Prompt: It's officially the day that everyone on the island gets vaccinated by Doc. Only thing is she asks for the gang's help finding (some of them fled) and convincing the kids to get their shots. Sticks who is terrified and paranoid of shots does not make things easier on anyone, hilarity ensues.
cutegirlmayra answered:
Oh man, SHOTS. ugh, what kid does like them? And I headcanon that Sticks doesn't trust Doc, just because she uses 'magic potions', like a witch doctor, to cure people. It's obviously just medication, but still.
I'll see what I can do~
(I think she can be a really good character… I can't wait to meet her! :D)
Sticks struggled on the stretcher to get out, growling and having her fangs out, hair sticking up, as the gang tried to pin her down.
"Quick! Do it quick!" Tails cried out.
"You may have turned my closest friends against me, you may have me pinned and freaking out, you may even have this stretcher slightly stained.., but either way, I will never yield!"
"All done."
"That was it?" Sticks had reeled herself back, but looked down to her arm, seeing the cute little band-aid placed on it, as Doc took the shot and blew over it like it was a pistol.
"That's it." Doc winked, looking pretty cool at the moment actually, as she put her stuff back into her doctor's black bag. "I told you, I always use the butterfly needle when it comes to children, they barely feel a thing!" (that's a real needle, by the way. next time you get your blood taken, as for the butterfly needle, it's specifically made to be less painful ;) )
"…Huh. Well, your voodoo ways don't fool me! If I end up as a duck tomorrow morning, I'll know what to call you! A quack!" she got on all fours, and jumped up like a barking chihuahua, repeating, "Quack, quack, quack!" as she excited the home, rolling her eyes.
"Seems someone's already a duck." Sonic shook his head, and let Sticks down. "It wasn't THAT bad.."
"Really? I saw you flinch at the needle too, Sonic." Amy narrowed her eyes to him, smiling mischievously as he nervously tried to rebuttle.
"She just flung that thing out from no where! I was momentarily caught off guard!" He defended himself. "Besides, you let out a little girl noise when it went in! That's a lot worse than a flinch."
Amy hit his arm, "It was a silent cry of mercy! Doctor's tend to be gentler when you make them pity you!"
"Actually, I think it's the opposite." Tails states, holding a finger up. "The braver you are, the more a doctor would be inclined to admire you, and praise you more. Like so~" he held up his lollipop.
"What!? She was giving out lollipops?! I want one!" Knuckles cried out, hovering around Tails's lollipop as he moved it around, letting knuckles drool over it.
"She said I was a real man today." he gloated.
"Heh, it's probably a poison lollipop! And you'll go into a deep sleep, and never wake up! And she'll give you more shots! And more lollipops! Till you've been stuck with a needle in every pore!" Sticks cried out, as the team just ignored her.
"Anyway, it would be great if all the kids went in to get vaccinated. But they're all like Sticks, and terrified of needles." Amy stated, and sighed, "I just hope no one gets sick…"
The gang rubbed their arms, thinking…
"…Ah! I have an idea!" Tails happily states.
The team gather the children and try and teach them that the 'needle' is a 'sword' trying to 'pierce' the 'evil germ dragon' inside of them, but he kids think they're crazy and don't pay attention.
Eggman decides it would be a great idea to bio-engineer a disease that will make everyone so sick, they can't fight him!
Stricken with flu-like symptoms, the gang and the adults are the only one not effected, as the team stop Eggman, and finally, the kids go in to get vaccinated after drinking the antidote.
"See? A little pain is nothing to actually being sick!" Sticks states, as the gang looks proudly to her as a little kid says he's sorry.
"I was throwing up and everything!"
"Ew, well, here. Have a non-toxic lollipop." Sticks hands him one as Tails smiles.
"I'm proud of you."
"Yeah, well,… maybe she's a good witch, huh?" Sticks smiles, looking to her friends and then to Doc, who carefully and kindly helps the kids get their shots.
