Yes, it's actually a lot easier now that I have a foundation to go off of. Which was surprisingly one of my guesses, but I didn't know for sure if that's where they'd go with these two.

What to write though? Lol, I get so many ideas and then 'poof!' I forget them too quickly XD hold on…

Might not be fully canon though, as I mostly made this as a way to see if I could do a 'near-death' or 'if this doesn't work then at least I did this' thing before the episode.

After taking a nasty hit from behind, Amy begins to roll near a cliff side, as it leads down to a huge rocky slope that rolls into another grassland.

"Amy!" Sonic dashes off and is able to stop her tumbling before she reaches the edge.

"Sonic..!" She grabs his hand and looks over his head to see the robot lifting his foot up. She gasps, and in a last minute effort to save him, pulls him to her as the foot fall of the massive robot shakes the earth, and they begin to tumble down towards the edge again, this time, locked together.

Sonic finally gets his feet back on the ground and moves Amy into his arms, holding her up as he tries to gain his balance. "W-wooooah.." he wobbles his footwork to the right, and then the left, just before they rolled off the cliff he lifted one leg up and was able to balance themselves. "Whew."

"Uh, what's that crumbling sound?"

"The what?"

"I'm gonna pretend you said 'the sound of peace'."

The two look down to notice Sonic's foot is crumbling the rock around itself.

They both look to each other and blink, before dropping down, "WAAAH!"

Sonic tries to skillfully skate on the rocks, but ends up tripping on a rock as the two are separated and getting pretty banged up on the trip down the slope. "Ouch." "Offph!" "Pardon me..!" "Sonic!"

"Sonic! Amy!" the gang look over the slope as Eggman boasts he's finally doomed Sonic, as the three look back at Eggman and worry the worst.

"A-Amy! Give me your hand!" Sonic notices a huge rock sticking up ahead, and reaches for Amy hands.

"I… I can't!" Amy tries to reach out but is really hitting the ground hard as she's falling away from him even more.

"Amy, you have to-OW, try!" he's hitting his head pretty hard against the slope too, as the two are about to be squished if she doesn't grab his hand. "Amy! We're not gonna make it if you don't-!"

"Don't tell me what I can and can't do!" Amy pounds her feet into the ground, skidding painfully as she leaps towards him, and their hands touch and tightly hold together.

"Hang on!" Sonic parts himself, but keeps his hand tightly on hers as the rock finally catches them, and their pressed up against each other from the swing of the impact.

"OUCH!" "OFFPH!"

The two's use their other hands to grab their heads, holding it over their faces as they've just face-planted each other.

"Explain to me AGAIN why that just happened?"

"First off, did my nose just go in your mouth? Yuck!" he made a face and rubbed his nose, hacking out his disgust. "Great, now it's wetter than usual."

"Eww! Was that why I tasted something unnatural? Blah! Bleh, patooie!" she spat a few times out as the two looked up to see Eggman's robot be kicked over the slope too. They spent a moment looking at it before shouting out their distress and clinging to one another.

"Any bright ideas!?" the shadow of the robot was getting closer, and would flatten them for good!"

"Yeah, just one." Amy quickly kissed Sonic on the nose before letting his hand go.

"Wh-hey-ah-Amy!" Sonic pawed at the cliff as he tried to figure out what happened, before Amy swung her hammer down and powerfully propelled herself up, spinning into a spin dash and hitting the robot off course with her.

In distress, he quickly realized her suicide mission and got his footing back, racing up the wall as he still was falling slightly, and caught her before the robot rolled to a stand still, and he jumped on the top of it, before rolling down it's metal hide and looking over Amy.

"Amy! Amy! Don't you dare think you can get away with that!" he cried out, turning her over as she looked pretty out cold. "Amy… come on, don't make me-…oh.." he was about to use mouth to mouth but she blinked her eyes and he flailed back.

"We-..We're you… about to… kiss me back?" she lightly smiled a goofy look, being pretty beat up from her last 'all or nothing' attack to save at least Sonic's life.

He wiped his mouth and spat, then glared to her. "Next time you try and be a hero, don't mimic my spin attack and try and be cool with that 'oh, by the way, here's a kiss' like, who does that!?" he shook his head wildly and then held his arms out to her, as if thinking she was crazy.

"Heh, well… if I never got the chance, it'd be the one thing I'd regret." she slowly got up, turning from him and looking away, blushing slightly as she held her arm.

He suddenly lost his anger and looked away too, scratching his head and getting up. "L-look, I… I'm not mad at you I'm just… I never thought anyone would risk their life for me before… okay? I mean, usually it's me doing that stuff you know?" he honestly spoke out, showing how really shocked he was after all of her bold move to save him. She slightly turned around to him.

He tried to reach out a hand but withdrew it back, looking away again. "I don't want to regret anything either… and I don't think I could keep on living knowing you sacrificed yourself like that for me… so don't do that again, alright?" he pointed a finger at her, and leaned forward, as if upset and scolding her.

She gave him a 'I don't think so' look and smiled. "Please, if we're both wiling to risk each others lives to keep the other safe, then I think we're BOTH in pretty good hands." she took her good arm and held her hand up in a fist pump… and waited a moment… "Uh…heh, heh… is it still awkward between us now or..?"

"Extremely." Sonic glared at her, and then folded his arms, not willing to fist pump her back as he looked away.

"Right." her head dropped down a level as she realized he wasn't going to forgive her that easily…

(It's not really canon, but eh. I tried to keep them in character XD hope you enjoyed it, my friend! :D)
