Transformers Prime: The Medic's Assistant

Chapter 56: Rematch

Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Prime

Soon Saturday evening came. Stormracer wasted no time getting to the racetrack as she drove through the ground bridge portal. She looked around but saw no sign of Knock Out anywhere.

She transformed into her bot mode and looked at the track. "Looks like I got here first," she told herself.

"Boo!" a voice whispered in her audio receptor.

Stormracer shrieked in terror before turning around to see Knock Out grinning at her. She held back a laugh as she threatened to strangle him. "WHY?!"

"Because I can," he cheekily said.

Stormracer ended up releasing the laugh. "Did you wait long?"

"Not really," he said, "I got here a couple minutes ago. How was your day?"

"Great!" she said, "you remember that hologram projector I had when we were fighting Airachnid? I finally finished it! No more glitches or anything!"

"I'd say congratulations, but I'm assuming you'll be using it against my team?" he asked.

She chuckled. "Don't worry. I'll try not to use it against you... Maybe." She said the last part with a grin.

"Oh goody," Knock Out said as he rolled his optics.

The femme chuckled. "What about you? How was your day?"

The doctor thought back on what he did earlier. Patched up a couple vehicons, tortured Cylas, worked on the SynthEn...

"It was good," he answered, "didn't really do much." He then started stretching his arms. "So, ready to race?"

Stormracer grinned. "Totally! Just don't take it personally when I beat you."

"Ha!" the Decepticon laughed as he put his servos on his hips, "In your dreams, Stormy. Though if you like, I can go easy on you. Just so you don't hurt yourself again."

"Hey, that pothole came out of nowhere!" she exclaimed.

"Uh huh, sure it did," he chuckled.

"Well, no pothole is going to stop me this time," she swore.

Knock Out thought of something then smirked. "Here's an idea. Why don't we make it interesting? Let's make a bet."

"A bet?" Stormracer asked questionably.

"Yes. If I win, you have to give me something."

"Like what?"

"Not going to say," he said with a mischievous smirk.

Stormracer gave him a look, wondering what he had in mind. Thinking of what she wanted, she smirked back at him. "Alright. But if I win... next meet up will be in Norway."

Knock Out's grin disappeared as he raised his optical ridge at her. "Norway? What's in Norway?"

"Hm, mostly just snow," she said.

The Decepticon's optics widened in disbelief. "Now why in the Allspark would you want to go there?!"

"Sorry, not going to say," she said with a grin.

Knock Out felt a chill as he thought about having to go to a cold location. Thinking it over, he grinned at her. "Deal."

Both shook on it.

"And no cheating," Stormracer told him with a stern look.

Knock Out pretended to be offended. "Why Stormy! You cut me to the quick."

"Just making sure," she said as they stepped onto the track.

Transforming into their vehicle forms, they drove up to the starting line.

"We go on three," Knock Out said.

"Whaat?" Stormracer asked in disbelief, "you're not going to give yourself a head start?"

"Oh, I don't need a head start. Care to do the honors?"

Stormracer smirked as she started the countdown. "One... two... three!"

The two sped over the start line and shot down the track.

Stormracer drifted around the corners with Knock Out behind her. He didn't bother trying to get past her as he stuck close behind.

"Am I too fast for you?!" the femme asked teasingly.

"I'm just letting you think you're winning!" he answered casually.

"We'll see about that!"

Stormracer managed to stay ahead for the first four laps. But once they reached the final lap, Knock Out accelerated and got beside her. The two were neck to neck as they swerved around the turns. Soon it was a straight shot for the finish line. Both cars gunned it, trying to go faster than the other. Stormracer thought she was actually going to win as she started taking the lead.

Driving closer to her, Knock Out spoke.

"If I win... you have to give me a kiss!"

Stormracer nearly lost control soon as those words left him. She blushed so hard in her vehicle form that she accidentally decelerated. This gave the Decepticon the advantage he needed.

Speeding passed the Autobot, Knock Out was the first to cross the finish line, making him the winner. He triumphantly honked his horn as he spun around and did a victory donut.

Stormracer transformed once she crossed the finish line and frowned at the con. "Now that was a dirty trick!"

Knock Out transformed and grinned at her. "What? Not my fault you easily get flustered."

Stormracer's face heated up. "I wasn't flustered! I was... you caught me off... I said no cheating!"

"Wasn't cheating," he said, still grinning, "I just outwitted you. Now about that kiss."

Stormracer blushed like crazy. "Wait, for real?!"

"Why not?" he asked, "you did it before, remember?"

"Yeah, but that was... and this is... I just... why did you wait and tell me now?!"

"And miss the look on your face?" he asked with a mischievous smirk.

Stormracer groaned as she hid her face with her servo. "You really are a jerk, you know that?"

"And yet you keep coming back to see me. Gee, I wonder why?"

Stormracer frowned as she looked back at him. "You know why."

He shrugged. "I don't know," he sang, "You've been blushing a lot lately."

"Have not!"

"You're doing it right now."

Stormracer turned her head away as her face blushed even more. "I'm not blushing! It's probably just allergies."

"Uh huh, sure," Knock Out said as he folded his arms. "What are you allergic to? Flirting?"

Stormracer had to fully turn around as her face grew darker. "No! I mean... it's a possibility maybe. I can't think of a scientific term for it but there's probably one yet to be discovered."

Knock Out laughed at her response. "Think again, Stormy."

Stormracer kept blushing as she glanced at him over her shoulder. Just then they heard a police siren as red and blue lights appeared out of nowhere. Both looked over to see a police cruiser heading their way.

"Scrap!" Stormracer exclaimed.

"Ugh, not again," Knock Out groaned.

The two transformed and drove out of the area. They soon found themselves being chased by the police car as they drove off the property and down the road. They sped away as fast as they could, but the cop refused to give up.

"You know, it would be a lot simpler to just bump the fleshling off the road!" Knock Out shouted at Stormracer.

"We will do no such thing!" she sternly argued.

The two managed to gain some distance as they made a quick turn. There they see a scrapyard up ahead with tall, welded scrap metal statues displayed along the gate. Looking at the statues, Stormracer got an idea.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" she asked Knock Out.

"Someone has way too much free time on their hands?" he asked.

"What? No! Follow me."

Knock Out followed behind her as they drove to the scrapyard.

Soon the police car appeared from around the corner with its siren still going. Seeing no sign of the vehicles, the cop drove over to the scrapyard, thinking they must have hidden in the area. All was quiet as he looked around at some of the old run downed rusty vehicles lined up.

He then reached the statues. There was a statue of the iron giant, the empire state building, a rocket ship, and a giant tree with metal scrap hanging from it. He then stopped and looked at the two new statues. They were robots with car parts on them. The first one was a teal fembot with parts of a sports car. The other a red mechbot with parts of an Aston Martin. Both statues looked forward as they stood there.

Seeing no sign of the racers, the cop drove off and continued his search.

Watching the cop speeding off, both Cybertronians relaxed as they sighed in relief.

"Can't believe that actually worked," Stormracer said.

Knock Out chuckled. "Humans are so gullible."

Just then they heard another vehicle approaching, making them freeze like statues again.

Driving from around the corner was a rusty white pick-up truck. The driver hummed along to the radio before looking over at the statues. Seeing two new ones, he drove up and stopped the truck. The man then stepped out to get a better look before whistling.

"Dang. Rhody out did himself this time." Thinking the statues looked amazing, he pulled out his cellphone and flipped it open. "Smile for the camera," he said as he went to take a picture.

Immediately Stormracer and Knock Out broke character. "NO!" both frantically exclaimed.

The man's eyes widened in horror once the statues came to life. Dropping his phone, he ended up fainting and fell flat on his back.

Both Cybertronians stared down at the unconscious human.

"Oops," Stormracer said.

"I think he handled it well," Knock Out said.

Making sure the coast was clear, Stormracer placed the human back into his truck while Knock Out picked up the human's cellphone and destroyed it between his thumb and index digit.

"Knock Out!" Stormracer scolded him.

"I'm not taking any chances," he told her as he flicked the broken phone away.

Once the human was safely back in his vehicle, the two transformed and drove out of there.

They didn't stop driving until they were deep in the woods. Once they knew they were far away from the highway, they transformed and vented in relief.

"Well, tonight's been eventful," Stormracer commented.

Knock Out chuckled. "For a second I thought I was going to have to squish that meat sack. One nice thing about humans is that they're easily disposable."

Not liking his comment, Stormracer shot him an angry glare.

Knock Out realized what he said and tried to correct himself. "Kidding," he said with a smirk.

The femme still glared at him, unimpressed. "That's not funny. And in case you've forgotten, one of my best friends is a human."

Knock Out dropped his smirk. He let out a vent. "My bad. I forgot you see them more than just pets."

Stormracer's frown only deepened. "Because they're not pets! They're sentient! Just because you see other beings below you, doesn't mean they are." She folded her arms as she turned around and walked a few feet away.

Knock Out watched as she stopped and stood there with her back turned to him. He didn't mean to upset her. Though he didn't care much for the humans, he had to remember Stormracer saw them as equals. After a moment of silence, he let out a vent and walked towards her.

"I'm sorry," he apologized, "I forgot how much humans mean to you. Can we forget I said any of that?"

Stormracer still frowned as she glanced at him over her shoulder. Finally, she let out a vent and turned around. "You're forgiven."

Knock Out softly smiled.

The two started walking through the woods. Wanting to break the awkward silence between them both, the Decepticon cleared his throat.

"I have to ask, why did you want us to go to Norway?" Knock Out asked.

Stormracer lightly chuckled. "I heard the northern lights there are amazing. I thought it would be nice if we both went to check it out."

Knock Out looked at her expression, seeing it was something she really wanted to experience. Thinking it over, he smirked. "Well, why don't we plan a meeting there?"

Stormracer was surprised as she looked at him. "Really? But I lost the bet."

"Ah, who cares," he said with a shrug, "a change of scenery would be nice. Icy scenery..." he shivered at that but still smirked, "but will definitely be a change."

Stormracer smiled big and did a fist pump. "Yes! Thank you!" She then hugged him tightly, catching him by surprise as his optics widened.

Stormracer continued smiling as she hugged him, though soon realized she was hugging him way too long. Pulling away, she sheepishly chuckled as she blushed. But she didn't stop looking at him. His red optics locked with her blue ones as he softly smirked at her. Building up enough courage, Stormracer placed her servos around his face and pressed her lips against his. Everything she felt about him, she put in that one kiss. After a while, she pulled away and looked at him. Her courage however faded as he silently looked at her. No smirk. No grin. Just a look of surprise. She felt embarrassed, thinking she just blew it.

"I'm so sorry," she apologized, "that was a lot. I shouldn't have gone that fa-"

She was cut off as Knock Out pulled her in and kissed her back. Her spark skipped a beat as she blushed like crazy. Smiling to herself, she shut her optics and embraced him. Both didn't have a care in the world as they shared their moment together.

But they were not alone.

Hiding behind the trees, a pair of red optics watched the scene. The figure then leaned closer towards the moonlight, revealing his face.

"Well, well," Starscream said with an evil grin. "Isn't this interesting."

The seeker had been waiting impatiently for the red energon he stole to process. During that wait, he noticed Decepticon movement constantly popping up in the same location, making him curious as to what was going on. Little did he expect was to find his former teammate racing with the Autobot underling before being chased by human law enforcement. It took a while, but he managed to find them again, and just in time. He watched as the two shared their moment before evilly chuckling.

"Best be careful, Knock Out. Especially now that I know your little secret."

Without the two knowing of his presence, the seeker quietly backed away and disappeared into the shadows.
