Boom: Something about luck? Maybe the whole crew bar sonic are all frightened they got cursed and sonic is trying to prove them wrong, but it just so happens that he's just been so unlucky lately: he'll walk under a ladder then slip on some mud, only furthering the gang's superstitions! It turns out eggman is behind it, yadda yadda yadda defeating etc. and then sonic makes fun of them all, amy in particular. Idk how this is Sonamy tbh but nevermind :P

I'd like to say that not ALL of my headcanons that I write from these prompts have to be Sonamy related :) I'm more than happy to write for practically anything as long as I can somehow make it canon-ish. (except for Sonic boom, because we really don't know the canon of that series yet, so everything is hypothetical to what the show runners would allow and such.)

Sonic and the crew are sadly not having the best of luck it seems…
Sticks is convinced Sonic's jinxed himself by saying all the good things that are going to happen today, but he keeps running through superstitions and causing Knuckles and Amy to start thinking that maybe he has jinxed himself.
Eggman's goonies show up to cause some trouble but Sonic seems to be missing every blow as they steal some precious supplies from the village.
worried about his image, he decides to take it up with Tails… "What do you think?"
"Well, you know me, I don't believe in those kinda things-ah, ladder."
"Wha-OFFPH!" Sonic walked under a ladder and slipped on some mud, lifting his head up and grumbling as a black cat walked by him, pretty enough to catch his eye for a moment before Amy slammed her hammer down on him. "Ye-ouch! Okay! I believe it! Bad luck exists! Quickly, Tails! you have to find out where it's coming from!" He grips Tails's chest hair and holds him up to him, panicking.
"O-okay, now hold on…"
Tails is forced to scan Sonic, "I don't see anything out of the ordinary. You're as healthy as an apple." he concludes, putting his results down.
Sonic is covered in lucky horseshoes and even has a small rabbit sitting by him as he clings to it's foot. "Are you sure?"
"I've found the four leaf clover!" Amy barges in, and lightly puts it on his ear, as if it was a flower, and then places her hands together, "Aw~ So lovely!"
"Pfft, as long as it works!" Sonic folded his arms, as the rabbit kicked him profusely and then ran away.
Later that day…
"I..I'm doomed to be a failure now, aren't I?" Sonic looked down in the dumps, as he had a hand holding up his head, still having all the lucky charms all around him, but he ditched the rabbit's foot, and sighed miserably. "How am I gonna be a hero if I can't even win the battles!"
"Oh, Sonic…" Amy sat next to him on the tree branch, looking out over the village. "I think you're lucky." She stated, patting his back.
"Pfft! What makes you say that?" he rolled his eyes.
"W-well… you've got friends, a wonderful career option, food, a place to live,-" she was rambling and so Sonic stopped her with his hand.
"Alright, alright… I'm luckier than most. I get it." he smiled, "But you know what? I'm really lucky to have you too."
Amy blushed, as he looked out over the village, not looking back at her as she smiled to herself and looked away.
"You and the others. All my friends." he lifted his leg up to hold it, and let the other one dangle below, as Amy twitched and realized he meant that for everyone, not just her.
Even more later~
Eggman attacks and reveals he's been setting Sonic up to believe in bad luck this whole time! Wanting to crush his spirits but Sonic's little talk with Amy made him believe he wasn't so unlucky after all.
Hearing the truth, he ditches the charms and renews his trust and belief in his abilities as he trumps Eggman once more! Leaving the village safe and Sonic with his ego again!
And boy,… does he show off and gloat all over again…
"Yeah, single-handedly knocked that old egg-head off his little hovercraft. Ha! You should of seen his face!" as Sonic boasted, Amy rolled her eyes, as Tails just sighed and the two of them held Knuckles back from wanting to knock him out so he couldn't talk anymore.
"WE ALL FOUGHT TOGETHER, SONIC!"
"Give it a rest, Knuckles… let him restore his confidence…" Amy sweat dropped.
"Hmph, can you believe it was only a second ago when he was actually humble for once?"

(This isn't very 'canony' but I think in Sonic Boom Sonic might be more open to the idea of 'charming banter' with her while fighting,… but I doubt it would be on purpose ^^; But for this prompt to work, I'll make it on purpose, k?)
The gang is off on a bumpy start as Sonic seems to be pressing all the wrong buttons with the gang.
Determined to not lose his friendship with them and be better towards them, he begins to discover little ways to improve his standings with the gang, and not be so 'annoying' or 'stuck up', 'do-it-all and leave the rest behind', or- (well, you get the idea…).
For Tails, he flies around with him and helps learn about the X-Tornado, even learning some technical jargon to brighten Tails up for the day.
With Knuckles, they had a hardy meal and some training, as Sonic then told jokes and pretended to laugh at Knuckles's poorly told jokes and puns.
With Amy… he was helping cook, and decided to have some fun with her little 'crush' on him…
"You're looking swell, Amy!" He stated, on the battlefield. The team was fighting yet another scheme of Eggman's, but this was Sonic's other way of trying to be a better friend, and according to Tails and Knuckles… Girl's like compliments!
"Heh, not too bad yourself! But thanks for noticing! You may gaze upon me with no charge~" she teased, bowing and gesturing to herself in a flashy way, before winking at him and taking off.
"…What?" Sonic smirked, not sure if she was purposefully trying to be flirty or not. He figured she was and moved away from the others, deciding to fight alongside her, and get his two cents in for being a 'good friend' to Amy today…
"Hey! Nice hammer swing! You're not showing off just to impress little old me, are ya?" He hit a robot away from striking her back, as she turned around and lowered her eyelids, seeming like the attention he was giving her.
"Oh my, he noticed!" she acted all fakely dramatic, as she threw her head back and placed the back of her hand on her forehead. "Whatever is a girl to do but look pretty for a man? Is that it? Why don't you put in your effort and work a little for me, hmm?" she teased.
"…Heh." Sonic felt slightly insulted, and decided to give her a little 'show' as he graced the scene and showed off his power before taking out some robots. At the end of his spin dash, he fell to the ground and lifted up his head, slow motion hair flipping, as sweat fell off like shimmering raindrops and the sun shone behind him. "Why Amy,-" he looked to her, smirking, and struck a pose. "I never needed to try~"
She giggled, swooning but keeping it to herself. "If only I could have some of that…" she muttered, and rolled her eyes. She had her hammer down and was leaning on it in front of herself, having her two hands lay on the bottom of it's holder as she rested her head there. "Okay, Hotshot. What's the game?"
"Huh?" Sonic jumped down, unsure of what she meant. "What game?"
"Do you want something? You'd never flirt with me otherwise." she took her hammer and swung it over her head with a precise kick at it's bottom, swinging it up to her right shoulder, as the other hand rested on her hip. "Or… are you really being…" she gulped, seeming to blush a little and get slightly excited and nervous at the same time. "…serious.."
"…Amy." he dashed over to her, balancing on one leg and lifting the other up, having his hand on his chin stylishly and the other out to the side. "Have I ever been dishonest with you? Do I ever say something I don't mean? And you should know by NOW that I have every intention of saying what's on my mind. And guess what?" he tilted his head and dropped his position, moving to her side and deciding to have even MORE fun with this.
He leaned up to whisper in her ear, as her eyes shrunk in their sockets. "I'm thinking you're the cutest thing on the battlefield…" he dashed away, snickering to himself because, literally, she was the only 'cute' thing when it came to the competition being robots and men, but hey!
She didn't need to know that…
Amy blushed and felt her heart almost give out, slamming her hand to her chest to try and let the air out of her lungs that she was holding in.
"I think I met my quota for the day~" Sonic chimed, but didn't realize what being 'nice' to Amy would do later on…
She ended up acting like his 'girlfriend' the rest of the episode, and he was just to kind-hearted (And didn't want to die from a hammer beating!) to say otherwise…
He was the laughing stock of the hub…
