I have been summoned, therefore, I write. WITH PREMISSION!
Prompt:
"Don't do it, Blane." A dark immersed hedgehog stood in front of the notorious bandit who was hired to take Amy's life.
Why?
Apparently, there was a miscommunication. This yellow rogue was on a mission to assassinate Sonic, but after his pride was hurt being defeated so many times…
He turned to any means necessary to complete his mission.
"Your life or her's, Hedgehog!" he was already greatly beaten up, a knife to her throat as he tugged on her hair to pull her back against him, her hands trying to push away the knife.
"This doesn't need to concern her…" Dark Sonic stepped forward, "It doesn't need to be this way… You don't have to hurt anyone… but if you do-"
"You're in no position to calls the shots you cocky-AHH!" His hand was bit by Amy as she shoved him away. "Rascal!" he reached and grabbed her again.
Amy threw a message out to Sonic, who bent down to grab it.
As he read it quickly, he realized that Blane was told to do whatever it takes to kill him, and that meant…
"So, Amy's life to convince me to end mine..?" Dark Sonic looked up to see Blane throw him another knife, letting it 'tink' against the ground.
"I don't trust you'll let me do it myself…" He hissed behind his teeth. "So if you'll do the honors…"
"Coward!" Amy finally got the gag loose but he rammed his knife between her teeth.
"Bite down or I'll let it lengthen that already pretty smile, wench!" he jammed the knife further back as though to threaten he would so she did bite down, shaking in her nerves. "Ah,… see that? Look how much better it is when you comply." He looked to Sonic. "Do it!"
Dark Sonic's body was radiating the dark chaos energy… his whole being flowing with it, matching his conflicting emotions.
"Just…" He picked up the knife, getting on his knees as though in a position that former samurai's would when committing suicide. "Don't hurt Amy."
Her eyes widened, she remembered the last time he had said that…
Flinging her off into space, he was consumed in water and swallowed by the Metarex dragon-like monster…
"NNNNuuu!" she cried from clenching her teeth on the knife… the dagger metal actually bending to the sheer pressure from her teeth.
"W-what?!" Blane noticed the blade about to break but then…
Amy's eyes were splattered with the color red, streaking by them as the shadowed figure of Dark Sonic burst from the dark aura. His head cocked up and his body slowly turned as he fell to the ground.
"Finally!" Blane cried out in victory, "I did it!"
Amy lifted her mouth open, his knife slightly did cut the sides of her mouth but she bit down and threw him over her, breaking the knife as it shattered and she let the metal fall out of her mouth.
"SOONNICCC!" the blades sparkled as she cried out, all falling to the ground as Blane's form also hit the ground and had them fall on top of him.
She dashed over to him, but as she went…
"A…Amy…" Sonic looked up, the darkness spent as his life was flickering. His eyes twitched as he skidded his cheek against the ground to watch her form running to him.
Then…
His eyes widened at the splash of red that consumed his eyes…
Amy's body collapse over the message she had previously thrown, staining it in scarlet ink…
Blane's form, still wiping off the rest of the broken knife, had taken a shard and throw it to her back like a ninja star.
"No witnesses." he grinned, "Now… everyone will believe I killed the legendary Sonic The Hedgehog…"
Sonic's eyes were hazy… then a flood of darkness spiked and he rose from the ground, flying like a dark phantom.
"W-WHAT!?" Blane took a step back, "But you-! I saw you stab yourself!"
"Ammmyyy!" The screech pulsed a powerful darkness out as Sonic's eyes glowed white, different from his previous dark form.
The shards all around Blane's feet… started to rapidly shake and teeter on the ground… slowly rising up.
"N-no..!" Blane's pupils suddenly shrunk, seeing the shards float up into the air like daggers, then spin themselves to point towards him.
"An eye for an eye…" Dark Sonic's eyes narrowed, "and a life for a life, right, Blane..!?" He threw his arms back and then slashed the air, "AHHH!"
Blane was stabbed by the shards… falling back before getting them completely imbedded in him like a porcupine…
"...You made your choice." Dark Sonic floated back to the ground, picking Amy up bridal style after forcefully removing the shard. He put his hand over the bleeding area and it suddenly swirled closed with dark power…
As Dark Sonic faced away from Blane, he fell to a knee and ripped out one of the shards, "This… isn't over!"
The shard flew through the air at wicked fast speeds, but Dark Sonic only flicked his head, and the shard stopped.
It spun around a few times vertically before firing back into Blane, jamming into his forehead…
He fell back, his eyes blank, as Dark Sonic slowly turned his head back forward… and blipped out of existence.
