Sunny was shown on the bench as her friends were gathered around her. The group was concerned for their captain after the full blast she received from Flurry Heart. Speaking of the Crystal Prep girl, she was currently out on the field with her Blue-Eyes White Dragon that she managed to summon. The mere presence of it gave CPA an intimidating look. Zipp called for a quick timeout, which was granted to give the group some time to regroup.
"Sunny, are you okay?" Hitch asked with a hint of worry.
"I'm fine, Hitch," said the girl to her best friend, smiling at him to calm him down.
"What do we do now?" asked Pipp. "Sunny is out!"
"I may be out… but we're not."
The girl looked at the siblings as the others followed. It was clear what was on her mind. Mario and Roll turned to look at their cousin as her expression told the whole story. She was waiting to see which family member would step up to face her. The pair looked on before Roll turned to look at her brother and put her hand on his shoulder.
"I got this."
"Be careful, sis," said Mario, concerned for his sister's actions against their cousin. The boy kissed his sister's forehead as she nodded. She peered around her older brother to look at their friends and Sunny, and the look she gave her captain assured her she'd handle her cousin.
Roll began to make her way to meet her cousin as Zipp glanced at Sunny.
"You sure about this?" asked the heiress.
"We can trust them, Zipp. They know their cousin better than anyone. They won't let us down." said Sunny with an assured smile.
However, the heiress was skeptical about relying on Mario and Roll to take down Flurry, especially considering what she had recalled about what Axiom had said the other day.
How do you know that these two won't screw you all over in the name of their bloodline?
The girl looked at her friend as Mario was watching his sister about to battle their cousin.
"Are you really on our side, lover boy?" Zipp asked herself, still having doubts about the two siblings.
Flurry had been waiting patiently as Roll stood before her. The girl smiled upon seeing her cousin as Roll strapped on her duel disk and projected a yellow card tray.
"Talk about a family affair. It'll be Roll taking on her cousin Flurry Heart!" said Luna as even the students of CHS murmured about Roll possibly working with her cousin.
Flurry's Life Points: 8000-
Roll's Life Points: 8000-
Turn 1: Flurry (Hand 5)
"You know, prima. You're alot like Aunty Twily. You want to stand by your friends no matter what. And it's admirable, don't get me wrong, but we don't have to do this, Roll. We're family. We shouldn't even be fighting. You could have just sat back and let your friends handle this. But you wanted to get involved. Now understand… this is gonna hurt me more than it's gonna hurt you. Are you willing to live with the choice you made?"
Roll looked at her deck, and many thoughts ran through her mind. She glanced back at her cousin, and Flurry's look said it all.
"Yeah," answered the girl to her cousin as she was ready to fight.
"I tried to warn you, Roll. Just know this: what I do to you. I'm doing it out of love. I'm doing this… because I love you. Because you're family." said Flurry.
"Then let's get it on!" responded Roll.
"Very well… Sea Maiden!" said Flurry, addressing her cousin by the nickname she used when they were kids. "Now then… I play the spell card, Bingo Machine, Go! Now, I reveal three cards from my deck that are either a 'Blue-Eyes' monster or a spell/trap card that lists a 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon.'"
Three cards then appeared before the cousins as they stood in the middle with their backside facing Roll.
"Make your choice, prima."
I've known Flurry's deck long enough to know its moves and tactics. I know how powerful Blue Eyes is, but I also know what it takes to beat them.
"Well, Roll. What's it gonna be?"
"I pick the card in the middle!" said Roll as she pointed at it.
"Very well," said Flurry as she took her card and placed the others on top of her deck as the auto shuffler of her duel disk activated. "I set one card facedown and end my turn."
Turn 2: Roll (Hand 5)
"Then it's my turn. I draw!" said Roll, looking to take it to her cousin.
"Let's see if she's really on our side," said Zipp, as this was the true test to see where Roll's loyalty was.
"Alright, prima! It's time to face the forces of the sea. So I play the field spell, Sunken Kingdom!" yelled Roll as she slapped her card onto her tray.
The entire field began to change before everyone's eyes. Soon, both cousins were surrounded by water, as they were underwater, and all around them lay the ruins of a fallen civilization.
"Thanks to my field spell, all my Water monsters will gain 300 extra attack points," said Roll as water bubbles ejected from her mouth to show them breathing underwater. "Next, I summon this monster. Time to chop at the bits, Big Jaws(1800/300)!" A whirlpool erupted on Roll's side as it broke apart to reveal her shark and bared its razor-sharp fangs.
"And since I have Big Jaws out, I can also summon my Shark Stickers(200/1000)!"
"She's got two Level 3 monsters out," said Izzy.
"Which means…" said Hitch as he too knew what that meant.
"I overlay Big Jaws and Shark Stickers! With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" stated Roll, her two monsters turning into orbs of light and hovering in the air. A portal opened as the orbs were sucked in, and a pillar of light emerged. "I unleash the terror of both air and sea! I Xyz Summon, Submersible Carrier Aero Shark(1900/1000, OLU: 2)!" A pair of sharks attached to a flying device appeared as they growled.
"Alright, we know what comes next!" said Pipp with a smile.
"I activate Aero Shark's ability! By using one overlay unit, you take 400 points of damage for every card in my hand. I'm holding three, prima. So you're getting slammed with 1200 points of damage!" said Roll as her monster began to load a torpedo. "Go Torpedo Takedown!" The missile was fired as the capsule broke apart to reveal 12 mini-missiles as they bombed Flurry's side, causing the girl to cover up.
Flurry's Life Points: 6800-
"Yes! Take that son of a bitch!" said Zipp as seeing Roll deal damage to her cousin felt good.
While her friends and everybody else were pleased she dealt some damage, Roll kept a straight look. The girl stared at her cousin's field, waiting for the smoke to clear. In the smoke was a shadow as it became visible and showed her cousin. Flurry still had her arm up before she lowered it and had a smile on her face. However, the others noticed something.
Flurry's Life Points: 8000-
"Wait, what?" said Zipp, shocked to see Flurry standing.
"I thought Roll dealt her damage!" said Hitch.
The girl looked defiant as Flurry dusted her shoulders, brought her hands behind her, and flipped her hair back dramatically before looking to address her cousin.
"All grown up and still using the same tricks when we were kids, prima. You think I wouldn't know you'd tried that?" said Flurry as Roll kept her firm expression. "Thanks to my facedown, White Light. I restore my Life Points back to their original total. So… any more tricks you'll try to use from when we were kids?"
Roll looked at her hand as she grabbed a card.
"I set one card facedown and end my turn! You're up, prima!"
Turn 3: Flurry (Hand 4)
"It's my move, cuz. I draw!" said Flurry as she looked to bash her cousin around just like when they were younger. "I play the ritual spell card, Chaos Form! Now, I can summon something even more powerful by tributing my Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Now arise… Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon(3000/0)!" A much whiter and purifier dragon appeared as it descended onto the field and roared.
"Let's see if you can take this blast more than your friend could Roll. Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon, begin your attack!" commanded Flurry as her monster's mouth opened to show its attack powering up. "Now my monster's effect activates. When it attacks, I can change the battle position of your monsters on the field. And I change their attack/defense points to zero. And one more thing… my monster can inflict piercing damage!"
"That's not good!" said Izzy as Roll's monster shifted to defense mode and lost all of its defense.
"With no defense points, Roll's gonna take 3000 points of damage!" said Zipp.
Flurry's dragon fired its attack as it rapidly headed straight for Roll's monster.
"I reveal my facedown, Poseidon's Wave!" said Roll as her facedown flipped over. "Now I can negate your attack, and you take 800 points of damage!" A tidal wave rose as it blocked Flurry's attack before it rushed toward the Crystal Prep girl. Flurry's dragon did its job of protecting its mistress, wrapping its wings around the girl just as the water came over them.
Flurry's Life Points: 7200-
When the wave ceased, the dragon was shown with water all over its skin as it unfurled its wings to show Flurry was perfectly safe. The girl looked at her cousin before turning around to look at her monster, who was soaking wet.
"Thank you," said the girl to her monster for protecting her. The dragon gave a low roar as it lowered down for her to pet its nose.
"I thought you would've seen that coming, prima."
"Oh, I did. I just let you," smiled Flurry as her dragon roared to back her claim up.
"Sure," responded Roll mockingly.
"I now play the Cards of Consonance spell card. I can draw two cards by discarding a Dragon tuner monster with 1000 or fewer attack points. So I'll get rid of my Sage with Eyes of Blue," said Flurry as she sent her monster away and drew. "I place two cards facedown."
Turn 4: Roll (Hand 2)
"It's my move! Here goes!" said Roll as she drew her card. "First, I'm activating Aero Shark's ability. Using one overlay unit, you take 400 points of damage for every card in my hand. Aero Shark, do your thing!" The girl's monster began to load a torpedo as it prepared to launch it. The capsule was fired as it broke apart and bombarded Flurry's side again as the dragon protected the girl again, using its own body as a shield.
Flurry's Life Points: 6800-
"Next, I'm playing the equip spell, Xyz Crown and equipping it onto my Aero Shark! The power of this spell changes Aero Shark's rank to a level. And if I use it to Xyz summon, it counts as two monsters. So I overlay Aero Shark!" said Roll. Her monster turned into split copies, and they turned to robs of light and hovered. A portal opened before the girl as they were sucked in, and a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon! Number 17: Leviathan Dragon(2000/0, OLU: 1)!" A massive tide rose as rising from it was a sea serpent dragon as it roared with the might of the seven seas.
"I now activate Leviathan Dragon's special ability. By using one overlay unit, it gains 500 attack points. But I'm not done because I'm equipping it with my Aqua Jet. Giving it 1000 extra attack points until the end of the turn!" stated Roll as her dragon was now more powerful than her cousins.
"So you want to go dragon to dragon with me, prima? Then bring it on! I dare you!" shouted Flurry, not going to be intimidated by her cousin.
"Leviathan Dragon! Show Flurry the power of the sea! Shock Stream Blast!" shouted Roll. Her monster whipped its head back as its mouth opened. It charged up before letting loose a powerful stream burst of water as it headed for Flurry's dragon. The Crystal Prep girl covered up as her dragon stood before her to tank the hit before vaporizing by its opponent and exploding.
Flurry's Life Points: 6000-
"With that, I place one card facedown and end my turn."
"All that just to take down my monster," laughed Flurry. "Look at you, Roll. You spent almost all your hand just to beat my one single monster. Meanwhile, I've got plenty of ammo, locked and loaded."
Roll gritted her teeth. She hated to agree with her cousin, but she was right. She nearly emptied her entire hand just to take down that one menace of a beast Flurry had. And she knew her cousin had more waiting in her deck.
Turn 5: Flurry (Hand 1)
"Now then, it's my move. And since you control an Xyz monster, I can summon my Radius, the Half-Moon Dragon(1400/1200). By doing that, I can double its Level. So now it's Level 8. And since I have a Level 8 monster, I can summon my Parsec, the Interstellar Dragon(800/800)!"
"She has two Level 8 monsters out…" spoke Zipp.
"That must mean…" said Izzy.
"Oh, mierda!" shouted Roll, her eyes going wide upon seeing what her cousin was going to do.
"Así es prima! I overlay both of my Level 8 monsters to build the Overlay Network!" shouted Flurry as her two monsters turned into orbs of light and hovered in the air. A portal opened before her as the orbs were sucked in, and a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon! A monster stronger than a cosmic storm! A behemoth with the ability to bend time to do its will! An interstellar terror, leaving destruction in its wake! Arise, my beast, for we shall claim victory for Crystal Prep! Come forth, Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon(3000/2500, OLU: 2)!" A 3-D tetrahedron was shown as it began to pop out slowly and as it took the shape of Flurry's mighty beast.
"Another number over 100?" said Sunny, shocked to see Flurry had one like Athena.
"What is that?!" asked Pipp.
"Some kind of dragon," said Hitch.
"That's no dragon! That's a monster!" said Zipp upon seeing Flurry's beast. "Hey, lover boy! What is that beast your cousin has?" asked the girl, wanting some answers.
"The end of Roll," responded Mario as the heiress was taken aback by his answer.
"My dragon will now attack, and I think your number makes the perfect target. Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon attack Leviathan Dragon!" commanded Flurry as her monster fired a stream of energy. Roll could do nothing to save her monster, which was blasted and exploded upon contact. The girl stood her ground as she skidded back a bit while panting heavily.
Roll's Life Points: 7800-
"I reveal my facedown, Ghost Salvage! This trap brings back my Water-attribute Xyz monster, and when it returns, it can bring along the monsters that were used to summon it by negating their special abilities. So Leviathan Dragon and Aero Shark are coming back!" A portal appeared before Roll as anchors were dropped in, pulling her monsters up in chains.
"That was a warning shot, prima. You can still end this," said Flurry, giving her cousin one last chance to op out of this duel.
"You've known me your whole life, Flurry. I don't ever run or take the easy way out," Roll grunted as she stood up.
"So be it," the Crystal Prep teen responded in a rather cold tone. "I now activate my facedown, Maiden's Gift!"
A shower of sprinkles was above Roll as it fell on her deck, making it light up.
"Thanks to my Maiden's Gift, you can discard your entire hand and draw four new cards to replace it. But since you have an empty hand at the moment, you don't need to get rid of anything."
"Why did she do that?" asked Pipp.
"I think she wants to humiliate her own family member," said Zipp.
Roll looked at her deck as she grabbed the four cards. Flurry allowed her to pick them up, so she fanned them out.
"Now, cousin… what do you say?" demanded Flurry.
"T… T-Thank you," said Roll hesitantly and obediently to her cousin for allowing her this gift.
"That's what I thought," the girl smugly replied. "Just remember who the head of the table is."
Zipp could only growl at what Flurry was making her do. She looked at Mario, who stood there with his arms crossed and watched the duel between his family.
"I now end my turn."
Turn 6: Roll (Hand 4)
"It's my turn. I draw," said Roll as she didn't take her eyes off Flurry's great beast. "I set one card facedown! That's it!"
"Really, prima?" taunted Flurry at how helpless her cousin was. It almost amused her that Roll struggled against her monster.
"That's not good," said Sunny.
"Lover boy! What kind of power does that monster your cousin have?" asked Zipp, wanting some answers.
"One that'll have Roll on her knees," Mario said as it took the heiress back a bit.
Turn 7: Flurry (Hand 0)
"My turn!" smiled the Crystal Prep girl as she drew. Now, Tachyon Dragon, attack Aero Shark!" Flurry's monster fired a powerful beam as it decimated Roll's monsters. "Now… I use Tachyon Dragon's special ability! By using one overlay unit, my Tachyon Dragon gains 1000 extra attack points until the end of the turn, and it can attack again. Tachyon Transmigration!"
Flurry's monster began to fold back into the 3-D tetrahedron it first appeared as. The shape began to spin around, and sparkles and a light show occurred around it.
"Look at that!" said Pipp as they all looked at the incredible light show that was happening.
"Pretty rainbows," commented Izzy.
Flurry's monster then stopped spinning, as did the light show, before it began to pop back into its 3-D dragon form. It roared, now with the power boost it received.
"Guys, that doesn't bode well for us!" said Zipp after seeing Flurry's power for the monster.
"Go Tachyon Dragon! Attack with Tachyon Spiral of Destruction!" commanded the Crystal Prep girl.
Without hesitation, the dragon obeyed the command and blasted her cousin and her monster. The attack had more power behind it as she knocked Roll back into a column in the underwater city; she felt it and let out a painful scream. The others all flinched upon seeing Roll being tossed like a ragdoll by her own blood as she fell to the ground on her stomach.
"I didn't want to do this, Roll. I didn't! But you forced my hand. Understand, I'm not doing this to hurt you. I'm doing this because deep down, I love you!" said Flurry to her cousin as she grunted and lifted her head to look at her. "I just want you to make sense of this to me, Roll. Why? We belong to a generation family of duelists. We are the future. Our family has a strong grip on this. You always were the obedient one. The one who would always listen to Aunty Twily, Uncle Isaac, and everybody else in our family. Always the nice one, the one who stayed out of trouble. All you had to do to avoid this was to fall in line. Fall in line, prima, like the good, obedient daughter that you are. But you want to fight. Fight against family?"
Roll grunted as she took Flurry's words and willed herself to stand up.
"Because you wanted to do what you wanted, right? Not what's been working this whole time. Not what's kept us in the promised land! Not just got us here, but kept us on top of the mountain!" shouted Flurry as she glared at her cousin. "Everything we've been through our entire lives, Roll. All I've ever wanted is the best for you. The only thing that's ever mattered to me is doing right by you, doing right by our family. On the same page… all of us working together, ain't nobody can touch us."
The others all grimaced after hearing Flurry's speech as Mario just stood there.
"Understand this, Roll. You'll leave this duel intact with your dignity and belief in sticking with your friends. But you're also going to walk out of here with the ass-whooping that comes with it! I whooped you when we were kids, and I'm whooping you now!" said Flurry as she ended her turn, and her monster returned back to its original strength.
Turn 8: Roll (Hand 4)
"My turn," grunted Roll as she drew her card. "I summon Shocktopus(1600/800) in defense mode!"
"I activate the second effect of my Maiden's Gift!" said Flurry as her card rose up from the graveyard. "Just as I was generous with giving you cards, Roll. Now it's time for you to pay me back. My card's second effect forces you to select and summon two monsters from your deck with the same level as your Shocktopus. But if you choose to deny it, prima, you're getting slammed with 700 points of damage for every card on the field! So make the right choice, cuz."
Roll gritted her teeth. She didn't want to give in to her cousin, but… it wasn't like she could afford not to.
"Why did your cousin do that?" asked Pipp.
"Because she wants to humiliate Roll," remarked Zipp with a glare.
"Just take the damage, sis. It's not worth it," said Mario softly, knowing Roll's best option was not to obey Flurry's command.
"Alright, Flurry. I'll do things your way… for now!" said Roll.
"That's what I thought. See… isn't it much easier when you fall in line?" Flurry smiled.
"I summon Spear Shark(1600/1400) and Double Shark(1200/1600)!"
"Now… overlay them and bring out your monster. Do it, Roll," smiled Flurry as the girl gritted her teeth. "Do it! Do it!"
Flurry raised her voice as if pressuring her cousin to Xyz Summon.
"After all I gave you, you're not gonna do it!?" shouted the Crystal Prep girl.
Roll couldn't take it anymore as she put her arm out.
"I overlay Shocktopus, Spear Shark, and Double Shark! With these three monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" said Roll as her monsters turned into orbs of light and hovered in the air. A portal opened before the girl as the orbs were sucked in, and a pillar of light emerged. "This denizen of the deep is thirsting for a feeding frenzy! I Xyz Summon! Number 32: Shark Drake(2800/2300, OLU: 3)!" Eyes were shown peering through a surge of water as one growl later, it burst apart to reveal a large shark with black skin and stood on two legs.
"Yes," smiled Flurry at Roll for obeying her like the good little cousin she was.
"Shark Drake gains 300 extra attack points thanks to my Sunken Kingdom field spell, meaning it has 3100 attack points. Now… Shark Drake, attack her Tachyon Dragon! Deep Sea Destruction!" Roll's monster reeled its head before shouting a blue shark spirit from its mouth as it tore through Flurry's monster.
Flurry's Life Points: 6700-
"I now activate Shark Drake's special ability. So, by using one overlay unit, it can attack again by reviving and weakening your monster by 1000 attack points!" said Roll as a portal opened. Out came Flurry's Tachyon Dragon, appearing weaker. "Do it, Shark Drake!" With Roll's command, her monster fired another, taking out Flurry's monster again and dealing even more damage.
Flurry's Life Points: 5600-
"Thanks, cuz. You did exactly what I wanted. So… don't feel too bad when I do this. I reveal my facedown, Tachyon Chaos Hole! Because my monster was destroyed, I can banish all the cards you control."
"No!" said Roll with wide eyes.
A giant hole appeared, and it began to suck in all of Roll's cards as her monster screamed before it was sucked up and vanished. Everybody was surprised as Roll was left with nothing, while Flurry smiled.
"And there's more… but I'll wait for you to finish your turn, prima."
"I set one card facedown and end my turn," stated Roll.
Turn 9: Flurry (Hand 1)
"And now it's my turn. And time to explain the second effect of my Tachyon Chaos Hole. Instead of taking my draw phase, I can target one 'Tachyon' monster in my graveyard and summon it. So arise, Tachyon Dragon!" said Flurry as her beast rose again in its shape before popping out and roaring.
"That's not good," said Hitch.
"Yeah, well, at least Roll doesn't have to worry about Flurry using its special abilities," said Zipp.
"If you were planning on using your facedown to save you, think again, Roll. I play the spell card Energy Attractor! My Xyz monster may have no overlay units, but it's no more than a momentary inconvenience because this card and your facedown become my Xyz monster's overlay units."
"She can do that?!" said Zipp in shock.
"Now Roll really is defenseless!" said Sunny.
Two orbs then appeared as they began to circle around Flurry's monster.
"Aw, don't look at me like that, prima. I mean, this is the least you can do after all the help I've given you. Family helps each other and you helped me big time. I just hope you didn't need that facedown to make some sort of comeback." smirked Flurry as she flipped her hair. "Now… Tachyon Dragon, attack Roll directly!"
Flurry's monster roared as it opened its mouth to charge its attack. Roll could do nothing as the dragon fired a beam of energy. It hit the girl in the chest as she went flying again and crashed to the floor of the sunken kingdom and hit hard.
Roll's Life Points: 4800-
"I activate Tachyon Dragon's special ability! So, by using one overlay unit, it can attack again, but this time, it gains 1000 extra attack points until the end of the battle. Tachyon Dragon, pummel my cousin once more!" shouted Flurry as her dragon wasted no time firing its second attack.
Roll was just getting up from the floor when she saw the attack coming, and it blasted her. An explosion cloud occurred, and it made the others worry about the girl's safety. It died down as Roll lay on the ground again, having endured a fair amount of battle scuff marks on her clothes and body as she struggled to get up.
Roll's Life Points: 800-
"She's down to 800 Life Points. I can't watch this anymore," grimaced Pipp, not wanting to see her friend suffer anymore from Flurry's toying.
"How can you still love your cousin after what she's doing to your sister?" asked Zipp to Mario.
"Because… Flurry would never intentionally hurt Roll. We're family," responded the boy.
"Yeah, you could have fooled me with how the duel is going!" the heiress responded to her friend.
"You just don't get it," said Mario as he turned to look at his little sister.
The heiress just gritted her teeth upon looking at Mario, as she couldn't see why Roll still stood by his side after all he'd done to her. She understood that the girl loved her big brother, but even after all this, she questioned Roll's devotion and loyalty to her older sibling.
"I end my turn. You're up, cuz."
Turn 10: Roll (Hand 3)
"It's my turn, I draw! And I'll summon Saber Shark(1600/1200). Then, since I currently control a Water monster, I can also summon Silent Angler(800/1400). And now that I have two Level 4 monsters, I'll overlay them to build the Overlay Network!" said Roll as her two monsters turned into orbs of light and hovered in the air. A portal opened before the girl as the orbs were sucked in, and a pillar of light emerged.
"What monster is Roll gonna summon to help her?" asked Hitch.
"We're about to find out," said Sunny.
"I Xyz Summon… Number 101- Silent Honor Ark(2100/1000)!"
Apart from Mario and Flurry, a brand new monster that nobody had ever seen appeared. The girl's cousin smiled as she hoped Roll wouldn't disappoint and bring out the true ace of her deck. And she didn't, because now her friends would see her for who she really was and her power. As for the others, they couldn't believe what they were seeing. An ark appeared before them, with a face on it and the glowing number 101. Also, the fact that Roll has a card with a similar number to Flurry in her deck raised questions.
"Well, that's new. Roll never had that Number before," said Izzy.
"What is that?" said Pipp.
"That's another number over 100!" Sunny said, amazed by what she saw: two number cards over 100 on the field.
"Where did Roll get that card?" wondered Hitch.
Zipp was in disbelief before leering over at Mario, watching his little sister bust out her monster. She approached him and grabbed him by the shirt.
"What other secrets are you two hiding?!" shouted the heiress as Mario glared at her.
"Zipp, calm down!" said Sunny as Hitch arrived to break her grip on Mario and pulled her back.
The heiress couldn't believe their so-called friends were again showing off something they didn't know about. Axiom's words became increasingly true.
How do you know those two won't screw you all over in the name of their bloodline?
"Nicely done, prima," smiled Flurry at her cousin.
"I activate Silent Honot Ark's special ability. By using one overlay unit, your Tachyon Dragon is transformed into an overlay unit!" said Roll as the front of her ark fired an anchor wrapped around Flurry's dragon and began pulling it in. It entered the hole the anchor came from before it closed as inside; Flurry's monster was turned into an orb that exited the vessel and began to circle around it.
"No… way…" said Pipp as they all had their mouths open.
"She just… made that monster disappear so easily…" said Hitch, as they were in awe at Roll's monster's sheer power.
"Silent Honor Ark, attack Flurry directly!" commanded Roll. "Phantom Flood!"
The girl's monster began emitting several lasers as they all began to head toward the Crystal Prep girl.
"I reveal my facedown. Half Unbreak! Now I target one monster on the field, and not only can't it be destroyed in battle this turn, but any battle damage involved with that monster is cut in half."
"But she doesn't have a monster for that card to use," said Pipp.
"No… you're right, she doesn't… but Roll does!" said Sunny upon seeing Flurry's intent.
A barrage of bubbles began to surround Roll's Silent Honor Ark before the lasers began to bombard Flurry, creating an explosion. The Crystal Prep girl tumbled back as she managed to rotate through her momentum fully and landed on her feet; she skidded to a halt dramatically and stopped. Now having her battle scars, Flurry glared and wiped her lips with her thumb.
Flurry's Life Points: 4400-
"Wait, what happened?" asked Hitch, confused about what happened.
"Flurry's trap negated half of the damage she would have taken. She didn't have a monster to protect her, so she innovatively used her trap. By targeting Roll's monster, she cut its attack strength in half, which is not only genius but very skillful. Either way, she was prepared to use her trap regardless of the situation Roll was putting her in," said Sunny. Flurry's quick thinking amazed her and how prepared she was to handle both situations.
"I'm so proud of you, Roll. You finally brought out that monster," smiled Flurry as the girl gritted her teeth defiantly. "I do wonder what your friends will think of you since you didn't tell them."
"I end my turn with a facedown," said Roll.
Turn 11: Flurry (Hand 1)
"My turn! I draw!" said Flurry as she looked at her drawn card and smiled. "It's showtime! I activate the spell card Overlay Dark Reincarnation. I get to randomly remove one of your Silent Honor Ark's overlay units. And if that overlay unit happens to be my Tachyon Dragon, I get to summon it to my field. Plus… I draw a card. But if it's not, I lose half my Life Points."
"That's quite a gamble," said Pipp.
"Yeah, but look at her smug grin. She's not worried," commented Zipp, as Flurry didn't seem to care that she could lose half her points if she picked wrong.
"It's a 50/50 shot," said Hitch.
The two orbs circling Roll's monster stopped as they stood at each end of her ark. Flurry looked up at them and smiled as she made her decision.
"I choose the one on the left!"
The orb flew away from Roll's monster as it entered a portal that opened up. It lit up before Tachyon Dragon's card appeared before the portal, making Flurry smile even more.
"What can I say? I got the magic touch," the Crystal Prep girl smirked as her monster rose and appeared before her.
"That's not good," said Izzy.
"But the fun's not over 'cause I can draw a card now. So here goes!" shouted Flurry as she flourished and drew her card. "Exactly what I was hoping for. It's time to fight fire with fire. I activate Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force! This card ranks up my Xyz monster into a Chaos Xyz monster. I overlay Rank Eight Tachyon Dragon! With this one monster, I rebuild the Overlay Network!" Flurry's dragon transformed back into its 3-D shape before turning into an orb and hovering in the air. A portal opened before the girl, and a pillar of light emerged as the orb entered.
"Go, Chaos Xyz Evolution! Face the multiverse and ignite new life into my great beast! I Xyz Summon… Come forth, Chaos Number 107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon(4500/3000)!" Out came a three-headed golden dragon as it roared with the power of a thousand cosmos and caused everyone to look at it in awe.
"Guys… you seeing this!" said Zipp.
"Look at that thing!" exclaimed Hitch.
"It's solid raw power. All the way up to its three heads!" stated Sunny.
"This is the end for you, prima."
"Not quite, Flurry. I reveal my facedown, Tidal Advantage! Now, if your monster battles my Water monster, its attack points are cut in half during the battle. And in addition, my Silent Honor Ark can't be destroyed in battle!" stated Roll, hoping to minimize the damage she would take.
"Oh, Roll… you're so naive, little cousin. You should know me by now… when I say something is over. It's over. And that's not a prediction… that's… a spoiler." Flurry smiled. "I activate Neo Tachyon's special ability! By using one Chaos overlay unit, not only do I negate all your cards' effects, but I transcend time and return all cards to the way they were at the beginning of the turn! Time Tyrant!"
A giant light show occurred all around the field; time stopped before it began to rewind.
"What's happening?" said Pipp as they saw things beginning to go in reserve.
Things soon stopped as Roll's facedown was flipped back down, and Flurry's Rank-up Magic card, which she used to bring out her monster, reappeared in her hand.
"In that case, I'll activate my trap again!" said Roll.
"I hate to break it to you, prima… but you can't. As I said, Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon's special ability also prevents you from activating your trap!"
"Then that means…" spoke Sunny.
"That beating me is quite impossible!" said Flurry as she looked at Sunny and her crew. "Tachyon Dragon, finish my cousin off! Ultimate Tachyon Spiral of Destruction!"
Flurry's monsters had all three heads open their mouths and charged up. Roll could only look on as all three fired their attack and converged into one solid beam. The beam shot straight through Silent Honor Ark and headed for the teen. The attack appeared in Roll's pupil before it made contact and exploded. The girl was flung back and let out a defeated cry before crashing to the floor as it created a creator around her.
Roll's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Flurry
The field around changed to normal as Mario got on the field to check on his sister. Roll laid on her back as the boy bent down and held his little sibling. Roll opened her eyes as Mario brought a hand and moved some of her hair from her face. Roll smiled, seeing her brother check up on her after the beating she had just taken from their cousin. Mario smiled, knowing his little sister was alright, before turning his head to look at Flurry.
"All you two had to do… was fall in line… now… I have no choice but to teach you a lesson, Mario," said Flurry as her dragon roared, backing her up.
"It's up to you, bro. I did what I could," said Roll as she tried to get up but had to hold onto her big brother for support.
Mario just looked on as Flurry's smug expression told it all.
To be continued…
Author's Notes: In today's society's terms: This is Cinema! Flurry shows not only how strong she is, but how ruthless she can be at times. This family bloodline civil war has definitely brought out some stuff between them. And despite her best efforts, Roll did what she could before succumbing to her cousin. Now... both teams are down to one duelist each. The final duel in this King of the Hill event will be Mario versus Flurry. Only one duel left before the winner is crowned. And like Flurry says, she's the final boss.
