I'm not sure if this was suggested before so feel free to ignore if it has but sonamy prompt where the media is reporting on Sonic and friends latest battle with Eggman. But they trash talk Amy and make her feel bad like she has no place there so Sonic either defends her or focuses on trying to cheer her up. Thanks Mayra you're the best!

PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN. DON'T SEND ME A PROMPT.
Prompt:
The lastest battle ended without much of a problem, Eggman went rocketing back into the sky and became nothing more than a glimmering shine at such a distance, and City Square cheered while Sonic turned around, dusted off his hands, and smiled to his friends.
They were on top of a large building, almost one of the tallest skyscrapers, as helicopters suddenly flew up with television cameras strapped to them and film crews talking loudly over the gust of wind.
"That'll teach'em, right, guys?" Sonic put an arm around Tails and Knuckles, laughing as Tails was somewhat embarrassed but smiled kindly to his friend.
He chuckled, "Eggman really doesn't know when to quit, does he?"
Knuckles gave out a hearty laugh with a mighty hit on Sonic's back, mostly boasting, "Hahaha! If it wasn't for Tails's sharp thinking, Sonic's speedy entrance, and my stalling then none of this would have happened!"
"Well, Amy sounded the alarm." Sonic was pushed forward a little, wobbling on one leg from Knuckles's 'friendly' pat on the back before straightening out and rubbing the back of his head. "Let's be sure to remember, none of us would have even known this was happening if Amy wasn't watching the news."
Tails sighed, slouching down. "I was working on the X-Tornado in the garage, the radio I had on was being drowned out by my power tools… she wasn't able to call to get my attention so she charged all the way over to my place. I almost had a heart attack…" He clutched his chest, but his face showed his gratitude. "Amy's the real hero here."
"Heh, after she informed you, you went to find Sonic and let him know. She had to come all the way to Angel Island to get me to help her with it!" Knuckles threw a thumb up to himself, "Climbing those vines and piloting an earlier model of your biplane, Tails… I don't know how she does it all by herself!"
Sonic smiled, "I do." He confidently stated, but just before he was about to say more on the topic, a helicopter came closer down.
"Sonic The Hedgehog! Tails the Fox, also known as Miles Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna!" a man with a megaphone sounded out as the trio threw up their hands against the wind pressure and loud voice.
"Geez, these guys don't quit, do they?" Knuckles gritted out.
"Err..! They're worse than Eggman, sometimes!" Tails scooted against the ground, also speaking through his teeth.
Sonic just watched them, worried about his friends getting blown off the skyscraper.
"On behalf of everyone in City Square, we thank you for once again risking your lives to protect this city!" the Reporter man stated, "Could you give us some ending words for–what is being considered–your crowning and heroic achievement for this little Square?"
Sonic blinked his eyes innocently, then turned to smile to Tails and Knuckles, who returned the kind gesture and looked happily back at the man.
Sonic threw up a thumbs up and winked, his signature pose, as Knuckles threw up a fist and Tails gave a cheery open-grin.
"Thank you! Amy!" They called out.
"H-huh?!" The Reporter looked a little dumbfounded, "M-maybe you misheard me, I said–" He suddenly spoke much louder into the mic, causing the trio to grip their ears and fling backwards, showing the discomfort of his loud screeching from the mic. "WHAT FINAL WORDS WOULD YOU LIKE TO END THIS INCREDIBLE SAGA OF SAVING A LITTLE METROPOLIS WITH!?"
The gang looked annoyed by the static and now, ringing in their ears.
"We told you!" Tails cried out, wincing as he slammed his hands multiple times further against his fox ears.
"We already said it, you loudmouth buffoon!" Knuckles glared and his eyes narrowed into arrow-like spikes to show his aggression towards the rude Newscaster. He stomped a foot down against the wind, hollering back, "We wanted to thank Amy for getting us all back together on such short notice! What's your problem with that, huh!?"
Sonic, still squinting against the wind with his hand up to his eyes, looked over to him, "Knuckles…" He seemed to be both understanding but also slightly trying to calm him down.
"Grr… Well, he heard it! Why's he toying with us, then!?" He threw his fist down as though ready to duke it out with the copter.
"Maybe he just doesn't get it." Tails called back to them, but the Reporter spoke up again, this time, turning to the camera.
"Well, there you have it, folks! Sometimes, heroes are just to humble to see that they did all the work, but will happily give the credit to the little gal on the sidelines!"
"H-hey! That's not what we said!" Tails cried back.
Sonic tensed his jaw.
"Y-yeah! Amy wasn't sidelined, she's the reason we're all here!" Knuckles swung a hand out, flat-out denying his last statement. "What's this guy's deal!?"
"He's blatantly tossing Amy out as a way for us to look humble, instead of showing how much we appreciated her efforts." Tails explained but looked worriedly to Sonic. "W-what do we do..? If she's still watching T.V… she might get the wrong impression about what we said…"
Sonic took a step forward, and both Knuckles and Tails's eyes grew a bit bigger as he walked up to the copter, the Reporter continuing, "It's time like these to give our heroes the reminder of how much we desperately need them, and how much they want us to feel included in their noble work too! Even you, yes, you there, son! Can be a hero too! Just by cheering them on!"
He spun into a rapidly rotating ball and shot off towards the copter, grabbing the railing of it's 'legs' before climbing aboard.
"W-woah!" Tails exclaimed.
"What's he doing..? That crazy hedgehog." Knuckles smirked, getting an idea.
"To all the hero lovers out there, you're included in this too! Thank you, Everybody! H-huh?!" the Reporter was about to sign off when Sonic started to climb up from the side of the seat and take the mic. "W-what!? Sonic The Hedgehog, you're-!" he was so shocked that he didn't say anything more as Sonic took a deep breath in and switched from a serious expression to a charming one.
"Not to be ungrateful to the millions of fans out there, but we were mostly directing this to Amy. She's the muscle that got us all here, and she'd be fighting by our side too if it weren't for the fact that she was helping evacuate the city right after alerting us. She didn't just scale miles to find us and warn us, though, either. She's the reason why you're all alright, too. Some heroes come to the front lines, and others care more about saving lives than fighting the villain. So, although you saw me and my friends taking care of business, know that Amy fought her own battles by driving a scared, confused crowd out of the city and to safety. We may be heroes, but we're nothing without the heroes that fight on all the fronts and at every angle! Amy… We meant that to you and you alone! But sure, yeah, thanks everybody for complying and not getting in her way!" he winked, tossed the mic as he jumped out of the helicopter, the Reporter scrambling to grab it as he commented that was 'expensive equipment.
Sonic tucked his knees up and flew down before landing to stand stall from the impact and give another signature grin to his friends, swiping his thumb under his nose as he did so, "Heh."
Glad Amy got her just dues, Tails and Knuckles also nodded with narrowed eyes, smiling back to him. "Hmm." They agreed with his actions and then jumped off the side of the skyscraper, Tails flying, Knuckles gliding down, and Sonic… spinning to uncurl and race along the sides of it.
Down below, and far from the city, Amy watched her handheld MilesElectric with small tears in the corner of her eyes, gently using her finger to wipe them away as they sprayed off and gave a beautiful open-smile towards the city where she saw the yellow, red, and blue blur lights of her friends racing towards her and the civilians she helped rescue.
They would help her bring the people back once the damages were determined to be safe for reentry, but until then… she just waved energetically and was enthusiastic about their interview session.
"Mama, who's Amy Rose?"
Amy flinched back a moment before turning to look behind her, growing a bit shy as she held her tablet closer to her, ducking her head down as her mother giggled and leaned down, "She's right there, that nice hedgehog who saved us, Sweetie."
Amy then blushed and smiled sweetly, waving as someone called out, "Three cheers to Sonic's friends! Hip-hip! Hoorah! Hip-hip! Hoorah!" and continued with their cheers.
When the trio caught up with her, she was being hoisted in the air, and laughed as she begged to be put down, "This isn't necessary!" she cried out, finally being allowed down.
"Whooo…" She breathed out in relief, leaning her head up, then put her hands on her hips and looked to Sonic with a pout, "Did you have to guarantee me so much attention!?" She played, and he just gave her an awkward, sheepish smile.
"Sorry, Amy. I figured you could use the boost." he scratched behind his head.
"After all, that news guy was being really rude about our feelings…" Tails countered, his eyes bending back as he felt his true intentions had been ignored with his statement.
"Honestly," Knuckles puckered his lips as though a sour taste in his mouth, folding his arms, "Tsk! Who could get something as simple as, 'Thanks, Amy!' wrong, anyway!? Includes all the people… give me a break…" He grumbled, as Amy giggled into her hands and threw them up to embrace the three.
"You guys are the best!"
They smiled, before another man with an equally big camera pushed through the crowd and started talking, "Miss Rose! Do you have anything to say about Sonic's declaration of you being the true hero, today!?"
The three suddenly looked shocked, "HUUUHH?" their heads moving towards the camera to engulf it.
"He didn't say anything like that at all!" Tails cried out again, as Sonic faceplamed and Knuckles continued,
"Grrr… Do you guys even LISTEN to us!?" his gruff attitude made the camera crew sweatdrop and zip back at a safe distance from him.
"Well…" Sonic put a hand to his chin, leaning his head down to lift a eyebrow up to Amy, who looked back at him as though wondering what he was getting at. He poked at her arm, "I did say she was the muscle of the team…"
"H-hey! What about my muscle!?" Knuckles threw himself back into the frame of the camera, shouting out as he held his arm up and began to flex, "Come on, raise it up…" he looked to Amy's arm as she giggled and then awkwardly raised her arm. "See? It's not so… WOAH!"
She summoned her hammer and then measured it up to Knuckles's arm, "I'd say this is my 'true' strength, so if we're measuring anything,… it's the strength of our hearts!" She waved to the camera, then grouped everyone into a big hug, "After all! We're Sonic Heroes!"
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles turned to look at her… before laughing and grinning, beaming from ear to ear, and then enjoying the embrace as they returned it.
The television screen was engulfed in the love of friendship the four had for one another… they were heroes, each and every one of them, on equal playing fields…
