Jonny vs Rolf
The day of the finals has finally arrived; Kevin and Nazz were in the bleachers, with Nazz holding Plank, eagerly awaiting the match between Jonny and Rolf to begin.
"This is it, Kevin." said Nazz.
"Yeah, it's gonna be intense." said Kevin.
Jonny and Rolf were standing across from each other on a field with rocky terrain and a small river, waiting for their battle to begin.
"Ladies and Gentlemen; we are here for the final match of the Lumiose Conference!" said the announcer. "These two trainers have battled for days to earn their spots here today! Both trainers come from the same town that the Eds live. What sort of battle will these two show us today?!"
"I hope you battle with honor, Jonny the Wood Boy." said Rolf.
"Oh, you know I will, Rolf." said Jonny. An official steps out onto the field.
"This finals match of the Lumiose Conference between Rolf and Jonny, both of Peach Creek, is about to begin." said the official. "Each trainer will use all six of their Pokemon. The trainer who defeats all their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner and champion. Let the match begin." The official move to the sidelines as Rolf and Jonny each pull out a pokeball.
"Let's go, Linoone!" said Jonny, throwing Linoone's pokeball and releasing him.
"Jonny starts things off with his Linoone." said the announcer.
"Diggersby, Rolf chooses you!" said Rolf, throwing Diggersby's pokeball and releasing him.
"And Rolf responds by brnging out his Diggersby." said the announcer.
"Wow; me and Rolf starting off with the very first Pokemon we caught here in Kalos." said Jonny. (A/N: Jonny and Rolf didn't catch their starters, they were given to them.)
"Diggersby, Quick Attack!" said Rolf. Diggersby charges at Linoone with incredible speed and rams Linoone, knocking him back.
Linoone, use Tail Whip!" said Jonny. Linoone leaps at Diggersby and wags his tail into him, weakening his defense.
"Diggersby, Double Kick!" said Rolf. Diggersby jumps at Linoone and kicks him twice, dealing super effective damage.
"Linoone, Headbutt!" said Jonny. Linoone charges at Diggersby and rams him in the gut, dealing damage, and making him flinch. "Now use Slash!" Linoone swings his paw upward and slashes Diggersby with his claws, dealing more damage.
"Use Strength!" said Rolf. Diggersby grabs Linoone with his ears and slams Linoone onto the ground, damaging him.
"Sand Attack!" said Jonny. Linoone turns around and begins kicking sand into Diggersby's eyes, lowering his accuracy.
"Diggersby, Super Fang!" said Rolf. Linoone charges at Diggersby and tries to bite him, but he misses.
"Fury Swipes!" said Jonny. Linoone jumps at Diggersby and repeatedly scratches him with his claws, dealing damage.
"Diggersby, Hammer Arm!" said Rolf. Diggersby runs at Linoone and smashes his forearm onto Linoone, dealing super effective damage, but lowering his own speed. Linoone struggles to stay on his feet.
"You can do it, Linoone; use Fling!" said Jonny. Linoone takes out a teal, metal ball out of his fur and he throws it at Diggersby, hitting him in the face, and knocking him out.
"Diggersby is unable to battle. Linoone wins the match." said the official.
"Jonny's Linoone has defeated Rolf's Diggersby." said the announcer.
"What did your Linoone throw at Rolf's Diggersby?" asked Rolf.
"An Iron Ball; during our training for this tournament, Linoone found it with his Pickup ability." said Jonny. "Sure, it lowers the speed of the Pokemon holding it, but it is something hard for Linoone to throw with his Fling attack." Rolf nods and returns Diggersby to his pokeball.
"Rolf is proud of you for fighting bravely, Diggersby." said Rolf. He puts Diggersby's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Gogoat, Rolf chooses you!" Rolf throws Gogoat's pokeball and releases him.
"Rolf's second Pokemon is a Gogoat." said the announcer.
"Linoone, use Slash!" said Jonny. Linoone charges at Gogoat and slashes him with his claws.
"Gogoat, Horn Leech!" said Rolf. Gogoat's horns glowed green and he rams Linoone, dealing damage while draining his remaining energy while healing Gogoat's wound; Linoone falls to the ground with swirly eyes.
"Linoone is unable to battle. Gogoat wins the match." said the official.
"Rolf's Gogoat has defeated Jonny's Linoone." said the announcer. "Now both trainers are down to five Pokemon each! What will Jonny do now?" Jonny returns his Linoone to his pokeball.
"You were great, buddy." said Jonny. He puts Linoone's pokeball back on his waist and pulls off another one; he throws it, releasing his Ninjask.
"And Jonny's next Pokemon is his Ninjask!" said the announcer. "Can it handle Rolf's mighty Gogoat?!"
"Ninjask, use X-Scissor!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Gogoat and does a dual strike in an x-shaped pattern across Gogoat's body.
"Gogoat, use Aerial Ace!" said Rolf. Gogoat leaps at Ninjask while white streaks of energy surround him; he slams into Ninjask, dealing super effective damage. A surge of power rises from Ninjask that increases his speed.
"Ninjask, use Leech Life!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Gogoat and bites down hard on him, draining his stamina as he does that's used to heal himself.
"Gogoat, use Double-Edge!" said Rolf. Gogoat rams Ninjask with all his might, doing damage to his opponent and himself from the recoil damage.
"Ninjask, use Leech Life one more time!" said Jonny. Ninjask bites down on Gogoat and drains the last of his stamina, healing himself, and knocking his opponent out.
"Gogoat is unable to battle. Ninjask is the winner." said the official.
"And Ninjask beats Gogoat!" said the announcer. "Now Rolf only has four Pokemon remaining! What will he do now?!" Rolf returns his Gogoat to his pokeball.
"You battled good, my friend." said Rolf. He puts Gogoat's pokeball away and pulls out another one; he tosses it, releasing his Pidgeot.
"Rolf brings out his Pidgeot next!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Jonny's Ninjask?!"
"Ninjask, use Slash!" said Jonny. Ninjask flies at Pidgeot and slashes her with one of his pincers.
"Pidgeot, use Air Slash!" said Rolf. Pidgeot flaps her wings and releases a blade of wind that hits Ninjask, doing super effective damage. "Now use Quick Attack!" Pidgeot flies at Ninjask at incredible speed and rams into him, knocking him to the ground, unconscious.
"Ninjask is unable to battle. Pidgeot is the winner." said the official.
"Now both trainers each have four Pokemon remaining!" said the announcer. "What's going to happen next?!" Jonny returns his Ninjask to his pokeball.
"You rest now, Ninjask." said Jonnny. He puts Ninjask's pokeball awy and pulls out another one. "Clawitzer, go!" He throws Clawitzer's pokeball and releases him.
"Jonny's next Pokemon is his Clawitzer." said the announcer.
"Pidgeot, use Wing Attack!" said Rolf. Pidgeot flies at Clawitzer and strikes him with one of her wings, knocking Clawitzer back.
"Clawitzer, Smack Down!" said Jonny. Clawitzer opens his larger pincer and forms a golden ball of energy in it; he launches it at Pidgeot and hits her, dealing super effective damage. "Now use Aqua Jet!" Clawitzer becomes surrounded by water and he flies at Pidgeot, ramming into her.
"Pidgeot, Hurricane!" said Rolf. Pidgeot flaps her wings and releases a powerful gust of wind at Clawitzer, hitting him, and knocking him to the ground, but he gets back up.
"Clawitzer, Water Pulse!" said Jonny. Clawitzer forms a blue ball of water in his large pincer and launches it at Pidgeot, hitting her; she begins to fly around, dizzily.
"I think Pidgeot's confused." said Nazz.
"Pidgeot, use Air Slash!" said Rolf. Pidgeot flaps her wings, but hits herself, dealing damage.
"Clawitzer, Muddy Water!" said Jonny. Brown water forms around Clawitzer and it washes over Pidgeot, dealing damage.
"Pidgeot, Wing Attack!" said Rolf. Pidgeot fights through her confusion and stirkes Clawitzer with her wing, knocking Clawitzer back; he struggles to get up.
"Clawitzer, Dark Pulse!" said Jonny. Clawitzer fires black and purple rings of energy from his large pincer and they hit Pidgeot, dealing damage, and making her flinch. "Crabhammer!" Clawitzer leaps at Pidgeot and smashes his large pincer onto her, knocking her to the ground, unconscious.
"Pidgeot is unable to battle. Clawitzer wins the match." said the official.
"Jonny's Clawitzer has beaten Rolf's Pidgeot. What will Rolf do now?" asked the announcer.
"Rolf will keep battling!" said Rolf; he returns Pidgeot to her pokeball. "You fought well, Pidgeot." He puts Pidgeot's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Beedrill, Rolf chooses you!" He throws Beedrill's pokeball and releases her.
"Rolf's next Pokemon is a Beedrill." said the announcer.
"Beedrill, use Poison Jab!" said Rolf. Beedrill flies at Clawitzer while her stingers glowed purple and she jabs Clawitzer with them; it turned purple under Clawitzer's eyes.
"Clawitzer's poisoned!" said Kevin.
"Clawitzer, Smack Down!" said Jonny. Clawitzer fires another golden ball of energy at Beedrill, hitting her, and dealing super effective damage. Clawitzer coughs and loses stamina from his poisoning.
"Beedrill, Fell Stinger!" said Rolf. Beedrill flies at Clawitzer while thin, light blue needles form at the end of Beedrill's stingers and she jabs Clawitzer with them, knocking him out.
"Clawitzer is unable to battle. Beedrill wins the match." said the official.
"Rolf's Beedrill has taken down Jonny's Clawitzer. Now both trainers are down to three Pokemon." said the official. Beedrill begins surging with energy and her attack strength increases due to Fell Stinger's secondary effect. Jonny returns Clawitzer to his pokeball.
"Don't worry, buddy; I'm proud of you." said Jonny. He puts Clawitzer's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Krookodile, go!" He throws Krookodile's pokeball and releases her.
"Jonny's next Pokemon is a Krookodile." said the official.
"Krookodile, Mud-Slap!" said Jonny. Krookodile releases a stream of mud from her mouth and it hits Beedrill, damaging her, and lowering her accuracy.
"Beedrill, use Twineedle!" said Rolf. Beedrill flies at Krookodile and jabs her with her stingers, dealing super effective damage.
"Krookodile, Use Crunch!" said Jonny. Krookodile lunges at Beedrill and bites her, dealing damage, and lowering her special defense.
"Beedrill, Pin Missile!" said Rolf. Beedrill fires two large, white needles from her stingers at Krookodile, but misses.
"Krookdile, Dig!" said Jonny. Krookodile digs herself into the field.
"Beedrill, Focus Energy!" said Rolf. Beedrill becomes surrounded by a light red aura. Krookodile bursts out of the ground and rams into Beedrill, knocking her to the ground. As she struggles to get up, she becomes surrounded by a light green aura. "Rolf's Beedrill's Swarm ability has activated. Beedrill, use Fell Stinger!" Beedrill flies at Krookodile and jabs her with her stingers, dealing massive damage, and knocking her out.
"Krookodile is unable to battle. Beedrill wins the match." said the official. Beedrill gains more attack strength from Fell Stinger.
"Rolf's Beedrill has beaten another of Jonny's Pokemon. Will Jonny be able to turn this around?" asked the announcer. Jonny returns Krookodile to her pokeball.
"You did your best, Krookodile." said Jonny. He puts Krookodile's pokeball away and pulls out another. "Charizard, go!" He throws Charizard's pokeball and releases him.
"Jonny's next Pokemon is his Charizard." said the announcer.
"Charizard, Heatwave!" said Jonny. Charizard releases a wind of flames from his mouth and it hits Beedrill, dealing super effective damage, and knocking her out.
"Beedrill is unable to battle. Charizard wins the match." said the official.
"Jonny's Charizard has beaten Rolf's Beedrill; now both trainers are down to two Pokemon." said the official. Rolf returns Beedrill to her pokeball.
"Rolf is pleased with how you battled, Beedrill." said Rolf. He puts Beedrill's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Blastoise, Rolf chooses you!" He throws Blastoise's pokeball and releases him.
"Rolf's next Pokemon is his Blastoise. Will we see another battle between two Mega Pokemon?" asked the announcer. Jonny and Rolf smirk at each other and hold up their Mega Rings; they each touch the stones on them, making their Pokemon Mega Evolve to their Mega Forms.
"Mega Charizard, use Slash!" said Jonny. Mega Charizard flies at Mega Blastoise and slashes him with his claws.
"Mega Blastoise, use Rain Dance!" said Rolf. Mega Blastoise starts doing dance moves, making clouds appear overhead that causes rain to come down.
"Mega Charizard, use Fly!" said Jonny. Mega Charizard flies into the air above the clouds.
"Mega Blastoise, use Iron Defense!" said Rolf. Mega Blastoise puts his head and limbs into his shell to increase his defense. Mega Charizard comes flying down and slams into Mega Blastoise, not doing much due to his increased defense.
"Mega Charizard, use Dragon Rage!" said Jonny. Mega Charizard releases a ball of purple energy from his mouth that hits Mega Blastoise.
"Mega Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" said Rolf. Mega Blastoise releases a blast of water that hits Mega Charizard, and thanks to the power up from Rain Dance, it was strong enough to knock Mega Charizard back to his normal form, unconscious.
"Charizard is unable to battle. Mega Blastoise is the winner." said the official.
"Incredible!" said the announcer. "Mega Blastoise has defeated Mega Charizard! Now Jonny is down to his last Pokemon. What's he going to do now?!"
"This is getting intense!" said Nazz.
"Just like Double-D and Eddy's finals match." said Kevin.
Back on the field, Jonny returns his Charizard to his pokeball.
"You were amazing, buddy!" said Jonny. He puts Charizard's pokeball back on his waist and pulls off his last one; he tosses it, releasing his Chesnaught.
"And Jonny's last Pokemon is his Chesnaught!" said the announcer. "Can it stand up to Mega Blastoise and help Jonny make a comeback?!"
"Chesnaught, use Seed Bomb!" said Jonny. Chesnaught launches large seeds at Mega Blastoise that explode on contact, dealing super effective damage.
"Mega Blastoise, use Tackle!" said Rolf. Mega Blastoise charges headfirst towards Chesnaught.
"Chesnaught, use Leech Seed!" said Jonny. Chesnaught launches seeds into the ground in front of the incoming Pokemon; vines come out and tangle around Mega Blastoise as he rams into his opponent. Energy is drained from his body and goes into Chesnaught, healing him.
"Mega Blastoise, use Rapid Spin!" said Rolf. Mega Blastoise starts spinning around, repelling the vines as he slams into Chesnaught.
"Chesnaught, use Needle Arm!" said Jonny. Chesnaught's left hand becomes surrounded by a green, thorny ball of energy; he swings it at Mega Blastoise, hitting him so hard he's sent flying past Rolf and into the arena wall where he returns to his normal state, unconscious.
"Mega Blastoise is unable to battle. Chesnaught is the winner." said the official.
"Chesnaught has defeated Mega Blastoise!" said the announcer. "Now both trainers are down to their last Pokemon. This last battle will decide the champion of the Lumiose Conference!"
"This is it!" said Nazz as she sits on the edge of her seat.
"Whoever wins this next one wins it all!" said Kevin. Rolf returns his Blastoise to his pokeball.
"You battled well, my friend." said Rolf. He puts Blastoise's pokeball back on his waist and pulls off his last one; he tosses it, releasing his Delphox.
"The final battle will be Chesnaught vs Delphox!" said the announcer. "Who will be the winner?!"
"Oh man, it all comes down to this." said Kevin; Nazz nods in agreement.
"Delphox, use Flamethrower!" said Rolf. Delphox releases a stream of fire from her wand and it hits Chesnaught, dealing super effective damage.
"Chesnaught, Mud Shot!" said Jonny. Chesnaught fires a large ball of mud out of his mouth and it hits Delphox, dealing super effective damage, as well as lowering her speed. "Now use Body Slam!" Chesnaught jumps up into the air and crashes down onto Delphox, damaging her.
"Use Psyshock!" said Rolf. Delphox forms a blue, light blue, and purple mass of energy in front of her wand and launches it at Chesnaught, hitting him, and dealing super effective damage.
"Use Bite!" said Jonny. Chesnaught runs at Delphox and bites her shoulder, dealing super effective damage, and making Delphox flinch. "Now use Cut!" Chesnaught scratches Delphox across the chest with his claws, damaging her.
"Use Mystical Fire!" said Rolf. Delphox releases a stream of fire surrounded by rings of fire from her wand and it hits Chesnaught, dealing super effective damage.
"Chesnaught, Mud Shot!" said Jonny. Chesnaught launches another ball of mud out of his mouth, and it hits Delphox, dealing super effective damage.
"Flame Charge!" said Rolf. Delphox becomes surrounded by fire and she charges at Chesnaught.
"Spiky Shield!" said Jonny. Chesnaught punches his fists together and forms a round energy barrier with spikes in front of him; Delphox crashes against the barrier and receives damage, knocking her back. "Now use Take Down!" Chesnaught charges at Delphox and rams her, knocking her back; Chesnaught receives recoil damage from Take Down. Both Pokemon are breathing heavily; a green aura appears around Chesnaught while an orange aura forms around Delphox. "Chesnaught's Overgrow ability!"
"And Delphox's Blaze ability." said Rolf. "Delphox, use Fire Blast!"
"Chesnaught, Wood Hammer!" Delphox releases a fiery kanji from her wand at Chesnaught; he charges at Delphox while his arm was surrounded by a green aura. Chesnaught smashes his arm through Delphox's attack, receiving damage in the process and onto Delphox, damaging her; Chesnaught receives recoil damge from Wood Hammer. Both Pokemon are struggling to stay on their feet.
"They don't know when to give up." said Kevin.
"That's what makes them so cool." said Nazz.
"Okay, Chesnaught; Giga Impact!" said Jonny. Chesnaught slams his fists together and a purple orb surrounded by orange-yellow streaks of energy surrounds his body; he charges at Delphox and slams one of his fists into her, sending her flying into the river of the battlefield. Jonny and Rolf look with anticipation until finally, Delphox surfaces from the river with swirly eyes.
"Delphox is unable to battle. Chesnaught wins. The winner and the champion of this year's Lumiose Conference is Jonny!" said the official.
"IT'S OVER! AFTER A LONG AND INTENSE BATTLE, JONNY'S CHESNAUGHT HAS DEFEATED ROLF'S DELPHOX AND TO WIN JONNY THE CHAMPIONSHIP!" said the announcer. Jonny looks with a stunned look on his face until it was replaced with a big smile.
"I DID IT!" cheered Jonny, excitedly. He runs to an exhausted Chesnaught and hugs him. "You were incredible out there, Chesnaught!" Chesnaught smiles in response. Delphox climbs out of the river where Rolf was waiting for her.
"You have fought well, Delphox; Rolf is pleased with how you battled." said Rolf. Delphox smiled in response. Rolf and Delphox walked over to Jonny and Chesnaught. "You have truly proven yourself a strong trainer, Jonny the Woo...I mean, Champion."
"Thanks, Rolf!" said Jonny, excitedly. He and Rolf shake hands; Rolf then gives him pokedollars. Kevin and Nazz were cheering for them while hugging each other; they realized what they were doing and broke their hug while looking away, blushing.
"The award ceremony will be in one hour." said the announcer.
Later at the hotel, everyone, including Rolf, were congratulating Jonny on his championship win while having lunch.
"That was so cool!" said Nazz.
"You were a powerful opponent, Jonny the Wood Boy." said Rolf.
"It was close." said Jonny.
"I'll bet the Eds felt this way after their finals match." said Kevin.
"You're probably right, Kevin." said Nazz.
Later at Lumiose Stadium, Jonny, Rolf, and Kevin were on podiums; with Kevin being on the lowest, Rolf on the second highest, and Jonny above them all. Kevin was holding a decent-sized bronze trophy in his hands, Rolf was holding a bigger silver trophy in his hands, and Jonny was holding a very large gold trophy with a winged pokeball on it.
"And here are your top three trainers of the Lumiose Conference!" said the announcer.
"Awesome." said Jonny as he looks with awe at his trophy.
"It's been quite the journey, Jonny the Wood Boy." said Rolf.
The Lumiose Conference has come to an end, but the group's time in Kalos is not over; Nazz still has one thing left to do before their journey comes to an end.
