time for you to go to bed," Blitz says.

Loona yawns, "I think I'm going to turn in too. That rain just made me sleepy."

"Me too," Octavia says.

"Well then, come on, let's get you three to bed," Sarge says.

And sometime later, Loona and Mimmy are sleeping with Octavia in her room. The three happily sleep as they wait for a new day to come. The three seem like they're close enough that they're almost sisters.
