One more! (Prompt) (Modern or Boom) The gang find themselves going to a dance. Later on, a slow song starts playing. Amy, who was super excited and has been dreaming of a slow dance since they got there, tried to look for Sonic, who seemed to have disappeared in the crowd. Then, as Sonic is talking to Tails by the punch bowl, Tails points out Amy sitting all by herself and tells Sonic that she's been wanting a slow dance all day. (I'm sure you know where I'm going with this...) SONAMY DANCE!

cutegirlmayra answered:

Oh man, XD I LOVE THIS IDEA! I've already done about 2 or 3 different headcanons of them at a dance, but I'm willing to keep trying and play with the idea more and more because I love the idea of them dancing together! XD

(I've run out of Boom!sonamy pics! come on people! I need more pictures! DDDD"B)

I'm sticking to Boom, because i can't really see Canon Sonic dancing a 'SLOW' dance, with anyone XD maybe a quick step or jumpy song, but not slow XD He'd never hang around long enough. He'd think it boring~)

During a dance held to celebrate the village's 100th anniversary, Sonic is leaning on the wall, enjoying watching Knuckles try and flirt with the girls as they all seem either smitten or missin' his obvious charm.

Laughing a bit at it, Tails comes over with a very judging face, seeming upset at Sonic.

"…What?" Sonic shrugged out his arms. "Knuckles is funny. He thinks girls only like muscles." Sonic chuckled out, still making fun of his friend.

"..You know." Tails started to play his game, as he went over to Sonic and put his arm around his shoulders. "Amy was telling me how she's never really slow danced with a boy before… Maybe today could be her lucky day?" Tails shrugged, having more of his drink that he was spinning around.

"Heh, I think you let the punch get to your head a bit there, Tails." Sonic rolled his eyes.

"Hey, I'm serious! She's all alone over there, like a wall flower…" Tails slightly joked, as Sonic laughed a moment and looked to her.

"Yeah… I guess so. But she is a Rose."

"No jokes, Sonic. No ones asked her to dance yet."

"..Wait, no one?" Sonic suddenly seemed more concerned now, as he moved off the wall he was leaning on, and looked to Amy, then Tails.

"Nope. And that's why I'm feeling more and more inclined to gently shove you in her general direction." Tails pushed his hands out, showing how gentle he would be.

"Heh.. I bet you would." Sonic folded his arms, and lowered his head to have his thumb scratch his lips a moment, thinking…

"Well, while your building up the courage-!" Tails raced into the fray, grabbing Sticks who was acting drunk off the punch (but the show would only suggest, not actually say it, but it would be funny if that's how she was acting XD) and started dancing with her. "Mind if I join you?"

"HAAAAH!" she shouted into his face a laugh, "I've never been out this long from my burrow! And it's FAN-FREAKIN'-TASIC." she lifted her glass and 'whoo!'d as the whole ballroom shouted back to her a 'hoo!'.

She kept doing that before Tails just shook his head and started dancing off with her, seeing as she was acting crazy again.

Sonic laughed a little, before looking back to Amy, as she stared at the couples dancing so close together and sighed, wishing she could be that close to someone important to her too…

"Umm…"

She looked up.

"..I'm not the best at taking it slow and steady… but I think there's a pattern to this… 'slow dancing' thing,… doesn't look to hard to get. Mind if we uh.." Sonic looked away, scratching his head, "Heh, you know. I had this all in my head and now it's just… um… falling apart, heh." he nervously laughed, as Amy's smile grew bigger and bigger.

She leaned off the wall and curtsied. "I would love to dance with you,… Sonic."

"Heh…heh." He laughed nervously again, taking her hand, as she sounded so maturely pretty in her last sentence, that it almost caught Sonic off guard.

"W-woah…uh… oh, sorry about that, waahh!" he wasn't really getting the hang of it, bumming into people and his feet moving to high up and going everywhere, trying to follow Amy's lead as she was the one who actually knew what she was doing.

"Hehe, calm down. Just follow my feet~" she chimed, as he, for a moment, couldn't take his eyes off of her.

"…Ow!"

"OH. OH I'M SO SORRY. Maybe we should stop?" he whined out, feeling guilty about stepping on her toe from not looking at where he was going, as she just laughed.

"No, no! It's fine! Let's keep going, come on!" she giggled.

"Ah.. O-okay.." he looked like this was painful for him, trying to take it slow and only move his feet as minimal as possible.

He finally got the hang of it, as Amy leaned her head on his chest and he looked sorely bored.

"This is lame."

"Shush."

"…seriously? This is what girls live for? just… moving in a circle?"

"It's very romantic. Now shush."

"Ugh… fine.."

Amy was trying to enjoy herself, smiling at his funny attitude as he just held her hand and kept slowly turning in a circle with her, but his face said it all.

He was not only feeling awkward and a nervous wreck, but he was slightly blushing too, as he tried something he never thought of before..

Looking at her head, and then back up at the ceiling, he slowly began to tilt his head to rest on hers.

But before his awkwardly nodding head could actually do the unthinkable, the music stopped, and Sonic quickly looked around to see the couples letting go and getting out of their embraces from one another.

He quickly moved Amy away, laughing nervously before getting the heck out of there. "Ah-ha..uh.. well, that was nice. Got to dash!"

Outside, he ran off the beating of his heart and the uncomfortableness of it all, as Amy looked sorrowfully through a window she had ran up to see him out of.

Leaning on the sill, she sighed, and smiled. "Well, at least I danced with him." she lowered her eyelids, wondering if she'd ever dance with him like that again…

Sonic stopped in the middle of the rising moon, showing his silhouette as he shook his hands out and jumped on each foot. "Whowhawhawha!" he shook himself off of the nerves and dashed onwards as the camera closed in on itself, creating the black screen.
