(NO ONE WILL STOP ME FROM GOING WITH MODERN! lol, I miss them so much tho XD also, my computer did something weird and I lost my original text D: I'll try and recreate it, so bare with me here… -softly cries cause I wish it wasn't lost…-)
Sonic was running from Amy chasing him yet again… as he came over a hill into view, going down, as Amy came bounding after him, calling him endearingly from a few spaces behind him. "Sonnicc!"
He looked back, seeming exhausted from her antics for the day, and finally halted.
He figured if she didn't turn back now, and give up, then she'd be too far away from home to make it there by sun down. He figured he'd have to take her back if she kept pursuing him, and didn't want her to be too far away to get home safely… (Aw, what a kind guy xD)
Amy quickly pounced for him, "Sonic!"
"…." he dodged, moving to the other side, and sighing. Staring at her with an expression that seemed to appear to be him wanting her to just quit already and go home. He folded his arms, as she looked a little confused but quickly, and happily, jumped for him again.
"Sonic!"
He moved to the other side, this time, his hand on the side of his face, looking bored and done.
"..Sonic..!" she faked a jump, hoping she could trick him into coming her way again.
He saw the bluff and just dashed further back, waiting…
"…Sonic?" now she looked heart broken, saddened that he wouldn't even let her get a hug after following him for this long. "What's the matter?"
Sonic lowered his head, almost like he couldn't believe she was asking that, and gestured back over his back with his thumb to the setting sun.
"..Oh, gosh! Is it that late, already!?" she gasped, as he let a groan out and had a small awkward tear drop on the side of his face.
"Want me to take you home?" He asked, folding his arms and looking a bit too serious.
"Hmm… no…" she put her hands behind her back, and moved her head down, but kept her eyes cutely up at him. "Why don't you keep me around for a little while? Ah! I know! We can star gaze and-!"
Sonic shook his head, "Not this time." he commented. He really wasn't in the mood, he wanted to keep running… but he didn't want to have to worry about her. "Go home, Amy." he took off, as she thought a moment.
Usually, this is the part where she goes home, swaying her arms and thinking about catching him the next day.
However…
"NO!" she stomped her foot, and turned away, folding her arms, even if he wasn't there anymore, she figured he would-…
A blue blur sped back to her location. "What do you mean, no?" he looked annoyed, but she smiled, seeing as he hadn't really abandoned her after all.
She cutely dropped her act and smiled his way, trying to be as cute as she could be. "I wanna stay with you! I'll run wherever you go, and until you crash, I'll be there to talk with you till you sleep!" she chimed.
Sonic looked to her, very unhappy with her reasoning… "And if I refuse?" he asked.
Amy lost her happy spirit and suddenly looked very upset, and glared his way. "What do you mean, refuse?" she mimicked him, and smiled again, before holding in her laughter at her ploy and turning serious again. "I spent this whole day chasing you. I deserve at least a chat!" she stated, and huffed as she held her head high. "Now, you can either decide to talk to me now, or later. But either way, I won't go home without spending some time with y-!?" she was immediately picked up, as Sonic started running her home.
"You're going home." he stated, "And that's fi-!" she pulled on his ear and kicked.
"No, no, no!" she fought back, making Sonic loose some of his footing.
"A-Amy! Stop! I can't-Wahahh-oah!"
"Ahhh-yee-ouhhh!"
they both rolled and tumbled, falling down into a shallow part of the river, one before the other.
They were completely submerged under the water, the surface rippled slightly after the splash, before gently, Amy lifted her head with Sonic's, their mouths on the other, and both having a very shocked and surprised look on their faces.
"Ah!" they both pulled away, stumbling back in the shallow water as Sonic quickly crawled spinelessly out of the water, shaking from the cold of the water and freaking out over what had just happened.
Amy stayed in the water, looking down and placing a hand on her lips, before using both hands to cover her lips and looking shocked as she glanced up.
"Our… our first…"
"Don't say it!" Sonic pointed behind him, cutting her off as he was on his knees, using his other hand to hold him up. "Don't… don't say that. That was a fluke and you know it!" he shouted back, still freaked out.
"..B-but it happened! You can't just deny that we-"
"Against our will!?" Sonic looked back at her. "That's not a kiss! That's a…a…" he looked away. "mouth skim." he thought quickly. "Our lips just skimmed the top of our mouths, no big deal!" he tried to fake it off, turning around and getting the water off his head as he moved his hands around him, playing the whole thing as a joke.
"..A kiss is a kiss, Sonic. And besides, it was destiny." she pointed her finger up too.
"What?!" Sonic exclaimed back. "You think it was fate?!"
"What else could it have been? Oh Sonic~ I knew one day, that time itself would plan a day for our first moment of true, blissful love to appear~ And look! It's today!" she held her hands together, looking off dreamily before splashing the water up.
"…Amy, this was clearly an accident!" Sonic got up, wiggling himself dry as he stayed off on the edge, where happy land was. "Don't make this more than it is." he wiped his mouth, feeling awkward and looking away.
"…Sonic did you…" She felt it was wrong to ask, but she looked down, not saying anything more, but really wanted too..
"…What?" Sonic noticed her demeanor change, and looked over to her. "What were you saying? I couldn't hear you." he hit the side of his head, getting some water out of his ears.
"…Did you feel… anything?"
Sonic suddenly stopped what he was doing, and looked back to her, surprised to hear her say that.
"..Anything at all?" She still looked away, worry and fear stricken in her eyes as she prayed in her mind that he wouldn't answer her.
"…Amy.." Sonic looked sadly to her, and then away embarrassingly, not knowing what to say. "It.. happened so fast I… I don't know what to say." he scratched the back of his head, as Amy accepted that answer, but it still kinda stung a bit in her heart.
"..Do you at least know what to feel?" she still kept her head looking away, as Sonic didn't like her looking so gloomy, and sadly, sighed and walked back into the water, hating every step he took.
He reached out his hand to her, hoping to help her up. "I don't what I felt then besides fear of drowning, and shock." he honestly spoke, and then smiled, "But good thing I know what to feel now."
Amy looked up slowly, before quickly gasping a big grin on her face, and completely dodged the hand and just leaped straight for him. "OH SONIC!"
He was smiling… before she came at him and made him freak out again, as he fell backwards, right back into the water….again.
"A-Amy! What are you-!?" he wasn't under the water, but he did push her off of him as she giggled, and he lifted his arms and hands up to see them dripping with water again, and splashed them down,looking off to the camera very upset.
Amy laughed and splashed him a bit, "If you can't have fun with a kiss, have fun with your worst fear then! haha!" she kept splashing him as he let her for a moment before holding up his hand again. It was hard to be mad at her… she was just.. not someone you could stay mad at. Besides, she was cute and having fun, being happy, and letting the moment fly by so he wouldn't be uncomfortable with her.
Her charm won him over and he smirked, getting mischievous, as he charged her back into the water, crashing up from it's surface to have her over his shoulders, like some hunt he won, and stomping out of the water as she laughed on top of him.
He set her down and shook himself dry again, as Amy got the backlash of it all. "That's not my worst fear." Sonic finally spoke up, running his hands through is quills as he bent over and shook them out from underneath, before flipping his head up, putting them back into their proper positions of two on each side and one directly above. Giving off the illusion of three quills from each side.
"Oh? What is it then?" she asked, getting a corner of her dress and wringing it out.
He smiled and poked her head. "Having you drown with me."
She looked back at him, a little depressed, "That's terrible."
"Huh? Well, I want I mean is.." he looked away, apparently meaning something different by his words, and scratched the back of his head. "It was better to have that… accident… than have that happen instead." he still wasn't really saying it the way he should, but Amy got the message that he would rather kiss her than drown with her.
She still was kinda feeling awkward about how he stated it, but forced a giggle out to make him feel better. "I'm just glad I was with you. Could you imagine? Falling in with some other girl!?" She hmph'd and grabbed his arm, dragging him in the direction of her home, and forcing him to string along behind her…
"W-whoa!" Sonic was forced to stumble along as she rambled on, he just sighed, hearing her say some things about how he shouldn't even 'think' about falling in with someone else and threatening him if he ever dared too.
