Tried to think of a canon moment where Sonic cuddles
And
Amy is already asleep in the grass and he just… ever so lightly, lays down by her and awkwardly, checking multiple times to make sure she's still asleep with his eyes and also watching his hand as it moves over to gently embrace and just takes a deep breath out as he gets comfortable and adjusts himself, moving in closer to put his dipped forehead by her side-face quill…
Then she wakes up as he's already gone, gets up, rubs eyes… and looks to see a flower was placed down with a rock holding it in place.
She's not sure how it got there, just hovering a hand lightly by one of it's petals and then looks around.
She smiles and picks up the flower, goes to sniff it but…
It's Sonic's smell.
"Sonic?" She says out of curiosity, and looks around more adamantly now, getting up.
But it's only when she gets up that she realizes… she puts her hand over her mouth.
The grass is flattened… to create the silhouette of her… and Sonic sleeping beside her, his three quills very distinct in the smoothed over long grass.
The tree they were near, above them, had shadowed it out of her sight until she got up…
Now elated by the idea that he was with her, she rushes off to find him.

Probably not.
I could see Amy doting on them but trying to keep them focused, Charmy just pestering E-123 Omega who is earnestly trying to learn his objective from Amy, and then Eggman just sneaking away without issue.
He's the only one who wouldn't have an issue XDDDD lolol

I think Cream, Cheese, and Chocola would visit Knuckles, unaware that Vanilla asked Team Chaotix to find out where Cream has been sneaking off to lately. Espio follows but finds Metal Sonic is attacking while Knuckles is training them, having some experience in the Chao Races and also accepting (after some reluctance) to train Cream and them.
Metal Sonic is beaten and forced to flee, having orders to kidnap Cream and Cheese, but the three are too powerful and Knuckles is just amazed he didn't have to actually fight, he just coached them and they beat him themselves.
Espio is secretly helping during the whole battle, using the floating island's nature to keep Metal Sonic from fighting back, but giving Cream, Cheese, and Chocola the encouraging confidence to believe they have improved.
Both his and Knuckles's hearts are filled with pride, and Espio reports to Vanilla that she has nothing to worry about when Cream and the Chao come home with some nicks and bruises.
They're learning to be stronger heroes, and encourages her to trust his report that she's gonna be alright.
