Eventually a few hours later, they were allowed out to resume excavating Vengestone. As they work, Cole moves close to the Geckle with the eyepatch. "Psst!" He whispered to get his attention, and he moves close to him. "Secret meeting after Glop Time." He said. "Spread the word, and no fighting, or you'll never get the blades back." A nearby Munce was eavesdropping on them before the Geckles notices, and they both turn away, scoffing.
A few minutes later, the Geckle discreetly moves backwards towards a fellow Geckle. "Secret meeting after Glop Time." He said. "It's about the blades. No fighting!" The Geckle nods.
He heads over to another Geckle next to him. "Secret meeting, about blades..." He said. "...and fighting!"
The Geckle soon went to another one. "Secret meeting, for fighting!" He said, and the Geckle nods. Far away, the Munce that eavesdropped on Cole and the Geckle with the eyepatch came up to his fellow Munce to deliver the message and pass it on, in their own versions.
At Glop Time, Geckles and Munce were in line to get their portions of glop before they turn left toward some giant rocks, where a couple of Minos were standing guard. Behind the rocks, the Ninja look to see the Geckles and Munce coming over to them, some looking at one another. "When do we start the fight?" A Geckle asked the Ninja.
"Yeah, let's get it on!" A Geckle next to him said, throwing his bowl of glop away.
"Fight?" Blake asked. "What fight?"
"Against the Munce!" A Geckle replied, throwing his bowl of glop down and turning to the Munce. One throws his bowl down, about to fight.
"No, there's no fight!" Lloyd said.
"Which half-brain said anything about a-" Gewuji was soon cut off.
A Geckle turns to the Geckle with the eyepatch as he came over to them. "You said we were gonna have a fight." He said.
"I said, a secret meeting about the blades." The Geckle with the eyepatch replied. "No fighting!"
The Geckles and Munce start to squabble amongst themselves. "Look, guys, do you want your blades back or not?" Lloyd asked. "We think the Skull Sorcerer's got them. And if you promise to stop fighting, we might be able to get them back for you. Agreed?" They all mumble in agreement.
"Now we just have to figure out how to break out of our cage." Nya said.
"I got an idea about that." Cole replied, showing them his bowl of glop.
Several minutes later, they were all now back in their cages as Cole holds up the bowl of glop to a Mino. "Here, Mino, Mino, Mino." The Mino doesn't notice at all. "Come here, Mino."
Geoff soon stood forward and whistles a little. The Mino stops and turns around curiously before Geoff started to whistle again, and the Mino notices that it was him making the noise before he whistles again, and the Mino slowly heads for the cage. "That's it." He said, taking the bowl from Cole. "Come get your glop." He pours the glop onto the lock and chains before whistling again, making it stop and notice the glop.
"Come and get it." The Mino roars before heading towards the cage and started to chew glop coated on the lock and chains, breaking them apart. The Mino soon walked away before the Ninja open the cage and, along with the Geckles, head for a nearby tunnel.
Some skeletons on the pathway above it look down to see the cage empty and open, causing them to gasp before hearing sounds of fighting and turned to see Lloyd, Cole and Blake, who had taken down some skeletons. Before it could raise the alarm, a stone hits it, making it turn around to see Kai, who immediately punched it, making it come apart before Jay, Zane, Nya, Geoff and Gewuji came up from behind him as Lloyd, Cole and Blake join them. "You go release the Munce, Blake, Cole and I will go find the blades." Lloyd said. Cole and Blake nod before they all take off.
Lloyd, Cole and Blake run across a pathway before reaching a tunnel underneath a stairwell which would lead into the temple.
In the tunnel, which also had a stairwell, the three Ninja ran up them before Cole stops and held his arms out to make Lloyd and Blake stop upon hearing footsteps. They quickly jump and grab hold of the wall as a row of skeletons pass by underneath them before they move along the wall and drop down at the top of the stairwell to some green glowing crystals rooted into some staffs, that look like lanterns before Lloyd and Blake head for one corner and Cole quickly rolled to reach the other corner. Upon hearing nothing, Lloyd grabs a crystal before he and Blake move forward. What laid ahead was a room with crates of Vengestone all over. "Whoa. Look at all this Vengestone."
"The blades! That's all that matters. Find the blades!"
"Right, no time to lose." Blake said before they split up to search the room.
Cole then notices a path up ahead. "Lloyd, Blake!" He called out to them, and they turn to him before they head down it. When they reach the end of the path, and Lloyd threw the crystal aside, they discover that they may now be in the main part of the temple as there were some giant purple glowing crystals on each side of the entrance, a giant chasm between two stairwells which were arched with broken ribcages, a chain hanging over said chasm. They look down the gap as a part of the edge comes loose, and the pebbles fall down the chasm. "Whoa, careful. You don't want to fall down there."
Rumbling was soon heard from a tunnel above them before Blake notices a pedestal up ahead. "Look!" He said, pointing out to it. They rush over to the pedestal to find something covered by a cloth.
Out of curiosity, Cole grabs hold of the cloth and pulls it back, revealing the green skull, which soon woke up and stared at them, making them gasp out of shock. "Thieves!" It yelled. "Interlopers! Intruders! Trespassers!"
Suddenly, the skull glows brighter, creating a vortex around them before they turn to the entrance and see the Skull Sorcerer fly in before landing in front of them. "You have made a grave mistake coming here." He said before taking flight again.
They all soon poise before the skull passes between Lloyd and Blake. "Now, you will pay!" The skull comes up to the Skull Sorcerer, who grabs it before throwing it at the three Ninja, who quickly spread out across the room. The Skull Sorcerer throws the skull at Cole, who strikes it with both fists, sending it high into the air before it comes across Blake, who spins and kicks it to Lloyd, who backflips to kick it over to the pedestal. The Skull Sorcerer starts to head for it as Lloyd, Blake and Cole use the opportunity to make a break for it. The Skull Sorcerer picks up the skull and turned to see the three Ninja leave before chasing after them, noticing Blake was lagging behind. Blake, who realised it, comes across some Vengestone crates before grabbing a few pieces and throws them at the Skull Sorcerer. He manages to dodge most of them, but a sharp piece tears his kimono and strikes his right leg, causing him to growl in pain as he sees the sharp piece of Vengestone has left him with a massive cut on his right leg.
They exit the temple through a tunnel above the one they entered through, where Lloyd drops the crystal before looking over the railing as growling was soon heard, and they turn to see some skeletons marching toward them. "This way!" They somersault over the railing, landing in front of the tunnel they first took and start to run as some skeletons chase after them.
By the cages, Kai, Jay, Zane, Nya, Geoff, Gewuji and the Geckles watch as a Mino chewed through the lock and chains of the Munce's cage before they land and the cage opens up. Briefly cheering, they all turn to see Lloyd, Cole and Blake running down a pathway as skeletons chase after them. "They do not appear to have found the blades!" Zane said before turning left to see some skeletons coming out of a tunnel and charging at them.
"What they found is trouble!" Kai replied as the Geckles and Munce start taking off.
"Run!" Geoff yelled before they take off as well.
They all run across a bridge before Nya and Gewuji notice some cauldrons of glop nearby. "Get the glop!" Nya tells the boys, who stop and turn to it. They head over to the cauldrons before grabbing them.
"I'll get the gate!" Gewuji said, running past them to head over to a nearby gate with Minos behind it as the skeletons chase after her before Kai and Geoff threw the first cauldron of glop at them, covering them in it, until they notice some coming from behind the serving rock, and Jay and Zane threw the next cauldron at them, covering them in glop too.
"Come get your glop!" Geoff called out to the Minos.
Gewuji pulls a lever, opening the gate and freeing the Minos. "Go, go!"
The Minos look at the glop covered skeletons before roaring in delight and ran at them as they quickly take off, and the Minos chase them. "Bon appétit."
By the gong, Lloyd, Cole and Blake stop near it when skeletons start coming up to them and the skeletons behind them were catching up before Lloyd turned left to see some hanging cages. "The cages!" He said, pointing out to them. "Jump!" Lloyd jumps onto the first cage before Cole does so as well, followed by Blake. Unfortunately, a skeleton jumps and grabs hold of Cole's right foot before he kicks it off, letting it fall.
Down below, Jay, Nya and Geoff were following Murt in the confusion, and Kai, Zane and Gewuji were following some Geckles.
Up on the cage, Lloyd, Blake and Cole see the whole thing before they hear hissing and look up to see the Skull Sorcerer, leg bleeding, charging at them. Lloyd dropped down to grab hold of the bottom, swinging the cage, as the skull fired a few blasts at them before they start to jump to another cage, and then jump again with Lloyd screaming. Lloyd lands on top of a Mino before rolling onto the ground while Blake landed on top of a cage and Cole lands somewhere in the middle.
Lloyd gets up to try and get away, only to stop and spun as two Geckles pass by him and the Minos were blocking his path. Blake runs across the cage roof before jumping off and landing close to where Kai, Zane and Gewuji were. As the Skull Sorcerer tries to look among the fleeing prisoners, Lloyd bumps into Geoff as he, Nya and Jay were still following Murt. "This way!" He said, pointing in their direction to a tunnel before they take off with Lloyd behind them. "Come on!"
Blake runs towards Kai, Zane and Gewuji as they head for a nearby tunnel before stopping to see the Skull Sorcerer shooting at Cole. "Cole, this way!" Kai yelled.
Cole slips and slides to the right before heading towards them. "Hurry up!" Gewuji yelled. Unfortunately, the Skull Sorcerer uses the skull to fire a blast at the tunnel's entrance, causing it to collapse as Cole managed to stop before he would get buried underneath it.
On the other side, Kai, Zane, Gewuji and Blake see the entrance cave in. "Cole!" Blake called out.
"He'll have to take another tunnel." Zane replied. "Come on!" They immediately ran down their tunnel.
Back in the mines, Cole runs along the bridge, trying his best to avoid the Skull Sorcerer's shots before coming across a tunnel where a Mino was in front of before it stops and, while still avoiding the shots, drops, rolls and slides underneath it before rushing down the tunnel. The Skull Sorcerer fires a shot at the Mino, who takes off in fear, and heads into the tunnel.
He comes across a cave where he stops and looks around, only to find multiple tunnel entrances before screaming in anger, unable to find which tunnel Cole had taken. "****!" He yelled.
