One week later

King Hugo

It had been a week, and today was finally the engagement dinner party, and things weren't going well. That night, Sofia found out what was happening, but it didn't end well at all.

Flashback

"Which is why it's better to have the enemy closer," I said, smirking at William as he nodded.

"So, in other words, William is being used as bait?" Asked Elizabeth as Sofia gasped.

"Hugo, we can't allow that!" She said as I looked at William, shaking his head.

"Mom, it's fine. I don't mind; besides, it's for the kingdom," he said as she shook her head.

"No, I will not allow this, and that is my final word! If you'll excuse me, I lost my appetite," she said, standing up and walking away.

It was then William turned to face me, upset, as I smiled slightly.

"I'll go talk to your mother," I said, standing up and heading toward her.

"Dad, don't stop it. I want to do this," he said as I raised my eyebrow at him.

"Are you sure?" I asked as he nodded.

"Alright, then. Thank you, son," I said, smiling before going after Sofia.

'If I didn't know any better, I think she would be outside the balcony in our room.' I thought as I headed to our room.

Once I arrived, I immediately saw that the door to our balcony was open, and I headed in her direction.

As I got closer, I saw her looking up at the stars as I walked to her and hugged her from the back as she took a deep breath and relaxed.

"Why?" She asked as I sighed, knowing exactly what she was referring to.

"Because it has to be done this way," I said as she turned around and looked at me, upset.

"No, it doesn't. You're making it be this way," she said, stepping back from my hug as I frowned, upset.

"Sof," I started, but she cut me off.

"Don't Sof, me Hugo!" She exclaimed as she walked inside, and I followed her.

"You didn't have a problem with it earlier. Why now?" I asked her, confused.

"Because I don't want my son to be used as bait!" She exclaimed as I sighed.

"I don't want that for our son either, but what choice do we have? Sof, our kingdom is in trouble, and he wants to help," I said as she shook her head.

"He's just a boy," she said as I smiled and shook my head.

"Sof, our son is 20 years old. He's a grown man whom I am proud to call our son," I said as she continued to look upset.

"Look how much he has grown. He's like you when you were his age: determined, brave, and smart," I said as she began to lose her guard.

"I am proud of him for showing that, but I am his Mother. I want what's best for him," she said as I frowned, confused.

"And I don't?" I asked as she sighed.

"I didn't understand my Mom and why she worried all the time when I was young until I became one myself," she said as I thought momentarily.

"I don't want my son to be used as bait, and that is my final word," she said, crossing her arms.

"Well, I am sorry to disappoint you, Sof, but this wedding is happening, and we're having the engagement dinner in one week," I said as she turned away.

"With or without your approval, William will be doing this on my orders and his own will," I said as she looked at me angrily.

"You're unbelievable, but it's not the first time you made a decision without my approval, and it won't be the last," she said, walking away upset.

End of flashback

Since that argument, things have been a bit frosty between Sofia and me.

She has refused to speak to me unless our children or Dad are around, even though he senses the tension around us.

I have tried apologizing to Sofia, but she has yet to speak to me; I guess you could say I am in the dog house and have been for a week.

If I'm being honest, I am going crazy. This has been the biggest argument we have had in years after what happened because of Frederick.

Dad and Axel have told me to give her space, and I have, but I must admit this was really hard.

I felt like I was living a lie with my children and the people; as I said, she only speaks to me when they're around for appearances.

However, I could tell William was starting to suspect because he was the only one asking me questions about Sofia and me.

Elizabeth and Edward stick to their own rules, but that doesn't mean they haven't suspected anything.

The day after the argument, I announced we would have an engagement dinner for William and Princess Rosalie in a week.

I haven't yet announced to the kingdoms about the betrothed because I thought it would be better to wait after the dinner.

In case there was a problem, and this arrangement was canceled, not from our end but from Ricardo's.

I knew my son, and he was going through this no matter what; the kingdom was in trouble, and he was going to do everything in his will to protect us.

He has grown so much. He reminds me of Sofia and me. He's very persistent and brave.

"Daddy?" Said a familiar voice, snapping me out of my thoughts as I saw Elizabeth entering my office.

"Sunshine, what are you doing here?" I asked her, smiling and getting up to hug her.

"Mom, send me to come and get you," she said as I frowned, confused.

"Why?" I asked, confused, as she giggled.

"Daddy, it's time to change; our guest will be here soon," she said as my eyes widened, and I looked at the clock.

"It seems you're right; I must have forgotten or lost track of time," I said as she smiled.

"Before we go, can I talk with you, Daddy?" She asked as I smiled and nodded.

"Of course, princess. What's on your mind?" I asked her as we sat on the couch I have in the office.

"It's about Mom," she said as my eyes widened slightly.

"What about her?" I asked as she smiled slightly at me.

"Daddy, I know you and Mom are slightly distant because of your different views on William's engagement," she started as I sighed.

"Elizabeth," I started, but she shook her head and cut me off.

"All I want you to know is that I support you and love you no matter what happens, Daddy," she said as my eyes widened.

"Mom doesn't see that what William is doing is for the good of our country because she sees him through Mother's eyes," she said as I smiled.

"But knowing Mom, she will eventually see it herself and come around," she said as I smiled at her.

"In other words, give her time," I said as she nodded.

"You don't have to wait too much, Daddy. She's breaking her walls down quickly," she said, smiling as I frowned at her.

"What did you do, sunshine?" I asked her as she smiled.

"I may have reminded Mom what she was doing at William's age and how that helped her in the long run," she said as I smiled.

"And how she worried GrandMum a lot, but she had you, and in the end, you guys are here ruling Whelsire with success," she said as I frowned, confused.

"You think we're succeeding?" I asked her, surprised as she laughed.

"Daddy, sarcasm doesn't suit you, and I thought Mom told you that," she said, giggling as I rolled my eyes.

"Alright, alright," I said before hugging my daughter.

"Thank you, sunshine. What would I do without you?" I said as she hugged me in return and giggled.

"What do you mean? I'm always going to be here," she said, smiling as we parted, and I smiled.

"You know what? You're right; you don't need a Prince, Sunshine," I said as she nodded happily.

"I have my daddy for that," she said, smiling as I nodded.

I must admit, I didn't understand what Axel meant when he said daughters are better than sons.

That was until I had a daughter of my own. Sons are fun to play with, but a daughter is something else.

From day one, she became my princess, my sunshine, my little warrior, who stole my heart, and I'll be damned if anyone dared to hurt her.

I knew that eventually, there would be days she would have to fly, but I dreaded that day. Lucky for me, Elizabeth isn't too fond of that.

But then again, that should worry me because she is a bit like William and me in that situation.

Although she will be okay, I will not force her if she doesn't want to settle.

"Come on, Daddy. I have strict orders from Mom," she said as I smiled, and we got up.

"Let's go then," I said as she giggled, and we left my office to get dressed for the evening.

"Your birthday is coming up, sunshine. Is there anything in particular?" I asked her as she thought momentarily.

"Actually, I have Daddy; I want a masquerade ball," she said as I looked at her, surprised.

"Really?" I asked as she nodded.

"Alright then, that's what you'll have, princess," I said as she smiled.

"My, my. My children are all growing up so fast," I said, smiling as she nodded.

"William's dinner engagement, Edward's graduation, and my sweet sixteen," she said as I nodded.

"But it will be a while, Daddy, don't worry," she said as I nodded.

Once we arrived at her room, I hugged her before she went inside to change, and I headed to my room.

I must be honest; I paced for a bit once I arrived and almost didn't want to go inside.

'Alright, here we go.' I thought as I walked inside and saw Sofia sitting on her vanity, brushing her hair.

I smiled at her before heading to the bathroom to shower and get ready.

Once I was done, I walked out in my robes and headed to the closet to find clothes for the evening.

I decided to go formal and picked out gray pants, a white shirt with a red tie, and a black coat with matching boots.

After putting on my boots, I began to walk out of the closet. I was going to head out while fixing my tie, but I stopped once I heard a familiar voice.

"Hugo," said Sofia as I stopped and turned to look at her.

"Yes, Sof?" I asked her as she walked towards me before placing her hands around, which caused me to frown.

"I am sorry, Hugo," she said, hugging me. My eyes widened, and I began to shake my head as I hugged her.

"No, I'm sorry, Sof. I should have told you the truth behind all of this. Maybe you would have been more prepared," I said as she shook her head.

"No, I don't think I would have if I'm being honest," she said, pulling slightly away so I could see her beautiful eyes and smile.

It was amazing to see her beautiful smile and happy eyes again. If I'm being honest, I thought I would never get to see them again.

"I get it, though. A Mother will always worry about her child no matter the age," I said, caressing her cheek as she smiled.

"Still, it wasn't fair that I took out my anger on you when there wasn't anything you could do about it," she said as I smiled.

She wasn't wrong. William was over the age where he could make his own decisions, and he insisted on this decision.

"Well, it was torture having you close yet so far," I said, smiling at her as she smirked at me.

"It was torture for me as well," she said as I raised my eyebrow at her.

"Oh, really?" I asked, smirking as she smiled and nodded.

"Is there any way I can make it up to you?" She asked as I smiled at her.

"Well, now that you mentioned it," I started but stopped and smirked at her as she giggled, knowing exactly what I meant.

Within seconds, our lips clashed, and we shared a passionate kiss that could easily lead to us being late.

Sof must have had the same thought as I because once we pulled away, she smiled and nodded.

"Later tonight," I said as she nodded.

"Then we'll see how much you really missed me, dear husband," she said, smirking, which caused me to chuckle.

"Oh, you'll see indeed, dear wife," I said, brushing her hair aside from her face as she giggled.

"Are you ready?" I asked her as she sighed and nodded.

"As I'll ever be," she said, slightly smiling as I smiled at her.

"From the last time I saw her, she doesn't seem all that bad," I said as she shrugged.

"Guess we'll find out today," she said as I nodded and we left our room.

As Sofia and I walked down, we noticed many of our family members began to join us. We were going to wait for their arrival outside.

"Good to see you two happy again," said Dad as Sofia and I smiled before Edward and Elizabeth joined us.

"You guys ready?" Asked Sofia as they smiled and nodded.

"Yes!" Exclaimed Elizabeth with joy.

"Where is Edward?" Asked Sofia as I looked around and noticed he wasn't with us.

'Odd?' I thought to myself as I frowned slightly.

"He's still getting ready; he was almost done when I checked on him," said Edward as I nodded.

Once we all arrived at the door, we waited for King Ricardo and William.

"Hopefully, William gets here before the royal family arrives," said Elizabeth.

"You mean King Ricardo and his daughter," said Edward.

"Same thing," said Elizabeth as I couldn't help but chuckle.

"William is always on time; I'm sure he will be here on time," said Sofia as I nodded.

"Sorry for the delay. Here I am," said William as we all turned to face him, walking towards us.

"Are you ready?" I asked him, smiling as he smiled proudly and nodded.

"Yes," he said, smiling as I smiled at him.

"Are you sure?" Asked Sofia as he nodded.

"Alright, good luck, my darling, and I hope this works well for you," said Sofia, hugging him as he returned the hug.

"Thanks, Mom," he said, smiling at her as they parted.

Then we heard the sound of horses and looked up to see a flying carriage preparing to land as I looked at my family, nodding.

'Here we go,' I thought, taking a deep breath while the carriage landed.

'Please let this not be a waste,' I thought as I saw King Ricardo exit the carriage and smile at me before helping his daughter out.

Princess Rosalie

Today was the day of my engagement dinner party; today, I was finally going to meet my fiancé. If I'm being honest, I felt extremely nervous and scared at the same time.

I wanted to know from the beginning but knew that if I asked my Father, he would have never given me an answer, so I never asked him and wondered all week.

Since I was going to be thrown away by him soon, I thought he would have stopped the abuse, but was I wrong.

It almost seemed he was preparing for my final beatings because these were terrible; if I thought before was bad, this week was truly hell.

Every single day, I would get slapped, punched, kicked, and tossed while I accepted it. At least I got all my meals full, but what good was it if I was rarely hungry because of the beatings.

My face was almost fully healed from the beatings. The only thing being covered by makeup was a small cut on my forehead.

I was more worried about the bruise, but makeup seemed to cover it wonderfully, leaving no trace.

While my arms were another thing, from the top of my arm to my wrist, both my arms were covered in bruises.

Some were new, and some were old, ugly shares of green and black. I had some that were fading away, but lots more new ones were appearing.

The good thing is that I was to wear a long-sleeved dress, and my hair would be loose to ensure I would cover up what doesn't need to be seen.

"There, we're done with the shower. Why don't you wait outside while I choose you a dress"? Said Celeste as I nodded.

We headed out of the bathroom, and I went to my vanity and began applying makeup to hide my bruises and cut quickly.

Once I quickly finished, she brought me a dress for today's dinner. It was a long, puffed, sleeved mint and pink dress covered in pink roses with pink shoes.

"Thank you, Celeste. It's stunning," I said, and she smiled at me as I sat on my vanity chair.

"Let me apply a bit more makeup here," she said as she applied more on my head near the cut.

"There, now your hair," she said as I smiled.

"I'd like to keep it simple," I said, smiling as she nodded.

"I'll brush it and leave it with your long curls," she said as I nodded.

Once she brushed my hair, she quickly placed a silver opal flower tiara on my head as I sighed.

"It's your Father's orders," she said as I smiled slightly and nodded.

"I understand," I said as she smiled and hugged me from behind.

"Are you ready?" She asked as I sighed and nodded.

"As ready as I'll ever be," I said as she smiled and helped me up from my seat. Then, I began to walk towards the door.

Once I stepped outside, I saw that many of the maids entered my room and began to walk around quickly.

'What the heck? Why are they running around my room?' I thought as I looked over to Celeste.

"Do you know why many minds walked in after we walked out?" I asked her as she shrugged.

"Maybe to clean up, don't worry about that, darling," she said, and I couldn't help but wonder.

That could be true, but what got me slightly worried was that there were a lot, and usually, I would have just one or two go in to clean my room.

Once we reached the castle doors, I saw my Father waiting for me with our steward.

"The order was given, and once they are done, I will send them, Your Majesty," he said as my Father smiled.

"Perfect, Rosalie. Are you ready to go?" He asked as I nodded.

'Not like I have a choice.' I thought as he inspected me.

"Looks good. Let's head over to the carriage; we don't want to be late," he said, walking as I followed him.

"Good luck," whispered Celeste as I smiled at her and nodded before stepping inside the carriage, followed by my Father.

As soon as the door was closed, the carriage took off, not giving us a moment to settle in.

Within seconds, we were in the sky, and when I looked outside the window, I noticed the kingdom of Amathest.

I never called it my home because it never felt like home, not even when I lived with my Aunt.

The kingdom always felt like a prison. What made it feel different was my Aunt; after her death, this place became a nightmare.

Still, part of me felt like this would be the last time I would see this place.

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing since I have yet to know who I am being betrothed to.

"What are your expectations again, Rosalie?" he asked as I sat up straight.

"Don't talk unless addressed by you; smile and be invisible," I said, looking at him blankly as he smiled.

"Perfect, but we aren't attending a social gathering. This is your engagement dinner party, so you are to be slightly different," he said as I frowned, confused.

"You are to smile, greet, and talk if spoken to by your fiancé or his royal family," he said as I blinked several times before frowning, confused.

This….This is a joke, right? I mean, he would never let me talk to others unless he approved.

Why would he want me to be different? And what does he mean by my fiancé's royal family? Does he have siblings? Parents?

I had so many questions that were making my head hurt and feel slightly dizzy.

"Try to be a girl, in other words, those bubbly ones instead of the stuck-up ones, got it?" He said firmly as I nodded.

Bubbly? Did he say the word bubbly? How can I be bubbly after everything?

I don't believe in someone acting that way. If I am being honest, I think that is something you read about in fairytales.

Then again, I was used to my Father using me as his trained puppet; whatever he said was complete, and if not, he would force me.

Many of his friends said it was manipulation, but it wasn't. This was straight abuse, but since they didn't see, they wouldn't know the difference.

I couldn't help but wonder why my Father wanted me to play someone I wasn't. Then again, who's to say I am not like that?

When I lived with my Aunt, I was certainly different than who I am now; maybe If my Aunt hadn't died, I would still be different with her.

I looked at the window and then away before slightly looking outside again as my eyes widened.

'No, no, no, no, this can't be….This is the exact same place we came to almost three weeks ago; Whelsire, I think, is what it's called.' I thought momentarily.

I tried to hide my slight satisfaction about being back in this beautiful kingdom. Ever since I first saw it, I couldn't help but admire it.

It was late October, and the leaves had already fallen. The wind was swinging them around, almost like magic.

'I wonder what this place looks like during the winter? It must look like a beautiful winter wonderland.' I thought momentarily.

I couldn't help but smile slightly. My heart began to skip a beat as I thought of something.

'Shit! If we're here, that would mean I am betrothed to the crowned prince of Whelsire. Prince William.' I thought as the carriage dove in before stopping.

"Remember what I said," whispered Father sternly as I swallowed hard. I nodded, and he smiled and opened the door.

Once he stepped out of the carriage, he offered me his hand, and I took it, walking out to see the royal family.

"You are to smile, greet, and talk if spoken to by your fiancé or his royal family,"

"King Ricardo," Said King Hugo as he and his wife smiled at us.

"King Hugo, Queen Sofia, Garrick," said my Father, bowing as I curtseyed before standing up straight, smiling at them.

"King Ricardo, a pleasure to see you here," said Garrick.

"Likewise, Garrick, I see retirement is treating you well," said my Father as he nodded.

"Thank you so much for having us," said my Father as the Queen smiled.

"It is our pleasure; thank you for accepting the invitation," said the Queen, smiling, as I couldn't help but look at the royal family.

"Since you know my Father, let me introduce you to my second oldest son, Edward, and daughter, Elizabeth," said King Hugo as my Dad bowed slightly.

"I am pleased to meet you all," he said as I curtseyed and smiled.

"This is my daughter, Rosalie," he said as I smiled.

"It's a Pleasure to meet you, dear. Why don't we head inside? Dinner should be ready soon, and we can talk while we wait," said the Queen as we nodded.

King Hugo, the Queen, and the youngest children walked in front of my Father and me while William walked behind us with his GrandDad.

Ever since we got here he wouldn't let his gaze of me, which made me feel something strange. Once we arrived at the dining room, I was slightly startled by the seating arrangements.

The King always took the head while the Queen took the right side, followed by the children.

Since my Father was a royal guest, I think he might take the left side of the King, meaning I would be in front of William.

Then again, it could be different since King Hugo's Father was also dining with us.

Once we arrived, the King took the head seat while the Queen, Edward, Elizabeth, and the former King were on his right.

While on the King's left were my Father, me, and William. This was going to be interesting.

"What was your name again princess?" Asked my Father as she smiled.

"Elizabeth, Your Majesty," she said, smiling as my Father looked at King Hugo, then his Father.

"Wasn't that the name of the former late queen of Whelsire?" Asked my Father as I couldn't help but slightly shake my head.

'Really, Dad? What the hell? Everyone knew that you were just trying to be insensitive here.' I thought, slightly biting my lips.

I looked up to see Garrick, and I could see William staring at me from the corner of my eye.

"Yes," said Garrick as I smiled.

"We decided to name her after her GrandMum since she looks a lot like her," said the Queen as King Hugo nodded.

"I'd say she looks a bit like you, my queen," he said as my eyes widened.

"Thank you, but she does have a bit of her Father's as well," said the Queen as I turned to see Elizabeth roll her eyes.

"What about you, my dear? What do you like to do?" Asked Garrick as I smiled and panicked slightly.

"Try to be a girl, in other words, those bubbly ones instead of the stuck-up ones, got it?"

"I mostly read and paint," I said as my Father lifted my hands up.

"Oh, come on, Rosalie. Tell them how fantastic a seamstress you are," said my Father, smiling as I smiled nervously.

"You sew?" Asked the Queen as I nodded.

"From a young age, I learned to," I said as she smiled.

"Do you play sports? Or do ice dancing?" Asked Elizabeth as I shook my head, smiling.

"I do not, princess," I said, slightly smiling, upset, trying to hide my joy.

"Then I don't see how those two are going to get along. I don't think they have anything in common," said Elizabeth, and the Queen looked shocked.

"Elizabeth!" She exclaimed as she smiled and shrugged.

"They don't have to like the same things, my dear; just get along," said my Father as she raised her eyebrow.

"This will be a happy union, that I am sure, especially for the good of our kingdoms. Right?" Said William as he took hold of my hand and looked at me.

"Right," I said, smiling as his parents smiled proudly.

Soon enough, the doors opened to reveal the maids with our food, and I will be honest: never in my life had I seen food look this amazing.

I looked at William and almost wanted to ask what it was, but it would have blown my Father's cover.

"For tonight's dinner, we have decided to serve lobster pasta," said William, and my eyes widened.

"I hope that is alright; we didn't know if you had any allergies to anything," said the Queen as I smiled and shook my head.

"No, it's alright," I said as she smiled.

I will not lie; when I took a bite of this pasta, I felt like I was in heaven; this was amazing.

"What school did you graduate from?" Asked King Hugo as my eyes widened slightly.

"I was homeschooled all my life, Your Majesty, but my courses were the same as Ever Realm Academy," I said as he nodded.

"Just like the queen and my Grandson," said Garrick as I smiled.

"Why did you homeschool, darling?" asked the Queen as I slightly turned my eyes towards my Father before looking at the Queen.

"That was my fault, my dear queen; you see after I lost my dear wife, I couldn't let anything happen to my daughter," he said slightly, padding my head as I smiled.

'Oh, brother.' I thought as I mentally rolled my eyes since I couldn't do it in front of everyone here.

"I guess you could say I became very protective of my dear Rosalie," he said, smiling.

At least my Father has impressive acting skills; everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie everyone believes.

"So, you didn't have any friends growing up?" Asked Edward as I shook my head.

"You can be my friend; after all, you're about to become my sister-in-law soon," said Elizabeth as I smiled at her.

"Thank you, princess," I said as she smiled and shook her head.

"Elizabeth," she said, smiling as I nodded.

"Elizabeth," I said as she smiled, and we continued eating.

Soon enough, once we were done, we had dessert, and I must say that was amazing: molten chocolate lava cake.

"Your Majesty, it seems there is a visitor," said a man as the King turned to him confused.

"Thank you, Isaac. Do you know how it is?" He asked as my Father stood up.

"I think that may be for me if you and your son would follow me, please," said my Father as my eyes widened.

I looked at my Father, who shot me a glance and told me not to move and to stay right where I was.

Once the three of them were out of sight, I turned to look at the Queen, who was smiling at me.

"Did you enjoy dinner, darling?" Asked the Queen as I smiled and nodded.

"It was delicious; thank you so much, Your Majesty," I said as she smiled.

"Call me Sofia or even Mom, darling. We are to be family soon," she said, smiling as I nodded.

"Apart from reading, painting, and sewing, is there anything else you love to do?" Asked Edward.

'Horseback riding and flying derby, I love flying with my horse.' I thought as I shook my head.

"Not really. I wasn't allowed to do much outside or be active," I said as Elizabeth Frowned, confused.

"Why?" She asked as I tried to think of an excuse quickly.

"As my Father said, he was very protective and would worry a lot about my safety, so I did more calm activities," I said as they nodded.

It was then that my Father appeared with William and the King, and I couldn't help but look at them, worried.

"Rosalie, please come with me. I need to discuss something with you," said my Father as I nodded and stood up.

We were walking out of the dining room and stopped a few feet from its doors.

"Listen to me carefully, Rosalie, and do exactly as I say," he said as I looked at him confused.

"You are not going back with me," he said as my eyes widened.

"W-w-what?" I whispered so low, but my Father heard me and snickered at me.

"This is your home now; they have brought all your stuff," he said as I shook my head.

"You are to stay here now and begin your role as the new queen you will soon be; get to know your soon-to-be family and husband," he said.

No, no, this wasn't possible. How? Why was I to stay here? I thought I was to be here after the wedding, not before.

I…I didn't even say goodbye to Celeste; what will become of my horse, Lily?

"No, No, I can't. What do you mean I am to stay here?" I asked, confused and uncertain, as my Father raised his eyebrow.

"I can't stay here," I said as he quickly struck me. My face turned to the left as I brought my hand to my cheek and looked at him.

It was then that he repeated to strike me again as he gripped my arms tightly, knowing that this would bruise me later.

"What did you not understand about listening and doing exactly as I say, Rosalie?" He said as I closed my eyes so as not to see him.

"Listen to me, you little brat. I am not going to have you rebel against me. You are to do what I say, and I will hear none of this! Am I clear?" he said as I nodded.

"Am I clear?" He asked, gripping tighter to me.

"Yes!" I said, looking away from him.

"If you want to leave here, I suggest you let go of my fiancée," said a familiar voice, causing my eyes to widen as my Father and I looked at William standing there with crossed arms.

"Making threats, are we? Now, that is not any way to treat a family member like that," said my Father, smirking as he let go of one of my arms.

"Let her go, or I will have you thrown in the sellers," said William as my eyes widened.

"Careful now, boy. You wouldn't want this to be called off and have a war upon you for treating me," said my Father as William chuckled.

"King or not, you gave her to me a few minutes ago, and she is not your concern anymore," said William, and my eyes widened.

"My fiancée is the future Queen, and if you put your hands on her again, I don't care that you're her Father. I will lock you up," said William, standing in front of me looking at my Father.

I was the only thing separating my Father and William from standing very close to each other.

Then my Father let go of his grip as William took hold of my other free arm and pulled me behind him.

"She's your problem now," said My Father, smirking as William returned the smirk.

"Oh, don't worry. She won't be a problem, I'll make sure of that," said William as my eyes widened.

'Shit, if I thought my Father was terrible, what was waiting for me by William's side?' I thought, panicking.

"I think it's time for my farewell," said My Father as William nodded.

"Come," he said as my Father and I followed him.

Once we entered the dining room, we noticed everyone standing up and heading towards the door.

"Everything seems to be in order here, so I am off," said my Father as King Hugo and William nodded.

"It was wonderful having you here," said Garrick as my Father smiled.

"I hope to see you both soon," said the Queen as my Father shook his head.

"I will come as soon as I can, Your Majesty, but Rosalie will stay here," he said as everyone's eyes widened.

"What?!" Exclaimed everyone.

"I have many business meetings to attend, and I don't feel comfortable leaving my daughter alone. So, I asked the King if she could stay here while I am away," said my Father as they nodded.

"I had her stuff brought over, and I just talked with her about it, and it seems we all have agreed," said my Father as the Queen nodded.

"We'll await your return then," said King Hugo as my Father nodded.

"Please let us escort you," said Garrick as my Father shook his head.

"No need to Garrick, I know the way," he said as King Hugo shook his head.

"I insist," said King Hugo as my Father smiled and nodded.

"Alright then," he said before walking up to me and embracing me in a hug.

"I will see you as soon as I can, my Rosalie," said my Father, smiling as he pulled away as I nodded.

"Good night to you all," said my Father as everyone repeated as he, King Hugo, William, and Garrick disappeared with my Father.

I stood there with the Queen, Elizabeth, and Edward, wondering where I would go from here.

"Your Majesty," said a female voice as we all turned to see a lady.

"Her stuff is all settled in her new room," she said as the Queen nodded.

"Thank you, Izzie. Will you show her to her room?" the Queen said as she nodded.

"Of course, this way, my darling," she said as I nodded and followed.

As we roamed through the castle halls, I couldn't help but feel slightly odd. The castle was huge, bigger than the one I lived in, I believe.

I need to get to know this palace well, or I will seriously get lost. Once we reached a door, Izzie, I think is her name, stopped and turned to look at me smiling.

"This will be your room, my darling," she said as she opened the door. We walked inside to a mini living room and saw another set of doors.

"Here you have your little mini living room that is connected to the doors of your room," she said as I looked around.

As soon as I walked in, I saw a fireplace on the right side and a white couch on the left, which was mixed purple and green.

Once she opened the door to reveal my room, my eyes widened at the beautiful room.

It was a teal-blue room with a white canopy bed, dresser, vanity, and nightstand. Walking in, I noticed the bed sheets and pillows were all teal blue.

How did they know? It's weird, but it's as if they knew that teal blue was my favorite color.

"The bathroom is to your left, and the closet is next to your luggage," she said as I turned left and noticed my luggage standing outside a door.

As I walked to my luggage, a door was to my left and in front of me; I turned to look at Izzie before opening the left door.

Once I opened it, it revealed a big closet filled with many familiar dresses. My eyes widened, and I heard footsteps.

"We took the liberty of organizing your clothes for you and adding a few more. I hope that's alright?" Izzie asked as I nodded.

"Of course, thank you so much, Izzie," I said as she nodded.

"If you need anything, pull this rope, and someone will be at your service," said Izzie as I nodded.

"Thank you," I said as she smiled.

"I will let you settle then. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask," she said, waving. I nodded and waved at her.

As soon as she closed the door, I noticed something that excited me: I had a window seat.

I quickly walked over to it, took a seat, and opened the door as I felt a cool breeze hit me as I smiled.

Just then, there was a knock at the door, which startled me for a moment before I frowned.

'W-was that a knock?' I thought to myself as I waited, and there it was again the knock.

"Come in," I said so low that I thought the voice couldn't hear me.

I was about to get up and open the door when they slung open, making me turn to see a familiar pair of green eyes; it was then that I felt it again.

My heart skipped a beat repeatedly, and I wondered if it was really loud or if it was my imagination.

'Shit, shit.' I thought; my heart skipped a beat as he got closer and stood before me.
