Chapter 5
When the healers arrived at the hospital, they immediately wheeled Ethan into the infirmary. Luz and Amity were waiting outside the emergency room, all while thinking about Ethan and how willing he was to help the students in Hexside.
"Do you think he'll be okay, Amity," asked Luz. Before Amity could respond to Luz's question, a doctor had come out of the room, "Noceda's," said the doctor. "Please, how is Ethan," asked Luz. "He managed to come out of this with only a concussion. But other than that, he's gonna pull through," reassured the doctor. This made Luz and Amity sigh in relief as Ethan was going to be okay.
As the two women entered the room, they saw Ethan laying on the bed bored out of his mind. "Ethan," yelled Luz, "We were so worried," said Amity, who was hugging and kissing Ethan on the cheek. "I'll be fine. It takes a lot, more get rid of me," said Ethan, who was returning the hug.
Luz and Amity were smiling as they were glad to see that Ethan was okay. "Ethan, there's something I want to ask you," said Luz. "What is it, Mrs. Luz," Luz had a smile as she said, "Well, I want to let you know that we're having a baby," "That's amazing to hear," said Ethan but he was curious why Luz would bring this up now. "Yes it is, If you'll please sign here," said Luz. This shocked Ethan as he covered his mouth in disbelief as he saw Luz had an adoption form with his name on it. 'I hope I did this right,' thought Luz. Amity then explained that when Ethan was training with her, Luz had gone to the adoption center where Ethan had lived and filled out the adoption form.
"C-Can, can I call you my mom's," asked Ethan. Luz and Amity simply nodded as Ethan hugged them both. This was officially the happiest day of Ethan's life as for the first time in awhile he was wanted.
