(This is kinda tough. Cause we haven't seen a lot of them being awkward or cute, only that Amy is hiding her crush on Sonic and Sonic is doing the same OMG IT'S ZELINK.)
(DOES ANYONE REALIZE I DID A PROMPT ON A MACHINE THAT TAILS MADE THAT READS MINDS BEFORE THE SONIC BOOM READING? Cause I did, that's all.)
Tails, loving his 'truthful' machine, has set it up behind the couch as he listens for people coming in. So far, he's had every 'Emm~' of Knuckles enjoying his sandwich translated and was about to call it quits when Knuckles left and Amy and Sonic walked in.
"That was a pretty great kick, Sonic! You sent that robot flying off into the stratosphere!" she used her hand to show how far Sonic kicked it, rotating it over her head and over behind her.
Wow, Sonic. I'm greatly impressed by you're strength and skill sets. I wish you would just sweep me off my feet and carry me into the sunset already.
"Heh, Thanks Amy. Just another trashed robot for my pile of Eggman's failures of the day." Sonic joked.
Tails looked to his machine, turning the volume down even more.
Gosh, you're cute Amy. I love all this praise, but I can't say that to you, so I'll just keep boasting myself up to make you think I'm greater than ever.
Tails covered his mouth, 'pfft'ing and trying to not laugh to loudly.
"Haha, so… what'cha gonna do next?" Amy got up on the back of the couch's rim, kicking her feet and looking to him, expectantly. "Do you have any plans or..?"
Today would be a great day to get married, or maybe you could just ask me on a date, that works to. In other words, ask me out, are you that oblivious!?
"Eh, no… I-uh… I don't really have anything planned." Sonic looked away, scratching the back of his head and looking like he couldn't think of anything. "I guess I'll just hang around here for awhile, you know, catch up on some stuff."
Man, I'd like to ask you out, but I'm too scared I'll come off looking like a dork. Why don't you just ask me? I'm clearly not the one making the first move here, so maybe you should just take the lead and I'll just tag along for the ride. I'll just wait till one of us gets enough confidence or just sit back and chill for a few hours before taking off.
"W-well,.. I..um…" she looked down and away.
Darn it, you idiot! Ask me out!
Sonic swung his arms around, hitting them together when they collided and whistled.
The whistling was translated.
Anytime now, Amy.
"We could… um… do something… together?" she lowered her head down, worried about how he would take that as she squinted an eye a little bit.
Please don't reject me! I'm super vulnerable right now and I don't think my heart can take much more of this disappointment!
"Oh? What do you have in mind?" Sonic put his hands on his hips, and turned to address her again.
FINALLY.
"Oh, well… uh… we could… eh-heh. Um…"
I should of thought this through.
Sonic smiled and tilted his head while he let out a little bit of breath that was picked up by the translator. And then he shrugged.
So innocent. So cute. So pathetically bad at this. But then again, so am I!
Tails couldn't stand this, "Ohhh!" he got up and screamed at the two, "Just ask each other to go on a date already!"
He accidentally raised the volume of his machine when he got up, having rubbed the switch on the couch's back to be extremely loud, it boomed out,
I'm sick and tried of you're petty attempts at trying to establish a closer relationship meeting agreement and I feel it is time for me to raise my voice and get you two moving because I secretly support you twooo…
He quickly powered down the machine, blushing.
"Eh-heh." he awkwardly smiled.
