for sonamy... what about one where Sonic is upset and Amy tries to console him? Idk if you did it already (there must be 60+ by now) but like, there's a lot with upset Amy, but if Sonic was upset - maybe he failed at a mission? I headcanon he's got a bit of a phobia of failing ;) - Amy would definitely do anything to see him smile again? Idk I thought it might be funny - the others would try too, but Amy's a bit more emotional/patient so she's more likely to figure out why he's sad... :) 3 you

I completely agree with you~ This is a great idea! I've had it before ;) (*cough* 70+… actually. EHEM. Anyway~) I do believe he hates failing, so I'm guessing this is the regular canon? Eh? Eh? You didn't say, so I'm going with it. But I do feel Amy is a HUGE motivational speaker so get ready for the pep talk of a century! -cracks Knuckles- -he screams- (lol, I love making that joke xD)
(It took forever to find a picture where they were just sitting together. I wanted a behind the back view but… this will do. -sigh-)
Prompt:
Dark.
Darker than nights should be.
The stars and moon were barely shining but at least they were something Sonic could look at.
It had been too close.
Closer than he would of liked, and Eggman… well, Tails got one of his tails burnt up a bit, but the fur would grow back. He, himself, had a rather unfortunate turn with his arm getting cut up pretty bad, but the bandages hid most of it, and Amy did say it wouldn't leave a scar.
Still… Eggman had won.. he had taken the master emerald and powered up his machine. What he would do with that machine? No one really knew quite yet… he went off into hiding, and all Sonic could think about.. was how he failed not only his friend, the world, but… himself.
"…Sonic?"
Sonic jolted slightly, and barely moved his head to look back at Amy's soft voice.
"… Hm. I thought I might find you here. It's your favorite cliff… after all.." he was on a rather large formation, a crescent of land that hung over a large plain that lead to forest and then the mountains. It was one place Sonic could feel alone, him, and the tree that stood back a bit from the edge. He always wondered if it was planted or naturally grown there, either way, it was his resting place… and right now, his thinking spot too.
"Amy… I'm kinda,… not in the mood." he looked away, back towards the darkened green plains and the twinkling sky, seeing some small whispy clouds move over the moon, which made him a bit more sadder that now his view was even turning ugly.
Amy tried not to get gloomy from his reaction, and instead, slowly skipped over to him. "You know… Everyone has a moment of doubt sometimes.."
"…Doubt? Heh, I'm not in denial, Amy. I know exactly what happened… I… I failed." he looked down, not wanting to make eye contact nor wanting this discussion. "There's no doubt in that." he weakly chuckled out.
"…Sonic, I meant doubting that you can't still beat Eggman." she bent down a little, and smiled kindly to him. "You are really strong. But every great man had a great loss." Amy looked up into the sky, and got up again, reaching out her hands towards the moon.
Sonic looked confused at her, "…what are you doing?" he raised an eyebrow, and smiled. She was at least entertaining…
"I'm going to grab the moon!" she exclaimed, twiddling her fingers out to it.
"… is this some kind of lesson?" Sonic smirked, trying to figure out her game here. "Cause I think I found a great woman's loss. Her wits." he chuckled out.
"Hmph!" Amy dropped her hands to puff up her cheek at him, and kicked him on his side.
"Ay! Watch it…" he moved his arm away from her, but didn't like her action, even if he deserved it.
"You think I failed?"
"Well… no duh?" he slightly shrugged. "I mean, you can't catch the moon, it's huge!"
"…Sonic, get up." She smirked.
"What?"
"Come on, I'll show you that I caught the moon!"
He slowly got up, but she helped him move a little faster. "What on earth are you-" she took his hands and moved him in front of her, and then made his hands into a crescent as she held them up around the moon's frame.
"Look… you can't literally grab the moon,… but you can hold it." in the palm of his hands, and from his eye's point of view, he was holding the moon, and he lowered his hands to look them over, and then look behind him as Amy moved from behind him to his side. "You may have lost the emerald, but you can still win the war." she smiled. "Just like you can't really touch the moon, but you can still hold it in the palm of your hands."
"…I don't really get it… but… I kinda do at the same time." Sonic looked up at the moon, holding his hand to his hip and letting the other one just hang at his side. Amy kept her hands behind her back, looking up at the moon as the clouds faded by, making it shine more brilliantly again. "I may not been able to get the emerald today, but tomorrow, I can still save the world, I can still be a hero. I guess sometimes you have to fail, at least, every once in a while. Still… I hate to see a limit."
"That's not what I meant." Amy scolded, making Sonic jump back a bit at her cold and harsh tone at his failure to understand her.
"Great… now I'm failing at understanding you, too." he sighed out, a little annoyed now.
She glared a bit, but with a smile, showing she meant no ill will. "There's always a limit,… but you don't have to see it that way." She grabbed his hand. "You may have lost the emerald, but you saved Tails's life, and you kept Eggman from doing further harm to anyone else. You even gave up your own arm to keep Tails safe…" She lightly moved her hand from his up to his arm, and held it gently.
"…Oh. I see." Sonic smiled looking down and folding his arms, making sure her hand didn't linger too much on his hurt arm. "You know… You always say the weirdest things but…" he looked up at the sky. "There always the right things."
"Hehe~ Makes you think you should marry me, just for the insight, huh?" she nudged him playfully, and he looked back to her a little awkwardly.
"Don't ruin it." he stated, and she beamed.
(I hope that made sense! x Like, he was thinking to literal about his 'loss' but that fact of the matter is, he wasn't really a failure, because there's no limit. If you see it another way, you didn't really fail. His friends are safe, but he lost the emerald. You can't touch the moon, but you can still hold it. Does that make sense? He lost, but if you look at it a different way, he really didn't lose anything. I hope that clears it up a bit more xD I GET SO SELF-CONCIOUS ABOUT THESE THINGS I SWEAR.)

I'm feeling happy, so, here's a prompt! (Modern) Eggman tries to capture Amy in an attempt to lure Sonic. Of course, it works, and Sonic finds himself and Eggman making witty comebacks at each other. It was when Eggman said something bad about Amy,(Like she's crazy, or stupid or something) that Sonic started to get protective and tries to defend her, he even says something about her being "cute"(Optional). All while Amy is watching the whole thing...(was that too out of character? D: ) GO!
cutegirlmayra answered:
Nah, I can probably work with that :) I love playing Eggman and Sonic bantering off on one another, and in one of my fanfictions, he actually does insult Amy, but SHE DEFENDS HERSELF and burns him to where he has to engage his robot and is left without saying a comeback. XD (it's pretty freakin' epic. Eggman vs. Super Amy) but anyway, here we go~
(that fanfiction was 'Sonic Supers!' btw~)
Prompt:
"Another typical capture, Eggman? Ha, I should be so flattered. But I tend to wonder Egghead,… What do your peers think of you picking on little girls?"
"Ohh! Don't spit those morals out on ME, Sonic! You know full well I just needed a way to get you here! She's useless now!"
We start off with Sonic lead into yet another trap by Dr. Eggman, how was that you asked? Simple, during a 'forced date' with Amy. She left his side for only a second before Eggman scooped her up and lead Sonic all the way out to the middle of no where. A crater in the center of a desert.
"You should know by now, Eggy. If you ever need me, you just have to ring." Sonic adjusted his gloves, happy he was finally let off the hook and didn't have to go on that boring date anymore, but wasn't really concerned about Amy. He knew Eggman wouldn't hurt her now that he had him right where he wanted him.
He actually expected him to just drop her down and let them duke it out… but maybe that was just wishful thinking?
"Ha, like you have a phone number…" Eggman mumbled out, crossing his arms as he suddenly started raging and hitting his Eggpod, "But besides that! It's time! I've finally found a way to completely destroy you and your egotistical cockiness for your own speed!"
"Stick to Bingo, old man. There's no WAY anything can beat my speed!" he kicked the ground behind him and got into a battle ready pose, "Now let Amy go and let's see what you've got for me this time!"
"Heh, very well…" He clicked a button and Amy's containment pod was dispatched, as she hit the ground in it pretty hard.
"Amy!"
"Oops! Too high up for you, princess?"
Amy slowly got up in her clear pod and shook her head, enraging Sonic.
"Eggman! I thought you better than that!" he spat out, swishing his arm out in front of him.
"Oh? Did I strike a nerve? Come on now, Sonic. In a weird sense of it, I'm technically saving you by destroying you and getting you out of the date you obviously DIDN'T want to be on. Honestly, you should be thanking me." he fluttered his hand out to exaggerate his words, before placing his hand on his chest and smiling widely. "To be frank, I'm not even quite sure why you put up with her. Are you really THAT lonely? I'd think not, but the data states otherwise… I mean, she's not even that cute."
Sonic looked shocked by the insult Eggman just dropped and quickly turned his gaze to Amy, who was looking up at Eggman and looked just as shocked as he was. She slowly lowered her gaze to the side and seemed very troubled, turning her head as to not cry it seemed.
Sonic's eyes narrowed, as he clutched his fist. "That's it Eggman… now you've gone too far…"
"Hmm? What's wrong? I'm only stating fa-"
"OPINION!" Sonic had rushed to the Crator's edge, getting as close as he could to Eggman, before jumping off and driving a punch in his egg-shaped face. Eggman's Eggpod was spun off, as Sonic landed and rushed to Amy.
"S..Sonic." Amy looked teary eyed, but wasn't exactly crying yet, just hurt.
"Don't listen to old farts like him." Sonic gestured back to Eggman behind him with his head, having his hands on the pod that she was still stuck in. She moved up and placed her hands on the pod too, directly where his hands were. "Our dates might not, exactly, be my thing… but Eggman's lost his eyesight after all these years. You're beautiful." He smiled, before seeing her face light up as she giggled and seemed overjoyed.
Her reaction made him a bit shy and skittish about what he just admitted, and he looked away, before slightly chuckling and looking back at her. "Man… if he could only see that smile…" Sonic teased, as Amy giggled again.
"..Hmm… perhaps those 'dates' aren't all 'forced' after all.." Eggman rubbed his face, thinking carefully about what just happened and Sonic's strange actions. "…Well-ba-hum-ba!" he shook his head quickly, letting his lips go everywhere as he tried to snap out of it. He was, for a moment, actually thinking Sonic may harbor some secret feelings for Amy, but he quickly threw that out of his head. "Hmph, since you're so pre-occupied with protecting your precious Amy's dignity, I suppose I'll have to find other means of luring you out. Consider this a draw for now, Sonic! And I hope you loathe the rest of your little date with her." Eggman decided to pull out, seeing as Sonic really knocked him good, and he didn't want to anger him any further than that.
"Meet me back here by sun down. If you're not still, otherwise, engaged…" he glared at Amy, who stuck her tongue out at him and spit like a immature child. This action made Sonic laugh, as he started loosening the screws and getting Amy out.
"I'll see you there, Egghead! After all… you have a bedtime right?" Sonic looked to Amy, who puffed up her cheek and swat a hand at him, but lightly, as he let it roll off his cheek and laughed.
(there you have it! 8D MAN! I really love writing Eggman being insulting and Sonic putting him in his place! lol!)
