Hello wonderful writer of sonamy. Just want to say hello and thank you for the wonderful content. If I may Sonic Forces prompt Amy is upset that she's delegated to office work and not fighting on the front lines. She and Sonic get into an argument that gets heated. She thinks Sonic doesn't value her as a fighter and gets mad. Finally Sonic breaks and yells that he can lose a lot but he can't lose her (thinking about her 'death' from lost world)he keeps Amy back for selfish reason's so she's safe

More dark sonamy please (I'm so sorry if this has been asked before I just love the concept and feels). I guess the easiest scenario is Sonic Forces Sonic is lead to believe Infinite killed Amy in a raid and he goes ballistic. Only when Amy comes back does Sonic calm down and is relieved that he didn't fail her and she's alright.

Prompt:

Amy balanced a pencil under her nose, using her lip to keep it there as it teetered back and forth.

Later, she sat upside down on her office chair, looking at the screens with a muted expression...

Currently, she had her feet up on the chair, butt squiggling it excitement as she heard the Forces advancing and taking another city back from Eggman's army.

"Yes!" she jumped up and cheered, doing a small victory dance. She then punched at the air as the commanding section's leaders reported back their teams hardy efforts, informing Amy to let the others know.

"Roger that!" she saluted, jazzed by another victory as she announced over the intercom, clearing her throat first, "Attention all Forces, We've got the City!"

Everyone cheered in the base, she nodded proudly and sat back down, letting out a relieved exhale.

"Wait.. wait! Rose, come in! We've got a problem-AHHH!" the radio signal spazzed back in with scratchy audio.

"Wh-what!?" Amy jumped up, rushing to the controls, "Stand by, Team Alpha? TEAM ALPHA!" she quickly switched radio calls, "Team Beta, it's Rose, Alpha's in trouble!"

"We know! It's Infinite!" The other channel blared, "He's got us all, too!"

Suddenly, her once lightly lit cameras all began to flash out... each having a blurry image of the red squares glitching momentarily into view... the screams of soldiers... as Amy stepped back to take in the blacking out screens... one... at a time.

In her distress, her eyes teary, she ran to the intercom, "ALL UNITS, INFINITE AT LARGE!" she was then about to take off the headset and take off when a familiar voice calmed her racing heartbeat.

"Stay put, Amy!" Sonic's voice came in loud and clear...

Her eyes shook at his quick response, as she looked back at the screen, readjusting the headset firmly back on her head, "Sonic, this is serious..! You've only just recovered and Infinite's-!"

"Always been at large, I know, Amy. It's okay, calm down." He tried to reassure her. There was a lot of static from the wind racing by his face... he must have been rushing already over to the teams.

"Sonic... I can help." Her voice cracked slightly, and she had to swallow down her rising fear...

"... I know you can, Amy." Sonic's voice sounded understanding... "But right now, everyone needs you as a beacon of light. Comfort the base, keep the soldiers fighting. I'm almost there..!"

She tightened her fists on the console... but conceded. Shakily... her hand slowly moved back to the headset, her head lowering to speak plainly and without any doubt... bravely into it. "Everyone, Sonic is coming!" she raised her head as the monitors flickered back to life... Soldiers having hope in their eyes as she stated that so firmly with confidence.

"... And so am I!" she threw the headset down and rushed out.

"Amy! No!" Sonic's voice continued on the microphone, "Stay there, it's safer at the base..! Ammmyy..!"

When he didn't hear a response, he looked to his reciever, and clenched his teeth. 'I knew she'd be stubborn... why'd I think that'd be easy?' he then sighed and pulled the reciever out of his ear, charging towards the location of Team Alpha and Beta. He put one arm out in front of him, elbow first, dipping down to increase his speed. 'Oh well, whatever she plans to do... I just hope she knows to stay safe...' he bolted off into a spin-dash...

Amy threw up her hammer, having arrived after Sonic had already been in combat.

"Where is everyone?" she asked a downed Soldier, bending a knee to speak with him, putting her hand on his shoulder.

He was being defended by a female Soldier, creating cover since his leg was clearly injured, and he was gripping it pretty tightly.

He spoke through gritted teeth, and one eye squinting open to look down at it, "They had headed back to the Carrier, but Sonic... he... he may have drove off Infinite's attention from us all... but many of us are still out there!" he worriedly looked to her with a serious expression on his glossy, puppy-dog eyes.

"Miss Rose... We can't leave a man behind." He looked her dead in the eye...

Her eyes bent only a moment, before narrowing them in determined conviction.

"Don't worry!" she nodded, standing up and holding a fist firmly in front of herself, giving it a sharp bounce. "Leave it to me!" she then looked to the girl, who looked over her shoulder to see if any plan had been decided yet. "Get him to the Carrier!" Amy swiped a hand out, "I'll go find the others."

"Miss Amy? By yourself?" The female Soldier asked as Amy smiled kindly to her.

"You bet'cha! And I'm not alone..." she looked out to see the blue streaks on the battlefield... as well as the ruby cubes...

"You just leave fighting Infinite to Sonic..." she looked back to the girl and gave her a cheery head tilt and giggle, "Danger's just part of the daily office runs we take back at the base!" she spun her hammer about and let it sit on her shoulders, then charged off with a bit of gusto and flare.

The two admired her, looking off as the Soldier helped the downed man up and threw his arm over her shoulder.

"Do you really think she'll make it?" She asked him.

"Heh, she's one of Sonic's friends, isn't she?" Through his pain at getting up, he tried his best to smirk, "She could make it through any dark, armageddon day... she probably has before... if she's still with the Blue Blur..."

They looked off after her once more as the wind of hope blew by them... and then began to take off towards the Carrier.

Amy did save many... but while trying to help leverage off a fallen building debris from a Soldier, getting him out from under it, a blast caught her off guard.

A laser?

"Augh!" She felt her back sting with the power, a direct blow with no cushion as she hit the ground a distance away.

The Soldier freaked out, fleeing and scurrying away as Infinite flew down to float above her.

"What's this?" His voice sounded of twisted glee, "Another insect... brightly colored and full of... what was it you all called it... the light of hope? Was it?" he lightly flicked out his clawed hand. "A foolish notion... coming from a dying breed..."

Amy slowly put a hand to the ground, "Grr... We're not... done yet... Infinite..." She turned around, holding her hammer at the ready, dirt spraying from the side of her face from her quick get-up. "We're gonna find your weakness, Infinite! And then, we're taking you down!"

"Hahaha... HAHAHAHA... such bold words... from a zombie..." He held up his hand, "Goodbye... and may your 'light of hope' die with your patheic excuses, clinging on to life that no longer is a reality for you... anymore..." He fired out a few shots, but she was able to reflect them with powerful swings and expert timing, crawling backwards with one arm as her other kept hitting off the shots.

Infinite's eyes widened slowly in rage... it was impressive, as though a sword hitting away phased arrows.

"... You cling on so tightly..." He almost hummed out in annoyed mockery of her skills... stretching his arms out as more cubes appeared, and from them... the dimensional shift.

"AMMMMYY!" Sonic's voice was the last thing she heard, as she had to dodge, bend, and arcobatically avoid the lasers coming at her from the cubes in this world.

Once returned, she coughed and fell to her hands, looking around wearily as her eyes adjusted. "H... huh?... hah... hah... Sonic!" she turned around to see a dark figure... his spines stiff... sticking out perfectly like a star bent back to form his head...

He was up on a pile of large building debris, holding Infinite up by his neck, raising him up with a hand held back as though curled like hooks... ready to strike when the white glowing eyes turned back to see her... widening as they dropped the barely able to rasp out a breath Infinite down... his mask falling off and clanking against the ground,... Ti-ank-ank-ank...

"Amy..?" The voice slowly came through... Sonic?

"S... Sonic?" Amy wabbled up to standing a bit, still keeping her body low to the ground as she was exhausted. "What... what happened?"

Sonic looked over his body.

"What did Eggman do to you now!?" She thought about his Werehog form... as Sonic only thought about how he almost lost her... in the Lost World...

"Amy... I..." He held his hands up to his face, looking over himself, "N-no... Don't look at me like this... I... I thought I had failed you... I thought... you were dead." he had only seen a light... beams of light and Infinite swiping out his hands as though giving the order to the cubes... he saw the beams... he didn't realize they only had sent her to the illusion dimension... not completely obliterated her.

He fell to his knees, "I... I'm so glad... you're not hurt." his fur was still fuming with dark chaos energy...

Amy's eyes almost bleed out her tears... her pain at seeing Sonic looking so anguished...

"I could endure Eggman's tortures... but to lose you... Amy..? I would never... forgive myself..."

She rushed to him... as Infinite's hand reached up from the ground, "Nooo... I refuse to have it end... like this!" he forced himself up, reeling in anger, "I refuse to die... WEAAAAKKK!" he threw a beam at her as she tried to reach out for Sonic, not even noticing.

Sonic's head swished between her and the on-coming beam... and dashed to embrace her back.

Waking up in the hospital wing of the base, Sonic, dazed, blinked his eyes open... rubbing his face as the light shone harshly down on him from the ceiling. "UUhhh... Amy?" he looked up, "Tails?" he looked to the side, "Knuckles..? EGGMAN!?" he quickly jolted up but little Sonic hopped up and wagged his hands down as though to say 'Chill out, chill bro, you're safe' but the PTSD of Eggman's tortures triggered Sonic... it wasn't so bad, but he sighed in relief that he didn't have to worry about getting 'painfully tickled' again...

He moved his legs off the gurney, "Phew... we're all okay." he looked down, then heard Amy's voice over the radio.

"All units cleared and safe! Great work, everyone!"

He smiled at the intercom, as little Sonic also looked, then threw Sonic a thumbs up.

Sonic smirked, seeing the sash over his chest of where he was hit... protecting Amy.

"Heh, glad that's over with!" as though nothing had happened, he loosened the bandages off and rotated his shoulder while they delicately fell back to the gurney... which he had hopped out of, completely back to fighting shape!

"Let's go and find this 'Infinite' problem, again, shall we? And this time..." he pushed his knuckles into the palm of his hand, hitting it with a soft sound. "Do it right!"

He looked to little him and nodded, before racing off.

'Amy...' he thought in the back of his head, '... Thanks for staying put... just a little longer...'

Amy watches his radio signal come online, his screen flaring to life with light again... and she smiles in hope.

She sighs though, knowing why he was so gentle about trying to keep her here... and adamantly resigning to respecting his wishes...

He really can't lose anyone... but... she couldn't lose him again, either.

"All Teams... Forces... Units... Solders... Sonic is on his way!" she held up her fist, her other hand pushing the headset further against her face, leaning into it so her voice rang out loud and clear.

"ROHH!" They cheered, pumping their fists in excitment... as the screen goes dark once again...

And Infinite's one eye... comes into view.

(... I just didn't feel like it was very 'Sonic-like' to yell? He can! We've heard it before, but for the most part, he speaks very calmly to inspire his friends. I think he'd know he couldn't stop Amy, but that didn't stop him from trying to speak his mind on the matter. XD I can see Sonic and Amy butting heads -I've written it many times XP- But in canon, Sonic always let Amy choose her own path, or relented to her stubborness due to respect, and Amy -usually- did what she set her mind to do anyway, only a few times did she actually 'sit and wait' but for the most part, she usually DOES go against Sonic at times XD Hope you enjoyed it!)
