So in this chapter is where my favorite Turtle gets to shine, because if you've read my previous stories you'd know Don has gotten a ton of grief to marry the one he loves thus he has learned a valuable lesson to never stand in the way of true love also once again trying to get back into the Turtles as I've gotten into human characters from BTAS and Punch Out to explore Human/Anthro Animal romance.

So while Von Kaiser was trying to once again restrain a Glass Joe who was practically frothing at the mouth at the moment, Disco Kid desperate to try to defuse the situation stepped forward.

"We don't have time for this!" Disco Kid pleaded "We're trying to find who actually kidnapped Dana! Her creators! Apparently they're called the International Brain Trust...We got the tip that the red van that grabbed her was headed to the warehouses by the docks!"

The Turtles realizing they were in fact after the wrong people and they were wasting time while Dana was in real danger!

"All right…" Leo huffed "...We're heading for the docks."

"Let us go with you…" Piston Hondo pleaded

Leo looked over his shoulder, behind his stoney expression the more spiritually sensitive boxers like Piston Hondo and Great Tiger could see behind the flickering fires in his eyes that he was beginning to feel doubts about his previous assumptions.

But he still huffed and said "Sorry...The Mutants have to take care of their fellow Mutants…"

As the Turtles began to leap on trash cans and fire escapes to get back to the rooftops, Donatello began to follow them but then stopped

"You guys go on ahead…" The purple banded turtle called after his brothers, "...I need to check something real quick than I'll catch up!"

The other turtles seemed to accept this and once they were safely out of sight, Don approached the Boxers, he looked positively ashamed of how his leader had been acting!

"I got to make this quick…" Don said quietly "...But I need you to know that the rest of us don't agree with how Leo has been acting...We think his overprotectiveness has gone into overdrive!"

Glass Joe sighed with relief with this new knowledge that the rest of the Turtles didn't agree with their leader's views "At least you have some manners…" Glass Joe said as he wiped away some tears "...Unlike your blue banded brother…"

"Yeah I'm real sorry about that…" Don said as he rubbed the back of his head "...I don't know what's got into him or why he hates you guys so much! But it seems to be more than he thinks you're a bunch of cheaters...But you…" He turned to Glass Joe

"...You really do love her don't you?"

Glass Joe felt more tears brewing, he quickly wiped them away "I wasn't sure if I did at first, I didn't know if I could love...An animal woman...But I realized she has been more kind to me than any human woman ever had! She rescued me from the deep despair I had been over my miserable career!"

Don sighed "I know the feeling...Not that I have really been a professional athlete...I don't count the Battle Nexus….But I know that feeling of being in a deep dark pit that you can't climb out of, and then...Almost like divine intervention...It seems like an angel comes out of nowhere to offer you her hand to get you out...And I also know what it's like to get a bunch of grief for the one you love…" Don took a deep breath "...But fortunately...We had some allies who taught me to never stand in the way of true love! So I'm going to help you…"

He reached into his belt and pulled out a small metal circle and handed it to Von Kaiser.

"This is a tracking device, I'll hold onto the other one...Follow us at a distance so Leo doesn't catch on."

Remembering what I learned about the Roman playwright Plautus how his comedies always followed the theme of a love struck couple being kept apart and various hijinks often orchestrated by a clever slave is what helps true love win the day, this is what later evolved into the Commedia Dell'arte and while my stories are significantly less...Comical than those stories in a why they do carry on the tradition
