Prompt! :(Modern) Sonic was running around at night when he noticed Amy sitting on a cliff, watching the stars. He gets confused, and nervously walks up to her. Turns out, she okay, and they end up just having a cute little conversation while laying rather close to one another (But not too close, according to Sonic XD), watching the stars! :D OOH! I just thought of something, PUT A SHOOTING STAR IN THERE TOO!X3 (P.S:Just so you know, not all of my prompts are for advice, I LOVE to read them!:D)

((Lol, I didn't think they were XD and thank you SO MUCH I'm glad you enjoy them my friend. ^/^))

Hmm.. well, I like to think, when Sonic's all done and settling down for the day, that he can have little moments with Amy where they kinda bond a bit. So this goes perfectly with a moment I previously wrote and another moment I thought of. I'll just write the one I thought of XD

(This is so cute! v I found it and I'm just like, "AWWW!" XD)

OH CRAP. I FORGOT THIS WAS MODERN!

let me just~

(there we go XD This looks a little on the classic side… I wonder if anyone will ask me to do a Classic sonamy Headcanon -o- -le sigh~-)

Sonic went off for a usual run during the night, still having access energy left over from the battle against Eggman today. Running up to a cliff and looking out for a moment with his hands on his hips, taking a look at the stars and moon before him, loving the view.

It was one of many views,… but still, he liked to find a quiet but beautiful place where he could crash the night.

Sighing and stretching his arms a bit, he wandered over to a nearby long, grassy patch with about 2 flowers sticking up near the dirt and laid down. He usually slept in trees, but, eh. What's life without whimsy?

He felt the cool wind rush by as a sudden twig cracked somewhere behind him. Shoot his eyes open, he turned his body and looked back, getting up and scanning the bushes.

…Nothing…

He eyed it a little longer.

Then a curl in his lips formed when he saw something rustle and a faint red in the open spots of the leafs that covered the bushes.

"…Boo!" he shouted out quickly, and heard a high pitch 'YELP!'.

He laughed, rolling back on his back and kicking his legs up slightly before letting them drop and just going back to his relaxed state. "Amy…. it's too late for this.." he slightly complained, putting a hand to his head, and rubbing his eyes. "Can't you bother me in the morning?" he teased.

"Ohhh! I'm not trying to bother you! Hmph!" she stumbled out of the bushes, and looked a bit offended as she folded her arms, before looking back and seeing his guard wasn't up and he wasn't shying away like usual. "What'cha doin'?" She dropped her act and looked curiously over to him, tilting her head cutely.

"Nothin'. That's the point." he looked back at her and scoffed a laugh, not to offend her, but she really should of known he was trying to sleep for the night. "How'd you get all the way out here, anyway? A little far from home, right? And don't you have a bedtime?" He continued to tease, but was seriously curious about what drove her to come all this way out.

"You. Of course!~" she smiled, having traveled and tracked him to this very spot, which… was a hard endeavor to say the least. One Sonic thought was commendable and creepy all at the same time. "And I'm not a little girl!" she stomped her foot cutely on the ground, pouting her lips. "But you seem kinda… well…" she looked away, seeing he wasn't really being himself.

"…Heh, what? I'm just tried." He looked back at her, smiling. He knew she cared about his well being, but she really didn't have anything to worry about. "I'm fine."

She looked back to him and saw his reassuring smile, so she returned it and walked a little more toward him.

He seemed inviting…

"Tough day today? I didn't see you or Tails come back so I'm glad you look like you had a lot of fun, hehe! If your tried, then you must of schooled him good this time." she sat down and kinda bounced in spot, tilting to him as she winked with her compliment. "Did Eggman almost get'cha?"

"Heh, not a chance!" Sonic rolled his eyes, and then looked to her a bit funny, "You okay?"

"Hmm? Well… I missed you." she admitted, and looked back to him laying down next to her on the ground. "Do you ever miss me?"

"….Well…" Sonic looked away, back at the stars. "It's hard to miss something that's always there."

She seemed to take that the right way, and nodded. "Yeah. I'll never leave you, Sonic." she, too, looked to the stars.

Sonic took this chance to look at her, thinking a minute about what she said and then looking down, eyes closed, and huffing a single chuckle out. "Well… that's comforting." he stated, and beamed a little as he reached a hand up to the stars. "To me, my friends are always there. Kinda like the stars… always moving but… never really leaving…"

"…But more specifically, when it comes to me," Amy pointed to herself, and Sonic gave her a distasteful look as he bent his hand down from reaching the stars, seeing as she was looking for a different response from him.

He rolled his eyes and let her talk, not really wanting to move or leave due to the comfortable spot he had found. And after all, he was there first…

"I mean,…heh, umm…" she seemed to get more shy as she spoke, making Sonic's nonchalant attitude stop and turn to suspicion as he slowly moved his eyes back to her, wondering what she was getting at here. "W-well, what I mean is… Isn't there… I don't know, one thing.. you um… can think of that… is just for or about… me?" she looked away, fiddling with her fingers and hands as she seemed somewhat nervous to ask him. "I mean! I just think that… you know, you… don't you feel anything about me that's… well, different… then regular people?"

"…Yeah." Sonic stared at her, and she leaned back, shocked for a moment. "I mean, you're my friend."

She looked disappointed, and huffed. "Not what I meant..!" she glared back at him.

He laughed.

The stars started shooting across the sky, and Sonic leaned up to see it, as Amy's upset attitude dropped from her being as Sonic and her's eyes were swarmed with lights flying across them, seeing the beauty of the meteor shower.

"Woah.." Sonic softly let out his feeling of wonder at the view, as Amy's smile grew and her mouth opened wide.

"It's like magic!"

"Haha, you would say that."

"Well, it kinda is." she smiled back to him, and for a moment, the two stared at each other… not exchanging words as they looked back up at the sky.

"….Magic, huh?" he whispered, and then looked down, and back at Amy. "I guess that's what's different about you."

Amy turned to look at him a bit surprised, "What do you mean?" she asked.

"…You're so… full of…." he shrugged. "Baloney."

She puffed up her cheek in anger.

"But it's… nice to hear baloney sometimes…" he leaned back, laying down. "It gives you hope that… maybe someday… you'll also find the magic in the things of the world… it is a beautiful thing to see. Magic, I mean." he looked away, feeling a little awkward and not sure if he even got his point across.

Amy could identify the magic of the world? Did he mean the beauty of it? Amy was slightly confused, but smiled nonetheless.

"Hehe! Oh, Sonic!~ You make even the craziest things sound romantic!" she flopped down on him and started trying to cuddle up next to him, as he resisted and tried to push her off.

"H-hey! Quit that! Amy! A-Amy, stop! Get off of me! AMMMMMY!"

(I kinda switched it to 'Amy finding Sonic', it seemed more plausible that way. Anyway, I love the modern dynamic between these two~ I hope one day Modern Sonic will be more open with her, but until then, he'll always hide his thoughts and keep to himself x lonely little bugger. Anyway, hope you like it! I hope I love Boom!Sonamy's dynamic too… I just hope it isn't TOO off from canon x )
