The girl's room was quieter than usual. Everyone was tired of getting too much bad luck, although the good luck was good enough to make them happy. "Hey Rena, how's your gang? Are they more troublesome than us?" Ara asked in curiosity. She met some of them before, but she couldn't judge.
"Hm… Add and Elesis tend to make trouble, to be honest…" Rena sighed heavily, remembering how much the couple caused trouble to literally everyone, including themselves. "But sometimes their acts unlock the key evidence we needed."
"What's your world like? Is it the same demon invasion problem as us?" Eve asked, wondering if all timelines would be more or less the same. She heard enough from Add, but they didn't seem that different.
"No, all of us coexist under Eve's rule. She's the leader of our world, but she's kinda scary," Rena forced herself to laugh and looked at Eve. The Eve in her world had a completely different aura from Eve in front of her, even though both of them had the same destruction vibe. "We're in charge of inspecting crimes. Not really a fun job, if I said so myself."
"Crimes…? Yeah, we don't deal with that for some reason," Aisha said with a confused look and stared at the ceilings. They fight demons, but how come they never took care of any crimes happening in the town?
"Relax, I'm sure Add will be back today! Let's play around," Rose giggled and grabbed a violet potion.
Shrink Potion: Everyone shrinks to a mouse size! How would they even live for the day?
Ciel woke up early and found everything way bigger than usual. Next to him was Raven, who still had the same size as usual. But after he thought about it properly as he looked at his surroundings, he realized they were the one shrinking. He sighed heavily and jumped off the bed. He wasn't small enough to get out of the room from the space under the door, but thankfully he got enough strength to open the door.
Bang! Bang!
"Knock it off! Do you suddenly hate me that much?!" Elsword yelled at Chung, who was shooting him non-stop since they woke up. It already happened for hours, both of them finally ran out of stamina and fell to the floor.
"What are you guys doing?" Ciel asked with a confused look. How come he didn't hear any of this ruckus when he was sleeping?
"Elsword can't get his weapon because it's too big. I'm taking advantage," Chung replied with a smile and stared at the gun on his left hand.
Ciel sighed heavily and shook his head. "You two used to create problems together, now it's just Chung bullying Elsword. I don't know which one is better."
"Me neither. He instantly fell asleep after saying that, so what else could go wrong?" Elsword answered as he got up and approached Ciel. Even though he's tired, he always has the energy to do something. "So… Can we eat anything today?"
Lu flew to them to the second floor. She landed on the floor and folded her wings. "This house is too big for us now. We need to gather in one location before someone gets randomly eaten by a stray cat."
Elsword remembered her girlfriend's weapon. If his weapon didn't get affected, then maybe neither her weapon. "Did Eve's drones shrink? They can protect us!"
Lu thought about it as she recalled what she saw in the girl's room. Everyone shrunk, but the weapons stayed as they were. "Hm… You're right, they didn't. Aisha can cast magic without her staff and Ara is a martial artist, so they should be fine!"
"Let's gather in the living room! I'll wake up the others," Elsword suggested as he ran to the nearest bedroom to wake up the others. Lu agreed and went back to the girl's room to call them.
They gathered in the living room. The rug felt so fluffy with their current size. Chung, Lu, and Noah were sleeping from the comfiness of the rug. "Hm… but what should we do for the day? Everything is too big," Ara asked with a concerned look. They could work together to do normal stuff like cooking, but it would take so much time to do everything.
Crack!
The space was cracked and a spot shattered, revealing a magenta space. Add came out from it along with Rena from their world.
"Guys, I'm home–"
The real Rena was turned to silence, seeing her friends were together like a bunch of hamsters on the rug. She was going to have a nice reunion with them, but now what? She didn't know what to do.
"Huh, you got a nice house here."
"Hm… I hate big houses. It's always the source of murders."
"Noah, shut up."
"I'm here, we'll be fine! Don't hurt yourself now."
Crash!
The space went back to normal, even though they heard a crashing sound. Add sighed and stared at the other three who just came out from the same space. "Now I have to send you home."
"Um…" the real Rena looked at her friends, then at their new guests. "Let's… fix something first. Me, you, Ara and Noah will be called by our class name for now."
Mad Paradox glared at Doom Bringer, who was enjoying the time and space experience like it was a game. "I'm sending you home later at night," he said in a slightly annoyed tone and looked at Noah from the other timeline, "Celestia, we barely have murders here. Don't accuse people randomly," he informed before looking at Ara from the other timeline. "Surya, we barely hurt ourselves. Don't worry."
Celestia rolled his eyes, but he nodded his head and smiled. "Got it, small Add! Where's my fellow Noah then?"
"Oh my god! Noah–Celestia!" Prophetess shouted with sparkling eyes and jumped toward Celestia.
Celestia smiled widely and caught his friend with his hands. He put her on his shoulder. They clapped their hands twice, starting to dance and sing.
"The next time, I don't want to be alone. Next time, I'm gonna call you on the phone!"
"...I told you Elesis and I weren't the only troublemakers," Doom Bringer shrugged and told the others to ignore his friends.
"So…" Twilight squatted down and looked at her friends. "How are you guys? I'm missing a lot."
"We're fine, thank you. We dealt with a demon invasion a few days ago," Eve informed her to reassure everything was fine.
The three sleeping people finally woke up and greeted Twilight. "Ara and Ain are engaged," Chung informed her right away, making the couple blush instantly.
"H-Huh?! Congrats?!" Rena congratulated the couple with a confused smile. She wasn't sure what to say after that. Why did she feel like she was away for years?
Mad Paradox narrowed his eyes on the guests. "Go to Cobo Cafe and replace these people for their job," he said as he walked to his lab and locked himself in. He went to a lot of similar timelines until he finally found the correct one to bring Twilight back. He took off his hoodie and looked at his own body that slowly turned white from too much time travel. Well, at least he knew the timeline coordination now. It's time to rest and send them home later.
Since Surya obviously looked a lot like Shakti, Luriel couldn't tell they were different people. The boss assumed Ain and Chung were sick for the day, so Shakti's friends came to help in their places.
"Hm~ I think I'm kinda cute. Do you want to peek?" Celestia winked and lifted up his skirt to show his thighs to Surya.
Surya smacked Celestia's head and glared at him. "Bad! No horny!"
Twilight sighed heavily and massaged her forehead. She brought her whole friends and let them sit on top of her handkerchief on the table. She felt safer when she could see them instead of leaving them home. "What did you guys do when I was away…?"
"Ah, Nyx Pieta?" Celestia turned around and faced his other self. Unlike his usual smile from the moment they met, he looked sad so suddenly. "Did… something happen to Clamor?"
Nyx Pieta was about to cry, but Celestia snapped his finger. An elf was materialized–a gold elf with green eyes. He sat on the opposite side of Twilight and looked at Nyx Pieta. "Clamor, play with him for the day! I'm gonna be busy," Celestia smiled and waved his hands to serve their customers.
"Clamor?" Nyx Pieta stared at Clamor with teary eyes. He stood up and slowly walked toward the elf.
"Hah… The me in here isn't really responsible, huh? Leaving a kid alone," Clamor smiled and patted Nyx Pieta's head carefully with his fingers. "Alright then, what do you want to play?"
"Clamor, I'm sorry!" Nyx Pieta cried and hugged Clamor's hand. He never managed to apologize because… Clamor in this world died to protect him. He still couldn't apologize, but he was hoping that apologizing to the other Clamor would make him feel better.
Clamor smiled and patted Nyx Pieta's back. "On behalf of Clamor in this world, I forgive you. I'm sure he will."
Twilight startled as she remembered something. Doom Bringer came to them with an annoyed look. "What is it now? No free food!"
"I-I'm paying, I'm paying!" Twilight shouted as she opened the menu and ordered several food and drinks. It was definitely too much for two people… or two people with a bunch of hamster-like people. Doom Bringer didn't ask about it and took their orders. Twilight smiled slightly and looked at her friends, especially Nyx Pieta. "I'm sure you guys are hungry!"
"Oh, isn't that nice for you, Nyx Pieta? You'll see giant food for the day!" Lu shouted with a smile. The thought of seeing a huge meal in front of them made Nyx Pieta smile with sparkly eyes.
After a while, the food finally came. Surya served their orders and placed them on the table carefully to not startle the little people. "Thanks for the meal! Come on, let's eat!" Twilight smiled, seeing the familiar dishes from her own timeline. She finally got to eat something she normally did.
"One… two… three!"
While Chung and Lu held the spoon with their bodies, Nyx Pieta was at the other end of the spoon, using the momentum so he could jump right into the chocolate cake. Lu joined in by asking Chung to help her jump toward the cake. But Chung didn't do the same after; he went to Twilight's plate and ate her food. "Get your own meal!" Twilight yelled and poked Chung a bit with her spoon.
"Everyone is eating together. Why don't I get to eat with you?" Chung asked with a straight face and kept eating her food.
Twilight glanced at her friends on the table. Nyx Pieta, Lu, and Clamor were eating the chocolate cake. The omelet was surrounded by Shakti, Ain, Elesis and Ciel. The soup was still hot and looked dangerous, but with Aisha's magic; Elsword, Eve, Prophetess, and her could eat it without getting burned by the soup's temperature. Raven, Rose, and Nisha were eating grilled steak. Chung could join any of them, but he chose to eat with Twilight. "Sigh… Alright then, Chung. How about you take a little of every dish for us to eat?"
"Sure thing. Give me a moment," Chung nodded his head and ran around the table to grab a piece of every dish.
While she was looking at him, she was thinking about how easy it would be for her to just take everything by herself. But maybe the saying "meals taste better with friends" was actually true. Chung finally got them all and sat on the side of her plate. "Let's eat!"
They went to the beach in the evening to play with the sand. Prophetess decided to stay with her friends in the cafe. Clamor wouldn't go too far from Celestia, which made Nyx Pieta a bit sad. But after they bought a few snacks to be brought to the beach, his sadness was gone.
Twilight helped them make a sand castle, which was later turned into some kind of military base by Raven and Rose. "Don't go too far, guys. I can't watch all of you," Twilight warned them.
Nyx Pieta enjoyed his snack more than playing with the sand. "Did you solve any crime? Prophetess said she had a world of crimes."
Twilight laughed nervously and looked away from them. "It's… not as easy as the stories I used to read. The case could go for days and we were nowhere near completing it."
"Help! A crab!"
Elsword and Chung ran away from a giant crab toward Twilight direction… that was actually a normal sized crab. Twilight grabbed them carefully with her hands and made the crab go away with a hand gesture. She's an elf, so it wasn't really surprising if animals listened to her. But still, it always amazed her friends. "You can talk to animals?" Elsword asked in curiosity.
"Something like that. Are you guys hurt?" Twilight asked as she checked her friend's body to see if there's any injuries.
"Tame him next if you can talk to animals," Chung said and pointed his finger at Elsword.
Elsword narrowed his eyes and prepared himself to attack Chung. "What does that mean?!"
"Help! Nisha got swept by the wave!"
Nyx Pieta, who was previously enjoying his snack, rushed toward them and froze the sea. Thankfully his body size made his freezing area smaller, otherwise they would create a weird rumor about frozen sea in a desert.
He approached Nisha, who looked completely fine, despite being dragged by the wave. He helped her get back to the sand and casted his healing skill. "Are you fine?"
Nisha giggled and waved her hands around. "Of course I'm fine! I'd be dead a long time ago if I can't stay alive in that kind of situation–"
Nyx Pieta hugged her body tightly. He was trembling, tears rolled down to his cheeks. "I'm glad. I… don't want to lose another friend…" he muttered and sobbed while feeling the warmth of Nisha's body. He didn't want to hug a cold body anymore.
"Look at you, crying like I'm gonna die to a wave," Nisha smiled and patted his head. "Sorry for worrying you. I'm fine."
Twilight just giggled and let her friends climb to her shoulders. "It's getting late then. The waves and wind are getting stronger. Let's head home!"
Mad Paradox opened his eyes after a long sleep that felt short with the dream he had. Sadly it was one of those moments where people just forgot what they dreamed about the moment they woke up. He felt something warmer on his back, even though he used the blanket like usual. He couldn't move much either, but he already knew what was happening. "Celestia, what are you doing?"
"Making sure you're not sending us back right away!" Celestia smiled and hugged Mad Paradox's body tighter from the back. "Let us have the fun!"
Mad Paradox moved his Dynamo to teleport him away from Celestia. He grabbed everyone from another timeline one by one and gathered them in the backyard. "You're going home. See you soon," he said without letting any of them say goodbye to everyone. All of them fell into magenta space until they eventually got back to their own world.
This is the story of Prophetess' Timeline. Here's everyone's classes that are going to be mentioned below!
Rena - Prophetess
Eve - Code: Antithese
Ara - Surya
Add - Doom Bringer
Noah - Celestia
"Did you have your fun?"
The four people who went to visit another timeline startled and stood up to face the threatening voice. They're in an office, most likely a leader's office because there was nobody else around except them and the one sitting on the chair. Rena, who was still as small as a mouse and sitting on Noah's shoulder, laughed nervously and put her palms together. "T-They're coming to ensure my safety, Eve. A-And I'm finally back!"
Eve, the leader, started smiling and glared at them. Her black pupil showed up–while it was usually not shown in her eyes. She didn't say anything, but the four people knew they couldn't make any excuses for defying her. Add sighed and stared at her. "Look, we need some days off. We're not Nasods."
Despite him the one saying that, Rena, Ara, and Noah were the ones getting the cold sweat. Talking back was never an option. Who knows what Eve would do to Add now?
"Then let's have days off. Everything is under control, I believe?" Eve replied as she used her drones to look at the current cases they were dealing with. She nodded her head, feeling satisfied with what she was seeing. "Then let's have fun for a week. Call me if you need anything. You may leave."
The four people left and sighed in relief. "What the heck, Add?! I'm not up for one hour of torture!" Noah yelled and smacked Add's head with his sickle.
"For one week of messing up the timelines, I was ready," Add smirked and showed a small bottle of gold liquid. Ara and Noah were confused with what that was, but Rena already saw it for a few times already. Her eyes widened in surprise, she pointed at the liquid with a wide smile. "The spirits told me to never use that one! What's it for?"
"That Chung told me to gather everyone with this," Add chuckled and opened the bottle. "How bad is it anyway?"
"Is he not pranking you? The potions are in the girl's room," Rena asked, feeling a bit skeptical about the bottle they just opened. "Chung shouldn't be able to tell the potion's effect, let alone the potion location in the first place."
Add laughed maniacally at her statement, his left eye glowed in excitement. "He didn't lie, I know a liar just by talking. He remembered the color, but not the location. The wardrobe is a bad place to hide things, we found it ourselves!"
Ara narrowed her eyes at the maniac. "You peeked at women's clothes?"
"I do too if I have to. Who cares about privacy?" Noah smiled and clapped his hands.
Rena forced herself to laugh and looked away from them. Her face was bright red, they started asking if she was sick. She DID some stuff to that other Chung for the sake of hiding her identity and failed miserably. She couldn't even blame Add for what he did now.
Special thanks to Astry for the idea!
