Hola~ me again~ I'm not sure if you've done this before but here goes nothing! In the ending of Sonic and the black knight, we have Amy chasing after Sonic for missing their date. Think you can write down what happens in the aftermath? Maybe a little dash of cute moments here and there? AU or Canon, whichever floats your boat. (I've seen many interpretations for the aftermath but I'm yet to see yours lol. And it's totally not 5am here- I'll shut up now and sleep hahah)

"Ohhh! Why do you feel you have to lie to me!?" Amy held her hammer over her head, and then swung it out, as Sonic leaped and pulled up his knees, having the hammer hit below him as he continued to run.

"I already told you! I'm not-!"

"Oh, shut it! You overslept! Just tell me the truth!"

"What I said is the truth! You're the one not believing me!"

Amy stopped her pursuit, huffing and puffing as Sonic kept running, before hearing her footfalls stop and skidded to a halt.

He looked back behind him, blinking his eyes as if not expecting what she may do next.

"…" Amy stared at the ground, her eyes shifting as if thinking about that for a moment. It seemed so unlikely… was he really just trying to get away from punishment? Or was he truly telling the truth…

How could that be the truth though?

"Amy…" Sonic looked nervous, turning around and reaching a hand out to her, before flinching and pulling it back at her shout.

"You jerk!"

He frowned, sad at hearing that.

"Do you even know how long I waited for you?! I got all dressed up too! I looked like a princess for the amount of time I sent looking pretty! And I had to keep my hopes up the more hours passed by… I even had to eat by myself, and it's all your fault!"

She fell to her knees, tossing her hammer out but clearly not aiming as Sonic watched it dropped and looked back to her.

"W…Was it so bad..? Emm…" she closed her eyes, holding back tears that refused to stay unseen or silent, as her lips began to tremble. "Spending just one afternoon with me..?"

Sonic gained enough courage through compassion to walk over to her, and knelt beside her, tilting his head into a pleasant smile.

"You know, Amy. I think I get it now."

She softly sniffed, and put a hand up to wipe her eyes, before looking up at him, a little confused. "Huh?"

He looked to her more gently now. "In that world, the one I didn't lie about, there was a lady of the lake. She told me, that if I was to receive the mythical sword, I needed to prove my heart first."

Amy blinked, not sure she was following.

Sonic winked and held up three fingers, "To prove I was a true and honorable knight, I had three tests. Each to test my chivalry, and prove I could wield the legendary sword Excalibur."

"…What does this have to do with-" Suddenly, Amy was cut off as Sonic placed the three fingers on her mouth, looking annoyed she was interrupting him.

He smiled to the side of his muzzle again though, and dropped the hand to balance himself again. "I'm saying I think I need to take on your quest too, Amy. And prove my words sincere."

Amy's eyes shined just slightly, as she leaned forward and put her hands up in fists by her mouth, "R-really!? You mean you'll make it up to me!"

"U..uh… well, yeah." Sonic leaned back, not liking how close they were, until chuckling slightly and getting up, shaking his head. "You two sure are different though." he then extended his hand. "Shall we?"

"R-right now..? And who was this girl to you in that other world..?" She looked up at him before growing suspicious and jealous, but Sonic just sweatdropped and remained silent before she finally took his hand, and he helped her up.

"Well… she reminded me a lot of you." he smiled, and she looked a little startled by that response.

"So you spent more time with this girl than going on a date with me…?" Amy twitched.

"H-hey!" Sonic freaked out, stepping back and waving his hands out, "Don't freak out now! Not when you were finally believing me…"

"So that's it! You just wanted to charm me back to your side, eh!?" Amy put her hands on her hips, looking more ticked now, as Sonic realized she misunderstood him again.

"N-no! That's not-!"

"Ohh… and when I actually thought you had a heart!" Amy resummoned her hammer, and slammed it down as Sonic skedaddled quickly away.

"Amy..!" he seemed to want to try and explain himself again, but she was too close to his heels to be able to get a word out. He held a hand over his head, some form of protection, as he kept jumping every time she swung.

"Hold still so I can jog your memory of this 'girl who looks like me'."

"Amy, it's not what you're- Ahh! Ammyy!"

The two ran off down the horizon, as Tails, looking out his library window, shook his head and put the book down. "Sometimes, I think it'd be easier if he just wasn't a bookworm…"
