Prompt: (Boom!Sonic) A "now or never" love confession between Sonic and Amy. Either an intense and dangerous situation or final battle is happening where one of them thinks both of them aren't going to make it, thus confessing their feelings before it's too late. Either Sonic or Amy will confess, depending who you think will do it first. Bonus points if there is a kiss and/or Tails & Knuckles tease them afterwards.

Prompt:

Lyric's large robotic lizard (reboot of biolizard?) is servery damaged, but it's still not going down! The gang is exhausted when-

"Sonic.. I don't think.. we can make it." Amy huffed, as suddenly the Robot Lizard thrashed it's tail and it came whirling toward Amy.

"Amy!" Sonic dashes and is able to just get Amy out of harms way, but gets hit in the process, and spirals off as Amy gets up and runs after him.

"Sonic!"

Tails and Knuckles continue to fight, only because they can't get away from the massive foot of the Robot Lizard. "Sonic!" they both call out, "Amy!" They dodge another missile attack, since the Lizard has missile launchers all the way up it's long neck.

While their under massive fire, Amy parts some bushes to find Sonic, laying on his back and looking out cold, eyes close.

Amy covers her mouth in horror and rushes to his side, dropping to her knees as she looks him over, terrified he's hurt because of her. "No! Sonic! Please! Please get up!" she tries to push and shove him to wake up, but he's not budging.

"Sonic… No please… not for me! Don't you DARE die for me!" she starts to cry, laying her head on his chest as she hears the roar of the Robotic lizard in the background. She raises her head and looks off towards it, and then back to Sonic.

"We need you… more than ever… You're are leader, and are friend… Oh please, Sonic… I… I need you. I can't even picture continuing my life like this without you! You may be a jerk sometimes, but I still..! I still…! I LOVE YOU, YOU BIG IDIOT! NOW GET UP! GET UP!" she starts screaming while she cries, letting herself fall on him before suddenly his noise twitches, making a cute animated sound as she perks her head up to look at it, and then looks down at Sonic.

"Heh… love me, huh?" Sonic opens an eye slightly, smirking wickedly. "I always had a hunch you were into me."

Amy is in shock that he's actually awake, before getting incredibly upset by his deceit and starts whacking him with her hands, pounding his chest and what not in a flustered rage.

"HOW COULD YOU?! YOU JERK! JERK, JERK, JERK!"

"Haha! Hey! I was only resting, come on now…" he holds up his hands to block most of her hits before sitting up slightly and putting his arm on her back, pushing her up against him real quick. "I never even get to answer? I mean, we could be dead in a few minutes." he looked back at the Robotic Lizard and then to a speechless Amy, who clearly wanted to say a billion things but Sonic's sudden uncharacteristic action left her stunned and paralyzed.

He leaned slightly closer to her face…

And grinned a closed smile, "I always thought you were kinda cute. Tough,.. but kinda cute." he winked and let her go, jumping up and starting to stretch his legs and arms.

"Alright! Now that that's over with!"

"O-over with!?"

"Let's get this thing down to it's knees! Shall we?" he looked back and threw her a thumbs up and another wink. "I can't do this without you either… Amy." He held out his hand to help her out, and even through everything that just happened, she couldn't stay mad at him for to long.

Once she took his hand and he helped her up, she ran next to him asking, "So.. how cute are we talking about?"

"Heh-ha!"

"W-wait, was that all you were gonna say!? Even if that was the end?! 'Oh, hey Amy, I think your cute', that's it!?"

"Cute AND tough. geez, give me more credit Amy, I mentioned more than that!"

"Ohhh! you are so frustrating sometimes!"

They defeat the Robotic Lizard and Lyric, using their tightly formed friendship to summon up the perfect team. (Sorry, I just couldn't have them kiss then… it's just not in Sonic's personality, especially since a fight is going on XD You'd think that would be his priority, lol! he can't waste anymore time, he has more friends than Amy that need him, you know?!)
