Rena and Ara were leaning their bodies to the fence on the balcony. They didn't get the best view of the town, but they enjoyed the wind, slowly ruffling their hair. "It's funny, though. They might ask what you were doing while you're actually here," Rena said with a giggle, imagining everyone's dumbfounded face.

An angel was standing on top of the corner of the fence. Somehow he got the balance to stand up straight. "Why here, though? You usually stay with Elsword," Ara asked, feeling curious about Ain's decision. Everyone knew he was obsessed over Elsword for a reason.

Ain faced down to see Ara. "I want to stay with you. Is that weird?"

Ara's face turned red instantly while Rena gasped in surprise. Never in their life had they thought that Ain would do something without Elsword in it. And that "you" was clearly stated for Ara. "Uhm… It is," Ara answered nervously. Her mind went blank, her face felt hot, and her heart beat really fast. "Why me?"

Rena giggled and went back to the room. "I'll leave you guys. Have fun~!"

"Your presence makes me warm. It's different from Elsword," Ain said with a straight face. It seemed that he still had trouble expressing himself.

Ara stared at the town view. Did Ain actually say that himself? Did he… need Eun? The thought about him needing Eun made her sad, really sad. "Do you want to talk with Eun?" she asked with a disappointed tone. Ain hadn't said it yet, but why was she disappointed already?

Ain sighed at the question. "No. I need you here, Ara."

Ara's face felt hotter when Ain said her name, even though he had been calling people by their names lately. Why did she get flustered by a name anyway? She felt so embarrassed. Even the wind didn't feel cold anymore.

"It's late. I will not bother you two, so get some rest. Good night," Ain said before he dashed in the air and left her.

Ara laughed nervously, entering her room and closing the door to the balcony. Rena was facing her with a smile, waiting for her to say something. "He was… surprisingly sweet."

Elesis sighed and wore her red short pajamas. She would wear her favorite nightwear, but for the sake of her sanity, she wouldn't show too much skin to her roommate. She didn't want to give the wrong idea.

Click!

"Do you mind?"

She was startled when her roommate entered the room and locked the door from the inside. She was sitting on her bed and watching a random horror TV show. "N-No, it's not like I'm getting naked to sleep," she answered and got up from the bed to approach her roommate, who was still facing the door. "Come on, Chung! It's just one night, let's just rest."

Chung chuckled and turned around. Elesis' eyes widened in surprise when she looked at his face. She reached her right hand to him, wiping his tears from his left eye. He got a bit startled, touching his right cheek to feel the tears from his eyes. How come he didn't feel his own tears? "Why were you crying? What happened?" she asked, feeling concerned and worried, especially when he didn't realize it himself.

Chung chuckled again and grabbed Elesis' hand away from his face. "It's nothing, I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you," he smiled slightly as he walked past her. He grabbed his clothes from his bag and went to the bathroom to get changed.

Elesis sighed, walking back to the bed and watching the TV. If Chung didn't want to tell, then she wouldn't push him. She got curious though; she didn't know where he went and he came back crying. Maybe she should ask Nisha about it because she whispered something to him before they went to the indoor park.

Chung got out of the bathroom, wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. Elesis never paid attention to him before. Somehow his muscles weren't visible on his body. And after seeing his thighs to legs… he has smooth skin.

He faced her, making her realize that she had been staring at him for a while. She waved her hands in panic and laughed nervously. "D-Don't mind me!" she shouted and looked back at the TV. Her cheeks felt hot, she would run away and sleep outside. She felt so dumb for it.

"I'll sleep on the floor. You can have the bed," Chung said as he took a pillow.

But Elesis yelped and held Chung's hand before he actually slept on the floor. "Both of us need a good rest! What if we found demons later? Let's sleep together on the bed."

Chung's face turned bright red instantly. Elesis blinked her eyes several times, finally realizing that she phrased it wrong. Her cheeks turned redder as she moved her hand away. "Y-You get what I meant!"

"If you said so," Chung muttered and turned off the lights. He sat on the edge of the bed, hugging his pillow and looking away from her.

Elesis sighed and turned off the TV. The silence and darkness in the room made her realize how fast her heartbeat was. She could even hear it in her ears. She slowly moved to the pillows, grabbing the blanket and covering her half lower body with it.

Crack! Boom!

The thunder came along with its loud sound, surprising Elesis and making her hug Chung tightly. Somehow he wasn't that surprised with the thunder, but his heart was beating fast too. "Do you… fear thunder?" he asked and patted her back.

Elesis startled and looked away from him. "A-A bit, yeah… Sorry about that," she apologized and faced the window. She was sleepy, but she was completely awake now.

Chung chuckled and told Elesis to see another thunder from the window. The light came first, but the sound followed after a few seconds. She was scared before, but now that she held him really close, she felt safer. In fact, the thunder that she feared didn't seem that scary now. "It's fine. Nothing scary," he said with a smile, although she couldn't see it.

"Yeah, it's fine—ah!" She was startled as she realized she was still hugging him. After giving an apology, she looked away from him. She lied down on the bed and faced the window as she pulled her blanket. She tried her best to think of this as a normal sleep time and forget what just happened, but she couldn't. This was her first time in bed with a male that wasn't her brother. Even though both of them had no intention to do some "stuff", her mind kept thinking about it. Her face got hotter as she thought more.

If she ever happened to be in the same room with one of the boys that wasn't Elsword, she wouldn't know what to do. After seeing Chung's body that was slightly feminine, she actually felt safer. It seemed offensive thinking about it, but she trusted him that he wouldn't do anything to her.

His voice was soft and menacing, but cute at the same time. It was the complete opposite of her brother's loud and annoying voice. If he ever did bad things to her, maybe it would be… kinda hot? Despite his slightly feminine body, he was strong enough to, maybe… pinned her down? She knew her own power, but would she outpower him?

"Why are you breathing hard? Do you want me to assault you?"

"D-Don't joke like that!" Elesis yelled and touched her own hot cheeks. Chung laughed about it and didn't say another word. Did he make that joke because he was nervous too? Did she actually breathe that hard or his hearing was just better than normal people? But because of that question, she realized her breath was hotter than usual.

"I'll go out for a bit. Good night."

Elesis didn't say anything, only hearing the sound of him getting up. His footsteps were getting further away. The door was opened with a click, then closed with another click. Only the sound of the air conditioner and thunder once in a while. She hid half of her face with the blanket, trying her best to go to sleep. "Elesis, stop! Stop fantasizing about that! Repent!" she shouted to herself and slapped her own cheeks.

The indoor park wasn't nice at night, especially when it started raining. The swimming pool was empty, a few people were sitting and talking in the place that didn't get rained on. The tables could be used to play cards, but it wasn't happening with the weather. The wind was getting strong with the rain, it was chilly and a bit freezing.

After what happened at the lounge bar, Lu couldn't sleep. She saw her servant getting drunk, which was funny for the first one minute. Aisha and Noah were drinking too much; Aisha was talking with Elsword and Noah made too much nonsense. It was fun and lively, she loved it.

She was hoping the wind in the park would make her feel sleepy, but she found a familiar person sitting alone and reading a book. She approached him and waved her hands. "Chung! Why are you here?"

"I don't know. Waiting for Elesis to sleep, I guess," Chung shrugged and let Lu sit next to him as he closed the book and placed it on the table. He knew sleeping on the same bed wouldn't work. If he left Elesis alone, maybe she could sleep. Or maybe he could stay awake until the next morning.

Lu giggled and patted Chung's back. "Just do something with her already. Tell me the details in the morning."

Chung's face flushed red and shook his head. "I can't—"

"I'm kidding! I'm glad you said no to my joke, though!" Lu smiled, feeling relieved with Chung's response. It was weird for her to say it since she did some stuff with him a few days ago. "Anyway, since you're here… Why did you reject her?"

Chung turned to silence and looked away from her. She pouted and tried to look at his face. His reactions might tell something. "Nisha told me about it. Did you know Aisha got drunk because of you? What do you mean she deserves better?"

"Then what do you want me to say?" Chung asked and faced Lu, who seemed to be annoyed with a love problem that wasn't hers.

Lu sighed and put her elbow on the table, resting her chin on both her hands. "Geez, I didn't know you could be this cold. So Nisha wasn't lying about you moving on."

Chung stayed silent. He wasn't lying about his rejection. Wasn't it normal to wish for a better partner for someone they loved?

Lu blinked her eyes several times. She was trying to understand Chung's side, but he refused to explain his reason. She smiled at him and changed the subject. "By the way, thank you for the hairpins!"

Chung tilted his head a bit. "Have you tried braiding your hair?"

"Huh?"

Lu grabbed her ponytail as she imagined herself with braided hair. The least she did was twintail or ponytail. Rena seemed fine with braided hair, but her? Would it look weird on her? Wait, why did he ask that question all of a sudden? "You're so weird, Chung," she responded and narrowed her eyes on him. "First you gave us stuff. Now this random question. What are you trying to do?"

He tried to make people happy, but he forgot how because he spent too much time reading books. He couldn't answer that casually, right? What should he say? "I'm trying to make you happy" like that?

Lu laughed at his confused look. He might not realize it, but whenever he got confused, it was all written on his face. He completely lost his cool. "Oh, come on! Will you ever tell me anything?" she laughed and slapped his arm.

"Maybe not. You can keep guessing," Chung smiled and chuckled.

"You need to tell at least one person in the group, Chung! You look like a creep now," Lu insisted and stared at him. She made up that last one, but if he kept giving stuff randomly to people, it would be very awkward. For her, it made him look like he had bad intentions. "You can tell me, I'll rephrase it to the group. You read a lot of books. Why are you so bad at this?"

"I realized I got into my world for too long, so I want to make you guys happy," Chung smiled slightly, still with a confused look. "But I don't know how."

Lu sighed and shook her head. She was expecting Chung to lie, but with this answer, his random behavior made everything clear. It actually made sense why he rejected Aisha as well. 'Who wants to have an isolated uncultured nerd boyfriend?' was probably what he thought the whole time. "Chung, listen. You don't have to give us something. I'm happy just by talking to you. See?"

Of course, she didn't get a reply. She thought about it all over again based on what she understood: Chung read books too much after he broke up with Aisha, thinking he's been neglecting his friends. On a certain day, he bought a panda doll for Raven and a butterfly hairpin for Elesis to make them happy. Maybe he thought he was being unfair, so he bought accessories for Nisha and her mirror. He bought a bunch of hairpins for herself and her servant too. He possibly rejected Aisha because he felt like he would be a useless nerd boyfriend for her. And maybe the whole reason he was able to move on was this: let go of Aisha to be with someone that wasn't a nerd. He already felt like trash anyway, according to Nisha.

"You have a lot of thoughts. You can tell me anything, I'm here for you!" Lu smiled, wishing that her assumption would be true to not make it awkward. Although it was a bit sad if it was true. She reached her right hand to Chung's head and patted him gently. "You're a good kid! You got a head pat from a former demon lord."

"H-Huh? But I-I wasn't—"

"Shh! Thank you for the hairpins, Chung. I'm really happy with it. Let's force Ciel to wear the nekomimi again tomorrow," Lu giggled and looked at his face, only to see him crying. She hugged him tightly, letting him cry since nobody could hear them with the rain that was getting heavier and thunder that kept roaring.

Chung's face turned red from crying and embarrassment. He just got a little bit of affection, so why was he crying instead of smiling? Boys weren't supposed to cry; sadly he just did. Lu liked to make fun of people too. Maybe he should've kept reading the book.

Lu broke the hug and faced Chung. "It's fine, Chung! It's okay to cry," she giggled and patted his head again. This was one of the rarest moments she witnessed and she was somewhat happy about it because nothing much happened when she followed people.

Someone walked toward them, but because of the heavy rain, they didn't hear the person. But Lu, as a demon, noticed the eerie presence. Eerie for her, at least. "What the hell, Ain?! We're having important private talk here!" she yelled as she turned her face to the angel, who was currently in his spiritual form.

"I don't care. I don't trust you being alone with someone that isn't your servant," Ain replied coldly. He's staring at Lu, possibly trying to threaten her with looks.

Lu can't believe what she just heard, but after what she did to her friends, it was natural for someone to distrust her. NOT to this extent, though. She sighed and folded her arms. "Fine. What do you want, then?"

"Your responsibility. Why was he crying?" Ain asked and pointed his finger at Chung.

"Because you came," Chung lied and looked away from the angel.

Ain turned to silence, but he was still judging Lu. "It's no use," he responded as he turned back to his normal form.

Lu's eyes widened in surprise. She remembered something unimportant, but she wanted to know for the sake of her curiosity. "How did you get into the bar?"

"The gun talked. He looked dumbfounded when I only asked for juice."

"Bar?" Ain repeated the word, thinking of something and going into his own thoughts. Did Elsword get drunk? Wouldn't that be bad? He had to go—he had to check on Elsword's condition.

Lu giggled and faced Chung. "So? Are you planning to sleep?"

Chung's face turned a bit red from thinking about Elesis. What would happen in the morning if he actually slept next to her? Will they even sleep normally without anything weird happening? "...Maybe not."

The demon moved closer to him. She didn't expect him to let their arms touch each other after what she did to him in the backyard of their previous house. She moved even closer; she sat on his lap. And guess what, he let her sit there. "Be evil for a bit, Chung. You're too forgiving," she sighed and took out a small device from her pocket; a smartphone.

"Aren't you the same? You're supposed to dominate all the demons by now," Chung replied as he stared at the screen of the smartphone. He had never used it, so he had no idea what Lu was doing.

Lu opened a video application. A bunch of weird video thumbnails were showing. "Let's watch some memes until the sun rises!" she shouted in excitement, taking out another device from her pocket; an earphone. She plugged in the earphone cable to her phone, picking up the right earphone for her right ear and left earphone for Chung's left ear. As she did this, she noticed a green fog around the place. "Hm? What's this?"

"Must be a potion," Chung answered calmly and stared at a screaming cat thumbnail video.

"Huh? So it worked like that," Lu commented and looked at Chung. She glanced at her screen and tapped the cat thumbnail. She was startled and shouted in surprise. "Wait, Rena is using it here?! And how did you know how it worked?!"

"All the boys know. Don't worry about it too much," Chung smiled slightly.
