'Getting the Zelda equivalent of a Scavenger hunt isn't ideal but it's a long-term goal so no immediate pressure it's not like it's going to come up any time soon.'
Resting his eyes he falls into the embrace of the night to the sound of the crackling fire, when he next opens his eyes to the realization that the whole scenario wasn't a vivid dream he curses mentally before getting up to see the glare of the sun in the sky becoming visible though the foliage to the east.
Getting up turns out to be easier than propping himself up from last night, He stands without real issue and turns towards the tent where the sound of snoring is present.
'it seems my host is sleeping still, maybe I should use this time to actually have a look at the system shop, I know I have Siluria's tree but since I have that holy arms skill maybe I should at least have a look to see if anything it has anything useful'
Using the system's menu, he goes though the board to the shop, specifically the incantations, his first observation is that the cheapest incantations have a cost of 8 miracle resource while he only has 4 miracle resource, he knows he could use the any resource he has to get one of them, but he feels it might be the waste of a wild card.
While in the incantation section he also looks though what incantations he could buy in the future where he finds some unique incantations, 'wait, some incantations say they can be bought with magic, oh yeah some of the incantations use intelligence as a requirement.' Looking though the list for all the incantations which use intelligence he finds their all part of the Golden order group of incantations, and he finds a fair few but as if the system is mocking him the cheapest is worth 11 magic while only having 10. . .
'If I were to use my [Any] resources though, I could get one of 6 option each having their own benefits, If I used all my any points for miracle resource The options would be: urgent heal, Catch flame or beast claw. Using either 1 or 3 any points for magic I could get: Order healing, Discus of light or Order's blade.'
Looking around at the beach mainly to centre his thoughts surround him he notices a very unnatural sight, 'yup that's a chasm hole in the distance, by how big and decayed the area looks, I'm surprised I survived being in the blast of that, at least I haven't become an amputee like Link, I swear he has a martyr fetish or something.'
Sighing and returning to focusing on the options, 'to make it simpler I'll just list them with their pros and cons of each:
firstly, Urgent heal, pro: its healing in a world where only food can really heal you and usable while moving, con: its weak and can only work on myself.
Catch Flame, Pro: babies first pyromancy, fast and is cheap elemental damage, con: weak and poor range since your just throwing raw fire.
Beast claw, Pro: Raw and fast striking arc of 5 attacks, ok range, Con: requires charging up for any real payoff while hard to be used precisely.
Order Healing, Pro: I have a hunch about this and if its right this incantation is going to be necessary, Con: if I'm wrong this is then worthless.
Discus of light, Pro: Precise and cheap holy damage that can be throw around quickly, Con: essentially is just a discus of light which means sadly Light arsenal makes this obsolete.
Lastly Order's blade, Pro: holy buff on any weapon I find aka extra damage if prepared, Con: not suitable to be applied mid combat.'
Walking to the edge of the Malice surrounding the chasm he squats next to the substance 'Well I can easily say that discus of light is out of the running, light arsenal is its upgraded version so no, the rest though I could see a use for, but it depends on if my theory is possible, System is it possible to count Malice as a form of Deathblight.'
[Answer: one second while the system analyses the substance known as [Malice] . . . Processing . . . Processing . . . Complete.]
[Notice: The Substance known as [Malice] which has the property of decay of those who touch the substance is similar in concept to Deathblight afflicted phenomena.]
Having a smile like the cheshire cat he thinks 'System is it possible for Order healing to alleviate malice affliction.'
[Answer: Yes.]
'Ok the other incantations aren't as important anymore, Order healing is now top priority for going into the depths, if it's depicted as it is in the game its essentially just a giant Malice Swamp which constitutes the size of hyrule.'
Hearing the sound of footsteps behind him it cuts off his train of thought as he turns slightly to see the Hylian approach.
"it's quite the large hole, and that Purple goo around it bring back bad memories."
Losing the gin on his face he replies, "How so if it's not too much to ask."
Looking perplexed at him the Hylian just speaks "don't you remember the Red goo that was everywhere while the whole divine beast debacle, I swear you couldn't take 100 steps without stepping in some of it."
"Well sorry, where I'm from we didn't really get effected by the goo."
A silence is made between the pair, which is broken by the Hylian who turns around to walk back to the camp "well anyway, your patched up and well fed so at least I've done my civic duty of not leaving you to die, anyway pal I never got your name, it might be helpful if you told me, mine's Sesami by the way." He starts walking before he can respond.
'Oh yeah we never gave each other our names, it feels strange to have been tended to by a stranger outside of a hospital, it's not like my name is special it's just ... , what is my name,' I start to have a mental panic attack, 'SYSTEM WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER MY NAME!'
[Answer: when the Host was revived and transported to the new world the process 99.8% efficient, it seems this 0.2% margin resulted in your name being erased from your own personal memories.]
'Fuck me like a Duck and hit me with a truck,' Taking a Deep breath in before exhaling he centres his mind, 'ok then, it's not like it's the end of the world, its just a name, I'm in a new world its not like its irreplaceable, I also remember being bullied because of it, it's a bit annoying knowing the cause but not knowing fully why. System since I know I'll be indecisive about a new name can you make a wheel of possible names and spin it for me.'
[Answer: Certainly host, generating wheel . . . Spinning Wheel . . . Completion.]
[Notice: the result of the impromptu name wheel is: Misko!]
'That isn't half bad, a bit more exotic than what I was thinking but maybe because its more exotic than usual for my past world it won't stand out as much in this one, just take Sesami for example.'
Standing up Misko turns around and approaches Sesami's camp to Sesami specifically who's just standing by the cooking pot.
Addressing Sesami, "sorry for not telling you before but you can call me Misko, it was kind of hard to focus when you have a bump the size of your ear." Reaching to where the said bump is Misko is shocked to feel it has already reduced in swelling by quite bit. 'That cooking pot must be magic because that healing food it created makes no sense otherwise, he does seem to treat it like it's a family heirloom.'
"So your name is Misko, its sounds old Akkalan, never mind Since your now fully awake we should prep to get you back to the mainland," placing his hand on his chin and turning to a large boat which was slightly away from camp in the same orientation of from the campfire and Misko's resting place which kept it behind him and out of view to explain it not being noticed before.
"Maybe I could drop you off in lurelin village since it's the closest port to here but that would mean I would have to waste time out of my tight schedule."
Tilting their head Misko replies "I was wondering about that; I know why I'm here on the island but from our conversations I can't tell why you're here since it seems untouched by civilisation."
"That is where your both right and wrong my compatriot, the island isn't really touched by civil hands, but it has been molested by uncivil hands, there are multiple camps of monsters on the island, and I was sent here to scout them and try and hopefully locate a specific band of monsters who are in possession of a pirate ship."
Getting the reason for Sesami being here on Eventide Island Misako's reaction can be simply described as look at a madman, "then why are you here alone, that sounds like a threat for a squad of trained men, not just one guy with a boat."
Giving a faltering smile "well for your information, this one guy and his boat are only here to scout out the situation, not fight everything like I'm swinging the legendary master sword like a child with a stick, I'm pretty stealthy and I work well alone so I was sent here, I wanted to bring others but at the time it didn't seem required for a scouting mission, I'm not stupid."
Sighing at that Misko looks towards the boat and walks over to it, halfway to it he sees something that makes him feel like fate is still messing with him still.
"Erm Sesami, your schedule has just opened up it seems."
Hearing the words of Misko, Sesami who was halfway to his tent turned to look at Misko and in the motion noticed the problem. as it turns out during the chasm upheaval Misko as well as the tree weren't the only things launched, as it turns out a rock was launched at the boat causing a large crack to form in its rim and hull.
"Well, it seems your right, we will have to either fix that or get another boat, not to brag but I'm pretty handy but I don't have any spare timber for the repairs." He says while walking towards the boat where Misko was approaching himself.
"Since were stuck on the island it seems were going to have to scavenge for food on the island, I don't mind looking for food until you finish doing your scouting work."
Looking seemingly perplex Sesami turns his head away from Misko, "I don't mind the distribution of labour but to be honest I've done most of that work already I'm really just looking for the last monster camp on the island which has the pirate port, but the other three large camps on the island are hindering me from looking at the area where the pirate boat keeps disappearing," saying this Sesami points to what seems to be a wooden structure in the forest and two different hills with one being fortified and the other housing a skull like bulge of rock.
"I was planning to leave for reinforcements last night, but your appearance delayed that." He says with a huff at the end.
'Well, that hampers things, but maybe I can use the monsters on the island to get used to fighting, since I can't remember there being any bosses on the island in the tears era.'
With a confident grin on his face Misko speaks to him "How about this, to be honest I would say I'm a pretty good fighter, if you do the Foraging and cooking, I'll start thinning the monsters looking for either a boat, usable timber or maybe that pirate ship, if I'm successful the island either becomes safe to live in or we could get off the island."
Sesami seems to think it over in a second "sure if you feel up for it, but if you get too over your head at least try to run away, it will piss me off to no end to find you died just after I patched you up."
