Countdown to the Draft
Part 6: Even Rusherz need to relax
April 15, 2014; HOK...
Pillage: *shudders* Yeesh, I can't believe how bad the situations gotten.
Pillage, Peg-Leg, Fang and Soar were outside shaking as they heard Stampede SCREAMING on the phone. They had just found out about a, CERTAIN, situation regarding cheer workers and needless to say...STAMPEDE WAS LIVID when he heard what's been going on with his team.
Stampede's voice: *Livid* I DON'T BLAME THEM FOR WANTING TO SUSPEND WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM! THIS ISN'T THE GREAT DEPRESSION THEY SHOULD BE PAID FOR THEIR HARD WORK! AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THAT 'TEST'!
Soar: *shivers* Can still hear the venom...should we-
Fang: *horror* NO! Absolutely not telling children that. We can tell them about the situation but no way we are telling them THAT yet.
Peg-Leg: -sighs- Aye, we have the money to do so why aren't they doing it.
Pillage: I try not to ask questions regarding money and humans with how frustrating it is, don't want my brain to turned to mu-
The door slammed opened as Stampede threw the phone to the wall breaking it. They turned seeing his eyes red and his veins pulsing. Stampede was breathing heavy, shaking in anger as he sighed to try and calm himself.
Soar: *bit of fear* S-Stamp-
Stampede *Hidden anger* I'll be out for a while, excuse me.
With that he walked away, leaving the four Rusherz shaking.
Peg-Leg: *shaken*...OH HE'S PEEVED.
Canton city...
Ish: -whistles- DANG. The league is being pummeled right now.
The Guardians were hanging out around town, one of the topics being the current situation in the NFL.
Tua: I know. Stallion almost destroyed the room if Steed and Cyclops haven't been with him, I DO NOT BLAME HIM.
Ricky: Now I'm happy that Freefall gave us that lecture on drinking safety even though we're still young. Can never be to ready.
Ash: I'm worried on how the Rusherz are feeling with the lawsuits, Stampede must be livid-
Marty stopped them in place seeing Stampede walking into a building.
Marty: Isn't that him right now?
Troy:...Why is he going in a spa?
.
.
Inn Walden, an hour later...
Stampede: *relaxed* -sighs- Oh I needed this.
Stampede was laying on the table as the Masseuse massage his back, hearing the small cracks as she went on.
Masseuse: My goodness, the recent news has been a stresser for you huh?
Stampede: *relaxed* Oh yeah, you should of seen me earlier. I broke the phone throwing it and scared the others. Gotta apologies to them. Urg, i swear sometimes I wish we had a jar on the amount of idiots we deal with.
Masseuse: Agree with you there.
CRACK!
The Masseuse stopped as Stampede sighed in relief, almost melting on the table.
Stampede: *relaxed* OH THAT FELT NICE. Shoulder feels so much better now.
The Masseuse smiled as she went back to work.
Masseuse: I bet that did. Your full of so much nerves from all this, you did the right thing coming over.
Stampede blinked as he felt all his nerves and anger vanish.
Meanwhile, HOK...
The Guardians walked in seeing the others in worry.
RZ: Guardians, happy you made it for training today.
Troy: Yeah, you won't believe who we saw heading into a spa.
That got their attention as they turned their heads now in confusion.
Cyclops: Who?
Ish: It was Stampede, he looked tick so-
Pillage: (all sighs of relief) *relieved* OKAY He's there. Good, no one's beaten to a pulp.
Ash: *confused* Um...that's, a good thing?
RZ: It is, earlier Stampede was on a call with his team. Needless to say, he was very...angry. He left in anger and we did not know where he went.
Soar: We got worried for a while there since he went irate on the league, had red eyes and everything.
Ricky: So, going to the spa was a good thing?
Liberty: Yeah. Stampede goes to spas since he get tense muscles and bones when he's stressed or extremely angry.
The Guardians were surprised to hear this new information.
Marty: Had no idea he was a spa goer. That does explain why he was going in there though.
Pick-Ax: Just something he likes to do, not to mention it helps him ALOT.
Freefall: Should be back in an hour or two...*smirks* surprise?
Tua: Yeah little bit. But, Rusherz need to relax too.
The Guardians nodded in agreement smiling.
Ricky: You guys have your own ways of relaxing. If going to the spa helps Stamps than that's his thing.
That made the Rusherz smile, all the worries from earlier today was gone.
RZ: We still will speak to Stampede about the phone, but for now let him relax.
.

.
One hour later...
Stampede sighed as he walked down the stairs, the same time the Guardians walked out of the training room.
Stampede: Hey there, training was good?
Ash: Yeah, good training day.
Ish: How was the spa?
Stampede: *relived* Relaxing! I really needed that i swear the league can some-*shock* Sorry HUH?!
The present Rusherz and RZ laughed at his reactions to the Guardians nonchalant question, the Guardians giggling.
RZ: They saw you heading inside while they were out.
Marty: Needless to say with what's going on, you needed to relax. Least we know what you like to do to chill.
Stampede: *blushing;sheepish* Hehe, YEAH. I was, uhh, not pleased. Sorry for breaking that phone RZ.
RZ: It's fine, luckily the phone was not too damaged. Just needed the screen to be replaced.
Stampede turned to see Pillage, Peg-Leg, Fang and Soar looking at him in worry. Stampede walked over, a bit of guilt on his face.
Stampede: I-I'm so sorry for scaring you four like that.
Pillage: No no, we completely understand you frustration with the situation. Cant' believe this was happening under our noses.
Soar: We're just as frustrated too but, what we heard from your side..Are you going to be okay?
Stampede: -sighs- I will be once this conflict is over. If they need to stop I won't stop them, and i won't blame them either.
Peg-Leg: Understandable. Let's hope these ladies and gentlemen get the checks, know it might be while given the different states laws.
Marty: IT"S VERY CONFUSING STILL!
They turned to see Marty waving and nodding in agreement, his friends giving silent chuckles shaking their heads.
Stampede: *loud* WELCOME TO THE CLUB BEEN QUESTIONING THEM SINCE WE GOT HERE! *To the others* See, Kids even know how confusing these differnt state laws are.
That got them chuckling.
.
.
Stampede: Figure you kids would know what's going on a bit.
They Guardians were taking a break from training again, Stampede sitting with them alongside Pillage.
Tua: Yeah. We've Been keeping an ear on the talks along with what's going on with the Colts during the off-season. I assume you were just told of this recently.
Pillage: Yeah, it's annoying when this stuff gets hidden or kept secret from us. But could be cause they don't want to be in our line of fire.
Troy: Given what Stampede did, i wouldn't be surprised if they come out banged up like a football game.
They rest nodded in agreement...then they got worried.
Stampede: What's wrong?
Ish: *worried* W-Well...there is something we're worried about. It's about the Bronco's owner, Pat Bowlen.
Both Rusherz felt their hearts sink and break seeing the worry and sorrow in their eyes.
Ricky: *worried* Just...His illness is getting worse. He forgot about the patrol from last week asking if we are coming over yesterday.
Pillage: *sorrow* W-We know. Steed thinks he might retire soon due to it progressing so much in a short amount of time.
Marty: *worried* Whose going to take over the team then if-if he's retiring?
?: Joe Ellis will be till he retires.
All turned to see Steed walk in, they could see the sorrow in his eyes as he sat down next to them.
Stampede: *concern* How is he?
Steed: Getting worse, absolutely getting worse he-he ask me about...well *trails off*.
All pale knowing full well who Pat was asking about. Ish patted Steed's back as some tears fell, the Bronco Rusher wiping his eyes.
Steed: Arg...i hate this disease. Just, I HATE IT.
The group saw that Steed had a bit of a tired look on his face. Ish was quiet for a while...then an idea popped in his head as he made a warm smile.
Ish: Hey, you think this is a good day to take us to that restaurant you wanted us to see.
Steed looked eyes, the worry and sorrow is his eyes fading to a small bit as a smile form on his face.
Pillage: Hey that's a good idea. You've been wanting to take the kids over to Buckhorn Exchange for a few months now.
Stampede smiled nodding in agreement.
Steed: *Small smile* Yeah, that sounds like a great idea. I could use a little break and relaxation.
That got the Guardians smiling, happy to help the Bronco relax.
They all could use some relaxation before the draft in a couple of days. Perhaps after the draft they could take over lookout duty for the Rusherz, they all need to relax too after all.
