Yang came down the hall with a spring in her step, ready for her last day at Signal before summer break. As she entered the living room, however, she stopped dead in her tracks and asked, loudly, "Who are you!?"

Propped up against a wall was a group of people. At the center of the pile was a dark haired woman who's spiky hair lightened to red at the tips. Resting against the crook of her neck was a triangular sword, seemingly made of green hard light emitted from silver metal. Resting against one shoulder was a redhead cradling an equally red sword, on the other, a blonde with a white and gold sword with green accents. Finally, in her lap was a a fox faunus holding a scimitar that, strangely, had flowers growing from it. A bit further away was a girl around Yang's age, long hair in a high ponytail.

Deploying Ember Celica in a whirl of mecha shift, she asked again, louder as she heard her dad come out of his room and down the stairs, Howl and Roar in his hands, "I said, who are you!?"

"Bloody hell" the Faunus groaned in a strange accent, sitting up and rubbing her head, "do you have to be so loud?"

"You broke into our house!" Yang said angrily.

"No idea what you're talking abou- Ruby!" The woman cut herself off as she tackled the dark haired woman into a hug. 'Ruby's' eye flickered open, the left one remaining closed, revealing a silver eye to the world, before she reached out and reciprocated the hug from the other woman.

At that moment, Summer came thundering down the stairs holding Sundered Rose.

Jaune was walking towards the train station, ready to find a place to stay in Vale until the Beacon Entrance Exam, when a crystal fell from the sky. Blinking, he picked it up, staring at the hexagonal crystal and noticing it felt oddly heavy. The crystal flashed suddenly, lifting off Jaune's hand and floating in front of him. Jaune took a step back as a beam of light ran over him.

Then the crystal seemed to unfold, light coming from every side that wasn't the one facing Jaune. Slowly, it spiraled out into the obvious shape of a torso, then arms, legs and a head. Long strands of energy grew off the head, once they were complete, they, and the tips of the fingers and toes, began to consolidate into actual hair, skin and clothes. Finally, standing in front of him was a daro skinned woman with large breasts, white ponytail that darkened just the slightest amount to icy blue at the tip of her ponytail, an extremely short skirt, blue, circuit-like lines around her things and clutching a trident that ended in three, blue tips that looked like icicles.

So you are my Driver, then?" She asked, sounding severe.

""D-driver?" Jaune asked, vaguely aware he had fallen straight on his back backside over the course of her appearance.

"You don't know what a Driver is?" She asked, "it means you are my partner, my wielder. My name is Perun. And you are?"

"Jaune," Jaune introduced himself shakely, taking the offered hand and being pulled to his feet.

"It's nice to meet you, Jaune," Perun said, before offering Jaune her spear. Jaune took it, slightly bewildered at how natural it felt in his hand.

"What… Are you?"

"I am a Blade," Perun said, reaching up to touch the crystal in her chest, "Why don't we continue walking wherever you were going as we talk?"

Ruby's eye opened at Nia's hug, dimly aware she was leaning against a wall, before returning the hug. Upon noticing the blond with gauntlets raised, she pushed Nia to the side, gently, and grabbed Pneuma's blade as she rose. Splitting it into Pyra and Mythra's Aegis blades, Ruby marveled at the fact that even now, after so long, they felt natural in her hands.

Then she took a closer look at the girl, and the man next to him, and the woman who had come down the stairs holding an ax and felt her one eye widen. No. No way…

"Yang?" Ruby said, letting some fragility into her voice, "Dad? Mom?"

Yang blinked her red eyes in confusion, "What?"

Summer, however, gasped suddenly and began to walk towards her, lowering Sundered Rose. Her face raked over Ruby's, a trembling hand coming up to her lips, "No… That's not possible… But… I… How?"

"Did you hit your head?" Mythra asked as she stood up, "I could have sworn you said this was your-"

"Ruby?" Summer said, voice cracking halfway through, "Is… Is that you, Ruby?"

"What?" Yang said, "Mom, she's like, three times too old to be Ruby-"

"I don't get it either," Ruby said with a shake of her head as the put down the Aegises as Summer dropped Sundered Rose and rushed forwards to hug her daughter. Ruby enveloped the younger woman in a hug.

"What happened? You just disappeared from bed one day," Summer asked, clinging to Ruby like she was afraid it was gonna happen again.

"I don't know," Ruby said, "I woke up one day on Gramps' back."

"Gramps?"

"It's a long story, but he's the one that took care of me while I was gone," Ruby said, "dunno where he is now."

"Wait, wait, wait, so this is your mother?" Mythra said.

"What happened to your eye?" Summer asked.

"That's a really good question," Pyra said.

"Got sloppy, lost it," Ruby shrugged.

"Well, then, sit down for breakfast, we can talk over it," Summer said, "Who are your friends?"

"Oh, these are my wives Pyra, Mythra and Nia," Ruby introduced, "and the one still asleep is Pyrrha and mine's daughter, Glimmer."
