It has been a few days since the sleepover with Rose, Kat has been grooming herself in the tub washing every crevice of her body until Kat felt she was clean enough
Kat put on a robe got out of the bathroom and decided on what clothes to wear "pick the ones with paw prints it's cute" Rose said appearing behind Kat "Ah just what I was thinking of thanks Rose" Kat said
Kat's eyes widen and she turned around to see Rose "holy jumping jack rabbits when did you get here!" Kat yelled as she gave Rose a startled expression on her face
"I did say I would be spending time with you guys one at a time didn't I" Rose said holding the story book in her hand with a huge grin plastered on her face Kat's face hardened "No" Kat said in annoyance
"But you promised that you would" Rose said with a pout "Please read the book I'm begging you" Rose said as she got on her knees practically groveling at Kat's feet
Adam walked in seeing the scene of Rose groveling in front of Kat and chuckled "what's going on why is she groveling like that?" Adam asked his wife as he kissed her cheek
"Rose wants me to read a book and now because I said no she's trying to act pitiful so I feel guilty" Kat said crossing her arms making Rose look up at Kat who was not buying her act
"Please read this story" Rose said with teary eyes making Kat flinch 'oh gods not the tears, for Pete's sake' Kat thought to herself Adam snorts in amusement knowing this was Kat's weakness
"Agh...FINE I'LL DO IT" Kat yelled swiping the book from Rose's arms the 3 of them walked into the library to read the book "I can't believe your making me read this" Kat grumbled in annoyance
Adam sat beside Kat on the sofa while Rose sat on a sofa chair Kat read the Prologue silently until she clears her throat reading aloud
Once upon a time in the hidden heart of France...a prince lived in a beautiful castle, although he had everything his heart desired He was selfish and unkind
[Kat- honestly is that all I expected him to act like this when we first met so I'm not surprised at all] Kat said making Adam sigh [Adam- that was before this is now, read] Adam said making Rose giggle and Kat sigh as she kept reading
He taxed the village and filled his castle with beautiful objects and his parties with the most beautiful people
Then one night, an intruder arrived at the castle...it was an old woman who had wandered in she offered a single Rose hoping to get shelter from the bitter cold
Repulsed by her haggard appearance the prince sneered at the gift and turned old woman away [Kat- Tsk tsk tsk, don't you know beauty is found within...you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover] Kat scolded Adam
Adam sighed as Kat interrupted herself to scold him [Adam- that was a long time ago I would have stayed that way if not for you, just read please] Adam said patiently as Kat sighed and Rose watched their interactions with a smile on her face
But the old woman warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for Beauty was found within...Kat gave Adam a smug look as he just cleared his throat wanting her to keep reading
When he dismissed her again her outward appearance changed into a beautiful Enchantress, the prince tried to apologize but it was too late
For she could see their was no love in his heart, so as punishment she turned him into a hideous beast [Kat- honestly you deserved everything you got for being a jerk] Kat said smirking
[Adam- and since them I've...what are you doing?] Adam said looking at Rose with a huge grin on her face [Rose- continue reading please] Rose said eagerly making Kat sigh
The Rose she had offered was truly an Enchanted Rose that would bloom on his 21 year if he could learn to love another and earn her love in return the spell would be broken...Years passed by and he began to lose all hope for who could ever love a Beast
