Amy has been taken by Metal Sonic, who has betrayed Eggman only because he wants to prove who the superior Sonic is, and has challenged him to a race and battle.

The race was already coming to a close, as all Sonic had to do was grab Amy to win, as she was suck in a cage with one of the sides open for him to run and grab her out from. As he was about to reach her, the cage door closed, and he slammed into, "Ugh, no! Amy!"

"Sonic, it's a trap!" Amy cries out, rushing to the cage bars where he is before the whole area lights up to show where they are.

"Ah!" Sonic turns around to see boiling hot water beneath him, and being lead into a hollow mountain's insides, it seemed…

"HEDGEHOG, YOU HAVE STILL NOT ONE YET." Even though it was robot, you could tell there was just so much hate and hostility in Metal Sonic's voice, as he glared down from flying to reach Sonic, and dived into the cage, since there wasn't any roof, but it was to high to jump in or out of.

He grabbed Amy as she tried to fight him and flew up and dangled her over the water, her back faced him and her feet kicking, as she looked down, and grabbed his arm.

The arm lead to a clawed hand, that threatened to pierce her pretty little head through if Sonic didn't comply.

"Metal! This is cheating!" Sonic shouted up, worried about Amy… "I thought this was going to be a fair game!"

"NOTHING IN LIFE IS FAIR." Metal stated, "ONLY THE CUNNING OF SUPERIOR INTELLECT SURVIVES. EITHER YOU DEFEAT ME BEFORE SHE HITS THE WATER, OR PRONOUNCE ME AS THE ULTIMATELY BETTER SONIC. YOU WILL THEN DIE BY MY HAND, AND SHE WILL BE SPARRED." Metal declared, as Sonic clenched his teeth. "OR DOES YOUR PRIDE MATTER MORE THAN YOUR FRIEND?" He narrowed his eyes as the red in them glowed, and yanked Amy up, his finger dangerously close to her neck, like a blade….

"…Nothing… is more important to me than my friends." Sonic down sadly, seeming to admit defeat. "I've tried to fight you… I can't beat you that quickly… and I'm not willing to risk Amy's life to do so… you win, Metal Me." Sonic spread his arms out, and started to walk across the thin land bridge he just scaled across to the edge, near the water. "You defeated Sonic The Hedgehog, making you, the ultimate Sonic."

Metal tilted his head, not understand why this was so easy. "YOU ARE BLUFFING."

"…Goodbye, Amy." He looked up to Amy, smiling cockily. "Heh, take care of yourself, alright? And watch how many cookies you eat." he fell backwards.

"NOOOO!"

"Nooo!"

Metal Sonic released Amy, wanting the pleasure of killing Sonic himself was more important than being dubbed the only Sonic. Amy was released and started falling through the air and watched Sonic do the same, before he grinned and leaned his head up, firing an enerbeam her way. "Hook on!" he cried out.

Amy's head shot up as she desperately shot out her enerbeam and threw it at his line.

The lines wobbled a bit before being magnetized almost toward each other, before finally connecting and becoming a purple beam.

"Here!" Sonic beagn. "We!" Amy continued, swinging the beam like he was but in the opposite direction. "GO!" the two said in unison, as her and Sonic created a 'S' out of the enerbeams that threw them to the wall, where they ran and began spinning a line around the unsuspecting Metal Sonic.

"WHAT..!? NOOO!" Metal Sonic was tied up in the purple enerbeam but they kept running down, as Amy noticed the water and gasped.

"Sonic!"

"Right on it!" Sonic flung his enerbeam up as the line carried and grew, spreading all the way up before hooking it and Metal Sonic tied up in it onto the open land bridge, before springing Sonic and Amy up and curling them up together too, as Sonic grabbed onto her before uncurling, whispering cockily, "Miss me?" and then letting go as she laughed and they uncurled, now just hanging onto their beams.

"Really? To many cookies? What are you trying to say?" She held on in front of him as he slyly acted like he didn't know what she was talking about.

"I'm sorry, I don't recall that line of script. Can you elaborate more on that?" she kicked him as he laughed, and the two climbed up. "Phone, Tails, will ya?"

"Sure, to pick us up?" she got to the top as he helped her up and moved over to stomp on Metal Sonic, putting his hands up to his face and sticking his tongue out to tease and mock him before answering Amy. "Nah, to pick up bolt brains, over here."

"Huh? But what about us?" Amy looked back at him, as he tied a tighter knot around the enerbeams and dusted off his hands, walking to Amy once Metal Sonic was secured.

"You and I are staying out late tonight." he put his arms to her waist, and pulled her a little closer. "I almost lost you. I was riding on the fact that his pride would make him want to kill me himself, not just let me take my own life. I was praying that he'd drop you like that so my plan would work. More than anything.. I think we both deserve a moment to spend time with each other somewhere less… ehm… steamy." he looked down, seeing the water had made steam rise up and fanned his head, before fanning hers. "Whoo! It is hot in here!" they laughed.

"Oh Sonic~ I would love too… but is this.. dare I ask… a date?" she closed her eyes, before peeking one open, getting her hopes up.

"Well… that depends." he grinned, moving more towards her as he wrapped his arms around her more, and she did the same but around his neck.

"Depends? On what exactly…~"

There voices turned a little… flirty.

"On if uh… how fun it goes."

"How fun? Oh Sonic…" she laughed and leaned back slightly, before grabbing his bandanna and pulling him up nose to nose touching. "I've been waiting a VERY long time for you to say that."

Sonic grew nervous suddenly, moving his arms in a blink of an eye off of her for a moment, "Eh-hehheh…" he smiled weakly, sweating awkwardly… "Just a fun time, nothing toooooo-" he quickly got out of the embrace he, technically, made for himself. "personal." he clarified.

"Ohh.. still shy when it comes to me playing back, huh?" she whined, disappointed he pulled away when she decided to get serious. "Whatever, let's go somewhere fun! The jungle vines?"

"I was thinking more the mountain plains, there are some pretty flowers there."

"Ah! Oh, Sonic, flowers~? For me?!"

"Anything you want, Amy!"

The two walked out together, as Amy hugged his arm as he just strutted out, while Metal Sonic still struggled in the enerbeam around his frame.

"FOOLS! DO NOT LEAVE ME HERE! I WILL DESTROY YOU SONIC! … SONIC? COME BACK! YOU HAVE STATED I AM SUPERIOR! YOU CAN'T DENY IT! I WILL VANQUISH YOU…. I KNOW YOU'RE STILL THERE. YOU CANNOT ABANDON YOU'RE PERFECT ENEMY. … SONIC? SONNNIIICCC!"
