Headcanon: So many years in the future, no one ever knows if Sonic someday will be in a relationship with someone or if he is gonna be single forever. But one day, after a battle, Sonic got really hurt and the only one who can recive information about his state is a familiar… everyone knows he has no one more than his friends, but then Amy apears and say: "I'm his wife".

Nobody belives her, they guess she is acting like her older self and they tell her she shouldn't act like that again.

What they didn´t know is that Sonic actually married her, so many years ago. They just liked keep their relationship as a secret… a very big secret… until that day

I have been summoned, therefore, I write–WITH PREMISSION!

"I'm sorry… But-"

"We heard you the first time, lady!" Charmy buzzed out as Team Chaotix had found where they had taken Sonic first. With such advanced injuries, of course the humans would have wanted to repay back Sonic for all he'd done to save their world, but…

"That isn't right. Sonic doesn't have any known family that we're aware of. And we're lightyears from-" Espio began to explain the situation before Vector crashed through the two and stomped on the counter directly beside the standing nurse or secretary, they weren't sure which one…

"And we're lightyears from our home planet!" his wide mouth snapped open and shut profusely, "You just gotta let his gang in, Ma'am! They've got the chaos emeralds, he'll be healed in no time!"

"Yeah! Chaos and stuff!" Charmy pumped his fist rhymical in the air, hoping to get her hyped up about the sincerity of their wishes.

"I-I'm terribly sorry…" She backed through the double doors a moment, feeling them push against her. She seemed very nervous of the talking animals… even though they were apart of the group that saved her world. "B-but on this planet, only familiar can-"

Rushing through the hospital doors was Tails, Knuckles, and Amy.

"Rouge said they picked up his signal being carried off to a human hospital and this is the location-!" Knuckles explained, then caught sight of Team Chaotix while he was speaking, "But how many floors till we find- Vector!"

"Knuckles!" Vector gestured his arms out wide to them, waving them down. Then he took his large hand and covered half his crocodile muzzle, which wasn't very much, and commented, "This nurse won't let us in!"

"D-doctor…" the woman corrected. "And I've assigned only our best to look at Sonic, honestly! We can't let anyone in to the room to crowd him like this… only if they're legally part of his family… by blood relations only." she apologetically sweated in nervousness, freaking out slightly and flinching back as Tails walked over to her. She seemed to not like animals in general… or maybe had a fear of them.

It was taking everything she had to not say, 'This is why I'm not a vet!' but didn't want to insult anyone…

"Lady, please." Tails tried for empathy, gesturing to himself, "We're the only family he has…"

Amy tired to catch her breath, looking around before resting her eyes on her gloved hand…

She took a deep breath to calm her nerves. "We have to get in there."

"I'm sorry, but-"

"No, you don't understand. I am going in there." Her eyes bent in determination as the others stepped aside while she walked through them.

"Uh, Amy..?" Vector began but she pulled up her glove to reveal a diamond ring along with a gold ring beside it on her ring-finger. They were flat by design, so the gloves cushiony surface did well to hide their silhouette against them.

"I'm his wife."

"A-Amy…" Tails turned to her, worried about her possible lying, not seeing the rings as she subtly only showed the doctor woman, and then folded her glove down again over them.

"O-oh, well… since we can't really clarify and you do, in fact, have a ring I suppose…" The doctor woman looked behind her at the closed doors. She sighed, "Let her in, but I'm afraid the rest of you will have to wait in the lobby…"

The cameras blipped a moment and a speaker cleared her, Amy was allowed through the doors, and didn't look back.

"At least she'll let us know what's going on with Sonic." Knuckles, also assuming Amy lied, gritted his teeth and shook his fist. "Darn human laws! What if it was an orphan!? Huhh? You'd just let them die here alone!" he glared at the doctor woman who tried to clench her jaw enough not to answer back.

She turned a switch inside herself and composed her hands to hold one another in front of herself, bowing politely to the angry echidna. "My apologies. In our world, there is usually a legal guardian if-"

"Enough of this, she's sent a signal." Espio pointed to Tails's Miles Electric, seeing it buzzing and flashing. "We have to remain calm. She's doing this for Sonic, and that's all that matters-"

They were all cut off when they saw the picture.

It was Amy leaning over a gurney with a cute wink and silly face, leaning into Sonic's head who was equally grinning with a wide-open smile, making a thumbs up with his casted hand and arm, his bandages over his chest and sliding from the behind his right ear down to his left ear but above his left eyebrow.

He looked pretty beat up, what with a patch over his left cheek to match the whole look… but then…

The next picture that appeared was Sonic's gloved pulled down and Amy's glove she secretly showed the woman also exposed, revealing the matching rings with a text over the picture that stated: Surprise! #Amy-no-liar

The gang was stunned… as the next following pictures rapidly came in as them explaining the situation and story, but noticing the group of animals suddenly so quiet made the Doctor Woman nervous, and she moved through the double doors that the cameras remotely opened for her as she peeked in, expecting the worst.

Instead, Sonic and Amy were holding a kiss and peeking down at the Miles-Electric to make sure the picture was taken well and then laughed as Amy snuggled up on the gurney to be closer to him and tucked her arms around his own.

"And… there. Proof added." He stated, then winked to Amy. "Miss me?"

"Terribly." she teased, whining. "Because if you weren't okay…

I'd never have the courage to say I'm pregnant."
