Prompt:
It's Christmas time at the old hub as our gang rush to get everyone something nice.
…Except for a forgetful and lazy blue Hedgehog who had no idea he was suppose to get everyone something.
Rushed for time, he quickly begins to think up a plan…
Chirstmas comes along and Sonic seems to be getting everything he never knew he wanted! Stricken with guilt, he tells everyone to exchange gifts while he 'brings in' his own present for the gang.
Rushing to find something better than what he sloppily put together, and wanting something truly grand for his team, he ends up fighting just what he needs!
…However, Eggman's trusted side-bots, Orbot and Cubot, (I heard Orbot was revealed in a picture, but I didn't see Cubot. I'm assuming their in the show though. But I could be wrong…) are trying to get Eggman the SAME THING. Realizing Eggman had gifted all his robots with weapons, extra oil to drink too, and other such things, he apparently was expecting something 'EGG-strodinary' from them, too!
Fighting for their lives, and Sonic's friendship with his gang, they both fight to get what the other needs.
In the end, Orbot and Cubot win! D: leaving Sonic to improvise yet again…
He returns to the hub in complete guilt and defeat, as the gang doesn't realize at first…
"Hey, Buddy! You've been gone sometime… you alright? …Ah! I get it! My presents to big and heavy for just you to lift all on your own, right? That's alright, I'll keep my eyes closed while I carry it in!" Knuckles patted Sonic's back, before closing his eyes and extending his hands out.
"Y-yeah…heh, that's it." he gloomily responds, faking a smile and heading over to flop down on the couch, rubbing his face down with his hands.
"..Sonic? Is everything okay?" Tails asked, walking over to him and leaning on the edge of the couch's back.
"…No. Listen,.. fellas I… well, I need to confess. Can you guys come here for a second?" Sonic brought the team around him, as Amy sat next to him, putting a hand on his leg.
"What's the matter, Sonic? You're not in a very Christmas-y mood.."
"That's just it. I forgot it was Christmas… you all we're so hush-hush about it, sneaking in presents and all, that I didn't even realize it WAS Christmas!"
The team gasped.
"So… what your saying is… AHH! I DON'T GET ANOTHER PRESENT!" Knuckles flung his hands to his head, leaning back in total disappointment.
"Knuckles!" Amy scolded, "Listen, Sonic. It's not… well, completely your fault… and besides, Christmas isn't about the presents."
"It's not?" both Sonic and Knuckles looked to her, blinking their eyes.
"Of course not, you two knuckle-heads." Tails rolled his eyes.
"HEY!" Knuckles and Sonic looked to Tails, as if he offended them both.
"Don't rack me in with this lout!" They both pointed to the other.
Amy sighed, "Look. You've spent all Christmas trying to find us presents, but the biggest present of all is just having you here with us."
"Pfft, are you sure?" Knuckles folded his arms, looking away as Amy hammered him on the head. "YE-OUCH!"
"Yes. I'm sure." she smiled, smug as a bug as she settled back in her seat next to Sonic.
"Still… I appreciate that Amy, but.. I still feel bad." he looked away, as Tails smiled a moment.
"Well… if you REALLY want to make it up to us~" he grinned.
… Each Team member gets to have a 'favor' or 'wish' granted by Sonic that he can't refuse~
This was Knuckles's…
"..Are you three serious?"
"Do it."
"Come on, dude. Christmas miracle. right here."
"Just don't quit!"
"…Well.. if this'll make it up to you… Come at me, you darn ape!"
Sonic, for his friends entertainment, went mud wrestling in the local dug-outs where fighters came to win some game and fortunes.
Seeing Sonic get down and dirty, fighting some wrestlers was exactly what the team wanted apparently.
"Get him, Sonic!"
"Ohh!… right in the noggin'!"
"Give him the slip, Sonic!"
"Woah! I'm slipping as it is!" Sonic called back, sliding in the mud.
"haha, okay next is my wish." Tails stated.
….. This is Tails's wish…
"TAIIILLLSS!"
"Hold on! Just give me two more seconds! My experiment is almost complete!"
"I FEELLLLL LIKKKKEE A HAAMMMSSTTER!"
Sonic was stuck in a spinning wheel, running and unable to stop due to the wheel spinning so fast, as he grew dizzy. Tails wanted to test Sonic's speed, but he tripped and started flipping around.
"Sonic!"
"I'm-oh-oh-kay-ay-ay-ay!"
…And lastly, Amy's wish…
"…Well, this beats mud wrestling and treating me like a guinea pig, any day!"
"Hehe~"
Sonic had agreed to take Amy on a date, as she had purposefully stopped UNDER something~
Sonic kept walking, before turning around and looking at her funny. "What?"
She twiddled her fingers and looked up.
A beautiful mistletoe…
"…! Oh no." Sonic held his hands out in front of him, scared to DEATH of what she was gesturing too.
She looked away, still waiting…
"Amy, please. We just had a nice dinner. I even held your hand in front of EVERYONE. Please! I'm begging you." he got on his knees.
"…A wish is a wish~" she continued to look away, blushing.
"..I..Ah.." he nervously got up, not looking to her as he scratched his head.
"Grr…" he fought a little against it… but then puckered his lips and leaned forward.
Amy looked ecstatic, as she slowly leaned in…
before-
"Oh sweet! A mistletoe! Come here, cutie!" A boy behind her hadn't realized Sonic was there, coming out of the door and looking up, right in the middle of the two, as he took Amy and kissed her, before walking away with his friend high-fiving him.
"Sweet, dude! And she was totally surprised!"
"….."
"…Amy…Amy, I'm sorry…" Sonic looked terrified, seeing her expression look grim as her eyes were hidden in shadows.
"Amy… Amy I was going to but then-..Amy I.."
She summoned her hammer.
He jolted. "I'm sorry!" he squeaked out in fright, before dashing away as she raced through the streets after him.
"SSONNNNIIIICC!"
