I actually did a very similar thing before XD but I'll do it again~ lol, again, cause I love you all for submitting a prompt to me :3

I actually had an idea to have Lyrics push Sonic's head underwater, laughing as he tried to drown him before Amy came up, weakened from fighting before, but still fighting to save him. I thought it was too dark for a kid's show, so I'm toning it down :( Sorry…

(Aww, how cute! but it looks like he might be afraid to land now… hehe~)

"AMMMY!"

Sonic rushed over to the shoreline as Amy fell from the high disc floating above the water, crashing into the watery depth below. Storm clouds thundered as Lyric laughed, still having his mind control setting on her, and forcing her not to move her body in an attempt to save herself.

Amy fell with tears in her eyes as she remained motionless like a puppet, as Lyric had gently pushed her over the edge with his tail, saying, "Now… how will you're friend save you now? When he can't even swim? Whahahaa!"

Sonic looked at the water, the waves were wild and his eyes full of fear and panic. He cared! but he couldn't swim! the conflict barely even took a second to play out when he remembered what Amy once said.

"you shouldn't fear the ocean Sonic… it's actually… quite beautiful…"

His eyes widened, remembering how comforting her voice was when they had to take Salty's ship out to sea. She looked gentle and almost lovingly toward the ocean as the breeze hit her and the waves rolled in the reflection of her eyes.

When Sonic came back to his senses, his feet were already off the ground, and he was crashing into the waves below.

Popping his head out, he desperately tried to swim to where Amy was, letting the current take him, as he finally held his breath and dripped under.

All he had to do was get that darn mind control device off of her!

He found her sinking and naturally gravitated to her, since he was sinking on his own anyway. He reached and tried to kick his feet, finally reaching her and trying to tug the device off. It sparked him, resulting in Amy getting electrocuted too, but he wasn't going to give up. He put his hand back on it, and through the pain, having bubbles escape through his gritted teeth, he ripped the device off her head.

He began to sink down, the device falling with him, before Amy's eyes twitched and her hand jolted. In an instant, she had control over herself, and frantically looked around, before swimming down to grab Sonic and burst out to the open air, gasping for air as she tried to hold her and Sonic's unconscious body up. "Breathe, Sonic! Breathe!" she desperately stated as she had to spit some water out of her mouth and gasp a few times for more air, before tirelessly plowing her hand through the waves and reaching shore eventually.

She could hear Lyric chuckle evilly up above as he was using the Crystal shards to make one giant crystal, polluting it so the world would then be polluted as well and destroy all organic life as they knew it.

Amy looked down to Sonic, and began shaking him to wake up. "Sonic!..Sonic, please! Don't die for me… please, whatever you do don't..don't tell me you.." she bent her head down, tears forming before…

"You lied…*cough cough*… the sea is.. EHEM, terrifying.."

"S-…Sonic… oh my word, Sonic!" Amy threw herself down and hugged him, making him lean forward and kick a leg up from the impact, his quills on end.

"Ohhhh, that hurt…" he let out a small cry of pain before flopping down again. "Hey…"

"W-what?" Amy wiped her eyes, extremely happy he was still alive.

"…I'd drown for you." he stated, winking. "But not today." he got up and shook himself dry. "Now, let's regroup. Tails should have the X-Tornado up and running, so that'll be our time to-"

"Sonic?"

"What?" Sonic looked to her, before she kissed him on his muzzle, but his mouth was to the side, grimacing as his eyes widened. It was a quick kiss, but she still held it for a few seconds there…

"You'll never have to keep your word on that. I'll make sure of it." she summoned her hammer, getting up as Sonic shook his head and seemed like he wanted to say something, but was just gaping and forgot it, jumping up.

"Y-..yu…Yeah! Yeah, okay!"

(Lol, like they'd ever let Amy get away with a kiss XP but still, if Boom people were flexible enough, this might be a good time to put one in there… lol! XD)
