The Koopa family made their way to the dining hall and sat at the table. A few minutes later, the chefs entered the dining hall and brought everyone their breakfast. Tammy and Izzy ate oatmeal while everyone else either had French Toast, Pancakes, Waffles, or an Omlette with their favorite sides and some orange juice. Ludwig and Jasmine could hardly eat their pancakes, but tried their best.
"I should've closed the nursery door..." Ludwig sighed.
"Lulu, please don't blame yourself! It's no one's fault." Clawdia said.
"I know, but still.." Ludwig sighed again and ate a piece of bacon.
"Don't worry. We'll find Lukey and bring him back home." Wendy smiled.
Jasmine chuckled. "If he was here right now, he'd look so annoyed hearing that nickname."
Everyone laughed and continued eating their food.
The entire kingdom was called to the castle immediately after breakfast. The citizens looked up and saw Ludwig and Jasmine standing on the balcony.
"I wonder what's going on." Jenny, Tiana's sister said.
"Is someone invading or something?" Ludovico, Ludwig's rival wondered.
"You think something's wrong, Rogan?" Karrisa, Iggy's and Tiana's friend asked.
"I dunno, babe. But whatever it is, it must be serious." Rogan, Karrisa's husband and Tiana's friend, replied as he carried their son Collin on his back.
Once everyone arrived, Ludwig began to speak.
"Citizens, we have a very important announcement." He began. Everyone stayed silent, waiting for him to continue.
"Our son, Prince Lucas, is missing!" Ludwig said, making the citizens gasp and whisper to each other. Ludwig held up his hand to silence everyone and continued to speak.
"He crawled out of the castle while everyone was asleep. We have no idea where he is at the moment. We're alerting everyone to keep an eye out for him."
Jasmine then spoke up. "We'll begin searching around the nearby kingdoms. If any of you see him, please bring him to the castle immediately!"
Once they were finished, the citizens returned to their homes and shops, looking around for the new prince as they left. Ludwig and Jasmine went back inside of the castle and went to the Great Hall where the rest of the family were waiting.
"Where should we look first?" Lemmy asked.
"Well, I guess we should start with the Magma Kingdom since that's nearby. Maybe Aunt Clawdeen and others saw him and haven't told us yet." Ludwig replied.
"Oh yeah! Iggy and I can check another nearby kingdom." Tiana smiled.
"We wanna help too!" Tammy said.
"Alright. You two can come with us." Iggy chuckled.
"Bowser and I will stay here in case someone brings him here." Clawdia smiled.
"Alright. Let's get going." Ludwig said. The others nodded and followed Ludwig out of the castle.
Luke made his way out of Darkland and Meringue Clouds. He loved the soft clouds, but wanted to explore more. He crawled through another warp pipe and arrived in Rock-Candy Mines. Luke smiled and looked around the area. As he crawled around, his stomach began to growl. Luke looked around, but didn't see any milk, yogurt, or any other food. Upset, Luke began to scream and cry.
"Oh dear! You poor thing!" Luke looked up and saw a female Koopa Paratroopa with short blonde hair and glasses flying above him. She landed on the ground and picked him up.
"What are you doing out here all alone, honey? You must be starving! Don't worry. I'll give you something to eat."
The Paratroopa flew away with Luke in her arms. She made her way to a small house with a red roof and walked inside. Another Koopa, this one a Fire Bro, was sitting in the living room reading a newspaper. He looked up when his girlfriend entered the house and gasped when he saw the baby with her.
"Abbey? What's going on?" He asked.
"I was flying near the mountains and I found this sweet little guy alone crying. I don't know how he got there or who his parents are, but I thought I'd bring him here and give him something to eat." Abbey explained.
She made her way over to her boyfriend and handed Luke to him.
"Adam, can you hold him for a second? I'm gonna make him something to eat." Abbey said.
"Uh, sure thing." Adam replied. Abbey flew to the kitchen and began making Luke's food.
As Abbey cooked, Adam took another look at the baby he was holding.
"Hey Abbey?" Adam said.
"Yes hun?" Abbey replied.
"Is it me, or does this kid look kinda familiar?" Adam asked.
"Oh, does he?" Abbey said. She flew back into the living room with a bowl of mashed peas. She sat down next to Adam and began feeding Luke.
"Yeah. I feel like I've seen him before. Maybe he belongs to someone we know." Adam wondered.
"Hmm maybe. But in the meantime, we can take care of him. After I finish feeding him, I can go out and buy some diapers and a few bottles. This'll be perfect practice for when we have our own!" Abbey giggled.
Adam blushed. "O-Our own?!"
"Oh my gosh! Luke is missing?!" Clawdeen, Bowser's younger sister exclaimed. Ludwig and Jasmine arrived at her castle in the Magma Kingdom and told their family what happened.
"Yes. Iggy and Tiana are currently in another nearby kingdom looking for him." Ludwig replied.
"I'm sorry, honey. None of us have seen him. But, we'll keep an eye out for him!" Clawdeen said.
"Yeah! We'll help find the little dude!" Alex, Ludwig's younger cousin, replied.
"If you want, we can get some of our soldiers to help search." Langston, Ludwig's uncle, said.
Ludwig and Jasmine smiled. "Yes! Thank you!"
As Ludwig and Jasmine walked out of the castle, Ludwig's phone vibrated. He took it out of his shell and saw that he had a text from Iggy. He frowned when he read the message.
"Sorry bro. Luke isn't in this kingdom."
"Where could he be?" Ludwig sighed. Jasmine put a hand on his arm, trying to comfort him.
"Maybe we should alert the other kingdoms. Just in case Luke somehow made his way there." Jasmine suggested.
Ludwig smiled softly. "You're right. Let's head back home."
Ludwig and Jasmine hopped into Ludwig's Clown Car and flew back to the Koopa Kingdom.
That's it for now! I hope this chapter was alright. I'm supposed to be going to a family reunion this weekend, but if I have time, I'll write tomorrow.
Btw, Abbey and Adam were going to be one-off characters, but I might use them again :)
