Chapter 64 Prisoners (Kadic Bombshell)
A.N. – The hiatus is over! It is now a strong charge to the end of this story! But first we got a few chapter in front of us.
Short Summary – After a new girl causes problems between Odd and the group, he does the unthinkable, and Xana and A take advantage of the situation.

Aelita's Point of View
Aelita and the group is in class, listening the end of Romeo & Juliet. The only one who cries in class is Sissi. Once the teacher finishes, the bell rings and class disperses. "What didn't you like about it Odd? It's a wonderful love story" Aelita asks.
"That's just it, it's a story. Give yourself for love?" Odd replies.
"Given your history, you haven't found a girl who is willing to die for you" Jeremy adds.
"What about you Ulrich? Would you die for Yumi?"
"Better believe it" Ulrich replies confidently as Yumi and William appear behind him.
'Odd set him up. Hopefully Yumi didn't notice, but it would be nice if she did' Aelita thinks as Odd was about to tell them about earlier.
"Hey Aelita, I think I figured out a way for improving source logarithms and I could use your help" Jeremy suggests to her.
"That's sounds great, but first, let's have lunch!" Aelita runs off and he chases after her. "Jeremy, would you die for me?"
"Of course. What makes you think I wouldn't?"
"Don't know. You don't seem like the one to dies for love."
"I'll die as long as you get to live Aelita."
The both of them are discussing the new programs Jeremy made, when he catches a glimpse of the new girl. While the boys are struck, the girls seem to be less than impressed. After lunch is over, Odd accidentally bumps into the new girl.
"Watch where you're going, huh creepo?!" Sissi yells at him.
"Oh Sissi, one of these days, someone is gonna…" He stops talking once he sees the new girl's eyes, smiling widely.
"Oh, it's alright" The girl tells him, with her accent.
The gang is now in the rec room, and Odd cannot stop talking the new girl, Bringa. "I tell you, she's something else! She's gorgeous and slim and her hairs like gold! And did you see those deep, clear green eyes? Absolutely incredible! Wow! And did you get a look at that beautiful, soft skin she has? Bringa's noy just beautiful, beautiful is not the word…she's I don't know she's…well, she's…"
"You mean ugly?" Aelita asks, everyone except Odd laughs.
"You talk about her as if she's the 8th wonder of the world" Yumi points out as Odd scores against Ulrich.
"That's right, those are the words I was looking for! Bringa is the eighth wonder of the world!" Odd says.
"Odd, are you sure you don't have a problem with…" Ulrich starts.
"An overheated brain" Jeremy finishes.
"That's what I meant."
"It's not my fault I caught Bringa's eye, and you didn't!" Odd brags to him.
"You're not thinking Odd. Everyone who came in contact with her was like a drooling slob" William tells him.
"You know something? You're just jealous!" Odd defends.
The door opens. "Oh, there you are Odd," Bringa is standing in the doorway. "Are those your friends? I'd like to meet them."
"Why sure Bringa!" He steps forward. "Aelita, Yumi."
"Hello" Yumi starts.
"Bringa" Aelita finishes.
"William, Ulrich, and Jeremy" Odd says.
"Are you the one whose name is Einstein?" Bringa smiles at Jeremy.
"You look very intelligent!"
"Yeah…" He smiles widely.
"Ulrich, William, you two know how to fight. Maybe you can teach me?"
"Maybe later" William answers for them both.
"It was nice to get to know all of you. Shall we go for a walk, Elksan?" She pulls Odd to her.
"That means sweetheart!" Odd tells them, running off with her.
"I wonder what she sees in Odd" Ulrich asks.
"What every other girl sees, his charm" William responds.
"Yeah, you're right," Jeremy agrees with him. "Bringa needs somebody a little more intellectually developed!"
"Did you guys realize you're talking about your friend? Even you Jeremy, you got the fried brains!" Aelita scolds him.
"You're wrong Aelita. I was just working out the statistical probability of a girl as pretty and charming as Bringa falling in love with a guy like Odd!"
"You're no different Ulrich. Luckily, William saved you from looking like an idiot" Yumi remarks.
The two girls get up and leave.
Later that night, the group all confronted Odd.
"Huh?" Odd shuts his door. "Did I miss an episode?"
"Odd, we have to talk, seriously" Yumi starts off.
"Since you and that girlfriend of yours started hanging out, there's been a lot of friction in our group" Ulrich starts.
"She's messing with our heads and with A knowing the most about us and our future missions, we need to be on our A game" William adds.
"It's not very good for our missions," Jeremy states to him. "Bringa is coming between us, and…"
"You should stop hanging out with her now Romeo" Aelita crosses her arms.
"You actually want me to stop hanging out with Bringa just because you guys can't get along? It's not her fault or mine either! The problem is you and your jealously" Odd opens the door.
"Odd, wait, it's a big problem!" Yumi pleads to him.
"Maybe for you, but not for me! In fact, I have a date to go on with your problem, so ciao!"
"He's gone" Ulrich says.
"Forget him. Our main focus is A and Xana" William says.
"Yeah, that's what scares me" Jeremy adds.
Aelita and Jeremy are in the computer lab. "The program will run all night. We'll have to wait till tomorrow" Jeremy explains to Aelita.
"Still thinking about Odd?" Aelita asks.
"I was wondering if our gang will survive this 8th wonder of the world…"
"Honestly, I wouldn't worry. This will last two days, just like his other past girlfriends."
"I don't know. I think that girl has turned our Casanova into a Romeo!"
"This would be another prime moment for A to be here. Know what happens next."
"I'll probably never say this again, but her being with Xana right now is probably the best thing. Anything she could tell us now, would cause major disruptions in the original timeline and alter her future."
The next morning, Jeremy and Aelita go to the lab to investigate an alert that Jeremy got, but then stopped. "You sure you heard the alarm?" Aelita asks as they rush in.
"Sure, I'm sure. And I don't think my computer's gone paranoid. So that's why we've gotta hurry and find out what's going on. Still no activated tower. Now let me check the log. Bingo! There's a system alert, alright, but not from this morning. It was at 12:36 last night. Interesting…" The superscan comes up again. "Huh?" In the desert sector, all that sits is a deactivated tower. "This is getting weirder every second. Look, the supercomputer says that there's an activated tower in the desert sector. But in terms of digital activity, nothing's going on."
"What's the cause of these false alarms? You think it's a virus?" Aelita turns to him curiously.
"It could have been a problem with the program that we launched last night…but I don't get it. I checked everything out. Here are my calculations. Oh no!"
"What's wrong?" She turns to the screen.
"The program has been modified! Some sort of parasitic foreign data was entered into the supercomputer. Someone came here last night for sure." He checks out the security camera footage and finds Odd bringing Bringa inside.
"Uh oh. Looks like Odd made a big fat mistake."
"No, I think his mistake is more like skinny and blond" Jeremy says fast forwarding. They watch Bringa sit in the chair and tap a key. Odd stops her.
"No Bringa, don't touch anything!" Odd exclaims.
"Only your too late Odd" Jeremy comments as they see his grin.
"Well, no need to look any further Jeremy. Odd gave away our secret" Aelita sighs a bit.
"It was Bringa. By touching the keyboard, she modified my program and that's what messed up the supercomputer,"
"Can you fix it Jeremy?"
"Yeah, but the problem is that it might take a little while. And of course, during that time, Xana could-" The superscan interrupts him. "Activated tower! Though it could be another false alarm…"
"Yes, but we can't be sure. Send me to Lyoko" Aelita tells him.
"Uh uh, too risky."
"But not knowing what Xana could be up to is even riskier. You need someone there like before we had the superscan."
"Yeah, you're probably right," he relents in defeat. "Get in. The activated tower should be in the northwest part of the forest sector."
"Gotcha!" She exclaims from inside a scanner.
"Transfer Aelita. Scanner Aelita. Virtualization."
She doesn't arrive in the forest sector, but in the ice sector. She lands and notices her surroundings. "Jeremy, you made a mistake. You sent me to the ice sector."
He pushes up his glasses. "No, I didn't make a mistake. I virtualized you in the forest sector. Oh, we really have a huge problem."
Aelita is meditating in the ice sector alone. "Where are you Aelita?" Jeremy asks her.
She opens her eyes, looking up. "I don't feel any pulsations. I don't think there's a problem" she gets onto her feet.
"Okay then. I'm gonna bring you back in right now. I don't like you being all alone in Lyoko. Materialization Aelita."
Instead of bringing her back to Earth, she ends up in the mountain sector… "Oh no Jeremy. Another major problem. Believe it or not, I'm in the mountain sector!" She looks up ahead. "And I'm not alone either…"
Approaching her direction are two bloks and two kankerlots.
"Okay Aelita, I'll warn the others" Jeremy says as she runs off.
A's Point of View
A spots the monsters Xana sent firing at Aelita. She takes flight and so does A. She flies behind and grabs her. "Got you!" A lands and disables Aelita's wings. "Just because you learned how to fly doesn't mean you're better than me." She turns her around to face her. "And now, it's just you and me."
Aelita forms an orb in her hands and fires it. A goes flying back, and her wings disappear. A puts on a face of disappointment. A jumps on a rock and spots Aelita below. "Looking for someone?"
Aelita fires an orb which she barely dodges. She then quickly flies past her. She activates her own wings and takes off after her. Aelita looks behind her and sees A approaching…fast. A kankerlot shoots her down and a lands close to her, picking her up. "Xana will have you as his trophy. And soon our father will be his greatest accomplishment." A fan comes in, slashing A's wrist. She drops Aelita.
"Hey A, you should tell Xana we never abandon our friends" Ulrich tells her. The fight continues and William, Ulrich and Yumi's life points are dropping rapidly.
"Hey William, Ulrich, Yumi, go real easy, okay? If you guys get devirtualized before I can fix the program, I'm not sure that I can bring you back to Earth again."
Yumi tosses her fan at a kankerlot and destroys it. She catches it in her hand with an annoyed look on her face. "And you're telling us this now?!"
She absorbs some lasers with her fans. William and Ulrich dueling with A. "Great, we're barely holding on and now we got to worry about going away for good."
"Now you'll know how I felt trapped on Lyoko. And I'm about to give Xana the best victory possible" A says.
"We'll see about that.'
"Trust me, I don't plan on losing" A says with an evil smirk. The three clash and A plays defense while Ulrich tries offense and William with an added counter. Ulrich and A lock blades. "Remember Ulrich, defense is the best offense." She is able to dislodge Ulrich's sabers. She slashes him and he devirtualizes.
"Ulrich, no!" Yumi exclaims, and then she's devirtualized herself.
"Not Yumi too…" William says.
"You should worry about yourself" A tells him before she devirtualizes him as well.
Aelita fires an energy field at the kankerlot that hit her, destroying it. A runs up to her, and she's unfortunately all alone…again.
"Now time for me to deliver my prize to Xana" A says as she approaches Aelita.
"Laser arrow!" Odd shouts as he hits A in the back. She lands on her knees. "Hey A, back off. Aelita doesn't want to be on anti-Lyoko crusade with you."
"You think you can stop me? I doubt it" A tells him, hoping he'll rush her.
"Yeah, and I'll prove it. Laser arrow!" He is able to hit A.
"If I'm going down I'm taking her with me!" A fires an energy orb at Aelita knocking her over the edge.
Aelita's Point of View
The next thing Aelita knew she was falling towards the digital sea. She then sees Odd fire an arrow at her bracelet. Her wings pop out and she grabs Odd before he can fall to the digital sea.
Odd and Aelita come out of the scanners, with everyone waiting for them.
"Well, I know what you're gonna say," Odd states once he steps out. "I betrayed you and I'm a total lame-o, and I should be kicked out of the group…" They just stare at him. "And you're right too, guys. I should never have shown the supercomputer to Bringa. It's unforgivable!"
"Well, no, you simply forget that inside that head of yours, there happens to be a brain!" Jeremy says to him.
"Yeah, but I think we all acted out because of her" Ulrich admits to him.
"Yeah," Yumi smiles a little. "We all went a little too far because of Bringa."
"Well, I forgive you Odd," Aelita smiles at him. "I mean you saved me from A!"
"Well…still friends?" Odd asks.
"Still friends" Ulrich answers.
"Never changing" William adds.
"There is still a way to fix the mess I made. A little return to the past, hm?"
"Oh, that won't be necessary, I don't think" Jeremy admits.
"Bye Bringa!" The students tell her as she's actually leaving Kadic. They all follow her.
"Can you believe that? She completely forgot to say goodbye to me!" Odd complains jokily.
"Well, now do you see why I'm not worried about the supercomputer Odd?" Jeremy asks him.
"Who cares about Bringa anyways? There's no shortage of girls around here."
"Hey Sissi," Ulrich calls out to her. "I thought Bringa was gonna be here for four days?"
"Well, let's just say I convinced my father to send her out of town to my cousins place. She wanted to see the country, so I said why not?" Sissi replies.
"I guess for you, that's a relief, cuz now that Bringa's gone, she can't steal the show!" Odd comments to her.
"You may not believe it Odd, but it was really a pleasure. You know, I sometimes envy you two," she gives Yumi and Aelita a look. "Because being surrounded by guys all the time could never happen to you!"
"Aww, now, now, that's the Sissi we all love! How could I have flipped over Bringa?"
"Get away from me!" Sissi runs away from him.
"Sissi, Sissi, wait! Wherefore art thou, Juliet?"
"Looks like our Romeo is at it again!" Ulrich states as they all laugh.
A.N. – Next time, the concert. The ending of that will change a bit if you remember the scene from Opening Act. I know I'm skipping a bunch of episodes, but one was gonna be skipped regardless. The two episodes where A would appear, would be mostly carbon copies. But this story only has six weeks left. Episode 89, 92 -95, and the bonus chapter. PM me with story ideas!
