Well,… okay XD
(I have like… 2 ideas… but I'll just slightly connect them both to ONE story… so I'm gonna try to put fluff in this ^w^ I hope I haven't done this one before oo; Also, I originally created this for canon!sonamy, so I have to switch some things up a bit. Bare with me here…)
The team sets out into a misty land, finding that a rumor has it a great power was once sealed there. Eggman, of course, wants this great power and goes in to find it.
He hasn't returned in days.
The team gets slightly worried, and head out to see what has become of their enemy, when they realize what the mist really does to you…
The mist begins to live out you're dreams and fantasies. And the gang must fight through the fantasies and temptations of staying to break free of the enchantment.
After each has surpassed that challenge, they enter a shrine to find shelter and discover Eggman in a deep slumber…
In order to save Eggman, they must do an act of true love(true love can be MORE than just 'romantic' people XP it can be for friends and family too.), which, by coming out there to save him, proves they valued him and cared about his well-being. This act breaks the curse instantly and causes him to wake up. He starts storming out and angrily throwing a fit about how he had to be SAVED and how embarrassing it was since he's suppose to be the evil genius that PUTS people into these kinds of messes…
Well, Sonic sees the 'great power' as a cool looking stone tablet book, which had a large hand imprint carved into it, indicating to put ones hand there. Curious to see what this 'great power' was, and not realizing how foolish it was to let his friends talk and mock Eggman a bit behind him and not notice his actions, he secretly lets his hand slide into the hand print. The 'great power' is revealed and Eggman begins to worry for Sonic, as it only accepts one 'of great worth'. Sonic fails it's test through an illusion the 'great power' showed him and he collapses.
Sonic is placed under the curse of deep slumber unless an act of true love is performed, showing that the 'great power' was wrong to judge him of little worth, and prove that he is, indeed, worth something to the world of men. Everyone tries to say something to prove his worth, but Amy waits for them to give her a minute with him, and seems really torn up on what to say.
"…I'm not.. quite sure why everyone's own speeches about you didn't work." She admits, as all the team had to do because Eggman's act was simply done by coming and getting him, to prove that they cared. But for some reason, the stories that showed admiration(Tails), respect(Eggman), and honor(Knuckles) for Sonic, weren't working… and the team was at their wits end. "…I find you're just, honest, and good hearted, Sonic… You know what, in your heart, is right and wrong, and you don't hesitate to do what's right. Not only are you a hero, but you're are dearest friend… please.. you make this team, remember? You have to come back and lead us home…" She started tearing up, but Sonic didn't awaken, and now the gang was at a standstill.
In crushed hearts, the others left outside to mourn a bit, even Eggman, at having lost a friend, or a grand enemy in Eggman's case…
But Amy remained…
She looked around and saw that she was alone, and quickly knelt down a bit over him to speak more closely to him. "Hey..um, listen. I know this is weird, but fairy tales sometimes go like this… I think 'act' of true love means more than just words… it's actions. And I know love can be many different things, as Eggman has proven." She rolled her eyes on that. "But in all honesty… I love you. And I would give up my life for you… heck, I… I was willing to give my whole self to you… Sonic… I.. I want to be with you, and I can't do that if you're dead!" she started to softly cry, looking up a moment at realizing that if he didn't wake up, he would die in his sleep. "I really, really care about you. And I won't love another person the same, no, every again! You were my true love… and my whole heart.. was yours. Sonic… that is my act. My act of true love… it's that I won't stop loving you… because I can't stop loving you.." she leaned down and in the mess of her feelings and tears kissed him gently before pulling away and turning around, falling to the ground and crying beneath the alter they set him on, where Eggman was also laid to see if he'd wake up.
Sonic's fingers twitched, and slowly his eyes blinked. He quickly looked around and grew a bit frightened, closing them, and knowing and hearing what everyone done. He closed them again because he heard Amy getting up, and moving back over to say something more.
She laid her head down to weep over him, as he slightly opened one eye to peek at her, and then smiled, before playing dead again.
"I…I love you so much… please don't leave us here… we all need you and love you, Sonic… you're so important to us… to the WORLD. I'm begging you… this whole legend of 'great power' is a lie! Because the greatest power on earth is your will, my love, Tails's wit, and Knuckle's brawns! We can't win without you, Sonic!"
"…That's nice to know."
Amy gasped as her head flung up, looking at Sonic as he grinned from ear to ear, and winked at her. "You were right." he stated, and leaned up, holding a hand to her side since she was slightly pulling away from him in shock. "It was an 'act' of pure love, not pretty words."
"..S…Son-?"
"Haha, what gives, Amy? One minute you're crying over me and confessing all you're heart felt feelings and the next,-? You're tongue tied and look like you've seen a ghost! haha!" he laughs, as she's too happy to see him to care.
"SONIC!" she cries out, jumping up and hugging him as he starts to lean back and they both fall to the other side of the alter as she showers him with kisses.
The only thing the camera can see though, is Sonic's legs in the air, still laying on the alter as they move and kick, showing he's trying to get her off of him. "Amy! I-*kiss noise from Amy* stop that, I-! *more kisses from Amy*, AAAMYY!" As he's struggling to get up, the gang rush in to see Sonic's legs kicking and hitting the alter, as they realize what's probably going on… and awkwardly smile while being glad that Sonic's back, before Eggman realizes he needs to get the HECK out of there and tip-toes away, avoiding the mist at all cost…
However, Sonic doesn't know there's an audience yet… as the camera turns back to Amy on Sonic, as he's literally up against the alter backwards and only his shoulders really on the ground from falling and he's slowly slipping more onto his back, Amy's got her hands on the ground before slowly moving herself down and now just sitting, still trying to get a few more kisses on his cheeks…and pretty much his whole face.
"Would you stop that!? I only needed one to wake up! Now I feel violated!" he complained, moving her away a bit.
"Ohh! You don't mean that!~"
"Trust me! I mean it! You said I was honest, right?! Well, honestly, you're a beautiful woman but- GET OFF!"
Tails and Knuckles quickly 'ehem' as the two suddenly realize their not alone… Sonic quickly gets up and leans on the alter, acting like he's TOTALLY not with Amy behind the alter trying to kiss him or anything… "OH, HEY GUYS~" he tries to put on his best smile, but worry strikes his face when Amy giggles and pokes her head up. Tails and Knuckles look at her, and then to Sonic, as if they totally got what had happened.
"True love's kiss?" Tails asked.
"….It's not what it looks like." Sonic tries to make an excuse but Amy just jumps on him and he ends up falling off screen and arguing cutely with her as she still is ecstatic he's alive. Knuckles and Tails laugh and roll their eyes before coming to his 'rescue' and getting the bro-hug they so needed.
Later that day, Sonic pulls Amy to the side once Tails and Knuckles are out of sight, and playfully glares at her. "I know this is kinda a lame excuse, but I'm not the kind of man who just let's a woman kiss him to save his life and doesn't do anything about it."
"…What?" Amy is confused by that, as he just rolls his eyes and puts his arm around her and his other hand up to her face.
"What I mean is…" he leans in and gently kisses her back, "Thank you."
"…Oh Son-~" Amy's about to swoon when he places a finger on her mouth to stop her.
"And this never happened." he states with a smile and pats her head, "Everything goes back to the way it was, and with that!" he suddenly takes off at the speed of sound, carrying a sonic boom with him.
"….You son of a…" she pulls out her hammer, "SPEEDY BLUE DEMON JERK WHO MESSES WITH YOUNG GIRL'S HEARTS! GET BACK HERE!" she chases after him, as all seems to resume to normal, but Sonic still has to push Amy away sometimes… when she feels she could maybe get 'lucky' with another 'act of true love' scenario again..
(This would have to be like… the 4th season or something XD A lot would need to build for that. As I have the theory that Sonic Boom might just have Amy start FALLING in love with Sonic, and not already be in love with him. -but that's probably not the case- anyway, again, this wouldn't happen in the show at ALL unless on some FAR OFF SEASON way down the line XD anyway, enjoy~ This was meant to be Canon!Universe so meh. XP)
