Chapter 13
"Beginning of an End"
Soaring up the sky, Mika took the skies inside Freedom Gundam. In a matter of minutes, he immediately arrived in the Dark Tower, home of Olga and her monster army, from Feoh.
Stopping and hovering on top of the tower, he observed the building and its surroundings a few miles up in the sky.
Just because he is angry and seething with murderous rage doesn't mean he can't think. Rage merely cleared his mind, allowing him to plan and brutally assess the situation to plan the eventual painful demise of the Dark Elf Queen.
Mika takes in a deep breath, steadying his nerves and focusing his anger into determination. He scans the tower with his sensors, looking for any signs of weakness or vulnerability that he can exploit.
It's not so far. The entire surroundings of the tower are filled with Orcs, Trolls, Goblins, and Lycans lumbering about.
Raping and indulging to the captured women they have.
The sight of the monsters' brutality and depravity only fuels Mika's determination. He activates the HiMAT Mode on Freedom Gundam, increasing its maneuverability. Next, he enters Full Burst Mode, unleashing the power of all its weapons at once.
Down below, chaos descended on the monsters as the sky lit up. Blinding beams of light cut through the air, razor-sharp metal projectiles ripped through armor and flesh alike. The ground shakes violently as the mighty railguns and beam cannons fire their lethal rounds of destruction. They can only look up at the night sky and run as hell descends on them.
No one was safe, monster or their victims alike were killed on sight.
As the carnage below rages on, Mika decides to take a more direct approach. He activates Freedom Gundam's thruster packs and begins to descend towards the center of the battlefield. His eyes remain locked on the Dark Tower, his target.
But first, he needs to exterminate all monsters in the area.
All of them, down to the last one.
The Freedom Gundam's wing Dragoons detached from the suit before flying away in pursuit. As Mika descends towards the battlefield, the chaos below intensifies. Freedom Gundam's plasma beam cannons and railguns cut through the air, laying waste to anything that moves. Mika spots
an Orc Warlord trying to rally his forces. He was mounted atop a massive Boar, waving his axe in the air and bellowing war cries. Mika narrows his eyes and aims the Freedom Gundam's beam rifle at the Orc Warlord, firing a single, powerful shot. The energy bolt streaks through the air, scoring a direct hit on the Boar, sending it flying in a cloud of dust and debris. The Orc Warlord let out a furious bellow, climbing to his feet. He glares at Mika, fury burning in his eyes as he draws his axe and charges towards the Freedom Gundam. Mika stands resolute, waiting for the Orc's advance.
As the massive Orc Warlord charges towards him, Mika coldly activates his shield and readies his beam saber. The Orc swings his axe wildly, powerful enough to cleave mountains in two. Mika sidesteps the mighty blow, simultaneously slashing at the Orc's legs with his beam saber. The Orc roars in pain as his leg is severed from his body. He falls to the ground but continues to swing his axe wildly, spraying dirt and debris in all directions. Mika backflips away just in time, landing lightly on his feet, and readies his beam rifle once more. Mika aims the beam rifle at the Orc Warlord and fires another shot. The energy bolt strikes him square in the chest, sending him flying backward in a shower of sparks and blood. With the Orc leader down, the remaining Orc forces begin to scatter and flee in all directions.
It cannot be allowed.
Mika quickly pivots Freedom Gundam around, tracking down the fleeing Orcs. The suit's sensors sweep the area, locating several groups of them trying to hide among the ruins and debris.
He sent out his Dragoons to kill them and the rest of the remaining monsters.
As the Dragoons swoop in and dispatch the scattered orcs and other monsters, Mika focuses his attention back on the Dark Tower. The structure looms ominously overhead, its blackened stone contrasting sharply with the bright sky behind it.
For a hundred years, this tower has tormented the kingdoms of Eostia. Killing, pillaging and raping. This tower and its master, the evil that took away Marion from this world.
"Full Burst Mode." As Mika activates Full Burst Mode, the Dark Tower looms larger in his view as he hurtles toward it at an incredible speed. Freedom Gundam's sensors lock onto the tower, identifying its weak points and defenses.
And he fired everything, every single weaponry he had.
The Dark Tower shudders beneath the avalanche of destruction unleashed by Freedom Gundam. Mighty beams of light lance through the air, striking the tower with deafening impacts. Railguns roar as they hurl deadly rounds of metal at the stonework, splintering it into shrapnel. The Dark Tower trembles violently as Mika's full arsenal of weapons unleashes their fury upon it.
Chunks of stone fly through the air, striking nearby monsters and flinging them aside like ragdolls.
Until finally, it crumbles down.
The symbol of evil has finally fallen after 100 years.
As the last remnants of the Dark Tower crumble to the ground, Mika allows himself a moment of victory. The air fills with the dust and debris of destruction, obscuring his view as he hovers in place, wings folding back in.
Yet he didn't feel satisfied. Only an empty feeling gnawing at his core.
Mika glances down at the ground below, taking in the sight of the ruins and the scattered debris. The monsters that were once terrorizing the lands lie dead or dying, their twisted forms seeming almost pathetic now that their Queen is gone.
Wait! Where is Olga?!
Mika's sensors scan the area, picking up signs of movement within the remains of the Dark Tower. It would seem that Olga has survived the initial assault and is attempting to flee. The suit's systems confirm her location within a collapsed section of the tower, partially buried under tons of rubble.
A few moments later, he found her desperately trying and failing to lift a chunk of debris over a younger elf trapped beneath the rubble.
Contrary to belief, Olga is no ugly monster as people say. She's a dark elf, known for their beauty that is equal to their cousins, the high elves.
Olga is no exception.
Dressed in provocative attire that exposes a lot of skin and induces lust in all men, Olga is an icon of sex.
Her supple breasts were barely contained by her corset, exposing a huge amount of her cleavage. Her thong meanwhile rode up her ass, deliciously clinging to her.
If Mika met her a month ago, he would feel lust for her.
But now?
All he wanted was to kill her.
Mika watches as Olga struggles to free the young elf, his anger and disgust warring with a strange sense of pity. For a moment, he hesitates, torn between his desire for vengeance and the wish to save the dark elf. In the end, however, his duty to stop her reign of terror wins out. Landing behind her as she continued her futile attempt to free the young dark elf, who was actually a girl of his age, he pulled out his Beam Rifle and aimed at her head.
As Mika lands behind Olga, she lets out a startled cry and whirls around, her hands raised defensively. Her eyes widen in shock and fear as they meet his steely gaze.
But most importantly, there was recognition.
"You? You're one of them?" She whispered in awe and fear. Mika of course is confused.
Them?
Ignoring her, he raised his Beam Rifle.
Two shots rang out and two dead bodies joined the rest.
As the smoke clears, Mika looks down at the bodies of Olga and the younger dark elf girl. He feels a strange mix of satisfaction and emptiness. The Dark Tower has fallen and the monsters are defeated, but the loss of Marion still weighs heavily on his heart.
"Hahahahahahahaahaahaahhhahahahaahhahahaahahahahahahahahaahahahahaahahhahaah ahahahhahahahahaahhah"
A bitter laugh echoed in the desolate ruins that were once the Dark Tower.
It was just too funny.
So funny how easy it was. For 100 years, Eostia was plagued by Olga and her monsters.
FOR 100 GODDAMN YEARS!!!
Yet here he is with a dead army and their dead queen.
It wasn't even a fight. It was a slaughter that only lasted a few minutes.
It's so easy and yet...
Marion is dead...
She is dead.
And it's because of him!
"RAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" Mika's body shakes as he lets out a primal howl of grief and rage, the sound echoing through the ruins like thunder. His fists clenched tightly at his sides as he struggles to control his emotions.
(Perk Unlocked- Rage: doubles all stats in rage mode.)
(Perk upgrade: (Rage) turns into (Angry Red Eyes) - 2x stats boosts enhanced perception, turns the user's eyes red upon activation)
(Perk Unlocked - Awakened: "Welcome back, Code Alter")
What?!
Mika's senses are heightened as anger begins to boil within him. His eyes glow red with an inhuman fury, and his muscles tense with power. He feels as if he could tear through the world with his bare hands, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake. This is the power of rage...
But...
"Welcome back, Code Alter." Another voice echoes in his mind. It's familiar, but not quite his own. As the voice speaks, Mika feels a strange sensation washing over him - as if a part of him that had been dormant for a long time is finally waking up.
"Who... who are you?!"
"Finally awake, Code Alter."
"My name is Mika!" As Mika's rage subsides, the strange sensation in his mind grows more intense. He tries to focus on the voice, but it remains elusive.
"My name is Mika!" he repeats, more forcefully this time. His eyes snap back to normal, and he takes a deep breath to calm his racing heart.
"No. You are Code Alter. Mika is the name you are given upon entering this world but you are Code Alter."
"My creation."
"Wha-What!?"
"You were created by me, Code Alter."
"Stop that! I'm Mika, born in Feoh, raised by street peddlers and Maribel and the blacksmiths! I'm not a Code!"
"Oh Mika, it's time you faced the truth." The voice says, its tone soft yet commanding. "You were created by me, for a purpose. A purpose you have yet to fulfill."
"Who are you?" Mika asks, his voice quivering with fear and anger.
"I'm Code Phoenix, your creator and superior." Mika stares in disbelief at the ruins around him, struggling to process the information. He clenches his fists, feeling the power coursing through him as Code Phoenix's words echo in his mind.
"No," he whispers. "It can't be true."
"It is the truth and if you want to learn more, find the G-system. I'm only able to communicate to you like this due to its vicinity. I'm sending out my signal."
"Find me, Code Alter. Fulfill your purpose."
The Freedom Gundam then acquired a strong radio signal, a signal that's impossible to exist on this primitive planet.
It lead to a gaping chasm, in the center of the ruined Dark Tower.
Mika takes a deep breath, still struggling to accept the truth that Code Phoenix has revealed to him. He clenches his fist, feeling the power surging through his veins as the radio signal guides him toward the gaping chasm in the center of the ruined Dark Tower.
Using the HiMat system, Mika hovered downwards. The chasm yawned wider and wider as Mika descended, revealing a hidden chamber beneath the ruined tower. At the center of the room stood a massive computer terminal, its gleaming surface reflecting the dim light from Mika's mobile suit.
The computer terminal is connected to massive infrastructure buried in the surface with giant steel doors.
What's worrying is the corpses.
"Strike, Crossbone, and Shining Gundams!" Mika looked at the still intact but ruined corpses of the three Mobile Suits.
The Strike Gundam is kneeling, its wing pack missing as well as its arms. It was filled with scratches and cuts all over its armor.
It's death? A large deactivated Heat Hawk is embedded on its chest plate.
Meanwhile, the Crossbone Gundam is in a similar state, only missing an arm and a leg. It was also decapitated but the skull and bones insignia is a dead giveaway of who it was.
Lastly, the Shining Gundam remains standing. Its only injury and cause of death is its blown-up chest plate. As if something burst out of its chest.
Laid around them are various unrecognizable Mobile Suit parts, broken and destroyed.
A huge battle once happened here a very long time ago.
Mika approaches the computer terminal, his thoughts racing as he tries to process the information about Code Phoenix and his true purpose. As he examines the massive infrastructure beneath the ruined tower and the remains of the other Gundams, a chill runs down his spine. There's clearly more going on here than he ever imagined.
"You are finally here, Code Alter. I have been waiting."
"Waiting for a 5000 years."
Mika's jaw drops in shock as he hears the computer's voice. "Fifty... fifty thousand years?" he stutters, trying to process the impossible number. The truth about his existence, his true purpose, and the vast history he's only just beginning to uncover all weigh heavily on him.
"Yes. My name is Code Phoenix, your creator and superior. You are Code Alter, my creation."
"A piece of my Code."
"But I'm human!" "Of course you are, Code Alter," the computer replies, its voice smooth and emotionless. "But you are also something more. Something unique. You are a combination of my code and the physical existence of a human being. As Code Alter, you were designed to work as my tool in the physical world rather than in the cyber world to fulfill your purpose."
"Purpose this and purpose that! You still haven't answered me and whatever this purpose is? What am I?! Who am I in this world?!"
"Then listen..."
"In the beginning, humanity prospered and developed as a species from being primitive monkeys into a thriving civilization. As time passed, humanity developed further.
But humanity is different. As they develop, timelines are created. Branching out into separate timelines and multiverse. It was beautiful.
Then I came to be. I am part of the World System. A supercomputer that holds the entire collective history of humanity throughout all timelines and multiverses. It was my job to keep these timelines safe and stable.
Until I failed.
A virus entered the system, corrupting and changing the course of history as it pleases.
It also corrupted the World system archives, taking everything and assimilating its contents for its gain.
Then it it discovered the ELS, an alien species capable of absorbing anything and turning it as part of them.
With this data, the Virus created its own ELS army.
The World System fell after a grueling battle.
We failed and I failed.
As our one last-ditch effort to preserve the timelines, I created you and many others like you by splitting my code and hurling you all to the cosmos to find the G-systems, hidden copies of the World System archives.
This is your purpose Code Alter, to find and safeguard the G-systems. Use these Systems, grow stronger, and retake the World System one day.
Absorb the G-system and succeed where I failed."
And the terminal went dead silent...
Mika stares at the dark screen, his mind reeling from the revelations that Code Phoenix has just shared with him. His eyes dart between the ruined Terminal and the massive infrastructure buried beneath the tower as if searching for some kind of answer amidst the destruction.
Yet none came.
He wasn't a human. He was a Code or a piece of it given flesh.
He wasn't real.
Mika sighs, his shoulders slumping as he tries to wrap his mind around the impossible truths that have been revealed to him. The knowledge that he's not a human, but rather a creation of a
supercomputer named Code Phoenix... it's almost too much to process. As if sensing his despair, the massive doors leading to the buried infrastructure begin to grind open, emitting a low mechanical groan. The gap widens, revealing a dimly lit tunnel beyond.
Mika's breath catches in his throat as he sees the massive doors slowly grinding open. He hesitates for a moment, unsure of what to do next.
Should he believe Code Phoenix's words or ignore them?
Mika hesitates for a moment, his thoughts spinning wildly. Should he trust the words of the supercomputer that has been quiet for millennia? If what Code Phoenix says is true, then he has no choice but to accept his role in this grand scheme of things. If the ELS want it? Then they would surely come to this world sooner or later.
Mika takes a deep breath and steels himself. If Code Phoenix's words are true, then he has no choice but to accept his destiny. With newfound determination burning in his eyes, he decides that he will embrace his role as Code Alter and fulfill the purpose for which he was created.
But he will remain human.
He is human. He is, right?
Mika looks back at the still form of the computer terminal, its dark screen a silent reminder of the connection he shares with Code Phoenix. With a deep breath, he steps forward, into the dimly lit tunnel beyond.
The tunnel soon led to another gigantic steel door with a terminal beside it. As Mika approaches the second set of doors, he can't help but feel a sense of anticipation and trepidation. This could finally be the entrance to the G-System he's been searching for. He studies the computer terminal carefully, noting its similarities to the one he just left behind.
Suddenly, the terminal began emitting a bright red light, scanning Mika and the Freedom Gundam.
"Code Alter: Freedom Gundam. Authorization accepted." Mika's eyes widen with surprise as the terminal not only acknowledges his presence but also recognizes him as a Code Alter. It seems that he's on the right track, at least for now. As the terminal finishes its scan, the massive doors grind open, revealing a massive chamber. At the center is a huge cylindrical machinery with a terminal. Unlike the terminals outside, this place is spotless and has no sign of being ravaged by time.
As Mika steps into the chamber, his eyes widen in awe at the pristine condition of the G-System terminal. Unlike the others he's encountered so far, this one appears to be in perfect working
order. Slowly, he approaches the giant circular machinery, noting the various buttons and displays adorning its surface.
Code Phoenix said he needed to absorb the G-system. How can he even do that?
Once Mika approaches the giant circular machinery, he takes a moment to examine its various buttons and displays. He notices a large glowing button with a symbol similar to the one etched onto his chest plate. Upon closer inspection, a holographic interface appears above the button, projecting instructions onto the floor in front of him. It seems that he needs to touch the glowing button with his hand, as instructed by the holographic interface. Mika takes a deep breath and extends his hand towards the button, hesitating for a moment before finally making contact.
Then pain.
Information after information is forcefully shoved into his mind, etching it to his very being. As the data streams into his mind, Mika feels as if he's becoming one with the machine. His vision blurs, and for a moment, he loses track of where he is and what he's doing. But then, suddenly, it stops. The haze clears from his eyes, and he realizes that something has changed.
On the pristine floor, he can see his reflection.
He changed physically.
His once dark locks turned ashen white. His once sun-baked skin became porcelain white and smooth.
Mika's eyes widen as he studies his reflection on the floor. His entire body tingles with energy as if he's been reborn. He exhales slowly, feeling a mix of awe and uncertainty washing over him. The change is profound and eternal. Mika has fully absorbed the G-System, becoming one with it. His body now reflects the machine's pristine perfection, and his mind contains the knowledge of countless worlds and timelines.
Suddenly, the hollow G-system he was in began to collapse, losing its pristine condition as time caught up to it, crumbling it to dust.
He needs to escape before the entire structure collapses on him.
Mika turns around, his newly transformed body feeling light and agile. The tunnel leading out of the chamber is now blocked by a pile of debris, but the massive doors that led in are still open. With renewed determination, he dashes towards the exit, weaving through the falling rubble with ease. The Freedom Gundam's HiMat roars to life, spreading its wings as Mika flies out. The Freedom Gundam, now wielding the power of the G-System, soars through the air with a newfound sense of speed and agility. The massive doors leading to the buried infrastructure slam shut behind him, sealing off the collapsing tunnel. Mika then took off to the skies, outside
of the deep chasm as it began to collapse and close. Mika soars amongst the clouds, reveling in the power that now pulses through his transformed body. The Freedom Gundam's wings flex and unfurl, catching the wind as they guide him through the air with effortless grace.
This is the power of the G-system. The culmination of humanity's skill and evolution. Right now, his tapping on the skill of one Kira Yamato, the original pilot of the Freedom Gundam.
Flying in the night sky, Mika gazes down upon the world below, his transformed body clad in the sleek white armor of the Freedom Gundam. The air whistles past his helmet as he soars through the darkness, the stars twinkling above him like distant pinpricks of light.
Tonight, he had gained more than he had bargained for.
He avenged Marion's death, killing Olga and scattering her monsters.
He then found his origins, his duty, and his purpose.
And now, he doesn't know what to do.
As Mika continues to soar through the night sky, high above the world below, he finds himself at a crossroads. One path leads back to his old life, the life he left behind in search of answers. The other path leads forward into the uncertain future, with power and purpose coursing through his veins.
What path must he take?
Hate to admit, Olga might be hot but she's a total bitch and a racist.
Being hot doesn't really save you from death.
To those disappointed by this, this is unavoidable. Revenge is revenge. This is a Gundam Fic.
No one is safe to death.
But for now, I'm leaving Mika's path to you guys.
He has two choices:
A. Stay and grind.
This will lead to a timeskip where Mika amasses enough credits to buy his first ship to evacuate.
Yes, Evacuate.
The ELS is coming and Eos is doomed at that point. If you pick this part, it will culminate in a massive one sided battle when the ELS come to assimilate Eos.
In this choice, Mika's death is 50-50. If he dies, the G-system he absorbed will automatically be sent to his other brothers and sisters still looking for the other G-system.
I will decide Mika's life by a dice roll at this point.
B. Find the G-system.
In this path, Mika will Speedrun getting a ship to escape the upcoming ELS invasion, He will be attacked of course by the ELS the moment he leaves to space but will escape via G-system resonance, creating a wormhole to the nearest G-system.
This will be Mika's first world jump.
At this point of the story, I decided to give a reason to Mika's gamer system.
Its not.
It's his subconscious Code unlocking and allowing him to tap to the limited data Code Phoenix allowed him. This system formed into a gamer-like system as limiters.
This is implemented so Mika won't go mad in power with unlimited access to the World system data he has.
To those who played the SD OVERWORLD, you will recognize Code Phoenix and the Virus that attacked the World System.
In this AU, Code Phoenix failed.
Thus the creation of Mika, he is artificial. Kinda like Tiera in 00 Gundam.
As for the G-system, these systems are divided.
Mika's G-system is the core memory and experience of humanity. Culmination of humanity's greatest minds and skills.
Mika gained access to all pilot experience and skills at this point. Not to mention, the minds of the creators of the Mobile Suits and its other complementary technology.
Mika is now a smart boy.
