After the incident with Shatter at the market, the Noceda's and Ethan were flying towards Hexside, as they landed, they were greeted by a humanoid bull demon, "Greetings Noceda's," said the demon, "Hello, Principal Bannerig," said Amity as she shook the principals hand. "Is this the boy you were telling me about?" asked Bannerig." Luz nodded. Yes, Ethan was confused. He thought everyone knew about him by now, but he just shrugged it off.
"Hello, young man, my name is Winston Bannerig, and let me be the first to welcome you to Hexside School of magic and demonics," said Bannerig. "Thank you, sir," replied Ethan. Just then, the principal said, "If you'll please follow me," as the group followed, they were unaware of a figure watching them from the distance. "I'll get that watch, even if I, Revenant, have to kill you, to get it," said the figure.
Meanwhile, in the principals office, Amity and Luz were talking to Bannerig while Ethan was waiting outside the room. "So, you want to this boy into our school," said Bannerig. "Of course, we do," said Luz. "Well then, he must give us a demonstration of what he can do first, in a battle between one of our students," said the principal. Luz and Amity were confused. They didn't have to do that when they were in Hexside. "I know this isn't what you had to do, but I assure you that this will give us a chance to see what he can do," said Bannerig. "Okay, but if things go bad, stop the match," said Amity.
When they exited the room, they told Ethan. Ethan was excited that he was going to learn magic. When the group arrived at the grudgby field, they couldn't help but wonder who the student Ethan was going to battle. Just then, they saw some students sitting in the stands, as Ethan got into position, a student with dark green hair walked up to him, "Hi, I'm Peony Deamonne," said the girl. "I'm Ethan," replied the human boy. As the two kids got into position, they heard the principal say, "This will be a fair match to see the capabilities of a potential new student," Just then, a shriek was heard as everyone saw that students were running away from the school.
"What's going on," said Bannerig."Someone is destroying the school," said a student, then as if on cue, Ethan ran into the school to see what was going on. "Ethan, wait, it's too dangerous," yelled Bannerig. But Ethan wasn't stopping he was focused on helping the students get to safety while finding out who was trashing the building.
When Ethan entered the building, he saw a woman who had black, long hair, destroying the building. "Hey, lady, what the hell are you doing," yelled Ethan. "Well, well, well, look what we have here," said Revenant, as she threw some rubble at Ethan, who dodged the attack. "The watch, hand it over," demanded Revenant. She charged at Ethan, who then slammed down on his watch.
When the light dissipated in Ethan's place was a blue humanoid moth, "Who's this," he said. "Change all you want. It won't stop me from taking that watch," screamed Revenant. Before Revenant's attack could connect, all of a sudden, Ethan's body went clear, and Revenant went right through the new alien. "Wow, I can go through things," said Ethan. He started to fight Revenant, who then created some abominations to fight back against the alien, as Ethan breathed out a cold mist came out of his mouth that froze the abominations. 'Ice powers as well as flight, awesome,' thought Ethan. As the fight continued Bannerig saw how desperate Ethan was to protect the school and the students. 'That boy is putting himself in harm's way to save everyone,' thought Bannerig, "Surrender, you've got nowhere to run," said Ethan. "That's what you think," said Revenant as she broke a pillar that started to crumble as the building started to shake. "Uh,oh," said Ethan, just then he noticed that Revenant had disappeared, but that was the least of his concerns. Ethan was scrambling get people out of the building for fear it might collapse, he just finished guiding the last student when noticed that someone was unaccounted for.
"Where's the principal," he said. That made everyone scared as Ethan flew back inside to find Bannerig. Just then, Ethan found Bannerig. He was trapped underneath some rubble, and he was unconscious. Ethan picked him up and started to fly towards the exit while getting pounded by falling debris, just as Ethan flew out the door, the watched timed out just as the building came down. When Ethan hit the ground he lost consciousness. "Ethan," Shouted Amity, as she tried to wake Ethan up, "Someone call the healers," Yelled Luz.
