Lol, it's all good! I'd think Shadow would just state facts and Knuckles would think he's being rude or acting to 'high and mighty' over him and want to take him down or show him whose boss, fighting up a storm with his mouth as he grew more and more angry with Shadow ignoring his anger. haha! Okay, I'll give it a try ;)

But wait… is this boom or..? I'll just leave it ambiguous. AND OMG, NO SHIPPING, WAHT!? IS THAT A LEGIT THING? Why… no, no yaoi for me, thank you. -shivers in fright-

On a mission together, the team splits up and leaves Knuckles with Shadow, who could care less about a team mate as Knuckles starts getting annoyed with how Shadow literally ignores him and just does his own thing.

"Hey! We're suppose to be working together! Quit acting like your all alone and-" Knuckles was climbing a rocky wall as Shadow just scaled it while running and jumped to a few different areas, already up it. "What the-HEY! Are you even listening to-?!"

"Hmm." Shadow looked at something on his communicators watch screen. "It seems there's a high energy signal coming from that building.." he looked up to the huge power plant near them.

"Huh? Really? That is strange. Whelp!" Knuckles jumped up, pounding his fist together, "Now that I'm all warmed up, I can bust our way through that power plant and-"

Shadow took off.

"Wha…H-HEY, you little… get back here! Quit leaving me in the dust! Beh, beh! RRRAAAGHHH, SHADOW!" Knuckles took off with a vengeance after Shadow.

-Later on~-

Inside the building, the two were laying low when Knuckles tried to ask what they were going to do about the guard robots, as they needed to free someone that Shadow also greatly wanted to meet.

As Knuckles suggested fighting them, Shadow reached up and grabbed his arm, stopping him from running out to punch them. "That's not necessary. Tell me, has your boasting about your strength been true or just another part of your ramblings?"

"Excuse me!?" Knuckles roared in his face, "I MEANT EVER WORD."

"Good." Shadow glared, and pointed to the ground below them. "I believe we're right on top of the safe. If you can get us through the floor, we'll land on the top, and try-"

"Say no more! HARUFFPH!" Knuckles raised his arms up, as Shadow looked up, shocked for a moment to see the fist coming down and dodged in time as Knuckles crumbled the floor beneath them and they landed on a huge silver square.

"…I could have done well with a warning.." Shadow stated, annoyed by his quick obedience and not letting him finish.

"Heh, true power comes without warning, Shadow!" Knuckles flexed a little, grinning like an idiot as Shadow slightly sweatdropped.

"What does that even mean?"

The two then heard Eggman enter the room, speaking up about the plot, as Knuckles and Shadow easedropped.

"So what? We clobber him now or something?"

"Is everything brawns with you?" Shadow narrowed his eyes and looked to him.

"Well… uh… mainly." Knuckles shrugged.

"Then I have no need for your assistance right now." Shadow jumped down, after everyone had left the room.

"H-hey, wait!" Knuckles jumped down after him. "Rugh, what about that safe? Seems kinda heavy, hehe…WHAT HUH-!?"

Shadow grabbed one of the pillars sticking out from the sun-shaped screw on the safe, and pushed it to the side, as it swung open the giant contraption, showing the jail cell inside and opening up.

Knuckles gwaked at the ultimate lifeform. "Wait.. if you could of done that all along then..?"

Shadow walked up to the man inside. "Hello, my name is Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog. I was created by Gerald Robotnik, and I believe your great grand father is responsible for the beginning of my creation. Was he the father of Maria?"
