The gang moved away from the dinner place to the garden. It was quiet and they got a spot to sit in a circle. Rena explained her situation to the gang. "3 days ago, I woke up with braided hair and I was in an unfamiliar house, which was your house. I have strong connections with the spirits and it told me about your world, but I believe it was an alternate timeline situation at that time?"
Add nodded his head to confirm the information. Rena nodded her head back and looked at the group again. "At midnight, I asked the spirits about your world again. They said Rena in this world has an excessive love for crossdressers, is that correct?"
Once again, Add nodded his head. "That's correct. So you assumed Rena in this world was some kind of shameless pervert?"
Rena laughed awkwardly, but she nodded her head. "Y-Yes… I don't know how to go back to my world and I don't want to scare you guys, but I notice there's a lot of potions in… my possession. I believe both of us will go back to our timeline eventually."
"Hm… No wonder you don't know the potions you use lately. Because you don't," Aisha said with a straight face. She wasn't sure what to feel about this.
Add sighed and got up. A bright pink light flashed from him, changing his hot spring robe to his usual clothes with a cat hoodie. "I'll start searching. Don't mess with the timeline now," he said as he cracked the environment around them like a glass. A magenta space can be seen in front of him. He walked inside and just disappeared like he was never there.
"E-Eeeh… Our Add can't do that," Rena smiled with a confused look. She thought it was amazing and scary at the same time. They asked about the Add in her world, so she started another story. "He's called Doom Bringer. I believe you guys have met him already?"
They nodded her head and started to trust her. Rena noticed something that was completely different from her world. Now that they found out the truth, she can't just back off right away. "How did Clamor die?"
Eve shook her head. "Noah never told us, but he did say his weapon was named Clamor. Who exactly was he?"
"A soul trapped in his weapon," Rena smiled sadly and looked at her own weapon. "He died somewhere. Noah must have been very lonely."
After a bit of talk, everyone went back to their room. Lu and Rena were chilling on the balcony, enjoying the cold wind in the night. "I should apologize to Chung tomorrow. Hopefully he won't run away from me," Rena sighed heavily.
Lu giggled and remembered about her harassing Chung indirectly. She smiled and patted Rena's back. "He won't. I'll take you to Cobo Cafe tomorrow to meet him."
"Are you sure?" Rena asked with a forced smile. She was well aware she did something bad. An apology wouldn't be enough in her mind.
Lu nodded her head and leaned her body on the fence. "Tell me something about your own world!"
Rena looked away and scratched her head. "Um… I just hope Rena from here is doing well out there… Our world is filled with crimes."
"Come on, let's use a potion! Everything will be fine," Lu said in a cheerful tone and grabbed a jade colored potion. "Is this one safe? Ask the spirits!"
After confirming with the spirits that the potion might be safe because they didn't know the details, Lu opened it and let it affect everyone in the hot spring.
Chance Potion: Everything is a chance for you to know. Will it be good or bad luck?
Before the sun even rose, Rena was already awake. She couldn't sleep, thinking about what she had done for the past few days. She got up from her bed and left a note for Lu before leaving the place.
She walked in a random direction, trying to find the people that left the hot spring last night. Every time she picked a route, there was a two sided coin being flipped in front of her. One side was green and the other side was red. People around her didn't seem to be able to see it, so she ignored it and pretended it was never there. She wasn't expecting it to be easy; she actually found their tent.
When the sun finally rose, a familiar white haired boy came out of the tent. Rena greeted him with a smile, trying her best to not scare him.
"Good morning…" Noah greeted her back and rubbed his eyes. He blinked his eyes several times and looked at the elf. "You look different."
"Um… yes, I'm here to talk about it," Rena said as she looked at herself. She was still Rena though, but did she actually look that different? It didn't matter anymore anyway. "I need to tell you all. Can we wait until the others wake up?"
Noah took a bag of chips from the tent and sat on the sand. He patted the empty space next to him, telling Rena to sit there. They didn't talk about anything until Chung and Nisha woke up.
Rena got up and faced three of them. She re-introduced herself the same way she did to the gang last night. She bowed down and lowered her head to apologize. "I'm really sorry for my behavior to you guys. Especially you, Chung."
"It's alright. It was just a wrong assumption," Chung said with a monotone voice that didn't support what he was saying.
Rena raised her head and smiled slightly. "You have a lot of reasons to be mad at me. I'll take responsibility."
Chung smiled and pointed his finger at Rena's weapon. "Sing us a song, then."
"Oh, that's an instrument? Play something," Nisha said in amazement, but she demanded Rena to play something. She may be bad at art and music, but she had a high interest in them.
"Em… Sure, I'll do that," Rena nodded with a smile and thought of a song before actually playing it. She reached her hand on her weapon, playing it like a harp.
"I'll let my feelings ride on the clouds flowing to the end of the sky that extends to the future~"
The coin appeared in front of her again, but this time, it showed the red side.
Snap!
And one of her strings snapped. She laughed awkwardly and faced them. "Sorry about that. It rarely happens, though," she said as she casted her magic to remake the string. She continued to sing while the three people listened to her.
Lu woke up being alone in the room. She rubbed her eyes, looking left and right to find Rena, but she didn't see anyone. She finally noticed the paper on the bed table and picked it up.
"I'm going to find the kids and apologize to them
-Rena"
"...Did you just include Chung as a kid…?" Lu muttered and stretched her body before getting up off bed. When she did this, she saw the same coin Rena had been seeing.
Red.
Crack!
"My back!" Lu curled up in bed and stayed in that position until Ciel came from the window to massage her back. "Maybe I'm too old now," she sighed heavily and laid down on the bed instead, showing her back to her partner.
Ciel couldn't imagine how Lu hurt her back. She told him about the red and green coin. Ciel nodded his head, since he saw those a few times already.
"Ain and Ara already went to work. Add isn't back yet. What do you want to do today?" Ciel informed and patted Lu's back for the last time, making sure she didn't feel hurt anymore.
"I'm going to bring Rena to the cafe. Let me prepare myself!" Lu shouted and jumped out of the bed.
Crack!
"My back!"
"Lu!"
Ain unlocked the cafe and turned on the lights. He felt the presence of someone, even though the cafe was locked the entire day. Luriel wasn't there yet, so he searched around while Ara cleaned the cafe before it opened.
He entered the staff room, looking at Chung wearing his stockings. He summoned his pendulum and glared at the boy. "Prove it you're real."
"How can I prove it if you can't even remember a thing?" Chung asked without looking at the angel. "Maybe your engagement with Ara?"
A coin appeared in front of the angel and flipped.
Green.
"Hm… Yes, I remember that," Ain said with a smile, recalling his time with Ara at the hotel for dinner.
Ara approached them and peeked over the door. "Chung? How did you get here?"
"Rena said her luck was destined by a coin, so she kept trying to lockpick the cafe until she got lucky," Chung explained and wore his heels. He got up and looked at himself in the mirror, making sure he was properly dressed for work. "And locked it back with the same trick."
"That's… unique," Ara smiled, but didn't know what to feel about it.
Ring!
Luriel came to the cafe. Ara turned around to greet her boss, but then a coin appeared.
Red.
"Luriel, welcome back–Ah!"
Ara tripped and about to fall, but Ain caught her quickly before she touched the ground. Luriel just laughed at them and greeted her workers. "Thank you for protecting the cafe, everyone. L-Let's get back to work!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
Elsword and Eve were going to their workplace, but the place was empty. The furniture and items inside were being packed out. While they were approaching the boss' secretary, they saw the coin.
Red.
After that, they went to Cobo Cafe instead. "Welcome, prince and princess~!" Ara bowed down and greeted them with a smile. "Why are you guys here?"
Elsword laughed when he saw Chung, but to his surprise, his friend just smiled and continued working. They picked their seats on the corner because they planned to stay there until they knew what to do. "Our boss was a demon and he vanished 2 days ago, so the secretary closed down the whole company instead because of the fraud news it was spreading. She gave us our salary for the month too," Eve explained the situation.
"I-I see…" Ara nodded her head and handed the menus.
"Tell Chung to serve our orders!" Elsword shouted with a smile. Eve just sighed, not knowing what to say to it.
Ara forced herself to smile and faced Chung. "You heard him!"
After a few minutes, Chung served the couple's order on their table. Elsword couldn't hold his laughter anymore, tears came out from his eyes. Even Eve started laughing. "I-I'm sorry. How can you be so stoic about this?" Eve apologized.
"I accepted the job myself. What do you want me to express?" Chung asked as he tilted his head.
"You look nice, though. I was once a crossdresser, so trust me!" Elsword smiled and gave a thumbs up.
Chung sighed and looked away from them. "Thank you. Don't be too obvious about cheating on Eve," he said before he left them to serve the other customers.
"What do you mean?!" Elsword yelled and got no response from his friend. He pouted and looked at his girlfriend. Eve was laughing at him until she saw a coin being flipped.
Red.
Now her system provided a lot of alternative funny scenes in her core. It was mostly a scene where her boyfriend actually left her for his best friend. She can't stop laughing anymore.
Ring!
"Welcome back, prince and princesses," Ain bowed down to greet their new customers. He led them to their seats, which were next to Elsword and Eve. Lu, even as a normal customer, was praised by the other customers because of her show to lift up the curse.
"Ain, they like it when you look at the camera. Say something!" Lu smiled and raised her phone to zoom at Ain's face.
"I don't care. They're not here," Ain replied coldly as he handed the menus. Apparently his response was also loved by Lu's stream viewers.
"E-Eeeh… I haven't seen this kind of food and drinks in ages…" Rena muttered and flipped the pages with a confused look. In her timeline, the cafe menu wasn't popular anymore. Ciel had to help to remind her of the taste… because Ain obviously couldn't do it.
Lu got off from her seat and walked toward the couple. "Look, lovebirds! Say something to chat!" She smiled and caught both of them on her phone camera. Elsword just waved his hands at the camera and kept eating their meal while Eve was still dying from laughter.
She approached Ara and zoomed in on her breasts for a while. Ara didn't notice it and just smiled on the camera. "Rate our cafe, please!" she smiled and looked at Lu with sparkling eyes.
"It's 10/10 for me. There's only 1 chef, but everything came out really quickly," Lu praised genuinely and nodded her head.
"I'm learning to prepare coffees lately. Do you want to try?" Ara asked and clapped her hands together. Lu accepted it and ordered a caramel latte before going back to her seat.
A melody was heard from their seat, which was Rena playing her instrument. "Is it fine? Can I sing here?" Rena asked for permission before filling the whole cafe with her singing voice.
A coin was flipped in the middle of the cafe. This time, everyone affected by the potion could see it.
Green.
Luriel peeked out of the kitchen and faced the angel. "T-There's a microphone and a speaker on top of the locker. Pick it up for her!" she smiled before she went back to prepare the orders.
"Oh, nice! My content!" Lu raised her hands in the air while reading her stream chat. They were excited for the songs.
Raven was still on patrol in the evening and happened to pass by their street performers friends. With a bunch of coin flips that were happening, the performance became a comedy show. It was more crowded than usual because a lot of people enjoyed it.
"Don't worry, Aisha. I always have fresh flowers for you," Nisha smiled and summoned a small flower field. They were grown in the dark woods, but the flowers were bright. A coin was flipped in front of Aisha.
Red.
The flowers died instantly, making the crowd laugh and clapping their hands. "Ah… not today, I guess," Nisha said with a disappointed look.
Aisha giggled and pointed her staff at Nisha. "There's no need to worry! I'll be the fresh flower," she smiled and transformed herself. But in the middle of her transformation, she saw a coin.
Red.
And she ended up wearing a hedgehog mascot suit, making the crowd laugh louder. "Oh… I'm a fresh round guy!" Aisha quickly made any pose she could think of.
After a while, Raven left them to continue his patrol. What was he supposed to patrol anyway?
He walked past a clinic. The place had a bit more people than usual. He decided to check it out, only to find Noah casting his healing magic to the patients. It didn't take long until Noah walked out of the place. The kid noticed his presence and ran after him. "Raven, are you on a patrol? I can help."
For some reason, Noah was sweating and had trouble catching his breath. Raven found this odd, so he asked about it. "What happened–"
A coin was flipped, showing the green side.
A biker was trying to steal a woman's purse, but he lost his balance and fell to the ground. The woman wasn't harmed, only the biker. "I'll handle that for a bit. Wait here," Raven said as he approached the biker. His co-worker was nearby and taking the biker to custody for now.
They walked to the army because Raven had to report what happened during the day before going home. He finally finished his work and got to ask Noah the question. "What happened to you?"
"Don't worry about me," Noah smiled, even though he looked like he could pass out anytime.
Raven bought a random drink from the nearest vending machine and gave it to Noah. The kid was confused, but he accepted. "You don't have to–Wah!"
Raven carried Noah on his back and walked home. "You deserved more than a drink. Good work for today."
Noah opened the can and drank it quickly. It was just normal apple juice, but he felt so refreshed. "You too. Good work for today!"
Elesis had been at home all day, preparing her cosplay stuff with Rena. She kept glancing at Add's lab, waiting for Rose to come out from it. But she didn't and she was still inside.
Rose was just lying down on Add's bed doing nothing. Despite all the activity she could've done, she just wanted Add to come back. She couldn't sleep either. Sometimes she distracted herself by triggering the red sided coin while cleaning her weapon, so she'd have something to do.
But still… Where was he?
Just when she was thinking about him countless times, a coin was flipped.
Green.
Crack!
Add showed his head from one of the cracks in the space. "Since when did you become this lazy?"
Rose heard the familiar voice and hugged him right away. "I missed you! Did you find Rena?"
Add sighed and broke the hug. "Not yet. I'll search for more," he said as he turned around. His face flushed, knowing that Rose was waiting for him this whole time. "I'll be back. Don't act like I'm lost in time and space!"
"Alright, then. See you!" Rose waved her hand and watched her surroundings back to normal.
"What did you do to Noah?! Why is he unconscious and sweating?!"
"He's sleeping–You woke him up!"
Rose heard Elesis and Raven arguing outside the lab. She finally went out and looked at them in the living room. Elesis was facing Raven with Noah on his back. The kid woke up and yawned, rubbing his eyes after a short sleep.
Elesis apologized to both of them for misunderstanding. "I saw a red coin. I thought there was something bad going on."
Raven looked at the dress Elesis was working on. His eyes' widened a bit when he noticed something and pointed at it. "There's a hole in your dress, so maybe that–"
Elesis rushed to check on her dress and spotted the hole. "Noooo! Why?!" she screamed and mourned for it.
"Where are the others? Are they all busy?" Rose asked as she looked around. She realized how hungry she was after locking herself in Add's lab.
"Aisha and Nisha are busy. The coins helped their performance," Raven reported and recalled the moment he saw them. There was no way they would come home and leave the crowd just like that.
"Lu and Ciel brought Rena to the cafe. They're still there, I guess?" Elesis shrugged and looked away from her dress.
"I'll prepare our dinner. I'm bad though," Rose said as she walked to the kitchen. Any food should work as long as everyone gets full.
"Let me help–"
"Just rest and eat your snack. You look paler than usual," Raven stopped Noah from trying to help and stared at the kid. Was he always this pale or he's getting sick?
Noah hung his head and looked at his hands. More parts of his arms were crystallized from overusing his own power. He didn't even heal everyone in the clinic.
Elesis patted his head with a smile. "Don't overdo it, Noah. Who's gonna heal people in the clinic tomorrow if you're sick?" She asked with a sad look and frowned. "We'll prepare dinner. You can eat your snacks and recover your energy. How's that sound?"
Noah's eyes widened and looked at Elesis. He eventually smiled and nodded. "Okay, I'll wait for dinner," he said before he went upstairs to get his snacks.
Elesis sighed and scratched her head. "That works, I guess? Why is it so hard to tell him to rest?"
"I… can't cook either, but I'll do my best," Raven said as he grabbed an egg and cracked it. A coin was flipped.
Red.
"It's rotten!" Rose yelled and covered her nose from the stinky smell.
Elesis smiled wryly and looked at the ingredients in the fridge. A coin was flipped.
Red.
"The milk expired?!" Elesis shouted and sighed heavily. She forced herself to laugh and looked at her friends. "This will take a while, guys…"
The others got home late. Aisha and Nisha came home first and saw the people in the house in the dining room. They were eating instant noodles and rice as their dinner. Nisha didn't care and walked straight to the girl's bedroom. "Did you guys not have any other food?" Aisha asked with a confused look. She didn't remember her friends being this desperate for food.
"The cooking time got really wrong with these coins…" Rose pouted, but she kept eating her food. On the other hand, Noah enjoyed it like any other food he usually ate.
Nisha came out of the room with threads to make more bracelets. She sat alone with her mirror while Aisha took a seat at the dining table to listen to their cooking stories.
After an hour, the others finally came home. They were standing in a line and facing the dining room because their friends stayed there to talk after dinner. "Guys… We all need a phone. We're so outdated," Eve said as she showed several screens from her drones. "I can contact people through my drones. I'm sure the same applies to Add."
"Why now, all of a sudden?" Rose asked as she raised her one eyebrow. She never felt the need for a phone because she's always with Add. Even if he wasn't around, she could always find the others.
"Because of what happened yesterday. I've been thinking about it," Eve folded her arms and stared at everyone. She was in control, but not everyone else. What if Elesis' team got killed yesterday? They didn't even know the team was struggling and just believed they'd come back. "It doesn't have to be a phone, though. I just want us to be able to communicate easily, even if we're far away."
"Just make a contract with me and we all can telepath together," Lu nodded her head proudly.
"I'd rather elope with Ara than that," Ain snapped at her, making his fiancee blushed while the others laughed at it.
"Is it the weird rectangle device most people have?" Noah asked while opening a box of cookies. He grabbed one of them and ate it.
"Yeah, that. What do you guys say?" Eve asked again and looked at everyone.
"...Do we have the money?" Aisha asked the most important part of the plan. Buying the phone itself will be expensive. "We will need to charge it frequently. That'll be… 12 phones in total. That's a lot of power we're using!"
"Trigger Add."
They turned their faces to Elsword and Chung, who just said the same idea together. "We can just make Add mad and he'll charge the phones by accident," Chung said as he looked away from them. He came out with it randomly, so why not just say it?
But Rose laughed at it really loudly. So loud that tears came out of her eyes and her stomach hurt. She finally wiped her tears and faced her friends. "Add's sparks from his Dynamo are actually harmless. I-It might work–ahahaha!"
Rena sighed and shook her head. "Where did you get these kinds of ideas…?"
But the other girls laughed along with Rose. "That's how we charge our phones, though! We asked Eve's help," Lu giggled and walked toward Eve. She patted the Queen of Nasod's back and smiled at everyone. "It's legit!"
Just a few seconds before midnight, a coin was flipped in front of Eve's face.
Red.
"Then everyone will be busy with their phones like Rena and Lu. I don't want it," Ara pouted in disagreement. It was only a speculation, but everyone agreed with her.
"We don't need a reason to trigger Add anyway," Chung shrugged and walked upstairs.
Eventually everyone went back to their bedroom. Eve was a bit disappointed her idea got rejected, but it wasn't a high priority, so she wouldn't force it. Elsword grabbed Eve's hand before they went back to their own room. "What's wrong? You look concerned," Elsword asked as he stared at Eve's eyes.
"Hangout with Chung for once. I don't remember him being this troublesome," Eve said with a slightly worried tone. She remembered her boyfriend and Chung were best friends, but not to the point where Chung was willing to cause troubles by himself.
"Hm… Me neither. I'm sure he's still sad about his dad and just trying to move on," Elsword said and scratched his head in confusion. He nodded his head and smiled with confidence. "He'll be fine! Then you should hang out with everyone because I always have you for myself," he said before kissing her girlfriend on her lips. "Good night!"
"G-Good night," Eve smiled and watched him walk upstairs before going to the girl's bedroom.
