Back with Timmy, he had returned back to his house. When he saw Nina there, he knew one thing. His fairies appeared.

Wanda started to say, "Let me guess…"

Nina confirmed, "Went to dinner without Timmy."

Cosmo asked, "Wait, can we do that? Cause that is stupid!"

Poof blinked, "Wow, dad actually said something smart."

Timmy lightly chuckled before he saw Nina's look. He asked, "Nina? What's wrong?"

Nina sighed, "Timmy, my uncle…might be coming back."

Timmy did a double take. His fairies were nice enough to leave the room for them to talk.

The pink hatted boy asked the obvious, "Are you going to be evil again?"

The Goth girl quickly shook her head, "No way! I left with my mom since I felt something awful was going to happen."

Timmy stated, "Yeah, like being frozen with your boss."

Nina replied, "I didn't regret leaving evil. I did regret leaving my uncle behind."

Timmy pointed out, "You had no choice."

Nina eyed him, "You know that he doesn't know about the Darkness battle?"

Timmy was quiet for a minute before answering, "Yes I know. But that's okay. We can tell him sooner or later."

Nina teased, "Oh like telling your parents about the Tangs?"

To that, Timmy scoffed. "Please they are the last people I want to talk to right now."

Nina totally understood. She hugged her friend.

"Thanks Timmy."

Timmy returned the hug.

"Anytime Nina." They parted from their hug. He asked, "You want to check on your uncle, don't you?"

Nina nodded, "If that's okay."

Timmy replied, "Yeah, go for it. I'll stay over at the hotel for the night."

Nina texted her mom before she made a porthole to the island. She then headed out. When Nina left, Timmy's fairies appeared.

Wanda told Timmy, "You are a good kid, Timmy."

Timmy turned to his fairy godmother and replied, "Aw thanks Wanda…"

The fairies made themselves Timmy's items and then went to the hotel with the pink hatted teen.

Meanwhile, on the island, the Goth girl was trying to figure out why her magic brought her to Crash's house. It wasn't until she saw her uncle passed out on the couch that she had got her answer. She went over to him, kneeling down next to him. She felt his forehead. He felt warm. She got to her feet and got an ice pack.

When she got back, she saw that Cortex was starting to wake. She placed the ice pack onto his forehead. Cortex slowly opened his eyes as he saw his niece there.

"N - Nina…?"

Nina greeted, "Hey Uncle Neo."

The two were in an unsettling silence before her uncle spoke again.

He asked, "W - what are you doing here?"

Nina pointed out, a bit sarcastically, "I could ask you the same question."

Cortex was about to say something snarky back but decided not to. "T - the ice block was melting. I - I got back here by pure chance and then I got sick. E - end of story."

Nina teased, "Way to keep it short and sweet."

Cortex replied, "Y - you are in a rare mood."

Nina replied, "Well, I wasn't expecting to see you again."

Cortex responded, "T - to be honest, I wasn't either." He eyed his niece, who was awfully quiet at that moment. He asked, "W - where is everyone? W - where is Nance?"

Nina didn't know how to answer that. It was a long story and she didn't know if her uncle would be interested in it. So she decided to give him half the truth.

She explained, "Something happened in Dimmsdale and she wanted more help than usual. So she asked for everyone to come to help Timmy Turner for a bit."

To that, Cortex nodded. The silence settled between them again. Nina had laid down her uncle back on the couch. Cortex looked at her.

He asked, "W - what happened?" Nina explained what happened to Trixie and her folks. Cortex was in complete silence. Cortex said, "T - that doesn't sound like a normal fire."

Nina confirmed, "Yeah the fire captain and investigators confirmed what mom had suspected - arson."

Cortex started to admit, "N - now that is something I would never do and I'm…"

Cortex was quiet for a minute. Was he still evil? Or was he good? He honestly didn't know, he just didn't want to deal with Uka-Uka anymore.

Nina decided to change the subject, "So do you want to rest some more…?"

Cortex turned to Nina, "Y - yes if you wouldn't mind?"

Nina sassed, "I won't tell Crash if you won't."

Cortex smiled a bit, "D - deal."

Nina wrapped him up in a blanket, kissing his cheek before she left. While she didn't get a chance to really talk to him, it was a start. And she was okay with that.

The very next day, Timmy finally managed to ask his folks to sit down for a few minutes. Terrance and Tamara both looked at their son with great interest.

Timmy started to say, "This won't be easy for me to say but…"

Terrance perked up, "Trixie's mansion caught on fire on Saturday?"

Timmy raised a brow, "Who told you that…?"

Tamara stated, "We found out from Nina. She told us about it last night before she left for home."

Terrance asked, "Is that the reason Mr. Tang came by yesterday?"

Timmy nodded, "Yeah Trixie has been severely burned and blinded. I think they suspect arson."

Tamara gasped, "Oh how awful! Who would want to do that to them?"

Timmy shrugged. There weren't a lot of suspects.

The pink hatted boy commented, "In either event, I have to go to school soon. I think Crocker is in the hospital too for falling into a hole. Gee I wonder how that happened."

Terrance chuckled, "He isn't fairy crazy for nothing!"

Tamara replied, "Isn't that true!"

Timmy laughed as did the Turners. For a moment, for a rare moment, it seemed like they were a normal family. Before long, the bus showed up. Timmy fairies returned as his things. Timmy then said goodbye to his folks before he left. He thought, 'Well that went better than I thought.' Timmy went on the bus and sat down with his friends. Or tried to.

"Ah, there is my favorite punching bag." Francis sneered at Timmy.

Timmy raised a brow, "You have a favorite punching bag…?" He paused and added, "Oh wait, you meant me."

Francis brought up a fist, smirking. Before Timmy could make a wish, the gray bully landed a punch on Timmy.

A.J. and Chester cried out, "Timmy!"

Timmy got to his feet, or he tried to. The bus had stopped, this time at the school.

"I quit while you have a chance!"

The boys turned, seeing Darla there. Timmy was surprised. Was she one of the islanders? Or was she someone new?

Wanda whispered, "Who is she?"

Cosmo gasped, "She's the savior of the gravy!"

Poof rolled his eyes, "What gravy?"

Francis went over to Darla, totally unphased by her threat. He even laughed in her face. Darla grabbed him by the wrist, gently yet firmly. Before anyone could react, Francis was down for the count. Everyone cheered.

Darla smiled as everyone started to head into the school. It left her and Timmy alone for a moment. Timmy felt his heart pounding in his chest. He had to admit, that was pretty cool.

Darla instructed, "Time to go to your first class, Chosen One." Timmy paled and eyed her. But there was no malice in her voice. It was as if… She added, "We shall meet again, Timmy Turner. Count on it."

With that, Darla left the bus. Timmy was puzzled.

He left the bus too, seeing that it was only Tootie left behind.

Timmy stated, "Surprised that you haven't been super clingy lately."

Tootie honestly replied, "I think that I'm starting to realize you were right. Forcing someone to love you is wrong."

Timmy slightly teased, "I've been saying that for years."

Tootie giggled, "So I'm a bit slow on the uptake." She paused for a minute as they walked through the school. She added, "But something strange has been happening lately. Ever since the Tang mansion burned down. And it all seems to involve you in some way."

Timmy played dumb, "You think so?"

Tootie raised a brow and replied, "You hadn't noticed?"

Timmy pointed out, "You do realize I'm not all that smart, right?" Before Tootie could even respond, they had gotten to Tootie's classroom. Timmy quickly told her, "Okay, I'll see you later today, bye!"

With that, he ran down the hall. Tootie watched him go, with a funny feeling down in her pit of her stomach. It wasn't like the old feeling she used to have for Timmy either. It was a feeling that Timmy wasn't telling the truth. She entered her classroom. She thought, 'Well, I could ask A.J. and Chester later on. Maybe they'll know something.'
