leogirardi asked:

Could you make a story where Sonic and Blaze switch roles? (Similar to what you did with Sonic and Amy) I love your stories

cutegirlmayra answered:

I'm guessing the role-reversal ones? And thank you! I'll do my best to try and capture the spirit of Blaze in Sonic, and the spirit of Sonic in Blaze! Also, thank you, and I you, leo-san!

Previous Role reversals: (x) (x) (x) (x)

Also, did you mean 'switch personalities' with that role change? Or just have Blaze be the hero and Sonic the hero he didn't know he was? Just double-checking! lol

PROMPTS ARE ON SHUTDOWN! just two more after this one… I can do this!… if you can please not submit a new prompt until I'm done and announce the grand reopening, I would be very grateful lol xD I believe in us, guys!

Prompt:

"We're not gonna reach that converter in time." Sonic dropped to his feet and elegantly brought himself up, one small roll of the spine until he was fully looking straight ahead, up at the Eggman vortex that was sucking all the time energy into a chaotic loop.

"Don't worry, I've got this!" Blaze, burning through his serious demeanor, flew right by him with her hands shooting out fire. She turned back to wink confidently to Sonic, "Leave it to me! I'll burn a hole right through that thing!"

Sonic watched a moment in respect and awe for Blaze's attitude before nodding with a slight smile, closing his eyes. "I can trust you… Blaze." He sped off after her, running upon the ground as he thought to himself. 'I can always trust what Blaze says… She's the kind of person that does what she sets out to do. I shouldn't feel this way… so full of doubt.' Sonic looked up to the sky, 'If I believe in her… why can't I believe in myself, too?'

Sonic jumped from floating rock to tumbling floating rock like a speeding arrow, trying to get up close to where Blaze was.

He stopped on a large piece of land and looked up to her, "Blaze!"

She looked down, blasting some rocks and trying to disconnect the mechanized points that kept the vortex's portal open.

She grinned charmingly and held out her hand to him. "Come on, Sonic!"

The distance looked so far…

"Can I… really take that far of a leap?" Sonic looked at his feet, "…I have to try!" with great courage and determination, Sonic bundled his fist and jumped, reaching out to Blaze's hand.

When the two hands did connect, the Sol Emeralds spiraled around Sonic.

Burning Blaze was already using her power to start taking out the dimensional beings that were trying to rip their way into their world, but with Sonic by her side, now using the Chaos Emeralds to power himself up to Super Sonic, they were able to start moving like a well-oiled machine.

"You're doing it, Sonic!" Blaze called out, complimenting him as Sonic would expertly use his trained skills to precisely hit and keep back the monsters on the other side. They would fly back into the oblivion of space.

Sonic didn't know how to take praise well but smiled, turning to affectionally admire Blaze, "Thanks to you."

"Nah, I'm only a friend." Blaze flipped herself around in the air, gesturing with her hand as she faked 'laying down' on the job while in the air.

The antic made Sonic lightly chuckle, but it was quiet and quaint. "I admire your carefree nature, Blaze. But now's really not the time for such tomfoolery."

Blaze looked amazed to hear that, and flew down to him, "Come on, Sonic! If you don't have time to smile and joke around every now and then, how will you ever laugh and enjoy what's right in front of you?" She passed by him, waving an iconic and heroic finger around but Sonic just shook his head.

"What's right before me is a giant wormhole about to burst forth into my world." Sonic began, but Blaze quickly cut him off again, zipping back up to his face.

"Ah-ha! See? That's what's the problem. Not the wormhole." She teased, and flew by his side, gesturing as she spoke again, "You can't always live life looking at one problem at a time… instead, live as though you see the present joys. We're fighting together, we're one in purpose, and we're awesome, blazin' heroes!" She shoved a fist up into the air in her enthusiasm. "We're-!"

"…Friends." Sonic concluded, nodding out a little bit so Blaze could see him as he commented.

Blaze, embarrassed she wasn't keeping eye contact, smiled and scratched behind her head. "Right! Exactly!"

Sonic chuckled again, "I think I see now. Thank you, Blaze. I'll keep these things in mind… while trying to still close the dimensional breach."

"Thatta girl!" Blaze smacked Sonic's back, almost awakening him back to the fray of battle and charged off.

Sonic stared off at Blaze, a true comet in a dark night…

He found himself making a wish by accident… He didn't want to disappoint Blaze, but he also didn't want to live his life always worrying about the future, never feeling good enough no matter how hard he trained and honed his skills… this time, for once…

He looked at his hands.

"I will be a Blazin' Hero." He took a deep breath, and with his super-charged self, found the power he needed to team up with Blaze and truly close Eggman's portal forever!

At the end, with the battle won, the two floated down with hands together, looking over the beautiful blue sky that had returned.

They looked to each other and laughed, as Blaze nodded and let her hand go. "It's good to see it."

"See what?" Sonic asked, innocently curious.

"Heh," Blaze put her hands to her hips and tapped her foot to the ground a moment, looking away before realizing Sonic didn't really get it at all.

"Your smile." she tapped her own face. "I'm glad you still have it."

Sonic lightly put a hand to his mouth, still stunned by Blaze's wise but charming words. He nodded again, "Yes. It does feel good." He laughed again.

Looking back to Blaze, he gave her a soft gaze of admiration, "I hope to remain your friend… Blaze."

Blaze gave her a bigger grin, "Absolutely! But no need to hope!" She positioned herself right in front of Sonic, "We're already friends!"

Sonic's heart filled with pride, "Thank you." He bowed slightly, and then… gave her a thumbs up.

"Hey! Now we're talking!" She gave him one back.
